soccer dad!miguel who groans at the compromise he's been offered by the club manager. There's no way this was happening.
"I'm sorry, Mr O'Hara, but it's either the two of you organise a reconciliation meeting and remedy your behaviour towards one another, or you're both banned from attending the under 9's Division A league for the remainder of the season." The manager sighs, looking over at your scowling face, before looking back up at Miguel.
By 'reconciliation meeting', the bastard meant a playdate between Gabriela and Tony. And after the dig you took at his failed marriage, and the mistake he made of calling you a slut, Miguel was not fond of forgiving and forgetting just yet. Sure, the idea of having you in his apartment made his dick swell, but it also made his heart pound with dread.
soccer dad!miguel who glances down at Gabriela and frowns. The little girl clings to his leg and sniffles at the idea of her dad, her hero, not coming to her games anymore. Seeing Gabi, who's usually so fierce and self-assured, on the verge of tears over childish bickering with the opposition puts the situation into perspective. The whole reason he got into an argument with you in the first place was for Gabriela's sake. Being there to support his daughter means more than his ego.
In the end, you and Miguel both agree to the prospect of a playdate, although all four of you are wary of what's to come.
soccer dad!miguel who curses under his breath as he holds Gabi's hand and they walk back to the car, his heavy stomps amusing Gabriela to an extent as she giggles at the squelching sound of the muddy grass beneath her dad's clunky shoes. She's nervous about having her nemesis on the pitch at her home tomorrow, so she distracts herself in the familiarity of her dad's petty pout and grouchy, slumped shoulders.
"Aren't you excited to have a new friend, Papa?" Gabriela asks softly, her hand wrapped around Miguel's thick pinky as she tries to keep up with her dad's long strides towards the carpark. "You've been kind of... lonely... since mama left. Maybe this'll be fun for you."
Gabriela is so intelligent for her age, sometimes it scares Miguel with how much of the situation with her mom she could actually comprehend. He doesn't know whether to be proud of his insightful little girl, or ashamed that she's had to learn about such grown-up things so early in life. Perhaps this playdate has come at just the right time. Miguel and Gabriela both need some friends other than each other in this awkward time.
soccer dad!miguel who tries to keep Gabi entertained for the rest of the day so that neither of them dwell on what's to come tomorrow.
Once she's showered and comfortable after her game and the hectic events following it, she and Miguel lounge around on the couch, watching their favourite telenovela together and yelling at the TV screen in unison, giggling and gasping as they eat whatever fruit is left over from Gabi's halftime snack.
soccer dad!miguel who eventually puts Gabreila to bed after their chaotic day. He crouches next to Gabriela's bed, his tall, tan, muscular frame comically towering over the princess-themed bedspread Gabi's smiling face is peeking out of.
He sings to his daughter, his voice low and soothing as he casually straightens a few of the posters of Gabi's favourite footballers hanging up on her wall. Gabriela's eyes begin to flutter, the comforting presence of her dad easing her into a state of relaxation as she whispers to him, cutting off Miguel's lullaby.
"Papa, what if the boy is mean to me tomorrow? I don't wanna mess things up for you." Gabi says worriedly, not wanting to burden Miguel just in case tomorrow's playdate isn't successful and she and Tony remain rough and mean towards one another, like they are on the field.
The thought of that idiot kid being cruel to Gabriela in his own home makes Miguel suck in a sharp breath, but he remains composed and calm as he speaks quietly, a slight smile on his face. "No te preocupes por eso, mija. You matter more to me than anything else. If the kid even tries to bully you, I'll kick his ass."
Gabriela giggles, and Miguel kisses her cheek and watches over his precious angel until she falls into a deep sleep.
soccer dad!miguel who tosses and turns all night, unable to fall asleep. The images in his mind stem from a place of abandonment and loneliness. He shouldn't be this desperate for a big, happy family, but the thought of him, Gabriela, and you together makes his brain fuzzy. He yearns for that emotional connection between him and a motherly figure towards Gabi, his ex leaving him needy for a truly happy family, one without lying and selfishness, The way you care for Tony... he knows you'd treat Gabriela so well.
And he knows you'd treat him so well, too. Miguel's thoughts drift away from what a good mom and life partner you would be as he drifts off into a hazy state of unconscious lust as he dreams of you.
In the morning, Miguel wakes up in a cold sweat, large tears in his pillowcase and a sticky wetness coating his toned thighs. On top of that, there's a relentless ache in his heart. Today needs to be perfect.
soccer dad!miguel who sorts himself out and wakes Gabi up early to tidy the apartment and prepare it for your arrival. Gabriela tidies some of the clutter in her room, while Miguel focuses on cleaning the living room and the kitchen.
As he's putting away some of the clean dishes, Miguel's sharp, red eyes glance down towards the wedding band faintly shimmering on his finger. With how quickly the divorce happened, and how busy he's been taking care of Gabriela all on his own, it had totally slipped his mind to take off the ring.
With a heavy sigh, Miguel takes off the ring that's caused him so much regret, and slips it into his pocket. Gabriela is right, he could use a new "friend".
soccer dad!miguel who straightens out his simple black t-shirt, awkwardly squirming against the weight of the fabric. He feels hot, he feels nervous. It's as if he's a teenager again, his stomach is doing backflips at the thought of having a pretty girl over. But he tries to push those desires of romance and a different kind of "reconciliation" away as he hears the doorbell ring and walks to the door.
Miguel needs to focus on making up for the mean shit he said to a beautiful young lady, and allow Gabriela to make a new friend. This was about Gabi, Tony, and Miguel's need to keep watching his daughter play the game she loves. You're just an obstacle he has to overcome to do so.
Hesitantly, Miguel opens the door with a cautious Gabriela by his side, looking down to see an uneasy smile on your stunning face, and your nephew tugging on your jacket as if he's trying to pull you away so that you can escape before it's too late. Miguel can't help but chuckle at the sight.
"Come in."

miguels work schedule was very unstable. there were times when he would be gone for the whole day and then there were times when he could spend most of the day at home. you understood, for the most part, he had the multiverse on his shoulders no matter how hard you wished for him to have a much less dangerous job. of course not everyone knew why he sometimes had to disappear for long periods of time.
and one of them was your daughter. all she knew was that " daddy does very important things and he has to go but he will always come back ".
this year, fathers day rolled up on a sunday which meant not only your daughter was home but also you. for your husband it was a little more complicated. he woke up in the middle of the night to a notification from lyla about another anomaly going nuts in the wrong universe. you loved the ai but in this particular moment you wanted to explode her with your mind.
" i'll be back before sunset, i promise " with that and a kiss on your forehead he left through the portal in your bedroom.
the next time you woke up that day was because of your daughter. she climbed onto your bed and started to shake you lightly with her small hands.
" mom? where’s daddy? " you opened your eyes to gabi hovering above you with her favorite plush animal pressed close to her chest. she had this disappointed expression on her small face. you knew it was because of miguel being gone. she planned this whole day for him, you even helped her organize everything.
" i’m sorry sweetheart… daddy had to go to work. " you pulled her in so her head was under your chin. she clung to you like a small koala bear as you played with her thick brown hair. definitely his genes.
" but, he promised he'll be back before your bedtime sooo, we can still make something special. what do you say about that? "
after a small argument about who gets the cooking part of preparations, which obviously ended with you being responsible for it, you and gabi got to work. as you were looking through your old mexican cuisine recipe book [ that you definitely didn’t bought only for miguel to feel more at home during meals ] you saw your dughter holding a box of artsy stuff.
" cariño, ¿qué estás haciendo allí? "
" making daddy a poster! it's going to say 'el mejor papa de todos'! " you couldn't help the big smile from appearing on your face. you knew how much time miguel put into teaching gabi spanish and it always warmed your heart when they sat down at the dining table and simply talked in spanish, your husband making little corrections in pronounciation or grammar from time to time. but no matter what he always looked as if he had hearts in his eyes.
you knew miguels work schedule was unstable and sometimes took him out of the house for a whole day, and you understood. but gabi not so much. so here you are, 10:48 pm on the clock and no sign of your husband. you spent the past two hours comforting her and promising her that it wasn't miguels fault and that he loved her. finally at around 11 pm she fell asleep in her bed. you turned off the cat shaped nightlamp and as quietly as possible closed the door to her room.
with a heavy sigh you went back to the kitchen to start cleaning everything up. while puting away food into the fridge you heard a specific glitching sound and you already knew who showed up home.
" you're late. " you weren't really mad at him , it was just tiring sometimes.
" i know, i'm sorry love... it's just - things got a little out of control. " you didn’t look at him and his first thought was to come behind you and hug your waist hoping it would make you feel even a little bit better. “ was there something that i forgot about today? is that why you’re angry? “
" i’m not angry, but your daughter is. she planned the whole fathers day for you. "
" ay, coño… " he sounded defeated, tired, and disappointed in himself. you pulled yourself away from him and came up to the poster gabi made, its was rolled in a tube to not spoil anything before the big reveal. you handed it to miguel with a tiny smile on your face. he was a bit confused for a second but he got the memo and rolled out the paper to it’s full extent. you could see the tears forming on his waterline as he chuckled. probably because of the spelling mistake made by gabi that you didn’t have the heart to point out.
" me and gabi made a deal for you, you have take us to the zoo tomorrow, and she demands that you let her piggyback the entire time to repay for your sins. "
" i guess there’s no other option. " he said with a smile.

Pt. 1 Pt.6
Summary: After much convincing from both O’Hara’s you finally agree to move in as you start to be apart of their everyday life.
18+ Warning
I am truly sorry for such a delay in updates. College and work has been taking up all my time. But I'm happy to finally get another chapter out! This one shot/ story book is no where near ending! Just wanted to put that out there if anyone was thinking I stop writing.
I apologize for any grammatical mistakes I missed.
Enjoy💕

————————————————————————
It has been three months now since you've began your relationship with Miguel and two months since he asked you to move in with him and Gabi.
You breath out a tired sigh as you wipe the drops of sweat from your face. The punching bag swinging from the interaction with your fists.
"Mig, how do you train for hours like this everyday?" You stop, resting your hands above your head to breath better. Miguel came from behind the punching bag with a smile as he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you into his sweaty bare chest.
"It took a long time to get to this level of training. Now it's just part of my daily routine. Even better today that you decided to join me. It's so hard for me not want to ravish you against the bench press." Miguel gently lifted your chin as he placed a loving kiss to your lips.
"I'll definitely let you maintain your routine. I'll just stick to my basic treadmill and weights. But I’m glad to be your gym buddy every once in a while." You return the kiss, tasting the salt of sweat on his lips. Stepping away briefly you grab your water bottle and took a swing of water. Of course the large hydro flask made water spill down your neck to your chest. Bad mistake.
Lust clouded the brownish red hues of Miguel as he swiftly picked you up and laid you on the matted floor.
"M-Miguel?" Lifting your legs over his shoulders he ripped your workout leggings wide enough to see your gorgeous lips and inner thighs.
"H-hey! I liked those."
"Naughty girl, wearing no underwear. What am I going to do with you mhm?" Miguel grabbed your hips as he lowered his face between your thighs as his tongue licked up your folds to your clit.
"I-I'm doing laundry. All of m-my thongs are in, fuck that feels good, in the wash. And my other underwear makes a panty-line." Your fingers intertwine in his dark curls as you gently thrust your hips up. Thankfully your were at Miguel's home gym and not somewhere in public, cause you knew that wouldn't stop him from ravaging you.
"Amor, you taste heavenly as always. Maybe even more sweet after working out." Miguel lifted your hips closer to his mouth as he continued to tongue fuck you. You tug at his hair more which made him hum in approval against you letting a moan escape from your lips. You cover your mouth with your other hand to stifle your moans afraid to wake up Gabi.
The hand over your mouth was snatched and pinned to your side as Miguel lightly glared up at you. "Don't cover up your voice. I want to hear you."
"B-but Gabi."
"It's 6am she's still asleep."
You laid there in a pool of sweat, overstimulated after your third orgasm. You knew Miguel loved eating you out but the overstimulation was becoming too much.
"Miggy n-no more. Please." You tried to gently push his head away from your throbbing clit, but was proven unsuccessful as you heard Miguel growl from your slight protests. The alarm on Miguel's phone went off which made him groan as he finished you off before sitting up and turning off the alarm.
"It's 7 already." Miguel groaned in frustration as he licked his lips, savoring the taste of you. You sat up, leaning on your elbows as you try to calm your breathing as you lightly glare at your boyfriend.
"You know, you have a serious addiction." You huff with a pout. Miguel smirked as he hovered over you, placing a soft kiss to your lips letting you get a quick taste of yourself.
"You know you love it. So stop whining." He chuckled as he kissed you one more time before getting up and helping you up. You roll your eyes playfully as you lean up to kiss his cheek before walking to his Master bathroom and turning on the shower. Of course right behind you was Miguel as he undressed and joined you in the shower.
You tilt your head back as you let the water hit your face, clearing away the sweat. "Your making my wallet cry for how many clothes I've had to replace from your perverted self."
"Hermosa, I will gladly take you shopping for more clothes so that you won't have to worry about becoming broke. If you moved in with me that will definitely help your bank account." Miguel brushed some of your wet hair behind your ear as he placed kisses along your neck.
"If you didn't rip my clothes to shreds then I wouldn't have to worry about buying more clothes. And you know why I won't move in with you. It's too soon. Gabi was told only a month ago that we're dating. And I know she has been beyond thrilled about it. I just want her to adjust and having me move in seems too sudden."
A small pout rested on Miguel's lips from your answer to moving in. You hate to see when he was sad, especially because of you. Aching heart, you gently cup his cheek, a small gesture of affection. Miguel placed his hand over yours as he leaned into your touch.
"How about I ask her when I take her to school this morning?" Miguel offered.
"How about you ask her when you drive her home from practice. I don't want it to affect her day at school or soccer practice." Miguel sighed as his pout was replaced with a smile, happy that you took in his consideration to move in. He loved how much you cared for his daughter. He loved you.
"Alright. Sounds like a plan. But I think you and I both know her answer. I'm more curious to know what yours is. You can tell me if you don't want to move in with me. I'll understand."
You took a deep breath before looking back up at his eyes, wanting to know how you felt.
"I do want to move in with you. I'm just a little scared that by us rushing things that we'll make a mistake and- I just. My heart wouldn't be able to take the heartbreak."
Miguel’s heart ached by your words. He wrapped his arms around you in a loving embrace as he placed a kiss on the top of your head, resting it gently on top of yours, gently breathing in your floral scent from your shampoo.
“You’ll never feel heartbreak when your with me. I’ll always love you, y/n.”
His words made your heart skip a beat. You rested your head against his chest as you hear his heart beat. Even though it was the early morning his heart beat was soothing you like a beautiful melody, just for you.
After finish washing up you both got dressed and went downstairs to the kitchen. You made coffee and packed Gabi her lunch and snack in her bag while Miguel made breakfast.
“Bell peppers amor?” Miguel asked as he cracked an egg into the pan.
“Yes please.”
You heard little footsteps pattering down the stairs, in rushed the adorable little O’Hara still in her pjs and carrying her stuffed bunny.
“Y/n!” Gabi squealed in joy and excitement to see you as she ran over and barreled in your arms. Always prepared for her adorable hug attacks you easily picked her up in your arms and gave her a hug in return.
“Hey there my baby bug. How did you sleep?”
“I had a nightmare. But papa stayed with me and read me a story until I fell asleep. And then Mr. Bunny was also there to shoo away the rest of my nightmares and keep me safe.” Gabi said as she showed you her bunny before holding the stuffed animal against her.
“I’m sorry you had a bad dream, sweetie. But I’m glad Papa and Mr. Bunny was able to help.” You brushed some of the hair behind her ear as you sat her down on one of the kitchen chairs.
“Here you go princesa. Your favorite.” Miguel smiled as he placed a plate with a plain omelette in front of his daughter.
“Thank you papa!”
Miguel placed a plate in front of you before placing a light kiss on your cheek making you blush lightly. “Thank you.”
“Y/n?” Asked Gabi after taking a bite from her omelette.
“Yes Gabi?”
“I wish you were here all the time. Oh! I know! Live with me and papa! Then you’ll be here all the time! And we can have movie nights every night!”
Your eyes slightly widen, surprised and curious by the coincidence of the little O’Hara’s question that her father had once again asked earlier this morning. You glance over to Miguel with a small smile as he shrugged his shoulders, secretly saying that he had no idea.
“So you would be perfectly happy with me moving in?” You asked her to double check if she meant her words. She was a five year old after all.
“Yes! I would be so happy! Please move in with us! Please!”
Your smile widened from her happy expression as you looked to Miguel. “Well, I don’t see a problem with it. Along as your Papa is alright with it.” You asked even though you obviously knew his response.
“I think it’s a great idea.” Miguel wrapped his arm around your waist and brought you closer to his side placing another kiss to your cheek.
“Oh! And then you can get married and become my mama! And I can then have brothers and sisters!” Gabi’s words made Miguel almost spit out his coffee as both of your faces went red.
“Um princesa let’s just stick with having y/n move in first.“
“Okie dokie!” Gabi smiled as she went back to finishing her omelet.
After everyone finished their breakfast and got ready to head out to the garage where his Aston Martin was parked.
“I’ll drop you off at campus after dropping Gabriella off.”
“Are you sure?” You ask as you help buckle Gabi into her car seat.
“Of course, cariño. It’s on my way to work. Plus, we can spend more time together.” Miguel said as he got into the driver’s side with you joining on the passenger side.
After a short 15 minute drive and listening to a disney soundtrack the whole way, you arrived to Gabi’s elementary school. You got out of the car as Gabi said goodbye to Miguel before you helped her out of the car and walked her to her teacher and her classmates in the school yard.
“Bye y/n!” Gabi gave you a hug before running to her friends.
“Bye sweetheart. Have a fun day at school!”
You walk back to the car and get in as Miguel begins to drive towards your campus. Now that Gabi was at school Miguel placed his hand on your clothed jean thigh as he drove using his other hand.
“So do you want to plan to get your stuff from Stephanies? Do u need help with packing or moving anything?” Miguel asked as he briefly glance over to you before looking ahead at the road.
“Well since I temporarily moved to her place quickly and short notice I don’t have too much to pack. Everything that was mine at my old apartment is back at my parents house. But I’m not going to deal with that until a later date.” You looked out the window as you spoke. But you turned your head towards his direction when you felt him gently squeeze your thigh.
“ I know it’s none of my business. But your parents do miss you a lot and I think regret their actions with Tyler. And they wonder where you are sometimes. Of course they don’t know about us. And we can talk more about that when you think it’s the best time.”
You place your hand over the one resting on your thigh as you hold his hand and lovingly squeeze it. “Maybe give me a few days to think about it. I know it’s been a bit of time but it still hurts how they reacted that day. But I know ignoring them as punishment can’t last forever.”
“Alright, mi amor. We’ll talk about it when your ready.”
It took another 20-30 minutes to get to Nueva York University main campus. Miguel pulled his car to the side where he stopped and temporarily put the car in park.
“Have a good day. I’ll pick you up at 5?”
“Sure. See you then. Have a good day at work Miggy.”
Miguel leans over and places a loving kiss on your lips. You happily returned the kiss before waving goodbye and departing for your first class.
Unnoticed by both you and Miguel was a third party watching the two of you from across the block.

