Supernatural Week - Day 06
Best fight against a big villain (in a long arc storyline)
YED is a finely crafted villain and AHBL2 is my all time favourite season finale. The build up of the storyline and the execution were perfect and Frederick Lehne was amazing!

Just having a mild crisis over the fact that the base acting for Azazel aka the Yellow eyed demon wasn't Fredric Lehne's but Jeffrey Dean Morgan's.

Supernatural season 2 episode 1.
In my time of dying.
So we ended up in the season 1 finale with the car crash.
The Winchesters end up in hospital with Dean in a coma, about to die.
Now this episode may not be the most exciting but it sets up the whole season about Sam with his special powers.
While Dean has a reaper luring his soul to beyond, both Sam and John look for ways to bring back Dean from the edge of death.
Sam communicates with Dean....
John makes a deal with the yellow eyed demon.
As Dean comes out of the coma, totally healed, John whispers a secret that echoes through the season.

Dean: Hey! Don't you dare speak to him, motherfucker!
Azazel: Well, I didn't fuck your mother but I did masterbate to her, plenty of times. That's got to count for something.

I found these images so I'm going to have some fun 😂😈 I'm gonna regret this...
So, Asmodeus lost a bet to Azazel. In return, he had to shave off his beard and cut his hair shorter than he would like. (Azazel's idea since he knew he'd hate it. Asmodeus will make him pay for it.)
But first, he has slightly more important matters to attend to.
He intentionally walks in front of one of Ramiel's security cameras with a lower ranked Demon he didn't really care for the name of.
His name wasn't the important part, neither was he. All that mattered was that Ramiel was watching. Of course, the black-eye was unaware of the security camera above them. Nobody ever looks up.
Asmodeus, however, knew Ramiel's property even better than Ramiel. So,he chooses that moment to strike, rialing the younger Demon's hormones. He teleports him down to the basement.
All that matters to him, is that Ramiel is watching them.
Which means, any where there is cameras is free game.
As long as Ramiel's jealous, Asmodeus is satisfied... For the moment. He was going to make him regret in not taking him up on his offer as often as he could manage. His offer to pick up where they left off as humans. That's what you get when your brother is your ex-lover.
{So, well, that got dirty.... Why am I turned on, right now?}

I know I did a post about how the basis for Yellow Eyes was Jeffrey Dean Morgan and not Lehne but I can't find it anymore.
Anyway... I dug a lil deeper, as I like to do...
Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the shadowy figure in the pilot.
Jared confirmed that in an 2022 interview with Nerds and Beyond: "But you know, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was the shadowy figure in our pilot [on Supernatural] that was standing over my crib. It was him in that trench coat outfit."
Kaare Anderson played the stand in for Yellow Eyes in Salvation.
And Jeffrey Dean Morgan played Yellow Eyes again in Devil's Trap.
I'm not even fully sure if the eye-shot we get of Azazel in 1x21 is Lehne. It looks like Lehne but it could easily also be Anderson or Morgan, as the bridge of their noses look quite similar.
(Honestly, if your look really closely, you can tell it's Anderson, and not JDM or Lehne)
Also, Lehne is NOT listed in the cast of any of the episodes Azazel appears in physically until season 2. Filming for season 1 wrapped in early April 2006, and they didn't resume filming for season 2 until the 12th July that year.
Lehne worked off of what JDM and the writers had established in season 1🤷
