Pimm's Plums

Simple and bright, these Pimm's Plums end a Summer lunch on a light and fruity note, and they're easy to bring on a picnic, too!

Ingredients (serves 2):

2 ripe Satsuma (red) Plums

1/2 small orange

2 tablespoons Pimm's No. 1

Rinse Satsuma Plums. Halve and pit them, and cut them into slices. Place plum slices into serving bowl.

Squeeze the juice of the orange.

Drizzle orange juice and Pimm's No. 1 over the plums. Toss well, to mix.

Place in the refrigerator, at least one hour.

Serve Pimm's Plums chilled.

Honey Mimosa

I gave the classic brunch cocktail a touch of sweetness --otherwise, I call it a!-- which makes this Honey Mimosa a lovely sip on a warm day (and not only for brunch, either!) Happy Friday!

Ingredients (serves 2):

half a tablespoon Honey Syrup

half a juicy orange

a bottle of Champagne, well chilled

Pour (chilled) Honey Syrup at the bottom of a Champagne flute.

Thoroughly squeeze the juice of the orange and pour over the Honey Syrup. Top with chilled Champagne, you want about twice as much Champagne as there is orange juice.

Enjoy your Honey Mimosa immediately! Cheers!

my classes were cancelled today but i found out only after i got to uni so i went out for a coffee with my best friend and we sat at a sidewalk table at this little cafe and some guy was trying to parallel park next to us and was about to scratch the hell out of his car on the edge of our table so i tapped on his trunk and honestly he did a good job of it in the end anyways we had a little chat it was very nice and he insisted on footing the bill on account of almost killing us it was so sweet we got him a chocolate as a thank you but he’d left by the time we got back but he’s apparently friends with the owner and a regular so we left it behind the bar i hope his kids like it. that is to say there is so much goodness within people. that is to say the existence doesn’t have to be a burden