Pink Pastels Pt 7
Tumblr media
Description: You catch up with Gabi and Emma, Todd is an ass over text and the O'Haras give you a gift.
Pt 8
You were kneeling down on the wooden walkway, a fake bridge designed to imitate what the builder of the zoo thought the jungle villages of Africa looked like, talking quietly to Gabi and Emma.
“Girls I know you’re excited to see the hippos, but you can’t run away like that, what if either of you had gotten hurt? I was so worried about you two, and I’m sure your friends, and Mr. O’Hara, were as well.” You explain softly, holding one of their hands in one of yours, and keeping your expression calm to keep them calm.
“We’re sorry.” Gabi says, her bottom lip trembling slightly.
“We’re sorry, Ms. Y/N.” Emma begins to cry, fat tears rolling down her cheeks.
You coo at them and pull them into a hug. “It’s okay, you just have to be more careful next time.”
The sound of footsteps, four sets of small feet, and one larger set, the sound of which you’ve strangely come to recognize.
“Are they okay?” Miguel asks, his voice is rich with concern, and you feel him kneel beside you, his large hand resting on Gabi’s shoulder.
“Everyone is just fine, we just got a little overwhelmed, huh?” You direct the second half of your answer towards Gabi and Emma, who pull away and nod, sniffling a little.
“¿Estás bien, Mija? ¿Estás herida?” Miguel’s hands were cupping her face, thumbs smoothing over her tearstained cheeks. Trsl: Are you okay, are you hurt?
Gabi nodded her head. “Estoy bien, Papá.” Trsl: I'm okay/good, dad
He breathes a sigh of relief and presses a kiss to her cheek. “Never run off like that again, you know the hippos aren’t going anywhere.”
She nods again, but is still pouting, and the two of them together is an adorable sight.
You feel a pang of longing right as your phone buzzes in your back pocket. You release Emma and begin to guide the group towards the hippos, fighting the urge to throw your phone into the nearest exhibit.
Todd has been texting you all day. First to bitch at you for leaving him wasted in his apartment, three weeks ago, then for ignoring his calls the next day, then he was mad because you wouldn’t let him chaperone, even though, he didn’t actually want to go, and it wasn’t your fault, the school has rules.
He’s sent you a photo, the one the whole first grade took at the zoo’s entrance. The one you’d very quickly—offhandedly, uploaded to your social medias to mark the occasion.
Todd: I thought you said men weren’t allowed to chaperone? Was that just an excuse, so you could fuck somebody else without me knowing?
He had circled Miguel in the photo, like a crazy person.
Y/N: I said male non-family members are not allowed to chaperone, that’s a parent of one of my students. We are not having an affair, and I would never abandon my students to do something so inappropriate.
He always did this, always got so jealous of any guy who was around you for even a minute. It was exhausting.
He left you on read, and you bite your tongue, trying to keep calm as you slide your phone back in your pocket.
“Gabi told me it was your birthday a few weeks ago.” Miguel says casually.
Your stomach drops. “Oh yeah?”
“I feel bad, usually Gabi and I get her teachers flowers on their birthday, but I was out of town for work, so I guess we missed it.” He towers over you, but you don’t feel unsafe, in fact you feel strangely protected.
Miguel looks so good in that cheesy field trip T-shirt, it stretches across his chest, and clings to his arms in a mouthwatering way. He looks down at you, a sheepish smile on his face.
“We hoped maybe this would make up for it?” He hands you a daisy shaped pendant, it’s beautiful, and well-made.
“I—I can’t accept this; it looks way too expensive.” You try to give it back to him, but he shakes his head and closes your fingers around the pendant, his hand dwarfing yours.
“It wasn’t expensive at all. Gabi found the necklace when we visited one of the farmer’s markets in the city. Daisies are her favorite flower, and she wanted to get you a birthday gift…and I wanted to thank you for all you’ve done for her. I mean, it’s still the first half of the school year, and I’ve never seen her be so fond of a teacher…” His hand is still covering yours, and you’re frozen in place but basking in the praise.
“Well, it is beautiful, and if it’s not expensive then I can’t turn down a gift from one of my best students now, can I?” You joke lightly, your heart pounding in your chest.
Miguel releases your hand and motions for you to turn, sweeping your hair up with one large hand, the other clasping the necklace around your neck. “It would break her heart.” He breathes, his warm breath on your neck making you shiver.
You want him. Fuck, you want him bad.
“Can’t have that.” You whisper, breathless and resisting the urge to lean into his strong chest.
“Ms. Y/N, you’re wearing my gift!” Gabi notices so quickly, weirdly quickly, for a moment you wonder if they planned this.
“I am, it’s very pretty, thank you.” You finger the pendant, it is absolutely beautiful, maybe the nicest gift anyone’s ever given you, definitely better than anything Todd’s given you.
“Now you gotta promise me you’ll never take it off.” Gabi pleads, giving you those puppy dog eyes she does so well.
You pretend to think it over, then nod your head. “Alright, deal.”
She lets out a squeal of happiness and runs back to her friends.
“She’s so good at that.” You remark, turning back to Miguel.
“Good at what?” He asks, his eyes keep drifting back to the pendant, where it sits between your fingers as you absentmindedly toy with it.
“Those puppy dog eyes, it’s so hard to say no to her.” You feel a rush of boldness and drop the pendant. “Did she learn that from you?”
Miguel’s eyes shot up to yours. “Beg pardon?”
“The puppy dog eyes.” You smile at him, a carefully crafted carefree smile meant to make the receiver feel comfortable, to get them to let their guard down.
“Oh, no, no, she learned that all on her own.” He laughs, and the sound is like syrup, muddling your thoughts with a thick sugary sweetness.
You remember his words when you admire the necklace in the mirror, the day is done, you’ve showered, and now you’re getting ready for bed.
You’re not a vain person by any means, but you can’t help but admire how it shines against your skin, as you stand bare, fresh from the shower. It hangs a bit between your breasts, the metal is sturdy, and no matter what Miguel says it’s not cheap. There’s no fake metal smell, or green staining your skin.
You spend a little longer staring at it, running your fingers along the edge, feeling each petal’s edge. It wouldn’t hurt to keep it on, at least for a little while, until Gabi forgets all about it.

Fragments of Yesterday | Miguel O'Hara x Fem!Reader
Words: 3.6k
Warnings: Character death, blood, descriptions of violence, angst, very sad Miguel. If I missed anything, please do let me know!
A/N: I AM BACK??? I am SO sorry for the delay! Uni has just started once again, and I was busy sorting everything out. These first few weeks are super hectic, and I barely had any time to write. Anyways, I hope you like this piece! I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it - I think I've written better stuff. I love the ending but something feels off, maybe it was too abrupt? Not sure I like how it turned out. But! It's very angsty and sad, and I had a blast writing it because I LOVE writing angst (shocking!)
Also, I tried to do some more research on the spanish language and on how to use endearement terms. I would hate to be disrespectful to a culture and language that isn't mine, so if there's anything wrong with the spanish here, please do let me know, and I promise I will do better! I'm also deathly afraid of fetishizing Miguel and his culture, so please do call me out if my writing ever does that. It really isn't my intention.
Anyways, I hope you guys like it! I haven't forgotten about my other requests, and am working on them :) Just please, be patient with me. Thank you! <3
Tumblr media
“Papa! Papa, look! Doesn’t Mama look gorgeous?” His precious little girl said, pulling him by the hand. The camera he held captured only what was before him, which shifted in just a few seconds. He’d been sitting down on his living room’s couch, camera pointed at the floor as he tried to figure out how to get it to work. Then, he was crossing every room in his apartment until he was met with the sight of you, standing right in front of your mirror.
“Stooop looking at the camera!” Gabriela shouted once more, tugging his arm. He did what she asked, placing it down and walking towards you. Your daughter looked adorable in her pale pink dress, all frills and ribbons, a flower headband adorning her head and pulling her curls back. “Look at her! Look at Mama!”
And so he did, and wow.
You looked…
Wow.
“Cat got your tongue, Miggy?” You looked over your shoulder to give him a flirty smile. Your face was in full display, since you’d pushed your hair back to form a ponytail, and only a single rebellious strand fell, giving you that air of effortless, timeless beauty Miguel has always considered you to have.
He took you in. The dark blue dress that fitted you perfectly, long, silky sleeves flowing as you moved around. The sweetheart neckline was flattering on your body, hugging your figure in all the right ways, and making your husband salivate just by looking at you.
“Doesn’t Mama look like a princess?” Gabriela asked once again, looking up at you in awe. You smiled and bent over, taking her cheeks in your hands, and placing the most tender kiss on top of her forehead.
“You’re the princess, mija. You look wonderful.” The little girl beamed, hands resting on top of yours. She then turns to her Papa, who’s still smiling like a fool.
“Answer, Papa!”
You tilted your head to the side, smiling at your husband.
“Go on, Papa, answer your daughter.” You said to him with a small chuckle.
Miguel gathered his thoughts. His gorgeous wife was standing right next to his beautiful daughter. The two most precious people in the entire world were standing right in front of him, making this a sight to remember.
“You’re right, mija. Your Mama does look like a princess.” You blushed at his words, doing a silly little twirl for him and your daughter. Gabriela’s jaw fell wide open, and she clapped happily, claiming you really were a princess.
The you in the video got closer, meaning Miguel approached the both of you with his camera. Turning it around, the three of you could finally appear in one frame together. Him, all sharp cheekbones, and tired eyes, you, all dazzling smile and sparkling gaze, and your daughter, a sweet mix of the two.
“Say hi to the video,” he said happily, and the both of you obliged. You, waving gracefully, and Gabriela doing it as if her life depended on it.
The video ended.
Right away, another one started.
“Shhhh, she’s sleeping!” You hushed your husband as soon as he stepped into the room. You’d been nursing little Gabriela for a while now, and after what felt like an eternity, she’d finally fallen asleep. Her tiny mouth was parted, and the slow rise and fall of her chest was a gentle reminder that she was alive and well.
“Just wanted to record this moment,” Was the reply Miguel gave you. He pointed the camera at you and melted at the sight. Lately you’d been complaining about your appearance – your hair felt dry and flat, the bags under your eyes were huge, and your body had gone through a lot of changes. But Miguel?
He saw a beautiful and radiant woman, whose body had transformed to accommodate his child. Whose smile was ever as dazzling, whose eyebags were a testament of the love and care you had for your daughter. He saw a goddess, and he hoped his video camera lens could capture that.
“She looks like you.” You said with a smile, finger lightly tracing the round, chubby cheek of your child. “I personally think it’s quite unfair. I did all the work.”
“I’d say I worked quite hard myself,” Miguel replied, sitting close to you, and giving you a chuckle, “I mean, if it weren’t for me…” You raised an eyebrow, and Miguel was quick to shut up, but not before giving you a light chuckle. “Fine, fine. I guess it is unfair.”
He placed the camera on top of the small coffee table in front of the couch and placing a protective arm around your figure. His hand came up to caress his little girl’s head, and although you weren’t used to the sight of mighty Miguel O’Hara becoming putty whenever he saw her, you couldn’t say you weren’t pleased.
“Mis hermosas chicas…” He mumbled, glancing up at you. You swore you could see pure, sheer, raw adoration in those eyes of his. How you loved whenever your husband got like this, when he sat down and idolised the hell out of you and your little girl.
Big bad brooding Miguel O’Hara was a lovesick fool, and a proud father. How sweet.
The last video was the most recent.
“Come, come, Papa! Hurry up!” This point of view was odd, floating up in the air, ominously overlooking the O’Hara family. Gabriela had asked Lyla to film the occasion, and she happily obliged.
“Mija, I’m not exactly getting younger, slow down,” Was the lie he told her – as if he, the one and only Spiderman, could not catch up with a child. Still, he adored playing into Gabriela’s antics.
“Keep your eyes closed, otherwise it’ll be spoiled!”
You smiled at the two of them, cautiously watching from afar, to make sure your daughter didn’t accidentally have Miguel run into a wall or a door – there was no way you’d let something like that ruin the surprise the two of you had spent days preparing.
“Watch your step…” Gabriela muttered, carefully leading her father down the stairs to the rooftop of your building.
A spider-sense would be useful on most occasions, but Miguel found himself trusting you completely. Besides, it’d only ruin the surprise. He didn’t want that. He’d seen the small gestures that were meant to keep him far away, found the both of you whispering and plotting on the couch, only to loudly change topics as soon as he walked in – his wife and daughter were very thorough about this surprise.
“Alright, you can open them in three… two…. One… Sorpresa!” Gabriela yelled excitedly, pointing at the lively scene before her.
The roof was nicely decorated, full of lights and colourful balloons. There was a small table with a very expensive-looking bottle of wine, and his favourite empanadas. Hanging on by a few stripes of colourful tape, was a banner with the words “Congratulations on the promotion!” hand drawn on them.
Miguel was speechless.
He’d confided in you that he was going after a promotion at his job. He started working longer shifts, coming home at the oddest hours, and barely getting any sleep, but it eventually paid off. Not only was his salary better, but he would be able to spend more time at home, spoiling his wife and watching his little girl grow.
A smile graced his features.
“You did all this for me, nena?” He asked, turning to face Gabriela who smiled at him proudly.
She nodded enthusiastically, grabbing him by the hand and pulling him near the table.
“Mama helped! Look, we have all your favourites. I even helped make the empanadas! And we got those crunchy fries you like – see? Congrats Papa!”
It was hard not to feel happy. He had always found his daughter’s happiness to be the most contagious thing in the world, and often found himself indulging in whatever shenanigans she might have, if only it meant keeping a smile on her face. The same applied to you – Miguel was whipped, to say the least.
Which was why everything had become so much harder when the two of you passed away.
Tumblr media
Miguel remembers it as if it was yesterday.
An anomaly had broken loose on HQ – a Green Goblin variant, one who wasn’t even supposed to exist, vicious and cruel. It resented being locked up by the leader of the Spider Society and was out to get whatever or whomever he loved the most. This man was cunning. He evaded every single Spiderman Miguel sent after him, even going as far as to almost knocking him unconscious, and, hiding in plain sight, stole whatever records Miguel had on you.
They were mostly safety plans and protocols, but with the help of the technology from his own (somehow inexistent) universe, the Goblin was able to find you and Gabriela. It took a while for Lyla to wake Miguel up. He was nearly out, and those few moments he spent on the floor trying to regain consciousness, had been precious. If it weren’t for those moments, perhaps you’d still be alive.
You were picking her up from school, walking hand in hand as she told you all that happened to her that day, recalling every single detail. You were smiling, and so was she.
As soon as the Goblin left HQ, Miguel knew exactly where he was headed.
From then on, it felt like a race against time.
His heart pounded loudly against his chest – he needed to get you to safety as soon as possible.
Miguel asked (more like demanded) Lyla to call you, and for a few mere seconds, it seemed like everything could work out. He tried to sound as calm as possible; there was no need to freak you out, not when you had Gabriela with you, and the most important thing was getting you to safety.
“Hey honey,” You greeted him with that warm tone, and Miguel could swear he could hear your smile in those words.
“Hi Papa!” Gabriela interjected, to which you chuckled.
“I was just picking her up from school – “
“Mi amor, listen to me, I need you to get Gabriela and hide, right now. Just do as I say, please, find somewhere you can hide, and – “
He was cut off by the sound of a scream, coming from the other side of the phone. A scream that was most likely yours.
He ran faster, swung faster, he as much as flew to you.
But while Miguel tried to hurry the shock up to get to his family, the Green Goblin was already there, frightening you and Gabriela, who had walked inside a bakery to get a treat before heading home. You were standing in front of her, in a feeble attempt to protect your little girl from harm.
“Stay back!” You yelled, removing a small gadget from your pocket. A sort of mix between a gun and a taser, a small invention Miguel had concocted to keep you safe. Should it the target, they’d feel terrible amounts of pain not only from the bullet, but also from the electricity said bullet would shoot through their body. You fired it once. Then twice. Then a third time, but to no avail. The Goblin’s suit was too thick, and you’d perhaps have made the same damage if you threw rocks at him. It was useless.
“Well look who we have here.” His words were acid, disgusting and lethal, and they almost made you cower before him. Almost. You had to be strong for Gabriela. Miguel was sure to be here soon, you knew it. “Such a pretty little thing. And his offspring.” The way he said the word made it seem like he detested the taste of it, and for some reason, it made you stand taller in front of your daughter.
“Let’s see how he likes feeling the same kind of despair I did.” The Goblin snarled, seizing you with only one arm. He was big, bigger than you, bigger than your sweet Miguel – this creature was a monster, and a big one. Grabbing you seemed like an easy task for him.
“Mama!” Gabriela yelled, arms reaching up to try and pull you. It didn’t work.
“Let me go, you disgusting vermin!” You pounded your fists against his chest, tried slapping him, punching him, clawing his eyes out, but it seemed like you were only tiring yourself out instead of harming him. “When Spiderman gets here…”
“Spiderman? Oh, you poor thing. You really think Spiderman will come?”
“He’s here! Spiderman’s coming!” You could hear the relief in Gabriela’s voice.
But that relief did not last long.
The Goblin looked to his side, snarling as soon as he spotted Miguel, who was approaching at an abnormal speed.
“Well, well…” The creature snarled, looking between you and Miguel. “I wish I had more time. I do like a bit of dramatics. Hey Spidey? You watching?” Having said this, the creature strengthened his grip on you, and, after floating a few meters above the ground, released you. Well, he didn’t simply release you. He threw you against the floor with all the strength he could muster.
Time seemed to stop for him.
It was like Miguel could see you in slow motion, tears falling from your eyes as you glanced at him, silently begging him to do something. The life you two had carved with each other flashed before your eyes. Meeting you at that shitty empanada place, bringing you flowers, saying “I do”, holding you tightly as you clutched that positive test in your hands, crying with joy at the sight of you with your daughter, kissing you before going to work. They replayed in his mind repeatedly, and he all but flew in your direction, hoping he would be fast enough to save you.
The loud “thud” coming from below him informed him of otherwise.
In that moment, Miguel didn’t know what to do. He had no idea what had just happened. He couldn’t process the information that was standing right in front of him. You, limbs contorted in a billion different positions, eyes wide open and terrified, a big pool of blood forming by your head.
What was happening? Why were you on the floor? Why weren’t you moving?
Miguel was used to death. He was used to not being able to save everyone – more than once did you have to coax him back to sleep after nightmares, ones that derived from his inability to get every single person to safety. But actually seeing you on the floor like this? It was the hardest thing Miguel had ever tried to process. He had never accepted the idea of you dying. In his mind, he’d always be able to save you.
“Spiderman! Spiderman please – help me!” It was Gabriela’s frightened voice that made him look up from your figure. And he wished he’d done it sooner.
Miguel had to deal with villains and anomalies in a daily basis. Some liked talking. Some liked taunting. Sometimes, these two characteristics managed to buy him some time, managed to get him to save the civilians, to get him to save the day. But this Green Goblin was different. He wasn’t interested in talking. There was no self-centred monologue, no well-crafted speech that allowed him to swoop in and save the innocent passerby. This Green Goblin was out for blood.
“Hey Spidey,” The Goblin was once again floating midair on his platform, holding Gabriela by her neck. Shocking hell, her neck. Miguel used his webs, swinging as fast as he could, following the creature, who, with every word, floated higher and higher. “Remember what you told me back in your little Society? That you would defeat me? What were the words you used? Oh. That’s right, you said you’d crush me.”
Shit, shit, shit. Why was he so damn slow. Why was the Goblin so damn fast. A few more meters and he’d be there. A few more meters and he’d be holding his little girl, he would save his little girl, he’d save her and take her home, everything would be fine –
“I guess I’m the one who’s doing the crushing now.”
A rippling scream came out of his daughter’s mouth.
The kind of sound no parent should hear coming from their child.
He could hear the sound of bones crushing. The sound of breath coming to a halt.
And then, as if the girl was nothing but trash, he released her.
Miguel lunged in her direction, and by some miracle, was able to get a hold of her before she fell to the floor.
“Gabi, Gabi, look at me. Talk to me Gabriela, please.” He mumbled as soon as he safely landed on the floor, hands coming up to check her face. And that’s when his eyes landed on her neck. Her small, frail neck, completely shattered by that monster’s hands.
Miguel doesn’t quite know what happened next. He saw red, and the only thing he remembers, are the limbs of the Green Goblin scattered around the street. Some in his hands. Some on the floor. The creature’s throat was right under his foot.
And what came next was pain.
Unbearable pain.
Learning to live without you and Gabriela had been the hardest thing he had ever done.
In fact, it was so hard, he still didn’t know how to do it.
There were the nightmares, the terrible nightmares he had the first few months. He saw your death in his dreams repeatedly. Miguel couldn’t close his eyes. If he as much as blinked, he would be met with your figure, lying on the floor, lifeless eyes filled with tears, or his daughter’s tiny neck in that horrible position.
It was as if all the good memories he had with you had vanished, giving room to the awful images of your dead bodies.
So, he settled for the videos.
Visual memories of the three of you as a family. Some of you were from Christmas time. Perhaps you were decorating the Christmas tree, as a fitting playlist (most likely chosen by you) played in the background. He had a few of Gabriela opening her presents. Soccer balls and equipment, books on her favourite hobbies, a big teddy bear and other toys a child her age would like.
Videos of the three of you out on dates. At the zoo, pointing at the giraffes and laughing at their silly smiles. At the park, eating ice cream and observing the clouds.
Some videos were just from the two of you. Walks in the park you wished to remember, lazy mornings long before Gabriela was born, where you set the camera on your nightstand and press kiss after kiss against his naked back, picnics on the rooftop of your apartment.
Miguel would forever be grateful to you, for always bringing a camera everywhere you went, or insisting to record every waking moment your family spent together with your phone. It had been these recordings that Miguel turned to on his darkest hours.
Sometimes, Peter B. and the kids found him hunched over his desk, silently crying as he clutched your daughter’s teddy bear in her hands. He would whisper to it, apologising profusely for not being able to save her, for being a terrible father and an even worse superhero. The group had also caught him whispering words to the framed pictures he had of you. He’d cry and ask for forgiveness, ask for advice, ask for a sign that you were still with him, somehow.
It hurt to see Miguel like this.
He refused to be Spiderman for a few days, claiming he wasn’t good enough to protect the city. If he couldn’t protect you and Gabriela, surely that must mean he is not fit to save anyone at all. But with a lot of convincing from Peter, he realised that your deaths were the reason he had to protect the city. To keep things like these from happening ever again.
Miguel looked at the screen in front of him.
You were so gorgeous. You always had been. Even when you looked away in embarrassment, or when you woke up, hair tousled in every direction, or bent over the toilet, puking your guts out. You were so beautiful. Right now, he watched as you helped Gabriela get ready for her birthday party, combing her hair and putting it up on two little pigtails. Your little girl looked radiant. Everyone said she looked like Miguel, but he saw you in her eyes, in the way she smiled, in the way he helped others.
In fact, Miguel saw her everywhere.
He saw her in the gentle way the sun kissed his skin whenever he felt too defeated to wake up. He saw her in the way his pieces of bread looked like funny shapes. He saw her in the way birds played with each other midair, chirping and spreading their wings in a sign of freedom.
And he saw you too.
Whenever the breeze blew lightly against his face, he could swear it was your lips he felt against your temple. Whenever his food was too hot against his tongue, it was as if he could hear you say, “Slow down guapo, the food ain’t going anywhere”. Every time he saved someone, he could hear you, oh so vividly, as you praised him and told him you were proud of him.
Learning to live without you and Gabriela had been the hardest thing he had ever done.
In fact, it was sohard, he still didn’t know how to do it.
But he was learning.
And if his wife and daughter stayed by his side like this – he was sure he could do it.

