Here's the deal:
FROM MOST POWERFUL TO LEAST POWERFUL
The Great Will
Nyx (love me some foreign eldritch beings)
Philemon & Nyarlathotep
Major Gods and Concept Personifications (insert mini-power scale here)
Velvet Attendants & Affiliates
Other deities and figures of high power also created by humans and living in the Collective Unconscious (insert second mini-power scale here)
Arcana Shadows (P3)
Palace Rulers (P5)
Parasitic "Persona" Users (for lack of a better term)
Dungeon Shadows (P4)
Wild Card Persona Users
Persona Users
Artificial Persona Users
Regular Shadows (the Mementos type, or Shadows Yosuke and Chie)
Demons / shadows
Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapons can be found in the same or above level than Users, depending on the skill and raw power of everyone involved. Honestly, idk about the Reaper. We only know he can wipe the floor with Persona Users but that's it.

ive been thinking about this for a while, i sent an ask about it a while ago but i was in a spot with bad service so im not sure if it sent or not, so sorry if something like this already went through to your ask box. But, how does vilmer and maja speak and know swedish if cq doesnt take place on earth? is there a different place that’s native language is swedish, and also is it called something different? or is sweden just laying around somewhere on theia
It's a mix of a few things, and it applies to all real languages used in the CQ universe:
1) There are no Earth-aligned countries on Theia, but there are definitely parts & communities of the world that have different languages, accents, and dialects. This is also why there are other languages spoken such as Spanish or French, why Bonnie knows languages such as Hungarian, and so on.
2) Even though I chose to express the world's writing primarily in English, it's still a language just like any other and should not be assumed the default for the entire world of Theia. Many places they travel to, were there to be any survivors, do not speak English at all.
3) My ass is not about to conjure 100 different fake languages for the world when there are plenty of interesting and very real languages to explore & implement into the world. The swedes spawned in this world and they are here to stay, and no they won't elaborate how or why.
Also yes it is still called swedish, same for any other real language used in my writing ^_^!

I think a lot about that post that was ranting how canonically Dean should be fat and art not depicting him that way is unrealistic like come one be for real here that man grew up with food deprivation and ran for his life for his job

I know the Atomic Shop isn't canon and microtransactions suck, but man what I would give for Fallout 4 to have some of the weapons/armour/clothes/C.A.M.P items that Fallout 76 has.

All the "Rick became worse than Shane" this and "Negan was actually the good guy" that-
Y'all forget that Shane SA'd Lori and was willing to kill his best friend to keep her, not even giving a shit how she feels. Rick would never. And he would never burn his own people's faces off for being 'disobedient'. He was a total dictator at times but to a group who actually love and care about eachother. A family who aren't glorified bandits thinking they're entitled to everybody's stuff and would kill you if you didn't give it. Dude was very trigger-happy for a while there, but he brought it back. There's a lot of similarites between Rick, Negan and Shane but the differences are key. Can y'all stop tryna be so transcendent?

Coming in hot with another maybe unpopular opinion
Listen. It MAKES SENSE that Kimberly can pull hot guys like no other. HEAR ME OUT.
Guys like Jackson and Nico know they're hot. They have girls giggling at them everywhere they go. But those guys also exist in real life, and you'd be shocked how rare it is for a girl to confidently approach them the way Kimberly does. Girls (especially straight girls) are socialized overall to take sexual rejection as a personal failing, but Kimberly doesn't seem to take that into account before she opens her mouth. She's so unapologetically herself all the time, even to her detriment. Like. That "big boy runs fast" scene was so cringeworthy because no one watching it would ever so proudly say something so deeply uncool to their crush. But Kimberly has this bravery when it comes to approaching men that I'm sure feels refreshing to someone who's used to being able to pull anyone they want, but not necessarily used to being approached. Kimberly's frankly insane confidence paired with her unwavering kindness and down-to-earth personality make her irresistible to insanely hot men, especially those like Jackson and Nico who are so bored and burnt out with other "hot" people.
Also, her body is insane. You cannot deny that. It's just typically covered up with a polo or knit sweater.

