Family Trees of the Multiverse: Arrow Family

This was honestly such a headache. Oliver’s sired way too many kids with too many different women. As usual, color-coded to make it easier to see who exists within the same continuity; if it’s just black that means their existence is consistent, but if it specifies [Prime Earth] then that means the character was only introduce into the comics during the Prime Earth era (same goes for New Earth).

Colors, as following (though you’ll also see on the tree since I specify each continuity/Earth):

Prime Earth: black

New Earth: red

Arrowverse: green

Earth-11: light blue

Earth-16 [not the YJ cartoon; The Just comics]: pink

Earth 16 [the Young Justice cartoon]: brown

Earth-22: dark pink

Earth-49 [Injustice]: yellow

Earth-167 [Smallville TV show]: dark blue

Earth-203 [Birds of Prey TV show]: lavender

While I try not to double-portray - since most different versions of a character still align - the fact that Arrow already used Shado in another capacity and thus made Kazumi Adachi Emiko’s mother made me double on that, though I still think that she can be considered a version of comic!Shado.

Also, because this part looks messy even to me, regarding the Black Canaries. Dinah Laurel’s last name is usually Lance, these days Drake Lance (with the Lance being married-into for some reason), but in the BoP TV show, her last name was Redmond. Likewise, her mother’s name in the BoP TV show was Carolyn Lance, while New Earth’s continuity named her Dinah Drake and Prime Earth has, far as I could find out, not given her any name at all yet.

And though the YJ cartoon doesn’t come up otherwise, I did find it noteworthy that Bernell was confirmed to be Cissie’s father in the show, since her parentage appears to not have been brought up or confirmed either way in the Prime Earth era so far.

Must Watch if you are curious about Stephen Hawking. It’s a good, emotional story. I am super curious about the polyamorous relationship but I think it is in service to the story not to make it play a bigger part.

The Theory of Everything is a 2014 biographical romantic drama film directed by James Marsh. It was adapted by Anthony McCarten from the 2007 memoir Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen by Jane Hawking. It stars Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, with Charlie Cox, Emily Watson, Simon McBurney, Christian McKay, Harry Lloyd, and David Thewlis.

Normally goes by either her surname or Felix. Anders calls her Fliss, or Flissy if he's feeling in a teasing mood. Strictly in private, he calls her Kitten.

Born 4th Wintermarch 9:05 Dragon, near Amaranthine in Ferelden. Moved very shortly after to Lothering in South Reach to escape Chantry scrutiny. This makes Felicity 25-26 during the Fifth Blight, 26-32 during the events in Kirkwall and 35-38 during the Breach.

height: 5’3”

hair: brown with a hint of red, reaches to her back, wild and untameable but usually left down. During the period between the Deep Roads expedition and the battle with the Arishok, she briefly turns her hair blonde with magic. When she turns it back, a wide streak on the front left remains blonde no matter what she does.

Sassy, quirky and quick-witted. Confident almost to the point of arrogance. Mostly, she tells jokes to cover for actually having to face emotions or let people know she feels things. Soft-hearted beneath her jovial exterior and strangely naïve for someone who tells smutty jokes with alarming frequency. Technically her cousin Rebecca is the Champion of Kirkwall - but it is Felicity that does all the work.

I have my problems when it comes to Arrow's faithfulness to the comics, but I will say that I will always love season 7 for giving me:

1) a very well written Black Canary origin story that finally established a metahuman Dinah Lance as a Black Canary (not to mention the first Black Canary of E2)

2) Oliver Queen's son struggling with his sexuality in a way that doesn't seem outright on the surface level, but hits very differently when you've gone through it.

3) Showing that Dinah Drake is just as much of a capable Black Canary without a Canary Cry as she was with a Cry.

4) Olicity being a good couple.

5) An episode centered around the strong women on the show and their relationships with each other outside of their relationships with men, while also establishing the ethos of the Black Canary legacy from the comics.

6) A clever and unique way of showing the legacy of the main characters without spoiling major moments.

7) A Green Arrow documentary episode showcasing the legacy of both the character and the show as well as guest starring the other Arrowverse characters (Barry and Sara) who originated on Arrow.

8) A fantastic send off to a character who was not always treated the best by the show or fandom.

9) Compelling and well written storylines for every major character in both the present and flashforwards.

10) A fantastic crossover and introduction to a new Arrowverse character (Batwoman).

Bonus: Oliver fighting baddies while in the nude.

Like, did it have its flaws? Hell yeah. Anyone who's read a Green Arrow comic knows exactly what these flaws are.

But still, looking back on this season, I adore it for so many goddamn reasons.

Don't Get Dead [Dragon Age: Origins; T]

Summary: Somewhat experienced Ansley Hawke offers a little advice and food to Lorelei Cousland during a brief encounter before the battle of Ostagar. Comments: This is just a little character-driven one-shot between my canon-compliant Hawke and Cousland--I know OC & OC stuff usually slides under folks' radars for obvious reasons, but I loved writing this, and I always kind of pleasantly surprise myself when I re-read it.

Under Stars [Mass Effect: Andromeda; T]

Summary: Sara Ryder and Harry Carlyle navigate a tipsy encounter before leaving the Milky Way. Comments: Even though I have not updated this in... What? 4, 5 years? I actually do have a lot of subsequent chapters drafted. Before Cyberpunk took over my brain last summer, I actually thought this was gonna be my next big fic project. I love kind and patient Harry contrasted against bitter and impulsive Sara.

Heartlines [The Outer Worlds; T]

Summary: The Captain gives Vicar Max a (bad) palm reading. Comments: I also drafted a lot of Outer Worlds fic, but it was at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020, and well... We all know how 2020 went. But Max has got to be one of my favorite characters to write, especially if I can make him squirm a little.

Revelations [Cyberpunk 2077; T]

Summary: Takemura and V share a casual dinner, talk about the past, and plan for the future. Comments: This was my first Cyberpunk fic, and the first thing I'd written in about a year and a half, so it's a little rough. But it was driven purely by a passion I hadn't felt in a long time, and I think it will always be special to me because of that. Plus it's fun going back to the first fic with Goro and Valerie and seeing how ideas that had just started to sprout have developed over several months.

Homecoming [Cyberpunk 2077; E]

Summary: Takemura and V are physically reunited after her time in Mikoshi. Comments: This was just purely indulgent fluffy smut. I was never really able to write smut before Goro and Valerie--I tried a few times, but I'd usually fizzle out before the, uh, main course would be served. I see them both as being very sensual, enthusiastic partners, and I just can't get enough of how they love each other.
