hello :) i'm looking for some inspiration for a dramatic monologue on this character from Dante's Inferno, Gianni Schicchi. He's basically a fraud, forger, and someone who disguises himself as someone else to swindle people out of their money. It's what he do for a living, fool people. Do you perhaps have any monologue that is somewhat related to his whole premise?

I have a whole opera for you! Look at Puccini's Gianni Schicchi (english translations should be pretty easy to find). You could also look at some of Shylock's material from The Merchant of Venice (huge warning for some 1500s-typical anti-semitism on that one depending on the performance you see/the notes you look at with the reading). Additionally, take a look at the musical (and the film on which its based) Catch Me if You Can (it's a semi-biographical show about famed fraud, forger, and impersonating theif Frank Abignale Jr).