Just adding on here, I haven't seen you talk about it at all so I don't know your stance- but please don't donate to Autism Speaks or any charity that associates with it. I'm saying this as an autistic person. They are a plague on our community and they publicly vouch for atrocities.
oh yeah, Autism Speaks absolutely sucks and is awful. they are a hate group, not a charity at all. 😔 other 'charities' I'm also avoiding are PETA and the Salvation Army

you’re weird af for that all quiet on the western front art. did you even watch the movie? you realize real soldiers just like paul and kat died horrifically right. it’s totally insensitive and weird
you’re weird af for coming into my inbox and talking to me like that. it’s totally insensitive and weird to assume that love has never existed on the battlefield or that queer relationships have never been a part of any war. But especially the World Wars.
Why do you think gay men were blamed for the loss of the first World War in Germany by the political right? This entire essay by the International Encyclopedia of the First World War is worth reading, but I’m directly referencing this passage;
“In the eyes of many homosexual men the war also proved that homosexual love was entirely natural. Activists argued that the war not only entitled homosexual men to legal emancipation, but also demanded that their emotional and sexual lives be recognized as normal, even ideal in the context of war, by mainstream society. However, in the wake of defeat in 1918 there were widespread accusations, especially from the political right, that “enemies” at home had betrayed the army. Homosexuals were one of the groups targeted as culprits in the “stab-in-the-back” legend. In his pamphlet The Sexual Cruelties of Love-Crazy Men, conservative German journalist H. A. Preiss claimed that veterans had become so selfishly focused on their “abnormal sexual practices” that they were no longer willing to sacrifice for the fatherland.[70] Writers for Die Freundschaft (The Friendship), a newspaper that catered to WhK contributors, sought to combat accusations of a “stab in the back.” One writer, B. Eden, stressed that homosexuals were only exceptional in their goal to emancipate themselves from legal discrimination. Otherwise, they were committed to protecting the nation, as evidenced by their war experience.[71] ”
And why do you think San Francisco had one of the first established queer communities created during and after World War II? Why do you think there were enough gay men discharged from the military during the Second World War to establish what is considered the queer capital of the world?
Homosexuality is not an anomaly in war.
At first I wasn’t even going to reply to this ask, because I do understand the concern with bastardizing war stories for the purpose of fandom shipping, especially since so many war stories are based on real people, but these aren’t real people. The very real lived experience of veterans is not something to speculate about, but this is a fictional story that happens to take place in a real war.
And I felt like this ask was implying that no love has ever formed on any front lines, which is so untrue.
The part that queer people have played in wars is not only integral to military history, but also queer history. The increased visibility of homosexuality and the subsequent activism after the first world war is a direct result of the queer relationships that were able to form during the war, and to erase or minimize the existence of those relationships is a huge disservice to all queer veterans. What’s more, that increased visibility is part of the reason that homosexuals and transgender people were ever targeted by the nazi party in the first place. Queer activism was only starting to gain real traction when the Second World War was brewing, and that’s part of the reason why the backlash was so severe.
No harm no foul if you see Kat and Paul has having a platonic relationship, most people do and it certainly doesn’t make their friendship any less important or integral to the story of All Quiet on the Western Front, but my frustration with this ask doesn’t really have anything to do with them. I don’t even want to defend myself or anything, but the human relationships formed during war has been one of my special interests since I was a teenager. I’ve read countless books written by veterans, seen the shows, seen the movies, I’m not new to war stories. I know very well how horrific war is. That is part of what made the relationships formed during them so significant and so unique. There’s a desperate sort of tenderness to them that always blurs the line between something romantic and platonic and familial (in a found-family kind of way), and for this fictional story, I figure there’s no harm in exploring the different nuances to a relationship like that. I don’t think that’s insensitive of me. I’m not trying to sterilize life in the trenches, or the inherent trauma of war. I’m not trying to make light of it. But romantic relationships are formed in war. It’s so weird of you to tell me what I can and can’t draw fanart of.
Again, I didn’t want to answer this ask because it’s not going to change my stance either way, but I really felt like the insistence that real soldiers couldn’t have formed meaningful and possibly romantic relationships needed to be addressed.
Also. This is the gay blog where I draw gay art. Don’t tell me the gay art I’ve drawn is weird af. Good god.

