Do you remember me ?
I am the one you overlooked, mocked , and ignored
Tonight is the retribution night
There’s no way to escape , just you and me , staring at your soul ,
You won’t see my soul , because there’s none
But you will feel my pain ,
You will feel my sharp fangs penetrating your skin , little by little, then to the veins
You’re not going to like it ,
You won’t even have the energy to scream or beg me
You’ll be paralyzed, your whole existence just dedicated to the pain I am giving you,
You’ll forget who you once were ,
And you’re going to wish I end it ,
But I won’t

An official release of the Kotor 2 missing content DLC/patch had been promised, then pulled back. It had been enough of the promise that a free game was offered to people who had bought the Kotor 2 rerelease. Why does that kind of rollback on an official plan happen? How is the decision to stop weighed against free stuff and bad PR?
I think it would help to provide a little more context as to what is going on.
Tumblr media
Way back in 2004, a game called KOTOR 2 shipped and was played by a lot of players. Many players did not like the ending, but the game had been in development for less than a year and Obsidian were on the hook to ship the game by the deadline. The game was regarded by many players as a flawed gem.
Tumblr media
Years later, modders would discover a whole bunch of unfinished endgame content in [KOTOR 2's original files]. Some of them collaborated to unlock, fill out, debug, and finish that content and restore it. This was released for the PC as an unofficial fan mod called The Sith Lords Restored Content Modification in 2009 and has had several updates since.
Tumblr media
In 2015 Aspyr Media, a smaller game publisher and developer, obtained the rights to port old Bioware games and began releasing titles like KOTOR, KOTOR 2, and Jade Empire to platforms like iOS, Linux, and Steam. It was around this time that Aspyr began working with the mod team responsible for the Restored Content Mod mentioned above, all in hopes of bringing the mod to these other platforms. The DLC was never really Aspyr's work, it was the mod team working with Aspyr to bring that content to Aspyr's Switch port of KOTOR 2. Eight years later, Aspyr announced that things had fallen through and the Restored Content DLC was cancelled.
Tumblr media
It sounds like what happened was that something essential fell apart along the way and there was really no way to complete the work in a timely and legal fashion. One of the original modders posted to reddit after the announcement was made and said "Aspyr did nothing wrong. Quote me on that. Shame it ended the way it did... I have nothing but good things to say about Aspyr and our cooperation over the past eight years". I suspect that, had the DLC been completable within reasonable circumstances, they would have done so. But there's a lot of potential issues that could have stopped them - the license may have expired, it may have been a Nintendo certification thing, the mod team could have fallen apart, there could have been some major legal liability that came to light, it could be the financial trouble currently hitting Embracer Group (Aspyr's owner as of 2001), or any of a number of things. The only people who know for sure are the mod team and Aspyr. I suspect they are all under NDA, so I doubt they will be telling.

YAY! Requests are open! 🥹
Ooooh Savage Opress and a fem reader who has bad periods to the point of not wanting to eat the first day. I mean on Dathomir the males and females are separate so I wonder what he will think about it? Imagine him like sensing or detecting the aroma of blood first thing and going all- ACT FIRST…ask questions…maybe?😂 in the typical savage fashion
AHHHH! Thank you for sending this! As someone who’s suffered from heavy PCOS symptoms, I can pull from personal experience.
Enjoy our sweet, big yellow Zabrak!
︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
You walk into the living room where Savage is sitting.
You had slowly, painfully, pulled yourself out of the bedroom because obviously you wanted some attention from your favorite Zabrak, it was going to be a long day.
You just got up hardly 10 minutes ago, only to find you started your period. You were already prepared. Physically, anyway.
Of course, despite Savage being busy with a datapad, he knows you’re there, he’s just distracted.
It takes a whole 3.4 seconds max for him to smell the blood from the distance he’s at, then shoot up from his seat.
You jump back, because wtaf? You weren’t expecting that-
He basically stomps towards you in a panic, looking you over for any clear Injuries.
“Are you hurt? I smell blood, I’ll get the medikit-“
Before you can respond, he’s already sprint past you, and you have to follow his ass into the bathroom.
You lean against the door frame, already exhausted. You definitely didn’t want to chase around a man who’s at least 2 full feet taller than you are.
He’s scrounging around in a panic for a medikit, barely noticing your presence.
You interrupt his scrounging to explain that you’re just menstruating, and that you came out for comfort, and attention. Not because you were dying.
He stares at you totally blank because what in the Sith Hells is “menstruation”?
Whatever that is, Zabraks don’t have the same functions. Even if they did, how would he know?
The word sounds roughly familiar. Did he read about it somewhere?
You roll your eyes at his dumb expression, and go to lay down on the bed. You definitely don’t have energy for this.