"Levi Heichou!" You called out, excited to see your lover appear before you.
"Tch, I told you so many times before to drop the shitty title, we're no longer in the Corps anymore," Levi rolled his eye—his good one—as he approached you. His hair was neatly combed back, his fedora in his lap. Levi was wearing a simple white button shirt with black long pants. His hair had grown longer; his fringe now growing past his eye. You missed how he used to keep his hair short, but you loved how nice Levi looked with longer hair too.
You looked hard at Levi, studying every line and wrinkle you see, and the barely visible strands of grey on his ebony hair. Years of fighting on the front line had taken a toll on his body more than you liked, even though he claimed it didn't really affect him much since he had the Ackerman bloodline.
Although the war ended, you knew Levi still wasn't at peace. You could tell he was restless, he didn't like being cooped up at home. His eyes didn't seem to have life in them like they used to, and he just seemed so sluggish all the time. You knew Levi wasn't sleeping well too; sometimes the ache in his knee woke him up, and sometimes, it was the demons Levi were fighting in his head. Levi didn't say it, but you knew he missed the old life, the one where he spent half his life fighting for a cause he believed in, and now that he fulfilled his mission, his life felt aimless; he didn't know what to do, and what to continue living for.
It took you a long while to convince Levi to even agree to step out of the house and go on this picnic date, and deep down, you knew you had to make every minute out with him worthwhile.
"What are you staring at?" Levi's voice brought you back to the present, "thinking of something?"
"Nah, I'm just thinking of asking Mikasa to send me some of those pearl eye cream from Hizuru. You know, the one Lady Kiyomi sent her for her birthday?" you answered, bringing a pair of shoes and putting them on for Levi, "I heard they're good for reducing wrinkles, especially around the eyes."
Levi's eye narrowed. "Oi. Are you saying—"
"Did Big Sister y/n just call Uncle Levi old?!" A high pitched voice came from the kitchen, and you felt an impact around your midsection. A few moments later, a head of blonde hair appeared by your side too. "Big Sister y/n just said Uncle Levi has wri—"
"Gabi! Shush—" Falco covered Gabi's mouth while she tried to wiggle herself free. You giggled and glanced at Levi who was eyeing the three of you, and quickly tried to separate the younger ones.
"Oi. You brats. Ganging up on me now?" Levi crossed his arms, looking utterly displeased. Falco continued covering Gabi's mouth while she tried to stomp on his foot.
"Of course not, Levi, we wouldn't dare to offend our elders do we, kids?" You joked, earning another stare from Levi. Before he could say anything, you quickly ran into the kitchen with Gabi and Falco.
"Big Sister y/n!!! Did you see Uncle Levi's face when you talked about wrinkles?" Gabi laughed while Falco appeared with a picnic basket in tow.
"Shut up, Gabi! Uncle Levi and Big Sister are late for their date already, stop disturbing them!" Falco sighed and tried to pull Gabi away, "here, Big Sister, I hope you and Uncle Levi have lots of fun today!"
You nodded and waved the kids goodbye and went outside, looking again at Levi who still had his arms across his chest. Onyankopon was right behind Levi, giving you a smile.
"Come on brat, let's go." Levi rolled his eye again as you passed the picnic basket to Onyankopon. Pushing Levi's wheelchair, Onyankopon told you to wait by the pavement as he went to drive the car over.
"... do I really have wrinkles?" Levi muttered once Onyankopon left. You snorted and tried to hide it with a small cough.
"Hmm… well… I mean, uh… your crow's feet do seem to be… uh—"
"Fine. Enough." Onyankopon arrived and Levi dismissed you, clearly knowing the answer in his heart. You giggled as he came out to help Levi up into the car while you kept his wheelchair in the boot.
"The weather today is lovely," Onyankopon smiled as he began driving, "it's a good day to be out in the sun."
"And yet, she still does not want to tell me what we're doing today."
"You'll find out later." You chuckled again holding Levi's hand, watching the scenery outside pass by. You sought help from Onyankopon and the kids weeks ago to look for nice picnic spots in Marley. With the spring breeze flowing and the flowers blooming, you thought it would be a perfect opportunity to spend undisturbed time with Levi. You thought a change of scenery might do him some good too; to help him out of this depressive state. After another quarter, Onyankopon stopped the car near the park and went to take Levi's wheelchair out.
"I'll pick you two up at eight, is that okay, y/n?" You checked your watch and it was a little past four. You nodded your head and thanked Onyankopon before taking the picnic basket and another bag from the front seat. Placing the picnic basket on Levi's lap, you helped him put on his fedora and his eye patch before wheeling him ahead.
"So, are you going to tell me why we are here in this godforsaken place?" Levi questioned you again as you began pushing him on a stony path.
"I'm taking you out on a date, obviously." You teased him again as you suddenly pushed him faster, causing his fedora to nearly fly away. Levi tutted angrily and said you should never be allowed to push his wheelchair again.
A few moments later, you and Levi arrived at a shop offering bicycles for rent. You paid the shopkeeper some money and then he rode a quadricycle over. You took the picnic basket and bag from Levi's lap and placed it in the front seats of the quadricycle. Once more, Levi gave you a look of confusion.
"Well, up now, I rented this for the day," you gestured. Levi awkwardly looked away, subconsciously placing his hand on his bad knee and grimaced, knowing that you of all people should know how he wasn't like before. What were you thinking, making him cycle when you knew it was going to be hard for him?
"Come on, Levi, stop depending on that wheelchair. You have to prevent your knee from becoming worse, right?" You smiled encouragingly, offering your hand out. You had expected that Levi would be unhappy, but you likewise knew that you shouldn't treat him differently from before. Whether or not he was Levi Heichou of the Survey Corps, or now as Levi the war veteran, he was still Levi—the Levi you loved. Whether he had physical disabilities or not, Levi was still the man you want to spend the rest of eternity with. You didn't want to push him, you wanted Levi to get out of this self-pitying state himself. After a long while, Levi held your hand and pushed himself up from the wheelchair. Slowly but steadily, you guided Levi up on the seat of the quadricycle, placing his feet on the pedals.
"W-wait. What about the wheel—"
"Don't worry, sir, your item will be safely kept here." The shopkeeper kindly replied and Levi seemed to relax a little. It was hard trying to move around without the wheelchair, but maybe you were right. He should try to depend on it less. "We'll close at around 10pm, so please remember to come by before then." The both of you nodded and you took your seat on the left. Looking at Levi, you gave him another smile and asked if he was ready. You could see Levi massaging his knee again. Levi took a deep breath and sighed, telling you to start pedalling.
It was hard at first, but Levi gradually got used to the momentum again. The both of you kept your pace slow, taking your time to enjoy the scenery passing by, the sound of birds chirping, and the gentle rustling of leaves. The sun was obscured by the clouds and there wasn't much of a crowd as well. You saw Levi's face relax gradually, the crease on his forehead slowly disappearing. Levi seemed to be more at ease with paddling on the quadricycle as well. You smiled to yourself. Bringing Levi out was indeed doing him well.
"Are you doing okay?" You checked in with your lover, making sure he wasn't overexerting himself. After he gave you a nod, you pointed to a large shady tree about 200 metres away, telling Levi that it was the next stop. Reaching the tree, you told Levi to remain seated first.
"Are you up for a walk?"
"... Hah?"
"A walk, Levi. Let's go for a walk."
"N-no, I don't think I can—"
"We'll walk slowly. Forget about the walking stick. You don't need it, I'm here."
Levi looked hard at you, face remaining emotionless. The frown on Levi's face became more and more evident as the seconds passed. You continued to stare right into Levi's eye, your resolve unwavering. A few seconds later, Levi broke eye contact and sighed again before reaching out his hand towards your direction.
"You better not make me regret this," Levi muttered under his breath, "you're forcing a crippled man to walk when you jolly well know he can't." You rolled your eyes.
"First off, Levi"—you took his hand and slowly guided him down the quadricycle—"you're not crippled. Secondly, you walk fine. Thirdly, think of this as rehabilitation, hmm? And lastly, stop complaining like an old man." You stood on Levi's right side and interlocked your arm with his, making sure he wasn't putting too much pressure on his knee.
"Where are we going?"
"Not far. We're just going to that small pond over there," you pointed towards a pond just in front, "let's go and feed some ducks." Levi scoffed hearing you.
"As long as they keep their feathers and shit to themselves."
The walk to the small pond was slow but pleasant. The heat from the sun was warm against your skin, the scent of the earth was refreshing. Levi held on to his fedora as the wind blew gently, and the sound of the grass and gravel crunching underneath your feet was playing like a contrasting melody. Once you two reached the pond, you opened your sling bag and took out a slice of white bread. Levi raised his eyebrow slightly.
"These are stale bread from a week ago." You chuckled before tearing it into half, passing one to Levi. You further tore your half into more tiny pieces before throwing them little by little into the pond. Some of the ducks in the pond started waddling over. Several tortoises also popped their heads above the water. There were also fishes fighting amongst themselves for the last few pieces. Levi looked at you before tearing the bread in his hand, scattering them all across the pond. The fishes and ducks dispersed and finished all those pieces of bread within the next minute.
"Do you have more bread on you?" Levi asked as he finished scattering the last few pieces of bread in his hand. You laughed and took out a few more slices.
"Maybe we can go to the pier next time," you commented once those hungry birds finished all the bread in your bag, "we should try feeding the seagulls." Levi scoffed again and let you hold on to his elbow.
"Tch. And have them shit on our heads? No."
The both of you began walking back to the quadricycle. Reaching into another bag, you took out a small paper kite. Levi raised his eyebrow again.
"Do you like it? I had Gabi and Falco do it together with me." You smiled and flipped the kite over, letting Levi see the doodles they did. Levi smirked when he realised who the five blobs of colour drawn on the kite were. You held onto the string and passed Levi the kite, telling him to lift the kite above his head while you moved back.
"OKAY, LEVI, THROW THE KITE HIGH AFTER I COUNT TO THREE!" You shouted and Levi gave you the thumbs up. After counting to three, Levi threw the kite high and you jogged backwards, pulling the string up to get the kite into the sky. Releasing the string bit by bit, Levi slowly made his way to your side as the kite now started flying a short distance away. You gave Levi a smile and tied the string around the tree trunk before going to the quadricycle, taking out the picnic basket and setting the mat.
"Now… let's see what the kids made for our picnic." You rubbed your palms together excitedly and opened the basket. You took out a container of hot stew, some freshly baked sourdough bread, cheese, mushroom quiche, and a small container of fruits too. You arranged the food on the mat and took out the bowls, cutlery, and a few serviettes. Pouring some stew into the small bowl, you passed it to Levi's left before giving him the spoon.
"It seems pretty decent," Levi uttered as he took a spoonful of stew and eyed you, "are you sure they did it all on their own?" You ate some stew and nodded.
"Well, Onyankopon did give them pointers, and I was the one who gave them the recipes, but yeah. The kids made it all by themselves. Not bad, huh? Maybe we should let them open a small food stall along the streets." you took another few mouthfuls of stew, "it's time for them to contribute to the household finances." Levi tutted angrily instead.
"They're too young to be doing shit like that, you brat. Don't be ridiculous."
You giggled, cutting some mushroom quiche for Levi. "I'm joking. Of course I wouldn't let Falco and Gabi do something like that. " The crease on Levi's forehead disappeared again as he ate, passing you his bowl for more stew. Levi and you took your time savouring the good food prepared by the two kids. It was pretty decent, and indeed you were secretly thinking of letting them open a small food business once they are of age.
Once all the food was finished, you told Levi to pack everything fast. Bewildered, Levi didn't say anything, yet he wondered what you were up to again. You got Levi up onto the quadricycle again and told him that there was one place you wanted to bring him. Stopping the quadricycle, you helped Levi down and laced your arm around his again, walking him to some benches ahead. The park was located right next to the sea, and it was pretty empty, just the way you hoped.
"Come on," you muttered as you helped him down, walking towards the bench, "we're just in time."
"For what?"
"You'll see."
Taking your seats on the bench, you checked your watch before glancing ahead again, looking at the dispersing clouds. Before long, the sun started to set, painting the sky a beautiful hue of red, orange, and yellow. You could feel Levi let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, and you grabbed his hand, feeling your fingers interlock. The both of you continued to stare silently at the magnificent view ahead, watching the sun descend lower and lower, listening to the waves crashing on the shore, feeling the wind blowing against your skin. You could feel Levi's calloused fingers caressing your knuckles, and the familiarity tickled something in your memory.
"Brings back memories, huh, Heichou," you peeked at Levi, seeing him trying to hide a small smile as well, "we used to do this all the time." Levi hummed in agreement, keeping his eye on the sunset instead.
"I still think the view from the top of the walls were nicer though"—you let go of Levi's hand and stretched your hands—"it was higher, more windy, less obstruction, and more—"
"And more dangerous," Levi frowned as he interjected. You laughed once more, closing your eyes to feel the wind in your hair again. You thought back to the reason why you decided to bring Levi out today, and even though you knew it might make him unhappy, you also knew you had to talk to him about it. Minutes later, the sun had already gone below the horizon, and the sky was gradually getting darker as well. Soon, the lamps nearby slowly started lighting up.
"Say, Levi," you broke the silence once more and Levi hummed in acknowledgement again, "do you… miss the old days?"
"... why'd you ask?"
"I miss those days too, you know. I miss all our friends and comrades too. Every single one of them. Every day."
Levi didn't say a word. You guessed he was probably upset. Yet, you took a deep breath and decided to just tell him the words on your mind.
"I know it's not easy for you to, I don't know, adapt to a normal life again seeing how you've been in the Corps for nearly half your life. B-but, I just don't want to see you wallowing in self-pity, okay? It hurts me to see you like this.
"I don't care whether or not you have missing eyes and fingers, I don't care if you have to be in a wheelchair forever. I'll gladly feed your meals and bathe you, I'll wear your shoes for you and I'll push you wherever you want to go. We'll hunt around Marley to look for beautiful spots to watch the sunset and the stars. I love you for who you are, and that will never change. Falco and Gabi love their Uncle Levi too. So, j-just, don't give up, okay?"
"Who said anything about giving up?" Levi turned to you, a look of annoyance appeared on his face.
"W-well, I don't know, you're always looking so listless, and you're not eating and sleeping well. I haven't seen you smile in a long time. And once I saw you staring at the mirror looking like you're abo—"
"Hey, hey, stop it, okay? Stop worrying. I'm fine. Really." Levi held your hand and gave you a squeeze. "I'm fine. I'm dealing with it, okay? It's, it's j-just—I'm—"
"Shh. It's okay. I get it. I get you." you hushed him, gently holding him close. You didn't need to see Levi's face to know that he was probably going to tear up, a side of him that will never be seen by anyone else; anyone except you. "Everything will be alright, I promise you. I won't leave you. I'll be by your side."
The both of you remained in each other's embrace, letting your hug do the talking. Patting Levi's back rhythmically, you heard him let out a long sigh before pulling you even closer, tightening his grip around your waist as he buried his head in the crook of your shoulder. You didn't feel the need to ask Levi what he was thinking about, and likewise, Levi knew you wouldn't ask him about it. After a long while, Levi finally loosened his grip around you. The moon was hanging high in the sky and the wind was getting colder. The stars shone like little specks of glitter in the ink-coloured sky.
"Feeling better?"
"Y-yeah, better," Levi hastily wiped the remnants of tears from his cheek, "thank y-yo—
—you interrupted Levi mid-sentence with a soft kiss.
"I love you, Levi. Always remember that. Hmm? I mean it." you gave him another small smile before stroking his cheek, pressing another fleeting kiss on his chapped lips. Levi's larger hand cupped yours as he kissed you back, feeling like time around him stopped, and nothing else in the world mattered. The feeling of your lips on his, the coldness of your cheeks, the warmth from your body; they were real, and a reminder that he was still here, and he was still alive.
Levi broke the kiss first, struggling to find the right words to say while he looked at you. Chuckling, you gave him another smile and mouthed it's okay once more. Levi was never good with words and he was never a good talker, but it never bothered you anyway. Levi gave you an appreciative look while you looked at your watch.
"Come on, Levi. Let's get back to the bicycle shop."
Helping Levi on his feet, you guided him up the quadricycle and the both of you slowly cycled back to the shop. Thanking the shopkeeper for keeping Levi's wheelchair safe, you opened it and gestured to Levi to take his seat, yet Levi shook his head instead.
"Let's walk to the main entrance. There's still time, right?" Levi offered to hold the picnic basket and kite while another hand held your arm for support. You tried to hide your smile as you both walked, listening to the owls hooting in the far distance. Onyankopon's car was already waiting outside by the time you reached the entrance. Seeing Levi walking next to you, a wide smile broke across Onyankopon's face as well.
The journey back home was quiet, yet Levi felt like the weight had been finally lifted off his shoulders. You held on to Levi's hand as he laid on your shoulder, drifting somewhere between sleep and consciousness. Levi knew his road to recovery would not be an easy one. But with you by his side, it was like he found his wings of freedom once more. And for the first time in a long while, Levi went to sleep with a smile.