Do you think they will turn Aegon into a depraved clone of Joffery? Let's be real they give him the most cartoonish scenes for a reason . But really i find it weird how anyone would read the book then be thinking yeah Aegon ii was the original joffery. I mean if I'm going to compare Aegon to any character of the main series, i will say it's theon greyjoy and Tyrion who are the most similar characters to him , maybe Robert too? Since Robert has revolted against Aerys because Aerys wanted his head and ned's as well also Robert never wanted to be a king? That similar to Aegon kinda
Also if they turned him into joffery2 this will be the most boring, predictable route for his character. But i guess Showrunners these days are not that creative to create a nuance and grey story , so the easiest way is turn it into Joffery0.2 vs Daenerys0.2
I don't have the most faith that they'll give Aegon his due, but unlike most I do actually avoid a lot of the doomcasting I tend to see about season 2 because a) we know absolutely nothing about season 2 given that I think at most it's still in early pre-production b) they're going to have more space next season. The consequence of the show having done so many time jumps is that we got a very limited amount of time with Aegon (he's got like one focal scene in episode 6 and he's very much a background character in episode 7 except when he goes along with Aemond's lie, and then two episodes, both of which he's more of a side character in until his coronation), so they really couldn't give us a lot with him beyond some incredibly bare bones characterization. That means we need to know that he's got substance abuse problems, he's a mess of a person, and he gets all wet and pathetic the second someone shows him a scrap of love. Do I think that was a good decision? No, I think it was dumb, but that's the corner they drew themselves into. But that's not gonna be the case for season 2.
We're pretty much gonna be dumb with big time jumps I think, so that means we're going to have a full ten episodes to get to know Aegon, and given that the writers have shown an openness to listen to TGC and follow his insights on the character, as well as keep in things that he's improvised to improve on him, they're probably going to have more leniency towards showing different facets of his character. And unless everyone comes down with a big case of stupid-itis (and while I have issues with these writers, they're not dumb), Blood and Cheese and its aftermath is likely going to get a whole episode to itself, which alone is going to give us a lot of pretty layered Aegon content. And I don't think they'll lean too heavily on the Joffrey stuff either, because while there's been jokes about it, when you look at the writing that doesn't seem to be where it's going.
The Joffrey comparisons are trite and annoying form a fandom perspective, but I think that the writers are likely going to avoid it just from sheer luck based on the fact that Joffrey and Aegon, even show Aegon, are very different people. Aegon, as portrayed to us, is a drunken lech who avoids responsibilities and also has so many issues surrounding love and self worth. Meanwhile, Joffrey doesn't have any of those. Joffrey doesn't avoid responsibility unless he gets bored, he doesn't have nearly any of the self worth issues that Aegon does (Aegon doesn't think anybody loves or cares for him and appears to have a deep rooted self hatred, which isn't conjecture that's basically me quoting TGC, Joffrey thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread), and most importantly, Joffrey is heavily coded as being genuinely psychologically disturbed. And I'm not talking in a "lol Aegon's got some issues in his head guys" kind of a way, Joffrey is clearly written to have some sort of personality disorder. It's more explicit in the book where he does shit like torture animals and is more sexual in his brutalization of Sansa, which in our modern world are clear red flags for kids who've got some kind of antisocial personality disorder (idk how valid people consider the homicidal triad in today's psychiatry but torturing/killing animals is one third of it), but even in the show universe Joffrey's clearly meant to be fucked in the head. Aegon doesn't have that, so anything beyond a cursory "eh I mean they're both kings that some people don't like" literally cannot be done without making the entire show whack. Joffrey has genuine severe mental problems (likely meant to be a result of incest) that would get him under psychiatric observation if he lived in our world, Aegon needs a stint in rehab and a therapist and also isn't being written to exhibit any sociopathic tendencies. Sorry to Burlington Bar.
(And also Alicent and Cersei raised their children very differently, especially book Cersei who is completely blind to the kind of person Joffrey was, but let's be real we're not expecting anybody who's pro-Blacks to understand nuance when it comes to Alicent, and also the Alicent/Cersei parallels are so surface level it's bordering on annoying)
The issue with Aegon I'm anticipating the most isn't necessarily bad development, it's under development. My most pessimistic view is that they're going to keep treating Aegon as more of a side character than he should be, while keeping main focus on Rhaenyra and Alicent and Daemon and Aemond, while characters who should be mains, like Corlys and Rhaenys and Aegon, are going to be getting less screentime and development than they need, especially for such major players. Do I think that's what's going to happen 100%? No, I don't know what's going to happen 100%, and I'm choosing to give the writers the benefit of the doubt due to what I've seen so far and the fact that there's a lot more I like about season 1 than I dislike. So they might go more along the route of someone like Tyrion or Theon or Robert (even tho Theon definitely wasn't a good guy in season 2 and also Robert was an ass who deserved to get gored by that boar), especially given that Ryan(?) said he was anticipating people switching sides and viewing things differently in season 2 and also the writers' clear vendetta against Daemon and poor Matt Smith.
Also they can't really do Rhaenyra as Daenerys because Rhaenyra and Daenerys are two verrrrrrrry different characters in many different ways, and I do say that as a positive towards Dany and a slight on Rhaenyra (I'd go into that more but this ain't about them this is about my sweet Eggo)