It takes way too damn long for him to piece it together, it’s like a bad comedy skit.
When he finally comes into the bedroom, he gently asks, “Do you want something to eat, or drink?”
You’re tempted to ask for food, but right now it just doesn’t feel right. Pain, nausea, or an upsetting mix of both stop you from asking. In any case, eating sounds like a death sentence.
You grumble out a “No. Not feeling good.” before getting more comfortable with the blankets.
Savage thinks for a moment. You’re clearly in pain, and when he’s in pain, he usually meditates if he’s not being tended to by a droid. Right now might not be the best time for that…
He comes to the conclusion that cuddles are a necessity.
He doesn’t even ask you if you want to cuddle, he just climbs in.
You’re annoyed because why the hell is he bothering you?
You stop your wordless complaining when he snuggles you from behind, and brings one of his huge hands down to your abdomen.
This man is like a 7-foot-tall, walking, talking heating element. He feels so good.
Despite not wanting to move from the cozy position you’re already in, you shift around to snuggle him back. Warmth envelops your body, and you can’t help but relax.
That’s when the purring starts.
And damn this whole man is like a massage chair given life.
Content enough to grow tired, you drift off.
When you wake up a couple hours later, you notice he’s not in bed.
Looking to the other side of the room, he’s standing there, stretching.
It takes him a moment to notice you.
“Oh- I was going to make you something, you have not eaten yet today. Sorry if I woke you…”
He literally sounds so sweet, and genuinely upset with himself just for waking you up.
“No, it’s fine.”
A soft grunt, “Is there something you want to eat? I can make it for you.”
You think about it, still unsure, but the offer is so kind, it’s hard to refuse.
You tell him what exactly it is you want.
It takes a while for him to finish, but by the time you hear the clanking of dishes die down, you know he’s almost done.
Like the sweetheart he is, he comes back into the bedroom with a smile on his face, food in hand.
To say the least, Savage is a damn good cook.
I hope this fit the bill, anon! 💗

Answering my asks p1 :)
Tumblr media
Thanks for the ask friend!
I’m super excited to get to rant with fellow Star Wars fans, especially about some underrated, courageous and amazing characters!
I love all Padmé’s handmaidens and all their quirks. Dormé’s loyalty and love for Padmé that brings her to tears in Attack of the Clones is gorgeous, and I love how the Clone Wars delved into the fact that Teckla has children to love and nurture.
So. Off the top of my head the handmaidens I can think of include:
The original five that served Padmé as Queen of Naboo:
- Sabé
- Saché
- Yané
- Eirtaé
- Rabé
Padmé’s senatorial handmaidens from Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith:
- Dormé
- Moteé
- Versé
- Cordé
- Ellé
- Hollé
And then there were handmaidens introduced not in live action, but in books like Ek Johnston’s Padmé trilogy and the Clone Wars :
- Teckla
- Duja
- Tepoh (technically Tepoh is Saché’s aid but any friend of a handmaiden is Padmé’s friend)
I researched it and apparently I forgot some rarely mentioned handmaidens like Karté, Fé, Dané, Umé and Miré.
For more information on the handmaidens and who they are, you can use resources like this one:
So, why do I love the handmaidens?
Well, the fact that these characters are made out to be simple aides to Padmé, who are responsible for her hair, clothing decisions and makeup support, but are really her trusted ‘decoys, bodyguards and confidantes,’ is so fascinating to me (quoting Star Wars.com’s Guide to the Royal Handmaidens of Naboo article). They are symbolic of that moral of not judging a book by its cover, as they are more trained, skilled and close to Padmé than most assume.
Also, I love how the handmaidens are so selfless. They sacrifice so many opportunities to enjoy their life and pursue their interests to protect a dear friend who cares for them but cannot be entirely truthful with them (Anakin boy, we love you, and we know it is not your fault, but you kind of make your wife so secretive towards her friends).
And, on a lesser note, I love how the handmaidens follow Padmé’s impeccable fashion style and wear some gorgeous cloaks and outfits. Whether they be grey velvet cloaks or the flame-coloured robes, the handmaidens pull off every simple style so effortlessly.
Talking about the lesser known handmaidens
For the lesser known handmaidens like Duja, Teckla, Tepoh and Moteé, I consider them equally as interesting as those we know more about. They each have their own unique traits that I hope can be explored in future Star Wars content, whether it be prequel era books, comics, series etc.
Duja is first mentioned in the book I really adore, Thrawn Alliances. I love how we get it inferred that Duja was passionate, courageous and willing to face any danger if it allowed her to aid the greater good. It was also a neat little touch in the book where the author mentioned how both Duja and Padmé had once discussed their longing for children of their own. Unfortunately, this character we learnt so little amount perished in the line of duty during the Clone Wars while she was investigating a Separatist factory.