25 days til' Christmas ← previous part
--------------------------------------------------------
You watched as your daughter Mari waved goodbye to Gabi through the window. "I really liked playing Legos with Gabi, it's so much more fun with a friend," your daughter explained.
"That's so true when I was your age I used to love playing Legos with my little brother. We would build the sets together and play for hours," you said thinking back to the moments that you spent with your best friend in your childhood home.
You quickly ushered Mari back into the house not wanting her to catch a cold. "Mari! Get your overnight bag I packed for you and come downstairs your dad's going to be here soon!" you called out to her.
"Okayy!" she called back. You heard her little footsteps echoing above your head.
Soon enough she rushed down the stairs with her duffel and you handed her all of her gear. "Thanks, mama," Mari said as she motioned for you to bring your face closer to hers so she could kiss you on the cheek.
Just then you heard a knock on the door and realized you left the gifts that Mari had gotten for her dad under the tree. You opened the door for her dad and quickly rushed to stuff the gifts in her duffel(Mari wanted it to be a surprise).
"Hey Rafael, come in just packing one last thing," you called out.
You heard him greet Mari followed by her laughter. "Alright don't be too long," he called back, tickling her some more.
"Sorry about that, I almost forgot her favorite stuffed animal," you lied as you handed him her bag.
"It's fine I've gotten used to you never being prepared," he said as took Mari's hand.
"Not in front of her, we said we wouldn't do this in front of her," you muttered as you crossed your arms glaring up at him.
"What? I can't tell the truth? I don't even know why I only have weekend custody, look at this place! There are Legos all over the floor!" he said pointing at the mess.
"Ay dios mío[Oh my god], Rafael! You're scaring her," you said pointing your hand towards Mari working hard to keep your tone in check, unlike her father.
"I'm scaring her? You're putting her in danger by letting her play with such small toys, she might step on them," he said, keeping his tone down after realizing that Mari was starting to get upset.
"Danger? The only danger is you coming into my home and trying to instigate some kind of fight to make me look like the 'bad guy' in front of my own daughter. Mari is nine years old, she knows not to put Legos in her mouth, and she's not blind, she can look where she's walking," you said as you ran a frustrated hand through your hair.
"Okay, but were you even supervising to make sure she was okay?" he said, trying to find some kind of fault in your parenting skills.
"¿Eres estúpido?[Are you stupid?], Of course, I was. Miguel and I were watching our daughters play with Legos," you said as you simply guided him out of your house.
"¿Quién es ese cabrón?[Who is that fucker?]," he asked as he put Mari's stuff into the trunk.
"None of your business, don't forget to make time for Mari's game tomorrow, ¿Vale?[Okay?]," you said as you gave Mari a hug and a kiss on her forehead.
"I'm sorry, me and your dad always fight all the time. I'll make it up to sweetheart, I promise," you whispered as you gave her one last parting kiss before she got in the car.
"Okay, I have a Hockey game tomorrow. Can I go now?" he sighed.
You rolled your eyes making sure Mari could hear you even though you knew she couldn't really understand, "Vete a la mierda[fuck you/fuck off],"
You slammed your door and texted him, 'If you forget to take her to her game like last time, I'll never forgive you'
You hated that you had to say goodbye to Mari every weekend and not see her for days. But you could sympathize with her father because he didn't get to see her on the weekdays.
You couldn't help but shake the feeling that Rafael wasn't as committed to parenting as he was before meeting his girlfriend. You could give two shits if he had started dating just months after your divorce but his girlfriend didn't seem too interested in Mari. On top of that Mari could recount multiple times when she would be dropped off at his neighbors because his girlfriend wanted alone time.
You weren't going to let the toxic thoughts plague you any longer and you allowed yourself to rest and go to sleep.
. . .
The next day was very relaxing. You were able to do some deep cleaning for the winter and since you work on your own hours you popped in and out of shifts and did some grocery shopping.
Once work was finally over and you finished eating an early dinner you checked your watch. Rafael was probably dropping Mari off for her game. She had to be there two hours in advance to prepare herself and warm up.
You had called her and her father in the morning and she seemed very excited about her game. You took your time getting dressed and doing your hair to go to her game. You know you were just going to end up bringing your look because of how passionate of a sports watcher you were.
It didn't matter what sport it was, you were going to scream whenever a player messed up and cheer on the team you thought was going to win if you didn't already have a favorite. To make matters even worse you had a tendency to eat like a pig when you watched sports.
That's probably why none of the single dads approached you at games. You went crazy when it came to being a supportive parent for your daughter.
Just as you were about to make some snacks for Mari's teammates for the end of the game someone was blowing up your phone. Rafael was blowing up your phone.
You picked up his call and put it on speaker as you prepared each teammate's bag. "What is it, Rafe?" you sighed.
"Heyy, mama listen, I don't want you to get upset, but Angela had to go out because she's not feeling well, and I completely forgot about dropping Mari off," Rafael explained in a hushed tone.
"¡¿Qué?!" you gasped hoping that it was just some sick prank.
"Please don't get mad, I'm sorry but it's an emergency. Mari is at Peter's house," he said.
"Seriously? Rafael, I knew you would choose her over your own daughter again. Wasn't feeling well? Just take Advil seriously, is she a child?" you yelled.
"Look I'm sorry I really am-" he started.
"No no, don't apologize to me. Apologize to Mari when you see her after her game," you said as you abandoned the snacks and put your coat on getting your bag and keys.
"Well, I can't make it to her game... Angelica is going to want to eat somewhere and she's vegetarian, she can't have the food at the stadium," Rafael explained.
"You gotta be shitting me. No. For Mari, find a way to at least make it to the end, or else," you threatened
"Or else what?" he instigated.
"Or else I have my lawyer ready. I have so many instances where you neglected our daughter and I can easily take full custody. Seriously, why pick her up just to take her to Peter's house?" you asked. You really didn't want to threaten full custody but he needed that push.
It may have just been a hockey game from anyone looking at the situation from the outside but it's about being there. Being present. I would’ve wanted both my parents present. You thought to yourself. It already hurt enough knowing Mari is different from others in her class and her parents aren't in love anymore. The least we could both do is be there for her.
All you heard was silence on the other lie so you hung up and got into your car. You definitely obeyed all speed limits and most definitely didn't run a red light or two 'on accident' just to get to Mari quickly.
You practically ran up the stairs to the apartment right next to Rafe's. You knocked on Peter's door fidgeting hoping your daughter wasn't upset and she wasn't posing on his evening.
"Hey, squirt!" Peter said as he opened the door greeting you Mayday in his arms obviously wanting to cry.
"Hey Peter, listen I'm sorry about Rafe," you started.
"It's fine, it's always a pleasure having Mari over. I would’ve taken her to her game but Mayday here isn't too fond of the cold," he explained.
Just then you heard Mari run to the door and give you a hug. "Hi mija[darling]," you said as you got on your knees to hug her back.
"Mommy I'm late!" Mari said with tears in her eyes.
"I know and Papa's really sorry but I'm going to get you there in time. Trust me," you assured as you quickly got all her gear and her bags.
"Do you need help with all that?" Peter asked.
"I got it!" you called down as speeded down the stairs.
Mari followed giggling cheering you on.
Once everything was in the trunk and all seatbelts were on, you drove to the Hockey rink. You weren't really speeding because you had your baby on board and you wouldn't allow her to witness your road rage. Well maybe.
You were doing a really good job keeping the yelling in check but there was a car pulling into the rink going at painfully slow speed. You honk your horn at them before driving over the grass patches to overtake them, flipping them off and yelling, "Do you even know how to drive?!"
You swerved right into a parking seat and hopped out of your car, opening the trunk and giving Mari all her stuff telling her to run into the auditorium and get her gear on.
She wasn't on time for the team stretch or for the team dinner but she was right on time for warmups. You already texted her coach about her situation. You were so lucky that he was so understanding.
You were just about to go into the auditorium before taking a look at your terrible parking job before just leaving it and walking in.
You got yourself some snacks and took your seat. Your eyes immediately scanned the ice for your little girl. There you saw her warming up. She was number 23 and she looked ecstatic. A lot more excited than she looked before any other game. That's weird. Is her father here for the first time in forever? You asked yourself to look around to see if he was sitting anywhere.
When you finally looked to your left you saw none other than Miguel?! "Oh my god, hi, what are you doing here?!" you asked as you waved and motioned for him to take a seat next to you.
"Well, my daughter's playing today. On the opposing team," he said as he took his seat.
"Well, then I guess we're rivals today. Best of luck to your daughter though," you said as you looked down and waved at your daughter.
"Best of luck to your daughter too. I hope she's not a crier 'cause her team is about to get crushed," he said.
"Really? So it's like that? You're on Miguel O'Hara. This is war," you quipped.
The two of you laughed at your stupid parental rivalry over your daughters' sports.
"You won't believe what happened when I was pulling in. I take it we were both running late but when I was entering the stadium, there was a car on the way and they were driving as slow as a grandma. I flipped someone off in front of my daughter for the first time. I swear when I find them I'm gonna.... do something bad that will make them regret it," you said, unable to think of a good threat.
Miguel laughed and shook his head before saying, "I'm pretty sure that was me," he chuckled.
Your mouth hung open in shock at his revelation. "And for the record, I do know how to drive," he said before sipping his hot cocoa.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry I didn't mean that. I speed all the time and have terrible road rage issues," you said, placing an apologetic hand on his shoulder.
"I thought you were going to do something bad to me that would make me regret it," he teased.
God, this guy knows what he's doing. With that naturally erotic voice of his. You thought to yourself as you felt the heat rise to your cheeks.
"Well, I'm very forgiving so I'll let you off easy just this once," you said, turning away from him, hiding your flustered expression from him.
Just then, the lights in the stadium began to dim and the game started. The two of you immediately entered sports spectator mode leaning forward and watching your daughters play.
The two of you occasionally yelled when there was a good play and whenever one of your daughters had the puck. Their positions were immediately rival to one another so whenever they were going against each other the two of them went insane.
It was nice to know that there was a parent who was just as crazy about his daughter as you were. The two teams were keeping up with each other pretty well; the score was 3 - 3. There was only one minute left and both teams were doing everything they could.
Luckily Mari's team was working on a fake pass. They weren't going to try it originally but you saw Mari make the hand motion to her team mate and she faked the pass well leaving open space for her to go up the goalpost and shoot with all her might.
Gabi was on her tail but she ended up making it. The stadium erupted with cheers for the team and they all hugged. After Mari celebrated with her team she immediately went to Gabi and pounced on her. She was overjoyed to see her and they were so happy to be playing against each other.
"How does defeat feel?" you asked Miguel while doing a little victory jig.
"Worth it," he answered as he saw you in such a euphoric state with ketchup and mustard on the corner of your mouth from the hotdog you were devouring during the game.
"Here got a little on your mouth," Miguel pointed out as he took out a handkerchief and wiped the condiments off your mouth for you.
"Thanks," you said sheepishly before being interrupted by the stadium erupting in applause randomly. When you looked up you saw you and Miguel on the screens in the center of the stadium for the Kiss Cam.
The two of you looked at each other awkwardly while everyone begged the two of you to kiss thinking you were a couple or something. You turned to him looking up at him. You could feel your heart pounding in your throat. He took the sides of your face in his big warm hands and gave you a quick peck and everyone cheered for you.
You just kept looking up at him tracing your hands over the lips that he kissed. "That wasn't too bad," you joked as you snapped out of the trance he put you in.
"Yeah," you said, shaking his head.
"We should probably go," you started.
"Yeah let's," he said.
The two of you walked down the stairs to go see your daughters in the lobby. Mari and Gabi immediately ran up to the two of you.
"Hey you girls played so well," you said as you gave Mari a hug.
"What do you say we go out to eat?" Miguel suggests looking at you for a nod of approval. You looked down at Mari who was giving you the puppy eyes.
"What the hell, why not?" you said.
"You wouldn't mind if I joined would you?" you heard a voice behind you say.
"Papa!" Mari exclaimed as she ran to hug him. You crossed your arms and rolled your eyes.
"Actually we would mind so maybe you should just crawl on back to your apartment," you said
"Hi I'm Rafael, I'm Mariana's dad," Rafe said, shaking his hand, acting all nice and angelic.
"Oh goodness I'm sorry, you probably just watched me kiss your wife. Look man I'm really sorry I didn't know she was married," Miguel apologized profusely to Rafael.
"No, you kissed my ex-wife, it's all good," Tafael corrected.
"Oh, well you could join us if you would like we were going to get a bite to eat," Miguel started before looking down at Mari who was pulling at his shirt, shaking her head.
"Mama and Papa are fighting right now," she whispered as you glared at Rafael.
"It's okay you all should go. I have things to take care of at my place, you played well today Mari," he said, giving her a playful nuggie.
He waved goodbye and signaled for you to call him later tonight. Probably so that he could explain why he forgot to drop off Mari and left her at Peter's house.
Dinner with Miguel was fine and thankfully he didn't mention or ask out Rafael after seeing how his presence alone upset you so much.
Your daughters had fallen asleep and were in the car. The two of you were outside conversing. "When can I see you again?" Miguel asked.
"You mean like when is our daughter's next playdate?" you asked not sure how you felt about meeting with Miguel alone.
"I was kind of hoping we could have a playdate," he said. You felt heat rise to your cheeks and ears. That voice of his always made the thing he said sound so forbidden but maybe this time it was intended.
"Maybe next week? I'm usually free on Wednesdays," you said.
"Okay it's a date, I'll text you, looking forward to it," Miguel said before getting in his car.
"It's a date," you whispered to yourself with the dumbest smile on your face. you turned around and did a little victory dance forgetting that Miguel was still in fact, right there.

Reiner holds his daughter like she's made of glass, swaying her so gently you could barely notice he's moving. His hands are firm underneath her small body, his arm supporting her head perfectly; the first time he held her you knew he'd be the softest father a child could ask for. The best father you could ask for your child.
His voice was low as he murmured a song. It was late and you were both tired, and yet, there he was, doing his best — but not to help, no. "I'm not helping, I'm her father. It's my job too," he said once. "And how would I not want to spend time with her? I love her."
You expected him to be a good dad, sure. You saw how he cared for Gabi, for Falco, for his mom and for you, too. But it's always different when the responsibility is 24/7, when you have to be there, even if you don't really want to. And he was terrified during your pregnancy. Terrified of not being enough, or being too much, of pressuring your baby or making them feel like they're not enough; terrified of being like his own father.
Looking at him, you knew those fears hadn't disappeared. After all, he still holds your daughter like she's made of glass. In the years to come, you'd still see that feather-like, love filled touch when he holds her hands during her first steps, when he brushes her hair before school, when he checks her temperature when she gets sick, when he hugs her after a heartbreak.
When she finally sleeps in his arms, Reiner's reluctant to put her in her little crib. But you wave at him from the door, and he knows he's needed in his bed too, to hold you in his arms and rest. A few years ago, he'd get offended if anyone told him this would be his future, that he'd have a future at all. He'd feel mocked. Why promise him a good life, when he didn't want life at all? And yet, here he is. Looking at you, he knows things don't get easier. He just doesn't have to go through them alone. And that's enough. His life is good because it's enough and he has the rest of it to go through.
"Sorry I took so long." He whispers to you, trying not to wake your daughter. "Let's get you to bed too, mama."
A few minutes later, you're lying underneath the blankets, warm in your husband's embrace. And looking at his hand around your waist and his leg carefully tucked between yours, you notice something.
Reiner holds you like you're made of glass too.

