letting celebrities think they can and should "use their platform" to speak on all current events and political issues regardless of how educated they are on them was a grave mistake
(my insta is @trisideseye and that's where I mostly post art. I'm purely posting here bc @quiddie is active on here and I need aabria to know, personally ,how fucked up I am about these stoats)
I… do not understand tumblr live. Like, are there actually only about 50 people streaming across the whole platform at any one time? And why are so many of them just… people smoking? Or unoccupied desks? And why is nobody talking about frogs?
my once in a blue moon process video i actually like (for this). also a steps breakdown so i can try to mitigate the death of actual useful information that i think the short form video format has been ushering in
rlly struggling lately to make art, almost feeling a fear surrounding it that of course is directly connected to “internet success” like deep down that kind of thing does not matter does not fulfill my soul etc but of course feels so important for my career.. but how important can it be if it prevents me from doing any real creating or searching exploring experimenting etc… almost like the fear of disappointing others only leads to me disappointing myself. Or whatever. and obviously the answer is to stop looking at instagram lol
i hate suggested/for you pages so much.... i feel like the act of following a person/account went from meaning you want to see more of that person's specific stuff (active, direct) to meaning you want to get shown more stuff that is potentially similar to them (passive, random?), as determined by the ever changing black box algorithm. when it is all just "content", the artist/individual is rendered disposable and forgettable as they are only a means to an end for things like viewcounts and targeted advertising and never ending scrolling to make sure you (the piggy bank) keep that app open.