Teckla seems like a sweet-natured character and I adore her. I find it funny that many believe her only appearance is in the Clone Wars, when it has been confirmed that she was the handmaiden in that Attack of the Clones scene serving dinner to Anakin and Padmé before that chat about aggressive negotiations. In the Clone Wars episode ‘Pusuit of Peace’, I love how she helps Padmé with her hair (which is revealed to be a wig) and acts as an optimistic spark of hope when Padmé is fatigued and frustrated.
I loved the introduction of Tepoh in the book Queen’s Hope. The fact that Tepoh is the first character I know of in Star Wars who goes by zhe/zhem pronouns made zhem even more fascinating to me, as I adore characters who feel confident enough to express their true personality and values. Tepoh was likeable for me as zhe were open about their inability to fit into the bleak binary of the male and female categories. I also found it cool of zhem to be willing to aid Saché in their fight for the greater good, even if it meant she had to sit and notetake a lot of information from meetings.
Although I do not know that much about Moteé, the one comic I own that features her makes me adore her. Not only do I love the scene where she walks in on Anidala kissing and she just goes straight to business, but I also love how she is inquisitive about the forbidden affair between Anakin and Padmé. Also, I admire how Moteé takes on the advice of Dormé to let Padmé be happy with Anakin, as it proves that she will be forthright with her opinions but will be open-minded when it is needed.
Enjoy the very few gifs I could find that feature the handmaidens….
And May the Force be with you all ✨

She wounds; see
But, lovingkindness lays upon     me taks pity, i’ll do my endeavour to maintaine, rather     behold the love a little waves might of passion’s force,     though thou art gone, beauty

Dark Sider Shi’al: Best Fashion, Worst Political Ideology. 💅
( aka I got bored, grabbed some png’s and reference images, and messed around for a while on my drawing app and actually made something Kinda Cool )
Tumblr media
This one’s for Shi’al’s canon timeline, most likely a year or two before the Battle of Yavin. Shi’al has fully immersed herself into her destined role as Palpatine’s Press Secretary by this point; she is fully content in her support of the Empire, and there’s not much at the moment that could shake her faith in it. Alderaan’s destruction is just around the corner, though — when she learns of its destruction at the hands of the Death Star, she begins to question Palpatine for the first time in her life …
Tumblr media
I blame @fallesto and our Enda Serenno verse for this one, but here … Sith!Shi’al my beloved. Beware; she bites.

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Season 1 (2022) Review
Tumblr media
Apologies in advance, but this review features a lot of love for Darth Vader. I mean, can you blame me?
Plot: The Jedi Master contends with the consequences of his greatest defeat - the downfall and corruption of his one-time friend and apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Say what you will about the Star Wars prequels, although lets not sugar coat it - they are bombastically crappy; but regardless the universal agreement on one of the good aspects of that trilogy is the casting of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. McGregor back then was brought the challenge of interpreting a younger version of a character that was made so signature by actor Alec Guinness in the original films. And he did great! Showcasing the inner self determination and his passion and love for his student, and seeing his sheer sadness upon seeing his friend fall to the Dark Side, it was one of the only truly emotional aspects of the prequels. Then again, the most emotional aspect was obviously the audience’s united pain in not getting to see Jar Jar Binks get killed in the most brutal fashion. Mesa not happy about that! Anyway, now with Disney churning out endless Marvel and Star Wars content, there’s evident precedent in seeing the overall quality dipping. So I was sceptical about the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, as the concept of seeing a rematch between the titular character and his former padawan was one I found interesting, but I didn’t think they could deliver.
I am happy to report that Obi-Wan Kenobi is the closest Disney has gotten to recapturing the original magic of Star Wars. Cause the sequel trilogy, there’s nothing to boast about those. The Mandalorian is great but it always felt detached from Star Wars in some ways. And Book of Boba Fett, well, that ended up just being Mando 2.5, so my point stands. However Obi-Wan brings us back to old school Star Wars, from seeing stormtroopers and lightsabre battles, to the various fan service cameos, and then there is Vader. Yep, we need to talk about Darth Vader in this show. We got a little tease in Rogue One how much Vader can be a badass, but we ain’t seen nothin’ yet!! With the combination of James Earl Jones’ voice and Hayden Christensen coming back in physical form and thankfully not talking about coarse sand, they manage to make Darth Vader such a menacing presence and someone who is filled to his core with the lust for revenge. He’s a predator that is out to seek its prey and won’t stop at nothing. Anakin wants some of that Kenobi butt, as in he wants to penetrate the fella deeply to death with his lightsabre. Am I purposefully trying to make this sound sexual for no reason whatsoever? You decide, but the matter stands that Vader steals this show and his stand off with Kenobi was nothing short of amazing!!
