Fiat 131 Abarth Rally, 1976. A series of 400 road cars built by Bertone, based on the 2-door version of the 131 (also pictured), to homologate the 131 for WRC Group 4 competition. The part completed 131 Mirafiori Special 2-door bodies were sent to Bertone where they were fitted with fibreglass mudguards front and rear, a fibreglass bonnet and bootlid and modified platform to accept independent rear suspension. Bertone also painted and trimmed the cars before they were sent to the special Fiat plant at Rivalta where they were fitted with the Abarth mechanicals.