MINORS/AGELESS BLOGS DNI
One Year Earlier...
Miguel glanced up to see Gabi rehearsing her lines, her brows scrunched together in deep concentration. She’s been practicing for months now, and even though it was only a few lines of dialogue, it meant everything to her.
"You're going to do great, mija," Miguel reassured his daughter. Gabi looked up, her warm, brown eyes glowing as she smiled sheepishly.
"Do you really think so, Papá?” she beamed. Miguel's wife, Mari, gave him a gentle smile as he looked at Gabi in the rearview mirror.
"I don't think so…I know so,” he smiled confidently. Gabi giggled as she gripped her notebook. Mari and Miguel exchanged warm glances before he suddenly pumped the brakes. Everyone in the car lurched forward as Miguel threw up one of his hands, the driver in front of him suddenly stopped.
"Hijo de puta-it's like nobody knows how to drive these days," he scoffed [Son of a bitch]. Mari pinched the back of his hand, shifting her wide eyed glance between him and Gabi.
"Miguel," she whispered loudly. His lips tightened as he cleared his throat.
"Don't repeat the first part of my sentence, Gabi. ¿Tú entiendes, mija?" the large man asked [Do you understand, my daughter?]. The young girl nodded fervently.
"Sí Papá," she said as she folded her hands in her lap [Yes, Papa]. He gave a firm nod before gently pressing on the gas again. The family hummed along to Gabi's favorite soundtrack as they waited in the drop-off line. The young girl sighed as she stuffed her notebook into her bag.
“Papá…are you coming tonight?” she asked. Miguel frowned as he pulled up to the curb.
“I’ll do my best, mija,” he said with a weary grin. Gabi frowned as she tugged on her red hat.
“Okay,” she sighed. Before Miguel could reply, she already opened the door and hopped out.
"Have a great day, Gabi!" Mari smiled and waved.
"Bye Mamá! Bye Papá!” she said as she waved back.
"See you tonight, pumpkin!" Miguel called. He and Mari smiled as their daughter slipped into the crowd of children, her long ponytail swishing beneath her wool hat. They watched until she safely made it inside. Miguel immediately switched to a different playlist, his wife giggling softly.
"I'm sorry, but I can only handle so much Encanto," he sighed while shifting his car into drive. His heart leapt as Mari wrapped her hand around his and brushed her thumb over his knuckles.
"It's okay-it’s not like we've heard it at least five-thousand times," she winked. Miguel chuckled. His beloved sat back in her seat as she tapped her fingers to the beat of the song. He raised a brow when she sighed.
"What's on your mind, hermosa?" Miguel asked. Mari pursed her lips. He bit the inside of his cheek and gently squeezed her hand. "I know that look. Come on, you can tell me," Miguel said softly. His wife shifted in her seat.
"Are you really going to show up to Gabi's play tonight?" Mari asked. His smile fell as a pang reverberated inside his chest. Miguel knitted his brows together.
"What do you mean? Of course I will," he said with an uneasy voice.
"From start to finish?" she asked in a serious tone. He sighed before letting his hand slip back to the steering wheel.
"I'll do my best," Miguel replied. Mari frowned as she took another deep breath.
"Miguel...you've been 'doing your best' for a long time, and even then you rarely show up to her events," she said. He clenched his jaw.
"Mari, you know I have to work. How else am I going to afford paying for her school?" Miguel said. Mari paused.
"I know, cariño...but she misses her Papá," she said. Miguel's heart sank at his wife's words. He inhaled deeply as he gripped the steering wheel.
"And our house? I don't want Gabi growing up in a rough neighborhood," he explained. Mari nodded with a solemn expression.
"I think we make enough money between your teaching and my research," she said. Miguel sighed.
"I just...I want to make sure she has the life I always dreamed of when I was her age," he said. Mari gently rested her hand on his thigh as they pulled up to a stoplight. Miguel hesitantly glanced over, his heart softening when he saw his wife's warm expression.
"You already have…but now you need give her the life she needs. And that includes you being in the picture more often,” she said. Miguel's throat tightened as he gave a slow nod. Come to think of it, he was been more involved in his job more than any other part of his life…his family included. When was the last time he even went out with them. Miguel cleared his throat.
"I...I’ll make sure to be there for her more. Starting tonight," he said with a firm resolve. Mari beamed as she leaned over and pressed a warm kiss to his lips. Miguel sighed and smiled as he cupped her face. A sudden honk pulled them from their embrace.
"Ah, idiota," he huffed and shook his head [Idiot]. The large man chuckled as his wife pinched his arm.
"You really need to tone down on your language," she scolded playfully.
"Sí, querida," he said while batting his lashes [Yes, dear]. Mari laughed as they pulled up to the Natural Science building. Miguel unbuckled his seatbelt and captured his wife's lips in a soft kiss. She squeaked as he splayed a hand on her side, a noise he always adored. He melted into the kiss, letting his lips linger for a few more seconds before parting.
"Te amo mucho, mi paloma," Miguel smiled and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear [I love you very much, my dove]. Mari cooed and cupped his face.
"Te amo..." he laughed as she kissed all over his face between each word. "...mucho mucho mucho mucho mucho!" Mari said before pecking his lips. Miguel chuckled and squeezed her waist. She slipped out of the car and traded places with him.
"Gabi and I will come by and pick you up since you plan on getting out on time tonight," Mari said as she buckled in. He nodded before kissing his wife on the cheek.
“Sounds great. Have a good day, cariño,” he murmured softly [honey]. Mari smiled and pecked his lips.
“Have a great day, hermoso,” she winked [handsome]. Miguel chuckled as his wife closed the door. He watched as she drove off, the red brake lights glowing in the sheet of flurries. The professor shivered before making his way inside the massive building. He knew he had a hefty load of Modules to grade and exams to oversee, but he wasn’t going to let any of that stop him from being there for Gabi tonight.
He was going to give her the life she needed.
Present Day…
“Hey…hey!” the Uber driver raised his voice. You shot up in your seat, your head throbbing as you blinked and looked around. The car hummed as you stared at the glowing doors to your dormitory. The driver impatiently drummed his fingers on the steering wheel.
“That’ll be $35.89,” he droned. You wrinkled your nose.
“For a few blocks?” you asked. The driver shot you an unamused expression. You sighed as you pulled out your phone. After you paid and stepped inside the building, you felt your heart sink into the pit of your stomach. The shock was starting to fade into a sick, heavy feeling inside your chest. You took a shaky breath as you made your way down the hall.
You gripped the key to your dorm as your hands shook wildly. You jumped when a tall, lanky figure suddenly shot up from your couch right as you opened the door.
“Gwendy? That you?” Hobie groaned as he squinted his eyes. You clenched your jaw.
“Oh, great. Just what I fucking need right now!” you snapped as you slammed the door behind you. Hobie yawned and stretched his long, wiry arms above his head while you stomped into the kitchen.
“Rough night?” he asked. You glared at him before yanking the fridge door open. You snatched a can of beer and slammed the door shut. Hobie watched with raised brows as you guzzled it down, the carbonation scratching against your dry throat. You wiped your mouth and gasped for air, the Brit still staring at you with wide eyes.
“What?!” you barked. Hobie raised his hands up as he slipped off the couch. Bitter tears pricked at the corners of your eyes as you gulped down the rest of your beer. You jumped when he appeared next to you, his thumbs hooked over his jean pockets.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Hobie asked, his voice softer than usual. Your hand squeezed the empty can as you laughed caustically.
“Oh, yeah, like you would be any help,” you spat. Hobie’s frown deepened as tears suddenly spilled down your cheeks. Embarrassment quickly flooded into every inch of your body as you stumbled back, nearly slamming yourself against the fridge.
“Hey, hey take it easy,” he said as he helped steady you, one hand gently resting on your hip and the other on your upper arm. He tilted his head down to meet at your eye level. “Just breathe with me, yeah?” he said. You nodded, your heart rate slowing as you slowly inhaled and exhaled with him. Hobie kept his palm on your waist as he rubbed your arm. “Feel better?” he asked. You sighed.
“A little,” you said before nearly tripping over your feet. Hobie hooked his arms beneath yours, supporting your body with his lean frame.
“Let’s have a seat, yeah?” he suggested. You puffed out a breath of hot air before nodding. Hobie slung one of your arms over his shoulder as he helped you over to the couch. You gagged as you fell onto one of the cushions, acid burning your esophagus. “Easy there, love,” he murmured as he rubbed your upper back. You shook as you leaned over, your head spinning as your chest was torn in the riptides of heartbreak over and over again.
“He-he used me, Hobie,” you violently sobbed. “Used me as a stand-in for his dead wife or girlfriend or some shit,” you shivered. His hand stiffened against your spine as you choked.
“Who used you?” he asked, his voice laced with tension. You sniffed and wiped your eyes.
“M-Miguel,” you cried. You could hear every muscle in his body tense as he gritted his teeth.
“That fuckin’ twat,” Hobie growled lowly. Your head shot up, eyes widening when you saw his eyebrows furrow and nostrils flare. Your bottom lip trembled before you suddenly lunged forward, wrapping your arms around his thin frame.
“I-I was so stupid,” you hiccupped. Hobie shook his head as he gently wrapped his arms around you, his hand stroking your back as you cried onto his shoulder. “I shouldn’t have gone into it expecting that he’d feel the same way…especially since he was probably thinking of his wife while we were-” your hands gripped at the back of his ripped t-shirt as you cut yourself off. “Fucking stupid, stupid, stupid,” you scowled.
“Oi, look at me,” Hobie drawled. You slowly pulled your head up, your eyes red and puffy as he looked down at you with a gentle frown. “Y’not stupid, y’hear me?” he said firmly. You blinked away a few more tears.
“Yes, I am!” you sobbed. Hobie cupped his hand beneath your chin, tilting your head up to meet his gaze again.
“No, y’not. You didn’t know a thing about what he was doin’,” he said. Your heart fluttered for a second, your mouth suddenly feeling a bit dry. Your hands found their way to his puffy wicks as you pulled his head down, crashing your lips against his. Hobie gasped quietly before gently pushing you away.
“Hobie, please,” you begged as your hands fell to his sharp shoulders. He frowned and shook his head.
“(Y/N), this really isn’t what you need right now. Trust me,” he said. Your face glowed with heat as you balled your fists against his sleeves.
“Please! I-I need this-need you,” you gulped. Hobie cupped your face with his hand, his calloused thumb stroking over your cheek.
“I’m right here, love. But I’m not going to let you repeat what he’s done to you,” he said sternly. You looked at him silently before a bitter taste filled your mouth. You frowned before you parted your lips, vomit spilling all over his shirt and pants. You coughed and sputtered as he patted your back, his expression unchanged as you emptied your stomach across his lap. You sniffed, hands still clawing at his sleeves as he sighed.
“C’mon, love. Let’s get ourselves cleaned up,” he said. Your eyelids began to droop as you sank into the couch. The last thing you heard was your name falling from his lips before you drifted into a deep sleep.

ooo~, how about a postwar Levi and Reader fic where they live together and secretly love each other but they are afraid to confess. they don't even know how. maybe they go out on a "date" (aka just walking around town in Marley, shopping, going to the park and secretly admiring each other) andddd... I literally have no idea 😬 I'm sorry, I tried
A/N: I love this <3 It sounds so cute! I’m pretty sure that Levi spends his time with Gabi, Falco, and Onyankopon after he loses the use of his legs so I put them in here. I hope this is good enough for your request. And I'm sorry it took so long, I've had a lot of requests and not a lot of time to write them. Thanks!
Dates in Marley
Tumblr media
You and Levi sat together, eating the breakfast that Gabi and Falco made. They were often impudent brats, as Levi described them, but you found them to be friendly enough. You jolted every time the door to your shared house opened. It was always Gabi and Falco (sometimes Onyankopon to apologize for the intrusion) and each time, you let them in. They all seemed to care about Levi just as much as you did, making him breakfast in bed and teasing him a little too much about his condition.
He pretended to hate the banter, but if they didn’t visit for a few days, he’d ask where they were.
“Levi,” Falco exclaimed, sitting with you two, “tell us again—what was the scariest abnormal titan you faced? Other than Zeke and Eren, of course.”
Levi glared at him, rolling his eyes. “I hate repeating myself.”
“Just tell us!” Gabi exclaimed.
You listened in carefully, excited to hear about his war stories whenever he was willing to tell them. When he looked at you, listening intently, he sighed in defeat. “Zeke was the worst titan I went up against. I already told you. It took three tries to kill him.”
“Okay, but what about another titan? One we don’t know?” Gabi pressed.
Levi rolled his eyes. “There was one… significantly annoying one. Rod Reiss—he was bigger than the Colossus Titan, and he only ever crawled around. He was too big and his legs were too weak. But,” he paused, glancing at you to see your excited face, “when he arrived at the Orvud District, he had rubbed off his ribs and face. His titan organs spilled out and it was disgusting.”
Falco shuddered in revulsion, sliding his plate of waffles away. “I lost my appetite…”
Gabi, on the other hand, seemed enthralled. Her eyes were wide and she grinned, nodding excitedly. “And? How’d you kill him?”
“My squad, at the time, cut off his hands. Eren shoved gunpowder barrels into his mouth and he exploded.”
Your jaw dropped. “What?!”
He nodded. “Yeah. We managed to kill him, though.”
Gabi and Falco spoke to each other excitedly, discussing the event they just learned about.
There was a knock at the door and you sprung from your seat, opening it. Onyankopon greeted you with a smile. “Good morning, Y/n. May I come in?”
“Of course! Gabi and Falco are just over there—”
“Actually, I wanted to speak with you.” He pulled you aside and Levi’s head snapped back to the two of you before looking back at the kids. Onyankopon smiled. “Levi hasn’t been outside in a while. I was hoping you could take him to the shopping district while I take Gabi and Falco out to the fair. He needs some time away from them, I think.”
You smiled, your cheeks turning pink. “I mean, I’d love to go shopping with him, but I’m afraid it’ll be awkward.”
“Why’s that?” he teased. Onyankopon knew about your feelings for Levi. You talked about him far too much and when Onyankopon asked, you told him how you felt. “I’m kidding,” he said, nudging you as your face turned red, “just take Levi out. Maybe he feels the same.”
You scoffed. “I doubt it…”
“Go.”
When you turned around, Levi was staring at you from the table. He quickly looked away and gave his plate to Falco so he’d wash it. You sighed, approaching Levi. “Hey, let’s go shopping.”
“What?”
“You haven’t been outside in forever. C’mon, it’ll be fun.”
With little protest, he rolled his chair to you. You grabbed the handles to the back of it and started pushing him out the door. “What are we shopping for?” He asked, looking up at you.
“Whatever we want.” He grunted, squinting as you left the house. The sun shone down on you and you stared up at the fluffy clouds against the blue sky. You smiled. “See, Levi? It’s a beautiful day out. We’ll have fun.”
“Right.”
You grinned and sped up, hurrying to the market. A big fountain made of marble leaked water out of the top. Shopping stands were everywhere and you couldn’t help but inhale the smell of lobster. “So, what do you want to do first? Clothes shopping? Food?”
He sighed. “Let’s go look at the clothes, I guess.” You rolled him to a stand with dresses, suits, and other fancy clothes. You didn’t miss the smile that appeared on his face when you picked up an elegant-looking piece of clothing and held it to your body.
“How do I look?”
Levi cleared his throat, looking away. “Good. You look,” he paused, his eyes flickering to you. “You look really good.”
Your face turned red and you put it back on the hanger. “Do you see any clothes you like?”
He thought for a moment. “If they have a suit that matches that.” He replied, pointing to the article of clothing you had. “I like the colors…” he mumbled, but the pink on his cheeks didn’t lie.
You smiled and found a suit that matched the colors of the clothes you found. Levi gave you a brief nod, biting back a smile as you grinned and bought the clothes. He shoved some money in your pocket and you pretended not to notice. You had to or else he’d insist on paying you.
Next, you saw a stand offering ice cream. “Do you want some ice cream?”
“God, no. It’s so cold… Food is meant to be hot.”
“Alright,” you mumbled, chuckling at his pickiness. “Oh!” You pointed at a small shop with a teacup out front. “It looks like they sell tea. Do you want to go there?”
He looked up at you. “You realize tea isn’t the only thing I like, right? I have hobbies. I have things I could be doing.”
“But you like tea, so we’re going to the tea shop,” you chirped, rolling him inside. He groaned and rolled his eyes, but you didn’t miss the way they lit up when all of the different aromas flooded his senses. He looked around, trying not to make it obvious that he found the shop fascinating. “Oh, they have samples—” He rolled his chair away before you could finish speaking and tried a cup of Marleyan tea.
You followed him with a smile. “Do you like it?”
Levi looked up at you. “It’s… alright. Black tea is better.” His eyes lingered on some teacups and you followed his gaze.
“Do you want those?”
“No.” He’s a poor liar. You smiled softly as his head turned but his eyes stayed on the cups. You picked up two.
“Well, I want them.” You paid for the cups and they were wrapped and placed delicately in a box, then a bag. You smiled and handed them to Levi. His cheeks were tinted pink as he pulled a cup out and examined it. You tilted your head. “Is there a reason why you like fancy teacups so much?”
He hesitated as his hand traced over the simple design. “When I was growing up, we didn’t have teacups.”
“You’re that old?” You teased.
“No!” He snapped. “I had poor living conditions. But when I finally got my hands on a real teacup, I couldn’t believe it. So, I held it,” he picked up the cup in the strange way he always did, struggling a bit with his missing fingers, “and drank from it like that.”
You smiled and rested your chin on his head, looking down at the cup in his lap. “Then I’ll find more fancy teacups for you.”
His smile grew a little. This time, he didn’t suppress it.
“Where to next?” You asked as you left the shop.
He was staring past the market, at a park with a few small benches that looked out at the sea. You grinned and took him there, sitting with him. Seagulls squawked over you two as you sat in comfortable silence, holding the empty cups and watching the waves crash.
“You were right,” Levi murmured. You tilted your head and looked at him. His silver eyes reflected the sun so perfectly—you could stare at them all day. “It was fun.”
You grinned and nudged him. “See? I told you, Marley can be fun.”
“It wasn’t Marley that was fun,” he muttered, clenching his fist. “It was you. You were fun. You took me clothes shopping and to a stupid tea shop and to this stupid, amazing park.” He returned your gaze. “And here I am, with stupid, amazing you.”
You couldn’t fight the blush that came to your face as you tried to respond, but nothing came out. Levi looked out at the sea again. “It’s pretty—the sea.”
“Isn’t it?” You replied, still processing his compliment(?) from his last statement.
His hand rested over yours. “I want to look at the sea with you more often.”
“Me too,” you murmured, scooting closer.
“The sea looks prettier when you’re here,” he said, turning to you with pink cheeks. “Y/n, I want to come here every day with you.”
Your eyes widened. “What?”
“I like,” he paused, trying to get the words out. “I love you. And I know I don’t show it and I know I roll my eyes and I’m rude, but I—”
You cut him off by pressing your lips against his gently. It only lasted for a moment, but God, he could have sworn he saw his entire life flash before his eyes, every moment leading up to you.
And from the distance, you were fairly sure you heard two kids exclaiming and laughing when you kissed, along with a too-polite man trying to calm them down.

(reblogs are greatly appreciated, it helps get my content out there! if you guys like what you see, please reblog it too <:D)
idk if this has been done before, but imagine in an alternate universe where miguel visits gabriella in the sibling universe where he's happy but dead (for the story's sake, he was dead ever since gabi was a baby, ok, sorry if you don't like me breaking canon y'all) and... she doesn't remember him because it's been so long, like,
papá? — miguel o'hara angst drabble
Tumblr media
"briella..." he called out the name he gave her, the name the variant of him gave her. he feels like he's known that name all his life, as if his life revolved around that little girl named that: gabriella. but she's nothing more than a mere stranger, she's not his daughter. she's a daughter of miguel o'hara, a genius geneticist at the mega corporation alchemax—but he's not that guy. but like she could tell the difference, right? same hair, same eyes, same way they crinkle when he smiles, and same way his voice rings out and lingers in the air when he laughs.
he's the guy who raised, loved, played with, comforted, supported, and... made her—but the man before her wasn't that guy.
he smiled, but not because he was home or because it's been a long day and all he wants to do is hold his daughter—no, it's because... she's here. right here, right now, she is here. she is real, and she's his daughter. she'd believe he's her dad, right? how could she... tell the difference? simple, she can't.
it'd been almost a decade since her father's death, and... seeing miguel now... she's so lost. "who are you?" she asked him as she tilted her head to the side while clutching the soccer ball the man returned to her prior him calling out her name. she was crinkling her eyebrows together, trying to figure out who he is, recognize him in some way. miguel chuckled, unsure of how to break the news to her—though it's partially true at face value. "i'm your... your papá, mija." "papá?" she asked him with a voice that carried genuine confusion. he soon realized, then, that... this universe isn't the one he sought at the beginning. this was a completely different timeline, with different events having played out at different times.
earth 928-c; a happier version of miguel had a family, but he never lived long enough to be a part of it.
his spouse never found out he was killed, his daughter lived for nearly 10 years without a father... and she was never told anything about him.
hurried footsteps running over to the little girl looking askance at the larger man looming over her, with the man's once delightful face looking crestfallen and dejected as a worried voice called gabriella's name. "gabriella, mija!" they exclaimed, running over to her and gently pulling her away from the big man. the voice was asking her if she was okay, if the man did anything to her—chiding her all the while as well, scolding her for talking to strangers, which she was told never to do. "but, he said he was my papá... is this true?" she asked you with an innocent, hushed voice—and your world came crashing down.
you looked up at the big man, who looked... like a ghost, a phantom; he was the man who left you to raise your daughter with him 10 years ago. he left without another word, another peep from him in those 10 years you struggled to get by and raise your daughter the best you could. you took gabriella's hand and looked away from the man, muttering that the man must've mistaken her for someone else. "let's go, mija—" "wait." the man pleaded as he reached out for gabriella, for you as well.
gabriella's soccer ball accidentally fell from her grasp, and the man picked it up, handing it back to her. "listen, please, i—" "no, i don't know you." you said with a hardened tone as you and gabriella had your backs turned to him, not witnessed the contortions of his hopeless face. "have a... good day, sir, we'll be leaving now. c'mon, gabi." you urged gabriella as she turned her big, bright, hazel eyes back up at miguel's very own—they were of the exact same color, it was just that his was beginning to water and fill with tears, tears that he could not explain to her why they were beginning to appear, to even explain that all he wanted to do was to see her.
but you don't always get what you want in life; especially not in a life that isn't really yours.

Levi Ackerman x M. Reader [Pt.3]
Tumblr media
After reading a Levi fanfic, I got inspo to make a prequel to my Hero two-shot...now three-shot (technically). This is what lead up to parts 1 and two.
Want more from me? Masterlist 2
Here are Part One and Part Two.