But its not all about Vader. Even though it is all about Vader. Look, it’s difficult to talk about this show and not get excited like the lousy nerd that I am, and honestly whenever Vader was on screen I was just in awe. Gahhh, maybe I should go marry him, shouldn’t I?! I’m messing, I am lucky enough to already be engaged to a wonderful fiancée, so I shouldn’t joke about marrying others, as she’s reading this and may cry afterwards. Anyway, the show itself works finely too. The actual narrative of Obi-Wan having to protect a young Leia, and having to deal with Inquisitors who are out murdering all the leftover Jedi after Order 66, that’s all really befit in the Star Wars universe, so again I cannot emphasise how much this felt like classic Star Wars. And the dashing Ewan is a perfect companion to carry us through it, even getting to quip his famous “Hello there” line which was naturally a cheer worthy moment.
With a strong start and super satisfying closing chapters (episodes 5 and 6 are my favourite), Obi-Wan Kenobi manages to bridge the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope to strong effect. I have heard that some users on IMDb have been bashing this show for apparently poor writing and being pointless, and of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I personally really really dug it. Even the controversial character of Reva, with the actress playing her (Moses Ingram) being bullied on Twitter for her performance, she wasn't bad. Look, was she the best Star Wars character ever? Of course not, but she was perfectly okay for what she needed to do. People forget that being a villain in a show that happens to also have Darth Vader, I mean naturally the latter outshines the others, I mean c’mon! Did I already mention that Vader is in this show? And that he is f****** awesome!!?? Guess I’m going to have to get a Hasbro helmet of Vader. I have no choice. Is it in my budget? Probably not. But in the name of Vader, I will open my wallet!
Overall score: 8/10

Time for: “this-never-happened but it COULD have” AU content from a spree I went on a while ago. . .
~Starring~ Liio & Zahied, from the perspective of Kallir
Based on: “I would love to see my pathetic (affectionate) & morally flawed but Mostly well-intentioned men hanging out with each other”
-
“Give him some space. You can lower your rifle, Agent.”
Coming from a Sith—more than capable of killing without a weapon—the tone didn’t sound particularly merciful to Kallir. The agent obeyed without pause.
He had been standing his ground against a taller man, with a smaller gun. A human. Brow thick and furrowed, short beard sparse at gaunt cheeks, and a ponytail of long, dark hair sharply marked by white strands, which made his scarred face look twice as old as it may have in more compassionate lighting.
The private side room of this Dromund Kaas cantina had a cold, dramatic ambiance: weak, colorless lights low along the walls cast the features of all three of them in shadows like silhouettes, dark-edged and desaturated.
The luminous base of a large holo-projector in the table at the man’s back outlined him in an ethereal blue, making some details clearer and others more difficult to read. There was a pock-marked, uneven texture to the skin on the right side of his face and neck, a long-healed but vicious-looking mark of another old wound pulled together in a jagged shape across the left of his forehead, and dark circles under his unflinching, dark eyes.
Kallir’s eyes were trained to gather all available information, and they adapted easily to environments darker than this.
He observed the subtle displeasure hinted at by a tighter frown. The way the stranger’s glance abandoned him for just an instant once he’d left himself open to be fired upon—no longer poised to return the favour—with his own two-handed blaster rifle aimed toward the ground.
The agent held this stance in silence, less troubled by the mundane barrel of a pistol than the approaching Sith’s vermillion eyes. The color was vivid in an uncanny degree, with a waver of orange like a heat-aura at the edges.
Circling the table, watching the human and ignoring Kallir for the time being: a young pureblooded red sith, his handsome face pierced with gold down the ridges of either side. Not much older than the agent himself, potentially.
He moved with confidence, but had chosen less ostentatious clothing than what some Sith Lords used to signal their self-importance. A front-fastening shirt with starched lapels and half-rolled sleeves would be appropriate for anyone in this setting—though Kallir did have the fashion-fluency to recognize a kind of simplicity that wasn’t based on a limited budget. At least one of the rings on those sharp-nailed red fingers looked like something a museum would display in a place of prestige on a bed of velvet; a specimen of exceptional skill from artisans of a fabled, glorious past, when every noble family had been so visibly been a product of the ‘true’ sith lineage.
At the stranger’s waist, a pair of twin lightsabers hung clipped to the left and right of his belt. Both were wear-marked, with the appearance of being well-maintained.
This wasn’t a warrior only of words and subterfuge. If he were, Kallir reasoned that he would be more likely to recognize him. He didn’t.
Though it was easy to judge by the few words the Sith had spoken that he didn’t have the accent of Kaas City—possibly not even the broader region of the Dromund sector. When it came to noteworthy individuals outside of his local sphere, Kallir usually had a chance to consult their file in the archives ahead of time.
