just watched the megacon panel for one piece and there's a question about what job/work their characters will have in the real world.

i want to give my take on it just for fun. lol! also can be good wips.

Luffy - his english VA said he's unemployable which is very funny cause' it's most likely to be true 🤣. but for me i always saw luffy as an activist. he'll be advocating for equality, world peace, freedom, and saving world hunger. if not, he's very athletic and full of energy so maybe in sports like boxing, gymnastics or athletics. since he likes adventures so much maybe a solo-backpacker, travelling alot. hiking and camping.

Zoro - in police/military force. very into sports maybe a sports manager or coach. a sensei in kendo, martial arts, judo etc... maybe even a stunt performer/director. or an action star in movies.

Nami - her VA said she'll be an influencer and gonna be monetizing everything. make sense, she'll be that or be her own CEO of a multi-billionaire company. businesswoman.

Usopp - Jacob said he'll be president very usopp coded answer 🤣. for me i always saw him as an engineer. botanist. maybe a farmer. inventor. an artist.

Sanji - obviously a world class chef, owns a michelin star resto. or maybe a private chef. or since he's royalty maybe an actual prince.

chopper - a doctor. director of a hospital or dept. head of medicine in a university. head of the WHO. or maybe in pharmaceutical creating medicines or vaccines. a scientist.

Robin - obviously an archeologist. historian. professor/teacher like indiana jones. a florist or owns a big flower farm. an artist. a writer. or an editor for a publishing company. a librarian. or a CIA agent. and even a conspiracy theorist 🤣

Franky - engineer or mechanic. architect. carpenter. inventor. he can also be working in NASA.

Brook - singer. musician. an artist. composer. musical director. conductor.

Jinbe - sensei in martial arts. have his own dojo. Spiritual leader 🤣. probably a yakuza/mob leader. idk cannot think of anything ahahaha.

Oh god.... uuuuh I have never thought about it.. prob those obvious dark lines for leg hair and same for stuble. Probally the 'girl' style eyes because Ray is abit uwu like that. His wings would look similar to non snow style Monet's wings. His dress sense is similar to Arlong Pirates..

Man this is painting a picture but not sure if its the right one. His body shape would either be 'slimed out' or girly cus OP style doesn't have a chubby or pearshape that isn't a joke like Foxy.

Ep. 605

So Luffy (+ Robin and Franky) gets his ass beat by Ceaser for a bit, and the whole gas thing is tricky for them, once they are inside the lab again, Zoro is aware that Luffy almost died and this is what he tells him:

This part is so special to me because besides any romantic implications it shows how serious Zoro is about not only his dream but also Luffy's, they spent 2 years training for the new world and they can not be dying this early. I love that Zoro is not shy to tell his captain to take things seriously (we can also add a layer that he can't be clumsy with his life) and Luffy recognizes that enough to apologize and do better from now on.

Ep. 609

So Luffy is yet again almost dying during his fight with Monet and while she's whispering her death asmr to him, remembering Zoro's words (and thinking about the crew) is what gets him to snap out of it.

This is where it gets romantic to me, Luffy is a character that feels things so deeply, and thinking about Zoro and what he told him to get himself out of a near-death state is nothing but love for me. He also thinks about the crew because he also loves them, but it's different, and if you're reading this you probably get what I mean.

Ep. 621

The two moments above are the ones most relevant to me, but I want to talk about this moment a little bit just because I'm a sucker for their whole Captain-Second-in-Command thing.

For Context, Usopp says he's gonna take Baby 5 and Buffalo down but Law is in a hurry and he wants to get it done quickly, but Luffy intervenes:

Seriously!!!! Zoro will back Luffy up in almost anything (even later when he finds out about the alliance and fighting an Emperor, he's all like "oh cool, great idea Luffy"), but I picked this moment because it not only shows how they are aligned but also how much they both trust their crew. This amount of respect is one of my favorite things among the StrawHats.
