Writers!
I'm leaving freelance writing; it's a long story, but the lifestyle is no longer right for me. I had a thought, though; as someone who has been doing this for nearly ten years, maybe I can help other people get a leg up on my way out.
So I'm planning to do a series of short blogs on my Vocal page - I might start a website collating resources and tips too.
The reason I'm announcing this is simple; I want to know what kind of questions people would want answered. I've tried making general posts before, and while some people found them useful, they inevitably failed to touch on specifics that people were interested in.
So, if you have any questions, let me know!

Beyond pissed because my job is late paying me. I'm expected to meet deadlines and show up (which I always do) and I can't be paid on time???
What about my bills?
And I gotta start buying these Christmas presents.

Sometimes I just have to laugh at the feast-or-famine way freelance work comes and goes.
In the past week, I have: — Published a one-shot comic consisting of 45-ish panels, as part of an anthology — Agreed to costume a theatrical production that will go up at the end of March — Took a commission for an illustrated logo design — Consulted with a potential client about making cartoons, which may or may not be a recurring job — Supplied an at-cost print-file to a previous client for an older portrait I made of them
And in addition to that: — I'm prepping for a Pop-Up shop on Feb 18th — I'm aiming to finish a big commission over the next two days — The author I've spent the last 2-ish months editing for (@snowtigra) just teased a Kickstarter for the novel in question (it's a queer supernatural mystery, and a very fun read!) — I've edited a 60-page one-shot comic for @thevampirelibrarian (which broke my heart in the best way) — Although it's currently on hiatus, I continue to edit The Vampire Librarian!
I'm as grateful as I am tired. Which is to say, very! xD