The human was decidedly not local, which had been a point of relevance: he wasn’t Imperial at all.
That fact was something Kallir had been made aware of before a face-to-face meeting, when he’d been directed to locate this potential spy. He couldn’t guess what information an unknown Sith might have about the situation. The range of potential scenarios was as broad as it was unnerving.
But he’d marked Kallir for an operative of Intelligence, and the hierarchy of their relative stations was clear: whatever a Sith Lord wanted with an infiltrator at the heart of the Empire still took priority over his own assignment.
“You’re from the Republic,” the Sith confronted the foreigner with confident interest, confirming one piece of shared knowledge.
The focus of both their attention, resigned to admit that much, answered without so much as wavering his aim or turning his eyes again: “Yes. Who’s asking?”
Being still pointedly targeted by the human’s stare (as much as his blaster) the zabrak agent felt this question equally addressed to him as to his superior. He said nothing. Nor did he break eye contact, keeping his back toward the door, standing as neutral as a soldier at his station.
Kallir assumed the Sith wouldn’t have any concerns about someone making a run for the exit when it’d be so easy to stop them with one gesture and a thought. Blocking the way might have a psychological impact on the human, though—if he can be immediately persuaded they’ve trapped him here, he might stay engaged in the confrontation without wasting time.
The Sith, in fact, acted unconcerned with any aspect of the scenario outside of the conversation he had initiated. He did cross his arms at his chest in a casual, habitual gesture of challenge—as if to warn the tall, dark stranger against escalating aggression. It should be easy to see who among them would be the clear winner if it came to violence.
Kallir didn’t envy the position the human was in. But then: the immediate disadvantage would be his, as the most likely to be shot first.
No one held a blaster in quite the way this man did unless they were well-versed in firing one. As one professional evaluating another, Kallir was confident they were dealing with someone who had experience—and had used the skill to deadly effect, often enough.
Not one to be distracted entirely with contemplating his potential imminent death, Kallir took his observations while continuing to take in the words of the exchange. . .

History
Ki had an average Sith upbringing: Parents who trained them, then sent them to Korriban at the first opportunity. Ki passed their trials and was apprenticed to a Lord on Dromund Kaas - that Lord had a small power base, and was often paranoid of assassination attempts and betrayal as a result. He was rigorous in Ki's training, aiming to make them more of a bodyguard than apprentice, so they learned early how to look at a situation from every angle to create the best course of action.
Their master's paranoia resulted in him sending Ki to stop a smuggling operation that he suspected was to help a rival Sith's power base. Ki arrived long before the suspected smugglers, and soon found that they'd been tailed by a bounty hunter - she'd taken a contract to collect "genuine Sith and Jedi lightsabers" and had pegged Ki as easy prey. Ki defended themself, but she blinded them with acid, took one of their weapons, and bolted when the smugglers arrived with weapons drawn.
Ki found themself on the smugglers' ship being tended to, their master assumed their failure and that they'd been killed, and over the course of the weeks Kitty tended to their injuries, Ki grew...admittedly quite fond of the crew, even if they wouldn't admit it at first. They unwittingly found themself "adopted" by none other than the Voidhound and his boyfriend "Kitty," who Ki didn't learn was actually named K'hedif until weeks later. They came to enjoy the life the crew offered them, found that being treated with respect and as an equal was refreshing, and couldn't imagine going back to the Sith Empire.
Upon creation of the Alliance, Ki remained with their crew for a while as an Alliance privateer, until the formation of the Alliance's Paladins - its Force-sensitives. Ki showed interest, and their eldest sister gave them whatever information about them that she could, so they became a Paladin student when it sounded like the position for them. They were apprenticed under Grand Paladin, and eventual member of the Circle, Xandosc Tsil.
Ki becomes part of the Alliance's security division upon graduation from student to Paladin. And, when the Alliance goes to its new planet after being chased out of their part of the galaxy, Ki follows. They're one of the few who remain in contact with the galaxy outside of their new planet of Odessa, due to their youngest siblings - Riza and Jeva - remaining smugglers and being Odessa's main source of imports.

New Beginnings
Working in the creative industries means a job is rarely ever just a job. It’s rarely ever a clock in, do the work, and go home situation. Often, you’re putting a piece of yourself - if not all of yourself - into this idea. You watch it grow. You see it unveiled in quite a spectacular fashion, birthed into the public eye. So when something comes to an abrupt and unexpected end, I’m guessing it feels a lot like a breakup. Though I can’t say for sure. I’ve never been on date.
