I feel like when ever people say things like “THIS IS A KIDS SHOW HOW DID THEY LET THIS HAPPEN?” when something more mature than my little pony happens it really perpetuates the idea that kids animation should never have mature themes.

Things like death and grief aren’t too mature to be shown in children’s animation and I’ll argue that it NEEDS to be shown. It can help kids to understand and deal with these things at a younger age as long as they approach it right.