⚔Love, Sweat, and Tears⚔ (AOT or SNK)
Warning(s): Fluff, cursing (I think? I don't remember), long, low-key angsty toward the end
Levi just wants some tea, turns out he gets something a little sweet, too.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
"Where are we going?"
"They say this place has the best tea around here, you like tea, right?"
Levi glared at the outside of the building they stopped at.
RoyalTea.
He was still deciding on what he thought of the name.
The outside had a creamy purple color with white and gold painted accents in well-placed areas.
"Wanna go in?" Gabi, one of his caretakers asked.
"They better have good tea."
"It's been open for a year exactly today. But apparently it's very popular," she wheeled him inside.
The second they were inside, they were hit with the scents of different teas. Though every individual smell complemented each other.
But the interior was what really caught their attention.
"Whoa...I don't think I've ever seen a shop this clean looking..."
Levi liked this place already, this place was anti-dirt.
Customers were scattered across the shop, talking to each other over white tables, sitting in window seats, and girls were crowded at the counter table.
They didn't look like tea drinkers, so why were they looking so eager?
"It looks like this place is taken over by brats."
"Hello, sorry for the wait. I got the blend you wanted in your preferred amount."
Levi couldn't see who the voice belonged to over the throng of ladies as he got closer to the counter to hopefully be able to order.
"Yes, [Name], this is perfect! Thank you."
You laugh, "It's no problem. You, ladies, might want to start buying in bulk, though. Your usual order of two pouches can last about a week just between 4 people per bag. But you come here every other day ordering more."
"Yeah, we just love tea so much! And we just want to support our favorite shop owner," one leaned in.
"We should go, customer service is shitty here," Levi muttered.
"Sorry, Levi."
"Thank you, I appreciate that. But ladies, would you mind moving since you've paid already? There are customers behind you."
"Oh."
They turned to the two dryly, glaring at them before leaving the store altogether.
"Sorry about that, some of my customers can get that way! You look like you two must be new. Would you like to hear the options of tea I have? I also have pastries if you're interested."
Levi dragged his gaze back to you and he swore he stopped breathing.
Who was this beautiful man? [Name] he heard? He was suddenly much more interested.
"Sir?"
"What?"
"Do you need some time to think about it?"
"No. What do you have?"
You began to rattle off all the types of tea you possessed, even some that Levi's never heard of, which you explained when noticing any confusion.
Usually, he didn't like when people talked so much...but he found he didn't mind when you did it.
Privileges of finding you pretty, he guessed.
He stealthily observed you, from your jaw to your white dress shirt to the beginning of your waist until the counter blocked the rest of the view.
After he ordered, since Gabi didn't want anything, you smiled.
"Want any sugar or honey with it?"
Levi cringed, "What kind of moron adds shit to their tea?"
You only chuckle at his language, "It actually isn't too bad if it's done right."
"Nothing belongs in tea," he glared.
You rang them up, "Three dollars–and Mr. Levi, I'm sure I could change your mind. I'm very convincing. I'm pretty good at what I do," you gestured to his cup, "Just see for yourself."
After he was settled, he took a sip and almost groaned at its taste.
He was coming back here.
And he did.
Again. And again.
Until it was a regular thing.
"Welcome back, Levi."
That smile was lethal, did you not know that?
"Hey."
At this point, it'd been months and Levi became a [Name] addict.
"Same thing?"
"Yeah."
After serving him, you prepped some tea leaves to grind.
He watched as you work, enveloping the quiet atmosphere.
"I'm so happy I have this place."
"Hm?"
"I uh...When I was a kid, things came easy. So they didn't feel rewarding...until I bought this place and grew a business from the ground up...It taught me how to work, it taught me discipline, it taught me that an easier life doesn't mean it's better," you laugh to yourself, "Sorry, I know you don't want to hear this."
"That why you opened this place? To work hard after having an easy life?" he subtly signaled he did.
You snickered, "I know that seems backward, but yeah. I know it's selfish since there are people out there who'd kill to have the easy life I had...but...I wasn't being fed, or stimulated, I had nothing to wake up for. Then I met a military police officer—a good one—and he--he worked so hard, he had a passion for what he did. I wanted that. I wanted to know what it was like to have a reason to live, to serve others. So I left an easy life behind for a life of work...but it was worth it. It's so freeing to live this way. I was never free when it was easy."
After that day, Levi realized he crushed on you, hard. He couldn't talk to you straight after that.
You leaned on an elbow behind the counter one afternoon, "Hey, Levi. You look really handsome today--not that you don't always look handsome, of course. But today seems a little different."
His cheeks flushed pink, "I-I didn't do much brat, just...changed my hair a little..."
And one evening, you got bold.
"Hey Levi, can I get your opinion as an avid tea drinker? I'd feel like you'd be a better judge than me who leans more toward alcohol."
"Wh-what do you mean?"
"I've been testing a new tea brew, but I need another opinion before I decide to add it to the menu or not. Can you try it for me?"
"Sure."
"It's still in my apartment upstairs, I'll take you."
"[Name], I'm in a wheelchair, I can't go up the stairs on my own."
"I know, here."
"Pu-put me down!" he flushed red.
"But you can't walk..."
"You could've just helped me up. The other leg is still fine."
"It's faster."
It became regular for you two to hang out in your apartment above the shop after closing, and one night, you kissed. Neither of you knew how it happened, but it couldn't be taken back.
And once you finally get Levi comfortable with the thought, you decide to try being a couple.
And Levi needed time to get used to the foreign type of relationship.
He had to get used to someone smiling at the sight of him.
He had to get used to someone's lips brushing against his skin.
He had to get used to someone treating him like a prince.
Someone celebrating his birthday that he didn't think was important.
He had to get used to someone remembering the little things.
Someone with an open ear to listen to the feelings he hides within his depths.
Someone saying, "I love you, Levi."
And him saying it back.
And after three years of dating, he had to get used to living with someone he was in a relationship with.
Had to get used to full, warm meals from morning to night.
Someone restoring him back to health when he's sick.
Someone soothing him from the nightmares, someone showing him how to sleep better. And waking to another warm body in a bed he shares (which he had to force, for a while you'd let him have the bed to himself in respect).
He had to get used to finding more reasons to smile, he had to get used to making someone laugh and smile with ease.
He had to get used to someone cleaning for him, someone who's very stubborn with what they allow him to clean, "I know you like to clean baby, but let me do it, let me take care of you."
He had to get used to someone cutting his hair for him.
Someone who didn't judge him for his background, no matter what.
"Levi, you're practicing your writing?" you leaned over his shoulder.
"Habit."
"There's nothing wrong with where you're from. Because without that place, you wouldn't have become the Levi I love now. So don't feel like you have to hide it or be ashamed," you kissed the curve of his neck.
He had to get used to someone being attentive to him and his habits and behaviors. Someone knowing him better than he knows himself.
He had to get used to being protected and fought for, although he still likes to feel like he can protect, too.
"Levi! Never do that again, do you know how worried I was?" you growled, running a hand through your hair, "I swear you want to make me go more insane for you than I already have...Do you not understand that I would shed blood for you if I had to? Please don't take me lightly."
He had to get used to someone reading to him, someone tucking him in.
Someone making him try new things, like sugar in his tea. He couldn't believe it.
Someone...calling him beautiful...
Someone bathing him and joining him sometimes just for the pure connection of intimacy.
Someone that didn't need to have sex with him to connect with him.
Someone that will ask him how he's feeling, and happily fill the silence when he doesn't want to divulge.
Someone who buys him whatever books he wants. Spoils him and works hard to earn back the money spent.
Someone showing their love in physically any way they could, showing what it was like to have a gentle touch.
Someone who won't let him go to bed angry.
"Please, don't leave me, [Name]!"
"What?"
"I-I'm sorry, I do need you! And—And not just because you take care of me," Levi looked up in desperation, tears welling up in his eyes, he regretted every nasty word he'd just said to you.
You look like a broken-hearted puppy, "It really hurt, Levi."
"I know...I know, I...I'm not good with this 'feelings' stuff. I don't know how to tell you things, I don't know how to show you I care about you. But I'm tired of people leaving me! And you're the only person who hasn't, I don't want to be the reason why you finally do. So please," he approaches you with shaking hands, his face burrowing into your torso as he grips the back of your shirt. "Don't leave me...Please. I love you, I love you. I'm sorry."
(But he didn't tell you the real reason he blew up at you that night...because of his own hidden thoughts...)
He had to get used to someone who cried from his tears, someone holding him tight, keeping silent about the tears he knew they felt.
He had to get used to having a reason to keep going.
He...had to get used to you...
The one he loved more than anyone.
The one he wanted for the rest of his life...
...and the last person he'd want to see at the end of it.

Catching up on some of the things I've been tagged in. Some of these are very old. So sorry. I'm crap.
Fic author interview! I was tagged by the fantastic @lynne-monstr
No-pressure tagging: @pangzi @foxofninetales @merinnan @killerandhealerqueen @strandedchesspiece @thesilversun @silver-colour
How many works do you have on AO3?
266 as of now
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
1,467,370 words however some of those words are on collaborative fics. I don't know how to filter out the ones I wrote by myself but it's well over the 1,000,000 mark and that makes me happy
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Unleashed  (MCU, Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers) - 801 kudos
Visible to All But Me - (DMBJ, Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling) - 666 kudos (ehehe 😈)
The Truth About Cats, Dogs and Penguins - (Men's Hockey RPF. Evgeni Malkin/Sidney Crosby) - 621 kudos
In which Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes are surprisingly capable parents - (MCU, Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers) - 530 kudos
Not The Russian Way- (The Man From UNCLE movie, Ilya Kuryakin/Napoleon Solo/Gaby Teller) - 516 kudos
I find it fascinating that a DMBJ fic is in my top 5. The other fics are all pretty old and in large and popular fandoms. I think it was just good timing in that I posted when a lot of people who have since moved on to other fandoms were into DMBJ off the back of Ultimate Note airing.
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try! I think it's just polite to at least say thank you. Occasionally I do forget of miss one though.
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I don't really do sad or angsty endings
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
Yeah, pretty much all of them.
7. Do you write crossovers?
Very rarely. I think all my crossovers have been co-written with other people.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not hate exactly, but somone once accused me of plagiarism because I posted a fic with vaguely similar themes to one of theirs. Luckily for me this was back in the LJ days where there was a comm specifically for reviewing accusations of plagiarism where independent people would review both fics. Of course they ruled in my favour but it was really fucking upsetting at the time.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I have, but I prefer not to.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have! Someone translated one of my MCU fics into Chinese which made me very happy.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yes, a bunch of times! It can be really fun if you get along well with the people you're writing with.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
That's like asking me what my favourite fandom is. My favourite ship is whatever ship I am into at the time.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
RIP my au for The Untamed where Lotus Pier was a hotel that famous musician Lan Wangji came to stay in while he was on tour.
15. What are your writing strengths?
Probably dialogue or soft domestic fluff
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Description. A beta reader recently commented that in one of my fics I hadn't actually described what anyone looks like. I just want them to talk and kiss, okay?
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Not full dialogue, no, but now that I've started writing in Chinese fandoms I think there are some words that can be used. Generally only terms of address, though. Like someone calling someone 'laoban'
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
I do still kind of want to write some Mysterious Lotus Casebook fic. At least one at any rate.
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written
Juxtaposition (DMBJ, Wang Pangzi/Wu Xie/Zhang Qiling)
I don't generally write AUs, and I definitely have never written anything close to this long before. It took me a year to write it and I am very proud of it.

An Unexpected Match XII
Pt. 1
DBF/DILF Miguel O’Hara x female reader
18+ Warning
Summary: What does Miguel have up his sleeve during this graduation vacation gift?🤔
OMG, I am so so so sorry that I haven’t updated in a while. I moved abroad so I’ve been adjusting these past weeks. Also this chapter is extremely long which was another reason for the delay. Another reason might be that I know this story only has a few chapters left before it’s over🥺 so I want to savor it more.
I apologize for any grammatical mistakes I missed.
Enjoy!💕

