I've been reading the Frontier in Space novelisation, and I had to post this. They have the same favourite author.
It's a fun detail that the Doctor reads the Time Machine, and the Master reads War of the Worlds. It perfectly captures their dynamic.
The Master may say that he doesn't like Earth, but clearly the Doctor's influence has some effect on him.

The Master: Miss Grant. Miss Grant, I am soooo scary. Look at this! Look at the scary blinky light!
Jo: Aaaw, that's cool, little guy! What other toys do you like to play with? ^_^

I’ve ranted about it here and there a few times, but gosh I was honestly so captivated in my last Pertwee rewatch of just how cohesive and tight Jo’s arc in season 10 is? I find it so striking that one of the defining images of the Doctor and their companion is about the companion hating every minute of the adventure, and just trucking on to save the Doctor’s hearts. The clear “oh they fuckin’” chemistry, the unspoken text of near-lovers drifting apart because of how terrifying Jo finds TARDIS life, the literal “Too Late To Get The Girl” ending of The Green Death.
The Doctor later blatantly flirting with/seducing Sarah Jane in Invasion of the Dinosaurs.
Readings/headcanons of Dr Who as aro + ace are very important, but this froth in (arguably) one of the show’s definitive molds, the relationship between the mysterious Lord and his plucky pretty assistants being exactly what everyone was adamant it wasn’t is… y’know, it’s there! The Doctor flirting and promising wonders, gorgeous sights and marvels, only for the universe to be post-apocalyptic quarries, Empires, horrid monsters that drive his friends and ladies away. He wants nothing to do with the universe if he doesn’t have a lovely friend at his side.

Oooh a two parter. I dont think ive seen any other two parter serials so far. I'm interested to see what happens next
I cant believe that was Delgado!Masters last scene though! I think its clear they didn't intend for that to be his last scene ever. Its so sad what happened to Roger Delgado 😞 and I will very much miss his version of the master

As much as i like "Frontier in Space", my heart always drops to the floor when we get to that clumsy final shot of Delgado, knowing that that is the last we will ever see of him in the show.
^^ Yes, this so much. It's bittersweet when you think about it.