So in that tradition, on a hot summer night in June, I was sitting on the floor of my new half-unpacked apartment in front of the TV, watching the massacre of the Jedi Order in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, a ridiculously large bowl of ice cream in my hands. I’m not crying. I’m not even sure if I’m sad. Adrift, maybe. Unsure. A little scared. Stubbornly content. Primarily wondering…
What now?
If I were looking at my life like the plot of a movie, I’d find the timing of the upending of my life to be… sensibly timed? It seems to be happening to a lot of my friends on this cusp bridging age twenty-nine to age thirty. Two close friends of mine have been let go from jobs they’ve had since they graduated college. Another two friends are getting married. One is selling her house, quitting her job, and moving across the country with her boyfriend (while everyone else is wondering why they’re not tying the knot before they go). Even I just formally moved out of my parents’ house, narrowly avoiding the dreaded cultural scenario where I’m a thirty year old still living in my childhood bedroom with my Star Wars bedsheets. Not that I really minded. But I’ve been accumulating so much (Star Wars) stuff over the years and I’d hit this groove in my career where things felt steady so… why not?
Then I quit. Was talked into un-quitting. And was then fired over the course of three days. My main gig - the thing that was supposed to pay for this new apartment of mine - was gone.
I typically say I’m not a creative person. No one wants to see my drawings. No one wants to hear me play an instrument. No one wants to see me dance or hear me sing. A few people want to see what I’ve written, but not enough to call myself a writer. I’m a roadie. A tour manager, specifically. I’ve been all across North and South America, dragging dozens of people and millions of dollars worth of equipment with me. Clubs, theaters, arenas, stadiums, I’ve seen it all. I’ve seen most of it with a crew that felt a lot like family, with whom I could sit teetering on the edge of my sanity and bone tired in a Walmart parking lot at 3am dreaming about what’s next.
The reason for my quitting in the first place was typical in a lot of ways. A tale as old as time. A rookie mistake on my part. No paper trail for agreements made on a handshake with someone I trusted. A string of missed payments. Bold attempts at manipulation. A boss who seemed to be living in a different version of reality from everyone else. This crew I’d come together with all had similar complaints. They all said they wanted to quit. But it was just me who was angered enough to actually do it. And that’s just how it is sometimes. Everyone needs to live with their choices.
The good thing about all this is that I’ve been doing what I do for ten years now. I’m confident enough to say I’m good at what I do. But I’ve also seen enough to know that being good doesn’t cut it. So now I’m leveraging my connections for all they’re worth while also rapidly attempting to expand my network, get my hands involved in as many things as possible. There’s some really promising stuff just beyond my reach that would start a whole new adventure for me. That’s how I’m choosing to look at this.
Perhaps my twenties were just a trial run. A very informative chapter of my life, to be sure. But now where there was once a castle is now an empty field where the soil is rich, my hands no longer soft but calloused.
Give me a little sunshine and a little rain.
Get ready because here I come.

I start thinking about the whole Iokath arc, I remember why I swore off that whole segment of the game, that for me, even if I get subscriptions in order to have access for the later developments, to MAYBE try these things out myself.
I've complained before at length about how the Eternal Empire just comes out of nowhere and basically turns the whole game on its ear pretty much for the sake of exploring this side story and content that had no real bearing on the rest of the established lore and universe (particularly in the way that it glorified this new iteration of the already worn-out-his-welcome villain of the Sith Emperor).
But the whole traitor arc for Theron is just monumentally stupid. First of all, his entire motivation just seems to play as making him antagonistic for the sake of a betrayal, not because of plot, and the Commander and Lana both know that Theron's career has previously been as a spy, yet neither of them actually seriously entertain the idea that Theron is doing SOME kind of undercover work on his own initiative?
And then there's the fact that, in the end, it honestly kinda feels like there was... if not an active desire then a willingness to arrange things in this fashion, to have the Alliance leadership and core characters of the ongoing narrative reduced, presumably as a way to limit variables going forward, leading to Theron being potentially killed, which, unfortunately, continues a trend in TOR overall of letting M/M romance options be killed (Cytharat, Koth, Arcann).
And even beyond that, the kickoff drives me up the damn wall. The Republic and the Empire come to Iokath and decide they want to take control of a superweapon. Why the fuck doesn't the Commander just say "no one is taking it, we're dismantling the damn thing, and if you aren't going to help with that, you can go to your rooms without any supper, you squabbling brats!"
Also, while I struggle to accept the Sith Empire as good allies, it IS entirely reasonable to side with them when they actually HELPED fight Vaylin - the Republic just went "oopsie, our bad" with regards to Saresh attempting to assassinate the Commander and seize control of the Alliance, then sitting out the conflict with Vaylin in the hopes that the Alliance, the Sith, and the Eternal Empire would be too weakened by the fighting to make a push against the Republic. Like... yeah, the Sith aren't the best of allies, but they actually TRIED to help.