————————————————————————
Luckily you only were taking two classes for your last semester of college, as you were able to still keep high grades even though you were recovering from the accident.
Over the course of those weeks you did have to testify in court for the kidnapping and endangerment of Gabi and the attempted murder on you by Sofia. Although you kept your composure, you wouldn't deny that you were grinning from ear to ear to see her in an orange jump suite and cuffs looking miserable.
Today was your graduation and luckily you had healed enough that you weren't limping anymore and you could wear the heels you had bought months ago specifically for your graduation dress.
You looked in the mirror of the bathroom making sure your makeup, hair, and outfit stilled looked just as good as it did back at home. Though you were excited to finally get your degree with your piers your nerves were going through the roof. What you really wanted was to be at the graduation dinner with your boyfriend, daughter, brothers and best friend. You decided to still invite your parents, not being that cruel to not let them see you graduate. But you really didn't want to interact with them, which you knew sadly will not go your way. You feel bad for Miguel as he has no choice but to sit next to them. You hope your brothers were in between him and your father.
"You look fabulous!" You turned to see Stephanie as she walked into to the bathroom also wearing a dress with the cap and gown.
"You look amazing too, Steph!" You smile as you hug her before she checks herself in the mirror just like you had done. She took out her mascara she hid in her small purse as she touched up her eyelashes.
"Girl, I can't believe we're graduating! It's insane. You're going to work at Alchamex and I'm going to grad school here. Super excited for the next chapter in our lives! Especially for you girlie, I think I hear wedding bells in your near future." Stephanie smirked as she looked at you.
"First off, I don't know if I got into Alchamex yet. I should hear next week. And you really think he might propose?" Your cheeks turn pink as your smile widens to the thought of Miguel proposing.
"You're definitely getting that job. And I have this feeling. Like maybe sometime this summer he'll do it. Damn girl I don't think either one of us would have thought that one of us might be married before 25." Stephanie chuckled.
"Well, we don't know he's going to propose. But like it's not like it hasn't been talked about." You check the time on your phone as you take a deep breath before sighing nervously. "It's time to line up."
You and Stephanie line up, her one person a head of you. She turns around smiling both anxious and excited which you return before the announcer begins the commencement.
As you walked out on to the lawn and towards your seat you looked around in hopes to catch Miguel's gaze. Sadly you couldn't find him as the audience was far too large. You made it to your seat, sitting down while you listen to the speaker.
After some time had passed they finally begin to call out names as people begin to line up. Your heart begin to beat quicker as the line continues to get closer to the stage before you know it, you heard Stephanie's name being called as she walked on to the stage to receive her degree.
"Y/n L/N." Spoke out the announcer. You smiled  as you walked up on to the stage to receive your degree. The crowd cheered as they did for everyone. You hoped to have caught a glimpse of your people, but sadly you couldn't spot them.
After getting back to your seat you sit with jitters the rest of the commencement as you want to go see Gabi and Miguel.
After another two hours, finally the time came for everyone to reunite with their loved ones.
"Ahh we did it!" Said Stephanie as she holds up her degree which you join her in as you both scream in excitement. You both then make your way through the crowd to try and find your group. Of course it wasn't too hard as your 6'9" boyfriend stuck out from the crowd. You grab Stephanie's hand as you guide her towards the group. Once you got closer, Miguel's eyes locked on you as his smile widened.
You quickly get to him as he opens one of his arms wide, the other carrying Gabi who was wearing a matching colored dress to yours with a pretty headband. You wrap one of your arms around his waist.
"Mama! I saw you on the stage! I waved!"
"I wish I was able to see you, but there were just so many people. I love this dress. It's so cute." You smile as you caress her cheek.
"We match!" She smiled excitedly.
"We do! I love it." You smile at her lovingly.
"Ok ok, it's time for Papa to congratulate you now." Miguel chuckled as he leaned down and captured his plush lips with yours before pulling away. "Congratulations, mi amor."
"Congratulations y/n. Welcome to the real world." Said your older brother Jack as he came over with Stephanie by his side.
"Thanks Jack. So should we head out."
"Not yet. Mom and Dad want to see you real quick and congratulate you." Said Liam as he walked up to the group, followed by your parents. Even after your accident your relationship with them is still on thin ice. If they just accepted your relationship with Miguel then you would be more than happy to forgive them. However as they join the group their smiles falter as they glance over to Miguel.
"Congratulations sweetie, we're so proud of you. All that hard work really paid off." Said your mother as she tries to hug you which you awkwardly accept.
"Thanks." A half-smile was awkwardly placed on your lips. "I'm lucky I was able to finish this year." You couldn't help yourself from saying the snide comment.
"Well you understand our reason why." Added your father.
"And you understand why I'm going to continue to ignore you both."
"It's just ridiculous, it's so hard to attend local events because of-" your mother went off before she was interrupted by Miguel.
"It's getting close to our dinner reservation, so we're going to go." Miguel lost his smile as he stared down at your parents.
"Fine. Can we at least see you for dinner tomorrow or Sunday to celebrate?" Your mother offered. You sighed about to accept it, so that they'll be off you back off for a while, however before you could Miguel spoke up.
"Actually she won't be available this weekend." You looked up to him brows furrowed, curious to his response. He sighed before looking at you with a loving smile. "I was going to surprise you later with your gift, but you and I are going on a weekend vacation." Your eyes widen as a surprised smile replaces your awkward one.
"Can I ask where?" You chuckle.
"Sorry Cariño that's a surprise." Miguel chuckled as he kissed the side of your head.
"Well, we're going to leave." Said your Mother with an unamused expression as she and your father left. "Liam come on." She added.
"But I want to go out with them." Liam complained.
"Listen to your mother Liam." Added your father.
"Dad it's fine. I'll pay for him and drop him off." Offered Jack.
"Fine. Be back by 8." Your father said before catching up with your mother.
"Ok let's get these solemn faces some food and liquor to celebrate y/n and I graduating." Cheered Stephanie which made everyone smile and laugh as you all head to your designated cars to head to the restaurant.
Dinner with your brothers, best friend, and family to celebrate was great, but eventually it had to end as you all went on your way back home.
Miguel opened the front door, letting you go in first as you were carrying the sleeping Gabi. You both went upstairs as you helped change Gabi into her pjs before tucking her into bed. Both you and Miguel sit there on the bed gazing at her peaceful state.
"Is it possible to have her stay the way she is?" You whisper as you gently brush some of her hair away from her face.
"I wish there was a way." Miguel replied as he smiled down at her before placing a kiss to her forehead and standing up from the bed. After you repeated the gesture he held his hand out for you to take and help you off the bed, just out of kindness and for some contact with you.
You both walk back to your shared bedroom as you take a seat on the edge of the bed to rest for a second, as the exhaustion starts to take a toll on you. Miguel comes out of his closet, shirt unbutton, revealing his chiseled chest, which you couldn't help but glance at with a small blushing smile.
"You like what you see?" Miguel chuckled as he made his way over to you and sat next to you before putting your legs on his lap.
"I do."  You grin as you get on his lap, wrapping your arms around his neck. Miguel places his arms around you to bring you closer.
"Hey, I have something to tell you." Miguel smile was wide and infectious as you smiled back at him.
"What is it? It must be good if you're smiling like that."
"I got a call from Jess my colleague at work. She said you got the job."
Your face turns to surprise before smiling again. "Omg, no way. Really?! I thought I wasn't suppose to find out until next week?" You hug Miguel which makes you both fall onto the bed, both laughing. You ended up straddled on his lap. You leaned down and kissed him. While distracted he flipped you around on the bed so he was above you.
"I might have pulled some strings to get your response sooner. Jess said that your resume was phenomenal. Actually you were the top person out of the people selected." He said before leaning down to kiss you. "Now you are stuck with me." He added placing another kiss to your lips.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." You chuckle as you happily return his kiss, You wrap your arms around his neck to deepen it and savor the taste of his lips.
"We should get some rest we have to wake up early to catch our flight. And Gabriel is probably going to be here earlier than planned." Miguel sighed giving you one last kiss before laying next to you and pulling you against his side, resting your head on his chest. You turn your head to look up at him.
"Where are you taking me Mr. O'Hara?" You smile as you trace your finger over his chest and abs.
"Like I said before, it's a surprise, cariño. You will find out when we get there." Miguel chuckled from your teasing tone.
Your hand trail down his abdomen where you loosened his belt and pants, and lowering your hand into his boxers. A sigh escaped his lips as your wrapped your hand around his half-erect cock. You begin to move your hand, " will this convince you to tell me?" You batted your eye lashes at him, which made him chuckle lightly as he relaxed against your touch.
"Sorry hermosa. Not telling you. But you can continue with what you're doing though." Miguel whispered in your ear. You smile as your roll your eyes from his response. You lower his boxer so his now erect cock, dripping with pre-cum bounced out against his stomach. "You're lucky I've been so horny lately since I was only cleared this week to be able to have sex again." You chuckle as you straddle him, positioning him before you lowered yourself as you let out a moan. Miguel rest his hands on your hips as he begins to thrust up into you instantly hitting your sweet spot.
"It has been a very fun week since that check-up." Miguel chuckled as he let out a groan. Not being allowed to have sex for so long during your recovery, making each time this week even more sensational. As soon as the doctor had cleared you, both you and Miguel couldn't even make it back to the house, fucking on the sink in the private bathrooms in the hospital and once in the car in the garage before barely making it to the bedroom. Let's just say neither of you have had any rest this week.
You move your hips along with his. You throw your head back as you feel his tip hit against your cervix. "Fuck I missed feeling you so much. God you're still tight even though I've been fucking you non-stop this week."
Miguel's grip on your hips grew stronger as he fucked you faster, making the knot in your stomach grow tighter and release as you let out a breathy moan. "Miguel."
Your voice sent him over the edge, as he thrusted into you, spilling inside your inner walls. You collapsed onto his sweaty chest as he wrapped his arms around you, kissing your forehead before removing himself from you, earning a small moan from your lips. Of course your voice made his cock go hard again.
"Guess we're not getting any sleep tonight." He breathed out before thrusting back inside you.
——————-
It was the early morning hours of the next day, the sun not even out yet when you heard the doorbell ring. Both you and Miguel got up an hour prior to get ready and packed, barely running on two hours of sleep.
You go to Gabi's room as you go to her bedside and kneel down. "Hi baby bug. Tio Gabi is here. Papa and I are going to leave soon, do you want to say goodbye?" Your soft tone woke her as she rubbed one of her eyes trying to get the sleep out as she yawned nodding her head. You lift her out of the bed and walk out of the room. You smile as she rests her head against you, her eyes trying hard to stay open.
You walk down the steps towards the two brothers in the entry way where your two suitcases sat.
"Someone wanted to say goodbye." You say as you bring Gabi over to Miguel, who smiled lovingly at his daughter as he took her into in his arms and gave her a kiss to the cheek, "goodbye princesa. Mama and I will miss you so much. We'll see you on Monday." He gives her another kiss on her forehead. You then stood right next them as Gabi squirmed out of her father's hold as she wanted to go back in your arms.
You happily took her as you held her close to you as you gave her a kiss to her forehead. "Aw we'll miss you baby bug. If you ever miss us just ask Tio Gabriel to call us."
Miguel comes back inside the house after putting the bags in the hired car. "It's time to head to the airport."
You keep holding Gabi as you comb your fingers through her hair, which calmed her down when she felt anxious. "Ok baby bug, we have to go now. I'll miss you so much."
Gabi clung to you not wanting to leave your arms, which made your heart ache, making you not want to leave her.
"Come here mi pequeña sobrina. We'll have a fun weekend. We'll go to the movies, the park, and eat all the junk food we want." Gabriel said as you handed Gabi over to him. His words perked her ears and made her eyes widen with excitement. "Yay!"
Miguel rolled his eyes at his brother, not ready to have to deal with a sugar-high child when he comes back. But as long as his daughter was happy he would be happy.
After saying your last goodbyes you and Miguel enter the back seat of the car as it drives off towards the airport. The smooth ride plus the warmth of sitting right next to Miguel made your eyes grow heavy before closing.
What felt like only a minute later you feel lips pressed to your hand. "Wake up, mi vida. We're here." Your eyes open to see Miguel smiling down at you. You lift your head from his shoulder as you smile up at him. "Oops, I must have fallen back asleep." You chuckle. You both get out of the car. Eyes widened slightly shocked to not be in front of the airport drop-off but on the tarmac with a private jet 10 feet from where you stood.
"You ready, cariño?" Miguel placed a hand on your mid-lower back. You look up to him with a smile as you both walk towards the jet. When you entered you were amazed by the luxurious scene before you. Light tan leathered cushioned seats.
You find a seat by the window as you look outside the window, smiling as you begin to see the sunrise. Miguel sat in the chair in front of you. He extends his hand across the table to rest on top of yours.
"Is everything alright? You have a surprised look on your face."
" Everything is perfect. I guess it's a mixture of still waking up and coming to the realization that I'm on a private jet." You smile as you intertwine your hand with his.
"Ah I see. Well let's make it an amazing first time." He gestures for the flight attendant, who brings a bottle of Prosecco and two glasses. Once they were filled you clinked glasses and took a sip, neither of your eyes left the others.
Throughout the plan ride you still tried to convince Miguel to tell you where you were going. And every time he wouldn't tell you, only giving a toothy grin and a chuckle as he would say, "lo siento mi amor. Not happening."
In between that you both would have conversation either about Gabi and her changing schools next year, talking about you starting at Alchamex, or just random things on each others' mind. Plus a few fun activities in the bathroom.
Finally the time came that you would find out where you would be going, seeing the view from the window. However, Miguel, being sneaky had all the windows close so you couldn't see it. Your pout made his heart swoon as he gestured for you to come over and sit on his lap.
"You'll find out very soon." Miguel lightly took your chin as he kissed you. The kiss lasted a bit longer turning slightly heated, but before Miguel could get his tongue in your mouth you removed your lips from him earning a pout on his face, making you chuckle.
"Sorry Miggy. Not happening until I know where we're going." You press a quick kiss to his lips before getting off his lap and back to your seat. You grin mischievously at him knowing you've poked the bear who stares down at you with lust-filled eyes.
Another 20 minutes and the jet landed. You and Miguel got up and towards the now open door. You stepped outside as you felt the warm salty breeze that was so familiar to you.
"It's nice to be back in Miami with you cariño."
You look up at him both eyes and lips smiling in excitement. "You're so sweet. Thank you for this." You go on your toes to kiss his cheek, which made his grin widen, showing his dimples, something you cherished deep within your heart and soul.
The drive didn't take long as traffic went smoothly. Flashbacks and the feeling of nostalgia overcame you as the driver pulls into the same hotel you had met Miguel in almost 3 years ago.
After getting checked in Miguel leads you to your room. A smile graces your lips as you reminisce the memories of walking through these halls last time you were here.
Miguel opens the door as you enter a massive suite. As you walk in your eyes widen in amazement as you gaze at the gorgeous spacious living room with floor-to ceiling windows and luscious and soft furniture. When you turn you see a massive kitchen with an intimate-size dinning table.
You set your bag down as you walk towards the main windows you noticed the large patio balcony that has its own intimate pool, lawn chairs, and dining table with an umbrella. The sun was shining beautifully brightening your smile. You couldn't wait to spend the weekend under the sun with Miguel.
Strong arms wrapped around your waist pulling you against him. A relaxing sigh escaped you as you felt his soft lips against your neck, hitting your sweet spot.
"Should we break in our sanctuary for the weekend?" He whispered against your ear as his hand lowered, lifting your skirt. He pulled you closer as he moved your panties to the side and began rubbing your clit. Your breath hitched as you felt one of his fingers push inside you as his other hand lifted up your top and squeezed your right breast.
"Didn't get enough on the flight here?" You let out a small chuckle before gasping as he entered another finger and pumped faster.
"I can never have enough of you, cariño. Fucking you in that enclosed bathroom twice wasn't enough. I wish you would have just let me sprawl you on the sofa in the jet." Miguel inserted a third finger, filling your aching pussy as he sucked on your neck, leaving marks in his trek.
"T-the flight attendant w-would have seen us."
"She would have gone to the cockpit to give us some privacy. But no matter. We'll make up for it right now." Miguel continued to pump his fingers into you as he grind his boner into your back. A moan left you, chills shooting up your spine as Miguel pinches your right nipple as he sucked on your neck. The various touches made the knot form in your lower abdomen. Your head falls against his chest, giving his mouth more access to your neck, marking you all over.
Miguel lets out a groan as his pants tighten, wanting to free himself and fill up your soft and warm walls.
Not able to take it much longer Miguel removes his fingers, letting out an annoyed moan from you. He turns you around lifts you up and sits you on the dining room table. He goes down on his knees as he removes your panties and skirt putting your legs over his shoulders before diving his tongue deep into your aching cunt.
A shaky moan leaves you as Miguel's tongue enters your wet folds. His lips adventure around your overly sensitive area, as your thighs wrapped tight around his head, making his cock twitch from the pressure as he yearned to be inside you.
Every time your eyes opened and looked down your cheeks turned a shade darker as your eyes met his intense reddish-brown gaze. You gripped the edge of the table as you felt his tongue slowly lick your wet folds before sucking your sensitive clit, instinctively making your hips buck up against him.
You begin to feel your core tighten again, " Cum for me cariño," he said before his lips sucked on your clit.
Your grip on the table relaxed as you released yourself onto his face, your thighs shaking from your release of your orgasm. Miguel stood up from his knees, a smirk on his face as he hooked your knees with his hands as he pulled you closer against him. He leaned down and took your chin as he lifted your head slightly and captured his lips with yours. You moan as you tasted yourself on his tongue.
"You like tasting yourself, amor?" Miguel hummed in amusement before capturing your lips again and entering his tongue in your mouth.
You hummed in agreement against his lips before breathlessly saying, "only from your lips, Miggy."
As you both continued the passionate make out session Miguel moved his hands from your ass. To your disappointment as he began to unbuckle his belt and began to unzip his pants the doorbell rang.
You both sighed in frustration, annoyed in being interrupted. Miguel puts himself back in and walks to the front door as he buckles his belt. Already losing the moment you hop off the table.
You peak around the corner to see that it was the bell hop delivering the bags. Although you could only see Miguel's broad back you tried to hold back a chuckle as you saw the scared face of the bell hop. Miguel must have been terrifying the man just because he cock-blocked him.
After the bell hop left Miguel brought all the luggage to the main area, setting it down in a huff in frustration. His hair was out of its normal place. He combined it back with his fingers, however, it fell right back onto his forehead. He looked at you with a smile opening his arms to you, which you happily walked into his arms as he wrapped you up in a bear hug. You looked up at him as you got on your toes to kiss his chin.
"I guess the moment has passed?" Miguel asked.
"Yeah, I'm sorry Miggy. That Bell hop really did come at the worst time."
"He did." Miguel sighed as he leaned down and placed a loving kiss on your lips. "What would you like to do now? We can go shopping, go to the pool, the beach, stay here."
"I don't care what we do I just want to be with you." You smile as you rest your head against his chest, enjoying the rhythm of his heartbeat.
"Dios mío, mi amor. Mi corazón se hincha por lo lindo que puedes ser. Mi mente y mi corazón se vuelven locos por ti. Te amo con todo mi corazón y mi alma." Miguel smiled wide as he places butterfly kisses all over your face and neck. (Oh my God, my love. My heart swells because of how beautiful you can be. My mind and heart go crazy for you. I love you with all my heart and soul.)
"You are such a sweet talker, Miguel. Are you trying to get into my pants again?" You chuckle as you wrap your arms around his neck to pulls him down and kiss him.
"'Maybe a little bit." He chuckled along with you. "Let me take you shopping cariño. I want to treat you to a nice weekend."
"Aw Miguel that's sweet of you. But you know you don't need to win me over with anything artificial. I love you."
"I love you too. And I know that. But can't a boyfriend just spoil his girlfriend sometimes?" He chuckles as he brushed some strands of your hair behind your ear.
"Well if you say it like that, then ok. But if there is anything that catches your eye, I'm buying it for you."
"Whatever you wish for cariño."
You spend majority of the day exploring the shopping district in South Beach. Both you and Miguel bought plenty of things. The last place was a men's store to look at shirts for Miguel. Throughout the day he had bought everything that peaked your interest even if you didn't say anything, he got it for you. You really wanted to buy him a few things.
He picked out a few nice dress shirts as he went to go try them on on top of handing him a few more that you thought would look good on him. Every time he showed you a new shirt you thought he looked amazing in all of them. Also you just kept on eating up all the gawking stares at Miguel from both men and women. Usually some people would be annoyed by people checking out your boyfriend, as long as they didn't directly try to flirt with him in front of you. But you just loved that he was yours and you were his, which was easily shown when he wrapped an arm around your waist.
After grabbing a bite to eat you both decided it was time to head back to the hotel as the sun already was gone. After dropping off all the bags you both head down to a familiar-looking out door bar by the pool.
Miguel guides you to two seats at the bar counter. A chill went up your spine, the feeling of deja vu running through your mind.
Your smile widens when the bartender brings over the drinks you both had ordered. Before you could take a sip Miguel swiftly moved it from your grasp. You sent him a playful offended look as you lean closer to him, lips only centimeters a part. "This time I'm old enough to drink." You wink at him, before his lips could meet yours, you pulled your head away and placed your lips on the rim of your glass as you take your first sip, eyes never leaving his.
"This time I know that you're mine." Miguel pulls you closer  towards him, smiling wide at you before taking your chin and kissing you. "God I just want to ravage you right now."
You giggle at his words, "Not. Yet. My love." You tap his plush lips with your finger as you pronounce each word. Miguel smiles against your finger as he kisses it before wrapping an arm around your waist and moving your chair as close to his as possible.
"Hey I wanted to tell you some big news."
"Oh?! What is it?!"
"The same day I heard about you getting the internship I officially became the CEO of Alchamex."
"Oh my god Miguel! That's amazing! Congratulations!" Your eyes widen as you wrap your arms around his neck, practically jumping on him, giving him a kiss.
Miguel's smile widened with joy as he happily accepted you into his arms.
"Well now we have something to celebrate for this weekend!"You smile as you sit back in your seat and raise your glass. Miguel chuckles from your remarks as he follows your gesture with his drink.
"Let's drink to us mi amor."
"To us? What for?" You return his wide smile.
"Your internship. My new position. Our future." You felt your heart skip a beat when you heard his last words.
"I'll cheers to that. I love you."
"I love you too, cariño."
After a few more drinks at the bar and another night of passion you wake up the next morning feeling slightly sore.
Raising from the bed you stretch as you smile at the beautiful morning sky. You notice the lack of warmth to the other side of the bed as you can hear the shower running in the bathroom. A chill went up your spine, as the feeling of Deja vu washed over you. You leave the bed as you walk over to the master suite bathroom in your birthday suit.
As you enter your cheeks redden from the sight of water dripping down his wide strong back as it rolls down his waist to his plush ass and down to the marble floor. You bite your lip as you watch his arm muscles flex as he washes his curls. You step into the shower stepping around him and directly under the water. You look up at him with a suggestive smile.
"Good morning mi amor. I didn't think you would be up yet. But I'm glad you are now." Miguel leaned down and cupped your chin as he kissed you. Craving him you wrapped your arms lazily around his neck. His other hand grabbed you by the waist pulling you against him, a groan escaping his lips as your stomach rubbed against his erected cock.
"I missed the warmth of your body in the bed." You gave him a fake pout as you push your body closer to his, making your breasts push against him. Miguel's eyes widen before filling with lust as he gave you one of his iconic smirks.
"Aw I'm sorry baby. I can warm you up now though." Miguel lifted you up against the shower wall, large hands cupping your ass as he thrusts himself into you.
A moan escapes you as you instinctively wrap your legs around his waist as he begin to fuck you at a rough pace. Your nails dig into his shoulders as you feel the build up from the feeling of his thick ridges invading your pink flesh walls.
Miguel moved one of his hands to your lower abdomen has he could see and feel himself fucking your insides. "Ugh cariño I just want to fill you up with my seed and see your stomach swollen with our children."
"M-Miggy." You barely could say his name, to caught up in your own pleasure.
"Fuck, I love it when you say my name." Miguel's lips pressed against your neck as he nipped and sucked at your skin as he continued to ram you against the wall. With his hand pressing against your lower abdomen, making your space for his cock to move inside you tighter. The feeling in your stomach quickly builds up and with one more thrust your eyes roll back as you find your release. After a few more thrusts Miguel released himself inside you, latching his lips to yours in a heated kiss. His thrust slowed down before he pulled out, his seed spilling out of you.
Miguel let you stand again. He turned you around, putting some shampoo in his hand as he massaged it into your scalp. You leaned into his touch, closing your eyes enjoying the sensation.
After he helped washing your hair, you poured some body wash in your hands as you began to wash his body. As you used the cloth to wash his broad chest he brush some loose strands behind your ear, whispering "So beautiful." You smiled lovingly up at him as he caressed your cheek.
After finishing cleaning in the shower you both get dry and ready for the day before heading out hand in hand to grab some breakfast.
The hostess seats you at a nice table outside facing the beach. You and Miguel decided to sit next to each other instead of across wanting to be close to one another.
"Anything in store for today?" You smile before taking a sip of your mimosa.
"I was thinking we relax at the beach today. How does that sound?" Miguel smiles as he pops a grape into his mouth.
"That sounds wonderful."
Miguel's phone buzzed on the table, picking it up a smile appears on his face. Looking over you see it's Gabriel face-timing him. You scoot your chair closer to Miguel before he pressed the answer button.
"Mama! Papa!" Said the young voice you missed.
"Buenas días, princesa. ¿Cómo dormiste?" ( Good morning princess, how did you sleep?)
"Good! I miss you and mama. When are you coming home?" Your heart ached when you saw her sad pout.
"We miss you so much baby bug. Papa and I will be back in two more sleeps."
"Ok Mama. Papa did you-" "well look at the time, it's time for you to get ready for soccer practice." Gabriel interrupted his little niece for talking further.
You frowned slightly wanting to talk to Gabi more as you did miss her, but after a quick goodbye Gabriel hung up the call.
"I wish we could have talked longer. I miss her."
Miguel took your hand and kissed the inside of your wrist.
"I miss her too, but we'll see her soon."
"You're right." You smile as you cup his cheek lovingly.
After enjoying breakfast together you walk to the beach and find two seats with an umbrella. You lay your beach bag and towels on the chairs before removing your sun dress over your head. As soon as your were just in your colorful bikini you heard a snap. Before you could even react Miguel blocked your chest from nearby onlookers.
"Aw my shoulder strap broke." You pout, as you cover your chest. "I have another one in my bag, I'll go change in one of the bathrooms."
"Do u need help?" Miguel asked with a look of slight concern.
"Don't worry I'll be ok. Thank you for protecting me, my knight and shining armor." You go on your toes and kiss his lips before grabbing your spair bikini and heading over towards the bathroom.
After switching bikinis you look yourself over in the mirror smiling before heading back out to the beach. Your happy smile switched to a frown when you noticed the waitress getting too close to your boyfriend. Of course before you can get there she leaves. When you got to your chair you noticed Miguel's annoyed face before his eyes met yours and seconds later his loving smile returned.
"Make a friend there?" You chuckle as you sit on the chair next to him.
"Just the typical waitress trying to gain my favor, they are just too blind to see that my heart and body belong to you only. Oh I ordered you a mango margarita." Miguel took your hand and kissed your knuckles. You notice the waitress was about to come back over with your drinks, so the mischievous person you can be, you straddle his lap as you trace your hands up his chiseled chest to his shoulders to massage them.
"¿Qué estás haciendo mi sexy minx?" Miguel chuckled with a smirk on his face as he placed his hands on your hips. (What are you doing my sexy minx?)
"Just helping you relax plus another reason."
"Care to let me in on it?"
"Oh I think you already have figure it out Doctor O'Hara."
Miguel gave your hips a tiny love squeeze to your cheeky remark.
The waitress came back now acting nervous when she noticed you on Miguel's lap acting all lovey dovey. You smiled as you could tell Miguel was trying told back a chuckle as he knew your only got like this when you got jealous. He thought it was cute. "H-here are your d-drinks."
"You can place them on the table. Thank you." The waitress gives you a fake awkward happy smile before walking away. You hand Miguel his beer before grabbing your drink and taking a sip from your straw.
"This is bringing back fond memories." Miguel brushed some of your hair behind your shoulder before bringing you closer against him. Luckily you were at a Adults-only hotel, so you didn't have to worry about children being around.
"What makes you say that?"
"You sitting in my lap under the sun by the sea. Who would have thought I would call you mine almost three years later." Miguel took your chin gently and placed a loving kiss to both sides of your cheeks before placing one on your lips.
"Oh Miggy you can be such a romantic. I love you." You chuckle with a loving smile before placing another kiss on his lips.
"Anything to please you hermosa."
"You remember that nice memory of us in the private pool?" You give him a suggestive smile wrapping your arms around his neck now and bringing your chest against his. Miguel grabbed your ass and pulled you closer, feeling a half erect  hard on under neath his swim suit shorts rubbing  against your clit you bite your lower lip to hide your moan.
"I do."
"Maybe we should sneak into the pool tonight and recreate it?"
"Actually I booked us a private cabana and pool for all day tomorrow. So we can recreate that moment, on and on and on." Miguel moved his hips against you on rhythm with his last words. Before the beginning of a knot could form in your lower abdomen you remember you were in public and immediately remove yourself from his lap and back to to your chair blushing madly.
"Aw cariño why did you leave? I thought we were having fun." Miguel sent you a fake pout.
"A little too much fun in public. Save it for closed doors." You wink at him. Miguel winked back with a chuckle kissing your forehead as he wrapped and arm on the back of your chair as your were right next to him.
You spent the day laying in the sun enjoying each others presence in comfortable silence with a break or two playing in the water to cool off.
Once the sun begins to set you go back to the hotel and shower together, taking longer than usual to both satisfy your sexual hunger building up throughout the day.
You smile at yourself in the long mirror lining the long dress with heels that you chose. Miguel had said that dinner was at a Michelin star Mexican-Japanese restaurant tonight, which you were excited to try.
"You look gorgeous mi amor." Miguel wrapped his arms around you in a hug as he kisses your neck. You turn around to face your handsome boyfriend.
"You look handsome." You giggle slightly from his light kisses tickling your neck.
"Not too old for you?" He lightly chuckled but you could tell he actually wanted to know, feeling slightly insecure.
"Miguel. You're the one for me. You're my perfect man."
"Flaws and all?"
"Flaws and all. But I see your flaws as unique characteristics. And I love every single one." You lift his head to look into his brown eyes.
"You are more than perfect y/n." Miguel smiled as he kissed your lips. Once you both broke away you chuckled lightly to see that your red lipstick left a mark on his lips. You grab a tissue and gently wipe the red from his lips.
"God, if I didn't want to go to this restaurant I would mount you right now on this bed." You take a deep breath trying your best to control yourself. What this man could make your mind and body feel.
"We'll have plenty of time afterwords, unless, do you want to have a quickie right now? We have 20 minutes. Only takes 8 to walk there." Miguel smirked as he turned you back around and bent you over before you could answer. He got your answer when you rubbed your ass against his crotch making him groan from the contact. He unzipped his pants and taking himself out before lifting your dress and pushing your white lace underwear to the side before pushing himself in. A moan left your lips as he fully entered himself inside your wet pink folds. From this angle you were tighter so you felt the feeling of his ridges and veins moving against your inner walls.
Grabbing your hips he removes himself fully except the tip before plunging back into you.
"Fuck hermosa. You feel so good. It's going to be hard just to fill you once."
Miguel pace quickens at record speed building your knot instantly. Another moan escaped your lips overwhelmed by the quick and pleasurable orgasm. However, after coming down from your euphoric high you noticed his pace doesn't falter.
"M-miggy."
"Just one more. Let me make you cum one more time." And true to his word you felt another knot build just as fast as the first before feeling that familiar and intoxicating high you can't seem to get enough of. After your second orgasm Miguel stopped his thrusts inside you, as he made your inner walls white. He thrusted a few more times inside you wanting as much seed to stay inside you as his constantly had the need to breed you.
He walked over to the bathroom to get a warm wet towel to clean you off before cleaning himself off.
You look in the mirror to make yourself look presentable before linking arms with your boyfriend. "Look at that, we still have time to spare. Could have fucked you for another few minutes.Guess we'll head over early."
"Guess we'll have to add those minutes for later tonight's session." Miguel smirked from your response before placing a kiss on the top of your head before you both left the room towards the restaurant.
You make it to the restaurant and are seated right away at a beautiful table outside with a bottle of Prosecco in an ice bucket ready to be sipped.
The dinner and atmosphere was perfect. The food and drink was amazing, the staff were really nice. How more perfect could this night get?
"Wow, I can see why this restaurant has a Michelin star, every bite was amazing. What an amazing day. Thank you." You smile
"I'm glad you liked it cariño. But dinner is not quite over yet. We still have dessert." Miguel chuckled slightly when you gave him a curious look.
You were curious to his words because Miguel didn't have a big sweet tooth. You're surprised by the waiter coming over with a small white cake with white flowers dusted gold.
On the top it read in cursive "Will you..."the waiter took a lighter and lit the thin layer on fire revealing another set of words, "Marry me?"
When your eyes lifted to Miguel's you saw him already beside you kneeling down on one knee with a velvet small box open.
"Y/n. Mi Vida. Mi amor. When I look into your eyes, I can see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we'll share. I know we have had our challenges in this relationship. But my love for you is so much stronger than any challenge that has come or will come in our way. When I met you almost three years ago at this very hotel I'd never felt my heart so full. I never felt so happy before. And I'm so happy that you came back into my life. I promise you, no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you more than me. Will you make me the happiest man on Eartg and marry me?"  Miguel opened up the black velvet box to reveal a beautiful oval shaped, 3 carat diamond stone with a white gold band that decorated with smaller diamonds on both sides.
Tears brimmed the corner of your eyes. Your heart was pounding a mile a minute as you felt butterflies fly rapidly in your stomach. You started to nod your head yes having a hard time speaking as you gave him a wide happy smile before wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him up with some new found strength as you kiss him. You pepper his lips with kisses while you say in between, "yes. Yes. I will marry you."
Miguel smile was bright and happy, the smile that made your heart swell with love. He cupped your cheek, "You just made me the happiest man on Earth."
The surrounding tables called and cheered for your joyous occasion. Miguel took the beautiful ring from its box as he slipped it on your ring finger.
"It fits perfectly. It's beautiful Miguel." You look at the ring smiling before placing another kiss to his lips.
After paying the bill you both leave the restaurant as you decide to take a walk on the beach.
Miguel leads you to a private section of the beach where a gorgeous open tent with candles lighting a path in the sand with petals trailing up the middle. You gasped in wonder when you see the inside of tent. A king sized floor mattress and comforters with blankets and pillows. On one side there was champagne and a small fruit platter with a sign that said, 'Congratulations.'
"Oh Miguel this is gorgeous." You look up at him with love and excitement which returns in his gaze.
"Now let's celebrate." Miguel lifted you up bridal style before gently throwing you on to the soft comforter.
The ending of the night was perfect as you showed each other how much you loved each other as you made love on the beach under the starry night sky.
You wake up to the bright sun shinning over the bright blue water. Brain becoming more awake you realize you were still in the tent on the beach.
You felt Miguel shift as you felt the grip he had around your waist tighten as he pulled you back against his chest as he whispered in your ear with his rough morning voice, " Good morning hermosa."
"Good morning." You turn your head slightly to meet his lips with yours to give him a morning kiss. You then remember the band around your finger as you turned to look at it.
"Oh my god, we're engaged."You cover your mouth eyes widening smiling as the realization finally hits you.
"We are." Miguel chuckled to your words as he placed a few kisses on your shoulder and neck.
"How did you set this all up?"
"It's a special offer they have for the newly engaged. It's a private part of the beach that no one else can go to .
"Very romantic. Thank you for a wonderful weekend away."
"Of course mi amor. Anything for you."
The rest of the morning was spent with more love making and breakfast that was delivered.
You both decided it was time to head back to the room, walking back in the clothes from the night before.
The day went by in a flash from the private pool and cabana to another romantic dinner to now where you are on the terrace balcony of your room laying on the outdoor sofa and cuddling in each others arms.
You gaze up at the stars as you both try to find constellations.
"Look there's the Little Dipper!" You point up to the sky with your left hand. Miguel gently grabs your hand that was raised to the sky and brings it to his lips placing a kiss to your wrist.
"I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." He smiled as his reddish-brown gaze met yours. Your cheeks flushed slightly as you smiled up at him.
"Me too. I love you Miguel O'Hara."
"I love too, soon-to-be Y/n O'Hara."

