prenatal yoga pics, pretty please?

I went to ONE (1) prenatal yoga class like 2 months ago, which was also a lot of growth and weight gain ago... but, you asked so nicely, I tried to recreate some of the poses I learned in the class.....

Plot twist everyone saw coming, I am much too pregnant for this.

And don't get me started a balasana or cobra pose... anything with a downwards facing belly at this size ain't happening.

Also for some reason my phone kept taking pics while I was trying to get my pregnant ass off of the floor after those last two poses. I think it registered a hand motion I didn't make... I've never felt so fucking heavy. I can post those too if you want, though they aren't flattering...

just a silly little guy who wants to be a surrogate for a couple where they only plan for one baby but with all those fertility drugs and being in prime ovulation the two eggs they implant both fertilize and we find out it's twins. even better if one of the eggs split and now i get to carry triplets.

Tonight's mood is being yearnful for motherhood, and simultaneously being sad that I will likely never experience it.

#like. pregnancy isn't something that I will probably ever safely be able to do #due to medication I'm on — and that I literally can't just. stop taking; having the risk of causing miscarriage and stillbirth. #so like. if I ever did try I likely wouldn't be able to carry to full term and if I DID there's the risk of stillbirth. #and that's just so heartbreaking to me as s/o who has always wanted to be a mother in the biological sense. literally more than anything. #my best bet for ever having a kid some day is acquiring a surrogate and doing gestational surrogacy #— bc a bitch still got good eggs it's just not safe to bake 'em in my own damn oven; and that shit is expensive af. #& even expense aside it's still depressing to me that I'll never get to have those little experiences of feeling the baby actually GROW?? #the kicks and hiccups and little movements. This is, like, a long full meta's worth of information that'll one say be put down, but it's important to remember that though she's functional and happy, the effects of Nix's ppd and the trauma of being pregnant/giving birth are still very much present. Nix has changed in the three years i've been writing her, in some ways brilliantly (most ways), in other ways sadly. She's lost the majority of her self-confidence and security, her inner voice is largely negative toward herself, and she feels in constant competition with the world and people around her. And it's a competition she 'knows' she's losing. It's never a conversation that's openly had, but if you dig a little deeper into the world of post-partum, you find so many mothers who are essentially grieving the loss of parts of themselves. Nix is one of them.

“just because our baby is going to be a mochi. and look, you’re so close to carrying him to full-term,” he rubbed your swollen tummy again, this time with a more sincere smile. “i love you the most for it.”

your eyes took a shine, processing his words, and you could’ve sworn that right now, nothing could’ve shaken your feelings for your silly husband.

suddenly your baby kicked you hard as if to reprimand you too for your insecurities, and you winced.

“hurts?” satoru questioned, slightly concerned when you nodded. “wait i’ll tell him off.”

he cleared his throat and began making circular motions on your abdomen, as if to summon him.

“yo, brat. you can’t kick your mama like that too often these days. you’re accumulating karma and she counts it. when you come out, she’ll forbid you from eating our favorite mochis and—”

and then the two of you just burst into giggles, and once again, you utterly and thoroughly fell in love with him. for always making you feel safe... and loved.

“you know, satoru...” this time it was you who hugged him, breathing in his scent for comfort. now you were totally worry-free, the softest of smile on your face. “i’m really grateful that... we found each other.”

at your heartfelt confession, satoru felt his chest tighten with warmth and his cheeks flush. he is so blushing and he tries covering it with a chuckle. and the words lingering at the tip of his tongue were—