Frankly, I think the whole game lost the plot a very long time ago, and it's not going to get back there at this point. I can't say I don't enjoy aspects of the game, or want it to shut down, but... I also can't say I have a burning desire to play it at this point either, precisely because of the hash it's made of its own story.

Hey! For the hard mode meme, how about 10, 12, & 35? For Pravin in both SWTOR and DA verse :D
Finally getting down to this one, lol. Thanks for all the asks!
I'm actually going to do this for SWTOR and break out the DA stuff in a second post because, well, once I start getting sociological about shit I go off.
10. Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
Soo, let's start off by talking about Imperial fashion from a cultural standpoint.
I talked a bit in my forms of address post about how I see Imperial society as being extremely hierarchical and a culture with a strong public life/private life distinction. In public life, your position in the social hierarchy--as defined by your species, your job, and the circumstances of your upbringing--is something you consciously communicate to others; there are norms that you conform to in the way you dress and behave, and deviating from these norms tends to be met with confusion or outright derision. (This is true even among Sith; you may have more leeway to look like an edgelord, but being too much of a dramatic asshole as a freshly minted apprentice is going to toss a wrench into your advancement prospects.) You want to put your best foot forward within the bounds you've got to show that you're a respectable citizen, that you're worthy of what privileges you have now and those that you're eligible to earn in the future.
Fashions in the Empire thus tend to walk an interesting line between conservatism and theatricality: they tend to follow well-established patterns while also exaggerating features in ways that express admirable traits like physical fitness, strength and an appropriate degree of sensuality. Not a lot of skin is shown on the regular--there's a time and place for that, such as in women's evening wear or garments worn for exercise. Padded shoulders, big sleeves, lifted busts and cinched-in waists are common; clothes are heavily tailored to hide one's imperfections, and walking around in something ill-fitting is apt to make people wonder if you're impoverished or a slave. Everything is, of course, extremely polished, starched and clean.
This brings us back to Pravin.
Pravin's honestly not comfortable cavorting around in public in, say, shorts and a sleeveless shirt. This is not because he dislikes his body (quite the opposite; he knows he's fit and attractive) but because it makes him feel not put together. He's found a subversive little medium between full neck-to-boots Imperial garb and the sort of undress that strikes him as slovenly; he's got a thing for collared shirts worn partly open, slim-fit trousers and loafers worn without socks. While shipboard or wherever he happens to be calling home, he's often in sleep pants and a robe, because that's a private space. He'll look a little grungy to sell the whole 'ah yes I'm totally a shady mf and not a former Imp' thing, but not to the point of wearing clothes that aren't flattering (unless it's for very specific concealment purposes.)
So, in short: he's actually towards the 'more clothes' side, all things considered, because he grew up in a society where people dress very intentionally and that kind of socialization is hard to shake.
12. In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
This is kind of awful, but I think Pravin had some episodes of sheer dissociation during the mind control arc that he'd probably interpret as 'calm' but that were really more like 'feeling absolutely nothing.' Not the high-stakes moments, mind you, but he was running errands for the SIS team at points where he was totally checked out. He can recall those instances in kind of an analytical way, but they also have kind of an unsettling dreamlike quality since he was so numb.
(On a lighter note, I think he's touched something along the lines of 'totally contented/untroubled' post-sex before. He definitely did when he and Shara slept together after the whole Eradicators thing; it's part of why he wound up just passing the fuck out in her bed, lol.)
35. How does your character behave around people they like?
Probably the surest sign that Pravin genuinely really likes someone is that he'll get playful with them/give them a hard time: he tends to be personable and friendly by default, and doing that--actually ribbing them--is him being a tad vulnerable, revealing himself as a little less than polite (see, for instance, him flirtily teasing Lana in the Prana fic, lol.) It's a means of allowing himself to be known, and among people that he isn't totally warm on, he'd really rather they not view him as anything less than pleasant.
In general, I see him as leaning towards the quality time/acts of service end of the love languages spectrum; he's not super physically affectionate outside of sexy situations, and doesn't particularly enjoy naming feelings. Helping someone with tasks or just setting aside time to chill with them are how he's more inclined to express genuine care, and he can get a bit embarrassed about it if someone really gets to praising him for his altruism and sympathetic listening, haha.

I like the giant lapels and high collar on the “Humanoid B” design here. Very sophisticated! I suppose I just want to see all my faves wearing jackets, which are rarer than you’d think in Star Wars!
In my opinion Star Wars should reorient to more 70s-era fashion staples, besides just the ponchos, the big hair, and sideburns they have in recent stories like Rogue One and Fallen Order. Enormous lapels, bellbottoms, platforms, aviators, and a lot more scarves and pink? I'd also appreciate if they leaned more into 00s-era inspiration, too, but perhaps that’s asking for too much.
