Soon, Osborn and I both came to the roller coaster wearing a matching pair of headbands.

Screams resounded from the roller coaster as it zipped past. People who were queuing down below all wore a mixed expressions of excitement and fear.

MC: Look, a roller coaster!

Osborn: Want to ride it?

MC: Of course! I heard that this was one of the attractions that we must absolutely try out when coming to an amusement park.

MC: But this should be nothing to the great Osborn, right?

Osborn: Why?

MC: Is a race car faster than a roller coaster?

Osborn: Of course it is! But you definitely can’t be in the passenger seat when I’m riding to race.

MC: It’s unfortunate that I can’t see you driving the race car with my own two eyes…

MC: But I think being able to see you scream while riding a roller coaster’s a fair trade-off!

Osborn: How proud of you. You don’t even know who’s going to be the one screaming when the time comes.

MC: Hehe, let’s wait and see!

Whilst talking, we finally came to the front of the ongoing queue.

Osborn: Dare to sit in the front row?

MC: Of course!

I nodded in determination despite still feeling a little anxious about it all. I did just say that, after all.

At the staff’s prompt, we took off our headbands and stashed our belongings. Osborn took my hand and confidently walked right up to the front row.

Osborn: Here we are. No regrets now.

I didn’t respond to his jibe, but I did settle into my seat one step ahead of him, giving him a smug smile.

Osborn couldn’t help but laugh despite himself as he stepped into the roller coaster and sat beside me.

Soon, the roller coaster started up, charging forth into the air.

It wasn’t long before instinctual fear took over. I clung tightly to the safety bar with both hands, only to hear a chuckling sound beside me.

Turning around, I saw Osborn looking at me in an unfazed manner.

MC: No laughing at me! I’m not scared!

Osborn: Just a little nervous? Naturally. Alright, I’ll take your word for it.

Osborn: But you can hold onto this if you’re really afraid.

Osborn pointed at his arm. Noticing how the roller coaster was gradually climbing higher and higher, I decided to take him up on the offer and grabbed onto his arm instead.

MC: It's not my fault if I hurt you by squeezing too hard.

Osborn: I know, but please treat me kindly.

I was just about to say something, but we’d reached the peak.

And considering how we were seated on the front row, I could see the ground, which was far beneath us now. I unwittingly clutched tighter to his arm.

However, the roller coaster stopped right at the top, which made my heart, already tense with nervousness, speed all the way up.

MC: Why did it stop? Don't tell me-- AHHH!!

Just as I was wondering why it’d stopped, the roller coaster zipped downward and all I could feel was the strong rush of wind against my face as everything around me blurred.

Now, I couldn’t care about what I’d just said earlier, for all I could do was scream as the roller coaster rose and fell.

I finally experienced the joy of a roller coaster ride, perhaps because Osborn was with me.

It is only till the roller coaster comes to a halt that I remembered with startling clarity - I’d originally wanted to see Osborn screaming.

But, when I turned my head around, I was greeted by him staring at me with a calm and unfazed look on his face.

Osborn: Back to your senses yet?

MC: Yikes, was I screaming my head off?

Osborn: Nope. I wanted to see a certain dummy terrified.

Osborn: But it was fun seeing you enjoy yourself.

MC: Maybe it was because I imagined the roller coaster to be your race car and it felt like I was out on the tracks with you.

Osborn: Sounds like we can go for a couple more rides on this thing in the future.

MC: Sure! I’m not scared at all with you by my side.

A staff member was handing something out to all exiting visitors at the roller coaster attraction’s exit. Osborn and I each took one.

MC: Kuromi stickers!

Looking at the Kuromi stickers, all with different varying expressions, a sudden idea pops into mind.

MC: Osborn, look! There’s a huge Kuromi over there!

Osborn: Huh? What?

I pointed behind him, making him turn his head. Then, I took the chance to tear off a sticker and stick it on his face.

MC: Hehe, you fell for it!

Osborn: Why you little devil.

Osborn touched his face and looked at me with an indescribable look. He didn’t know whether to cry or to laugh at having fallen for such a trick.

MC: You were the one who made me wear the headband while I wasn’t looking, so this time, it’s my turn!

Osborn: You seem to forget that I, too, have a card up my sleeve?

Osborn tore off a sticker from his sticker sheet and was just about to stick it onto my face when I booked it. He then pulled me right back into his arms.

The screams of the roller coaster’s passengers resonated through the air, intertwining with our yelps and laughter, joyful and lively.

The next day, Osborn and I arrived early at Kuromi Land.

Upon entering the amusement park, we hadn't gotten far before stopping at a crowded square.

It seems like there was a performance on stage.

MC: It's so lively up ahead. Let's go check it out too!

Osborn: Sure.

Osborn takes my hand and heads closer to the stage.

The performance was absolutely amazing, and before I was completely immersed in Kuromi’s story.

It wasn’t till the performance ended that I realized Osborn was gone.

MC: Huh, strange. Where did he go?

Just as I looked around frantically in search of him, I felt something tighten on my head, as if someone had just made me wear something.

MC: Ah!

I whipped around, unexpectedly coming face-to-face with a familiar face.

MC: I was just looking for you!

MC: Why did you walk away without saying anything?

Osborn: Because some dummy was too immersed in it, duh.

Osborn: I called out to you a couple of times, but you didn’t reply to me.

I felt a little guilty when I saw the kicked puppy look on his face.

MC: I was just… too entranced by the performance earlier.

Osborn: Tsk, tsk, tsk. I’ve never seen you get that entranced by me before, ever.

MC: Oh? And who said I never was?

Osborn: And when was that? C’mon, tell me.

Osborn narrowed his eyes into a smile and edged closer with a mischievous smile.

MC: Hmph. Anyway, what did you just make me wear?

I deliberately spoke louder and changed the subject, taking out my phone and turning selfie mode on.

The person displayed on the phone’s screen had blushing cheeks and a cute Kuromi headband atop her head.

MC: Wow, how cute!

Osborn: Think I’ll let you off so easily?

MC: Save the rest for when we get home.

I pulled on his arm and gave him a flattering smile.

Osborn: And if I say no?

I quickly took the headband off and placed it on his head, catching him off guard.

MC: In the name of Kuromi, I order you to forget everything that happened earlier!

Osborn reached up to touch the top of his head with a funny look on his face. The Kuromi headband seemed to suit him well.

Osborn: You’re the boss while we’re here.

MC: Let’s go then! There are lots of places we still have to visit!

Osborn: Okay. Where do you wanna go first?

MC: Let's go buy another headband!

I blurted out without a thought.

Osborn: The one on my head will do just fine. I bought it for you.

MC: No, no! This headband looks like it suits you better!

MC: And me? Well, I’ll just get another of the same!
