Can we talk about Francesca Findabair for a second?

Cause I actually love S3 but what they have inflicted upon this character is a huge problem. Francesca, the woman who was the most gorgeous woman at the Thanedd ball, so much so that even Geralt stared at her, has now instead been thrown into the forests where she’s running around hysterically looking for Ciri and waiting to be executed should Emhyr so decide??? A woman who didn’t care for anything and anyone in S2 and did as she pleased is now beaten down and waiting to see if the emperor supports Gallatin and orders her death? What. The. Fucking. Fuck.

You can’t introduce her as a mega-powerful sorceress in S2 who can kill hundreds with a wave of her hand but then have her screaming in horror as Geralt kills her brother in front of her (don’t even get me started on that - though I did love the scene with all the dead elves and her singing that sad song). And then, adding salt to injury, she waits for Emhyr’s mercy... Emhyr - the man who had her child killed. And now she’s working for the bastard while not even knowing about that particular info.

Literally everyone else is at the Thanedd Ball. They even included bloody Marti Sodergren but Francesca, one of the two major powers in the Nilfgaardian faction, along with Vilgefortz, is absolutely nowhere to be seen!!! Why did they do this? Why not have Tissaia reach out for a truce and invite her to Thanedd to represent the elves - it would’ve been a far better way to have her involved and turning on the Brotherhood... But no, instead they dress her in rags and toss her into the forests living like a peasant leader of some pathetic elven rebellion. They keep calling her a queen but treat her like everything BUT A BLOODY QUEEN.

Out of all the lodge sorceresses (some of them actually improved this season - Philippa was almost literally from the books, Yennefer is finally in character again, Sabrina is a proper bitch, etc.), Francesca’s character has suffered the most by far. And it’s infuriating as hell. Done ranting, sorry lol.

Y/n was sitting in bed, her black tears running down her face - (it's because she's a version of an elf I made up for The Witcher ;) ) - Geralt hadn't come home I four days and no one had seen him. Suddenly the bedroom door swung open and in stepped the Witcher. He was taken aback by the sight before him. His woman the one that never cried, here she was eyes glossed over and looking at him as if he was a ghost.

"Y/n, why are you crying?" He asked.

Her voice came out as a whisper...

"I thought you were dead or hurt or just-"

The tears came again and he rushed to her side, he wrapped her in a hug and held her close to him.

"I'm right here, Y/n. I will never leave your side again."

Y/n and Eskel pass each other in the hallway, he looks over and sees tears in her eyes. Eskel stops and turns to her but she keeps walking.

"Y/n, are you alright?" He asked.

"Quite." She answered back.

He fast walked after her up the hall, grabbing her arm he pulled her to him so he could get a better look.

"You're crying. Why?"

She wiped the tears and took a deep breath, attempting to push his hand away but his grip tightened.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Eskel. Please let go of me."

He wrapped his arms around her and held her to his chest, he kissed her head and gently rubbed her back.

"What is the matter, little one?"

She started to quietly sob into him.

"I-I accidentally showed my powers in front of the other witchers...they called me a freak."

Eskel leaned down and gave her neck a gentle kiss...

"Go to your room, I'll be there in a moment."

Y/n watched as he made his way to the great hall, no doubt gonna go kick some Witcher ass.

Filavandrel

Filavandrel looks over and notices a few of his people making fun of Y/n, he stood when he saw the black tears. Beautiful but sad, walked over and gently tucked her hair behind her ear. Wiping the tears, he kissed her head and lead her away from them. They walked deep into the forest away from the others when she stopped in her tracks.

"Why did you do that?" She asked.

"Do what?"

"I don't want to call it saving but...I don't know what else to call it in this moment."

Filavandrel stood close to her and whispered in a sweet tone...

"You are not what they say you are, you are not a monster they are for being that way towards you."

She smiled and wrapped her arms around him, he pulled her close and gently kissed her.

Jaskier

Finally after years of not seeing each other, there she was Y/n...but she was crying. He had hoped when he saw her again she would be happy, smiling running to him and throwing herself into his arms.

But that wasn't the case...

"Y/n?"

She turned...

"Jaskier!"

"Why are you crying, my sweet?" He asks as he gently kisses her neck, he could feel her shiver at the small contact.

"I was missing you."

"Well I'm here with you now...in this pub...with a room upstairs...and the key to said room in my pocket...and in that room his a warm bed you look like you desperately need. I mean how long has it been since you slept?"

"If we go upstairs to your room, I doubt we'll be sleeping." She whispered.

"Quite right, darling. Shall we?" He asked as he took her hand and led her to the stairs.