Sketches by Kilian Plunkett, titled “Darth Maul’s Replacement Leg Design Roughs: Animal B, Humanoid B, and Humanoid C.” Found in The Art of The Clone Wars booklet from the Seasons 1-5 DVD Collector’s Edition, released October 15, 2013.

Hello Tag, I was wondering if you can recommend me some of your favourite Obikin multi-chapter fics that may be not so well-known but are true gems? (I have read almost all of yours by now within a short span of time and I loved them all, btw. <3) Thank you in advance <3
Absolutely! I’m not sure what constitutes less well known so there may be some on here you consider pretty popular. I can’t tell you how many fics I put on my to read list when I went through the tags looking for stuff so please know I am in fact quite terrible at keeping up and finding stuff apparently.
Come Down From Your Holy Mountain by Jotunblood (Rated M 130k+) Post Mustafar redemption fic with lots of slow burn and sexual tension. This fic will tear your heart out a hundred times over and you will anguish for every character. Bonus points for absolutely gorgeous world building!
Lex Talionis by Intermundia (Rated E 180k+) Sith!au where Anakin and Obi-Wan both fall to the dark side except it’s far more complicated than that and there’s so much world building and politics and philosophy along the way. Heed the tags for darker themes but if you like rough gorgeously kinky sex and discussions of morality than this one’s for you.
My Anankē by Intermundia (Rated E 29k+ WIP) Teacher/student college au with classics and possessiveness and some desperate desperate pining and sex. I don’t normally like modern aus but this one is everything I love for this dynamic plus Molly’s love and knowledge of classics and that adds just such a delightful layer for me as a historian.
Untouchable by Blu3scorpion (Rated E 190k+) Absolutely read the tags for this fic and take them as they are. This story contains graphic rape and the psychological trauma from it. It’s dark,I had to read this in chunks because it fucked me up so bad,be mindful of this content and yourself. But blue does a gorgeous job of exploring this trauma with deftness and an incredible emotional complexity. I don’t think this fic will ever be updated or finished but it’s certainly worth a read.
CT-Skywalker by Selcier (Rated M 37k+ WIP) There is technically one unfinished chapter for this fic but it stands as complete as is and is one of my absolute favorites. Star Wars meets Mulan when Anakin isn’t raised as a Jedi and he steels a clone trooper’s armor and impersonates him while falling in love with his general. This tickles so many loves for me and one of them is the culture and world building for the clone troopers as well as the beautiful pining.
Like Real People Do by Glimmerglanger (Rated M 140k+) Clone Obi-Wan’s!!!! I adore Glimmer’s worldbuilding in all their fics and this is my all time favorite of theirs. I love the options for so many ships and the many versions of Obi-Wan,and the hurt pining in addition to the plot? Just wonderful stuff.
Put Down the Knife (the night is here) by Astalitha and Kaiserine (Rated M 35k+ WIP) Here’s another one that will probably never be finished but it’s worth the read anyway! Obi-Wan is a Sith dragon and Anakin battles him and falls for him despite himself. The tension is wonderful and the world building and DRAGONS.
Parks and Recreation by Luckee and Septemberist (Rated E 31k+) Park Ranger Anakin And English Professor Obi-Wan with a busted foot and some lovely sex. This fic is written with such love and deftness and the sweetness of it is just as good as the steaminess.
Flashing Lights by des_nuages_de_paris (Rated E 26k+ WIP) Oh look another modern au that’s an exception. Photographer Obi-Wan and model Anakin in the fashion world with so much ust it’s ridiculous? I just love the writing style so much in particular for this one that I find difficult to articulate as to why I enjoy the fic so much. It’s a lot of tropes I love just written very beautifully with an electric dynamic between these two.
Needing/Getting by chapstickaddict (Rated E 150k+ WIP) Sith Anakin with Jedi Obi-Wan and the twins. This fic is just so absolutely gorgeous and wonderfully written and it combines so really cool force world building with beautiful tension. The character building is top notch and I have adored every bit of this fic.
Through a Glass,Darkly by Glimmerglanger (Rated M 49k+) Obi-Wan and Anakin meet their sith mirror selves and have to return to one another. This fic combines wonderful world building with some really fun tropes with Sith shenanigans. The pining is immaculate and so fun to watch unfold.
Mud by Alcalina (Rated E 49k+) Pining during military campaigns is probably my absolute favorite setting of all time for this ship and I wish there was more of it,but this is one of my favorite and glorious examples for it. This fic combines the juicy background of military campaign with Anakin’s ridiculous wanting which will always be wonderful.
