Potentially controversial opinion: how about instead of a second season of FKBU - as I have seen many people speculate about, and which imho, doesn’t seem to be likely a thing that’s going to happen, since the orignal novel’s story has been told in those eleven episode; how about a kind of a reboot?

I don’t mean a reboot in the classical sense of the word, but more like reusing the already existing episodes, and adding more episodes to them, thus expanding the anime, because, let’s be honest, it’s pretty obvious that it suffered from the initial hit of the pandemic. The anime feels like the characters and the plot weren’t given enough time to fully develop and ripen, though, on the other hand, the rest of the MCPTF characters (Saeki, Teppei, and Kamei) don’t appear to have moved at all in their characterisation from the first episode through to the last. They also feel a bit superflous tbh.

And there’s also the whole Adollium thing in and of itself, it’s a huge plot-hole imho: we are meant to believe, that up until Katō accidently pressed the “send” button, the material is mysterious and that not much, if anything is known about it by anyone who was not directly involved with it. But episode seven rolls around, and you see in Takei’s flashback, that the taskforce set up to investigate the murder of Kambe Sayuri is already talking about Adollium, and that Kambe Shuigemaru is the head-researcher of it.

They even have obtained the chemical symbol and molecular formular for it:

If it was supposed to be a well kept secret of the Kambe Conglomerate, or rather, of the Kambe family itself, with Kikoku literally willing to go over dead-bodies to keep it that way, how the fuck did the police even get their hands on intel like this? Wouldn’t you think that one of the first things Kikoku made sure of was that nothing, absolutely nothing would point to the motive behind Sayuri’s death being in any way related to Shigemaru’s research? You would think she had ordered Hattori to make it look like a break-in gone wrong, or whatever would apply in this situation. But instead it’s instantly clear to Kiyomizu that it was murder, because the execution of it was “too clean” to match the ransacked state of the apartment. Like... sorry for going all nit-picky about it, my orignial fandom is DetCo, sooo... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

anyway, tl;dr: expand the existing anime with more episodes to give/show how the characters are developing, perhaps a filler or two for good measure,

On his side, Katou seemed to have warmed up to him a considerable amount while chasing criminals around the world. During this time, Kambe and Katou had turned into an excellent team. Of course, they still disagreed on methods and bickered constantly, but it was mostly lighthearted. Kambe thought they had learned to see thing from each other's perspective. That was, until a week ago, when their investigation had brought them back to Tokyo. "Haru", was all Daisuke could say at first. They felt the same way about each other. Haru had been holding back, worried about not being worth the effort to Daisuke of all things. The idea was so ridiculous, that Daisuke would've laughed in other circumstances.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Shattered Dreams

I try not to end my stories with pure angst, so I evened out this with a little hurt/comfort, but it’s still pretty angsty.

This fic is just constant crack humor. Highly recommend it if you are part of the YOI fandom and looking for a good laugh.

I want to. I have ideas for explicit fics. But I never actually write them because (1) I am very much a virgin and (2) I am terrified someone irl will find this account

I don’t think I could ever truly collaborate with someone to write a story. I am too picky on minute details for something like that to work. However, I am very much open to other writers building off of my ideas (with a heads up ofc).

Eventually I also would like to gift people fics, but I’m not entirely sure how the etiquette on those sorts of things work.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Victuuri. This is my comfort ship.

I actually don’t frequently invest in ships. I have a lot of “oh that relationship is very nice,” but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if they broke up. However when I do got invested, I get invested. In addition to Victuuri, these are my otps: Maiko, Kanej, Royai, Daiharu, Matchablossom, Blackbonnet

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

If I am not 100 percent certain I will finish a fic, I will not post the first chapter. As such, I have exactly one WIP that I am very slowly writing. I post one shots as I finish them, but all my multi chapter stories stay as unposted drafts. In theory, if I complete an entire story, I can post one chapter at a time, but I’ve never been able to do it.

What are your writing strengths?

I think I’m fairly good at writing comedy and making stories compelling.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I am a slow.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it’s generally okay. However I do think the author needs to carefully balance making it clear this is different language while also not breaking the reader’s immersion.

I have used other languages sometimes in my fics. In all cases, the character has been speaking a language they are fluent in. So the way I convey that they have switched languages is to translate the language into English, then italicize it. 

(side note: I have a little pet peeve whenever authors just drop a whole different language into spoken dialog, especially when the language doesn’t use a roman script. Because it completely breaks the immersion, I cannot possibly guess what is being said, and just have to skip over it entirely. Which is unrealistic because even when something is spoken aloud to you in a foreign language, you can still recognize some sounds. It’s not inconceivable to your brain, it’s just not understandable. So either say “the teacher said something in a language I didn’t understand” or “the teacher said ‘wǒ bù huì shuō zhōngwén‘“ but please do not say “the teacher said 我不会说中文.” There are exceptions of course (for instance specifically writing for a bilingual audience) and this could just be a me thing, but it does bug me.)