So, if Kairi has to have short hair again in Kingdom Hearts IV--which I imagine there's a good chance that she will. I feel like Kairi herself prefers short hair. And it makes sense for her to keep short hair now that she's a warrior, so that her hair can't be used against her in battle--one hairstyle I would personally love for her to have would be this one:
Tumblr media
Something akin to Maria Deluca's from Roswell season 1.
It does that flippy thing, like Yuna or Selphie's, but it's also different from theirs, because instead of doing that on either side of the head, the hair is flipping out behind the head, if that makes sense.
I just think it's pretty. And it bonus points in that it could seem like Kairi was inspired by her friend Selphie, or something like that, while also still being original.

i've seen some people saying they latched onto izzy because they didn't want to accidentally be racist, so they felt more comfortable making art/fic about the white characters?? which is unfortunate because that seems more racist to me. hopefully now that we've had time to do some research they'll do better.
Girl that's the laziest fuckin excuse I've ever heard. Also not stanning characters of color on the basis of the color of their skin sounds pretty fuckin racist to me.

I gotta say, you being the youngest sounds fake lmao. You have distinct eldest sibling vibes and I mean that in the most neutral terms possible 🤣
Haha. Honestly, you're not far off the mark. I am, for all intents and purposes, the oldest even if not chronologically.

children's books that went downhill to the extent that they started to read like fanfiction for themselves
guardians of ga'hoole after book 6 (returned after a natural ending point)
maximum ride after book 3 (returned after a natural ending point)
percy jackson after the second series, and arguably the first (returned after a - well do I even have to say it)
#feel free to reblog/reply and add your own#see redwall never went downhill because all its stories were discrete yet connected to the greater lore#he had weaker books and stronger books but he never destroyed his beloved characters or his overarching worldbuilding#and his commitment to the lore and storytelling was reliable. no weird magical bs. no cash grabs#in the GOGH books there are owls that are straight-up blue. the protag gets married offscreen to some lady#there's so much nonsense that tries desperately to mimic and call back to earlier beloved characters and books#literally reads like bad fanfic. also it's really sad for no reason at all#max ride was never good. I'd like to say I'm giving it credit for attempting to tackle climate change but the books were just SO bloated#with prophecy and nonsense and mystery that never paid off. and the later books were somehow worse#like they were trying to save the world but they didn't and a ton of people died and it didn't matter? ik this was all ghost writers#but jesus christ#and I remember that transphobic joke they made.#pjo was not AS much of a disaster but I hate how they didn't let percy just live his life#and instead had to make hoo the percy adentures: part 2. JUST USE YOUR NEW CHARACTERS#he had so many of them!#hoo was soo bad like the last book sucked severely#I'm sure later books are also not great but I haven't read them#pjo WAS a great series and without a doubt the highest quality kids books on this list#even going downhill it was still leagues above max ride...#I think gogh was not GREAT but it was really fun and original and had some great and memorable scenes.#def more emotionally honest and cohesive and structured than max ride#cor.txt