A habit it has become.
"Miguel, I'm home," the words just automatically fall out from your mouth the moment you step in the door.
"You're ba…ck," Miguel's tone changed from happy to silent, he must've sensed Gabriel and Gabriella behind the door.
"Look first of all, I'm sorry for returning late because I was doing something," you explained, "I went to find your family with the information the old man has given me, Gabriel, your brother and your daughter, Gabriella."
"How are you sure they are my family?" Miguel asked you, it's also the part you started to doubt a little.
"The old man showed me a picture of you and Gabriella, I think that proves enough," you reasoned back.
A minute of silence passed, both of you didn't say a thing at all, just looking at each other with millions of thoughts.
For some reason, you could sense that Miguel doesn't want to see Gabriel or Gabriella.
"Miguel, are you perhaps, don't want to see them?" You took out the courage to ask, he turned away when you asked him.
"Miguel?" You tilted your head, waiting for Miguel to answer but at the end he didn't say a thing at all.
"Maybe some other time then," you sighed and went back out the apartment.
"So?" Gabriella asked.
"He's uh, not ready yet, maybe some other day then," you could see the disappointment on their face, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay, Miguel used to be like this too," Gabriel patted your shoulder, as he already knew what's going on, "let's go home Gabi, we can do this some other time," Gabriel comforted Gabriella as they said goodnight and goodbye to you.
Leaving you standing outside of your apartment, wondering how things turn out this way.
All you ever wanted is to help Miguel to move on, so he doesn't need to suffer in the living world.
You took five minutes to clear your thoughts and went back to your apartment, "Miguel?"
There's no replies, which freaked you out a lot. You ran around your apartment, calling Miguel's name in every three steps you took. The kitchen, bathroom, balcony, bedroom, pantry, storage room, living room, closet. There's still no sign of him, you started to get worried.
"Miguel?" You panicked, "hey, I know it's my fault that I just brought them here, but we promised didn't we? That I will help you to move on."
"Miguel please, show yourself or at least say something," if people were to see you right now, you would look like a freak talking to the air.
"I don't want to move on anymore, Y/N," Miguel's voice appeared behind you. You turned around as quickly as you could.
"What do you mean?"
"I want to spend more time with you," Miguel looked at you.
By that, you've known that Miguel has fallen in love with you, even if he's a ghost.
Ever since you moved into this apartment, Miguel's only companion is you, and yours only is him since your workplace hates you. Miguel has always been the only one you can talk to after a long, tiring day, and you're the only one he can talk to since no one else can see him. If you were to be stuck on days like this, together with someone who is always there for you when you needed them, who wouldn't catch feelings?
You hate to admit that you did also feel the same way as Miguel did but you kept your boundaries. Miguel's a ghost, you're a living human, there's nothing to it.
It's just like talking to your imaginations.
"You can't think of this way Miguel, you can't be stuck in the living world with me, you can't do anything here but to suffer and if you were to move on, you get to live a better life," you shook your head, looking at Miguel's disbelieving face.
"How would there be a better life where there's no you?"
"Y/N, after being a ghost for so long, I have forgotten how does the world feels like anymore, but when you appear, and all the time we've spent together, you brought the world to me, I was able to feel the warmth, and you, you made me feel like my heart is beating again," Miguel placed his hand on his chest, "even as now I don't have a heart."
"Miguel, we can't happen, you're a ghost, I'm a human," you cried, hearing those words from Miguel gave you butterflies but you keep telling yourself to keep your mind intact, "I'm sorry."
You walked away, back to your bedroom. You flopped on your bed and thought about what Miguel said to you.
If only he's not a ghost, if he wasn't, you would take the step with no hesitation but he's not a real human, just a ghost.
For the next few days, you still see Miguel floating around your apartment, since he doesn't leave the apartment at all. That conversation left you both stunned for days. Even if you both see each other in the house, all you say is good morning and good night, nothing more.
During your off days, you do your chores like always, music playing in the background, doing the dishes, then your laundry, the floor, and the toilet. Once the cleaning is done, your laundry will almost dry up too. You stack up your dried laundry together, looking at the pile, almost calling out the name.
"Miguel."
"Yes?" He answered, then you only know you speak out your thoughts again.
"It's nothing," you awkwardly scratch your head and go to the kitchen, leaving Miguel in the living room himself, looking at the piled up laundry of yours.
Night arrived, you went to sleep automatically since you have done nothing but cleaning your apartment the whole day. Drifting into your dreams.
You couldn't tell how long you've fallen asleep, when you open your eyes, the sky is still dark and someone is calling your name.
"Y/N!"
"Y/N c'mon, wake up, we gotta run!" It's Miguel.
"What? What's happening?" Your mind is still slowly waking up.
"There's a fire, you have to run!"
When you open your eyes fully, then you see there's smoke coming in from your bedroom door. You panicked, everything turned into muffles as you tried to rush out of your bedroom, only leading a huge gas of smoke on your face, you fell onto the ground and coughed badly, only then hearing Miguel's voice guiding you again.
"Crawl, don't stand up and run," Miguel reminded you, he's also floating low to guide you out of your apartment.
Once you're out, Miguel then guides you to the escape staircase, you run down the stairs as quickly as you could, but you stop when a part of the staircase is broken, you have to jump but the gap is a little too wide for you.
"I want to live, I have to jump," you whispered to yourself, what a dumb move to think of but you did it anyways but only your hand is able to grab onto the edge of the broken stairs.
"Shit," you cursed, you don't know if it's your tears or your sweats, it's blurring your sight, "Miguel!" you cried, even though you know Miguel can't touch you, you still call for him anyway, "I'm sorry Miguel, for what I said, I love you, I do, I just thought that I'm a human and you're a ghost, it's impossible for us to be together, so I denied you, but if I could make it out, I would love to give it a try," you tried to pull yourself up but you're tired from the heat coming from above you.
"I'm sorry."
Your eyes closed as you feel your body become weightless then a voice calling out your name.

This ask game
Initially I was going to do the Peaceful Timeline, but then I thought...why not make some Gabi haters happy? This is Starscream killing Gabi in the Revenge Timeline. Part 2: Gabi’s death
"Oh, dear," The Warrior Cadets froze in fear with their bound hands when they saw a massive metal titan stepping of off his thrown and coming into light. They could all see this colorful titan grinning at them with an expression that looked so unhinged.
"It looks like you humans are so far away from home, aren't you?" Starscream taunted.
"W-What do you want with us?!" Colt stuttered, "You already have Marley! Just let us go!"
"I'm sorry. I can't do that." Starscream didn't seem apologetic, "Sure I have my control over Marley, and I have this."
The Cadets flinched when the titan pulled a long, ragged, sword from his back. It was uneven, crooked, glowing a bright purple, and they definitely felt something off about it.
"The Dark Star Saber," he explained, "Forged from the Blood of Unicron with the ability to cut mountains in two."
"Um...what exactly is Unicron?" Udo ended up asking.
"Udo, shut up!" Zofia hissed.
Starscream just looked annoyed as he put the sword back on his back. "Uncultured little insects, I swear to Primus."
"Let us go!" Gabi shouted at him, "If you don't, you'll be sorry! Our Warriors will come and-!"
Starscream started cackling in response. "Your 'Warriors' fled like cowards! They abandoned you and let Marley deal with me all by itself."
"No," Gabi gasped. Reiner...Reiner wouldn't leave them behind. Reiner wouldn't leave her behind to danger! "You lie!"
"I only speak the truth," Starscream smirked, "Those titan were fleeing on a ship and I was prepared to take them into custody, but then Megatron made an appearance. I was more than happy to put him in his place."
"Who is Megatron?" Falco asked. The child didn't like the way Starscream's grin grew wider.
"Oh right, you poor, wretched things have no idea who you've been staying with," Starscream proclaimed.
"Know what?!" Colt demanded. He didn't like being kept in suspense.
"Well Megatron is the name of what you call the 'Flying Titan'," Starscream put the word in air quotes, "But you lot know him by a different name: Matthew Hayes."
The Warrior Cadets were in stun shock. Mattew? Matthew was the Flying Titan. Starscream reveled in their devastated expressions and continued.
"I never thought I would see my former master demean himself to the status of a human, but I suppose it was too easy, considering no one thought that his behavior or even his optics were wrong!" Starscream laughed again, "By the Allspark, his optics were still red and none of you humans caught on! No wonder he got away with it so easily."
"No...," Gabi shook her head in disbelief, "No! You liar! You devil! Demon bastard!"
"Ooo, some spark in you." Starscream was amused, "But I speak the truth. I was there when your Warriors fled and I was there when Megatron dropped his cover to buy time for your Warriors to escape. He helped your Warrior run away in fear of me! Oh, it's something I can't stop myself of reveling in!"
"Matthew is not the Flying Titan!" Gabi screamed at him, "Matthew is our friend!"
"Friend?!" Starscream cackled, "I would hardly count Megatron as a friend, but tell me: what makes 'Matthew' so special to you? I highly doubt that Megatron is even capable of kindness, and you Eldians are always treated as devils yourself. But please, enlighten me."
“Don’t mock him like that! Stop lying! Matthew is good! And kind! He’s the only non-Eldian who doesn’t insult us and call us devils!”
“Oh really,” Starscream chuckled.
“He helps us grow and get stronger! He gives us food and tells us stories!” Gabi continued.
“…hm,” Starscream didn’t sound too amused at that.
“Sure he’s harsh, but he doesn’t insult us or attack us just for existing!” Gabi yelled as she took a step forward.
Falco noticed the way that Starscream’s expression turned from amusement…into anger and disbelief. It looked unhinged! Mad!
“Gabi!” Falco called for her, “Gabi stop!”
“No I’m not done!” Gabi took another step forward, “I’m not going to let this devil trick us into think that Matthew is the enemy and that Reiner would abandon us! He’s a good person! He wouldn’t lie or betray us!”
Starscream could only hear that human’s shrill screams, but the context of her words were drowned out by his swirling thoughts. Megatron…a good person? No. That was wrong. Megatron is a liar. A brute. An utter fool. Who abandoned the Decepticon cause and left him at the servos of those Predacons he allowed to be created! All those years of torment and abuse! All those years of getting hit and beaten into the ground! The scorn! Ridicule! Now he’s playing nice with humans?! Insects?! He values humans more than his own second command!
“He even set up a mock burial for our fallen comrade after he died!” He…he did what?! Starscream wasn’t allowed time to even grieve for his trine! But Megatron decides to give humans closure! This was wrong! THIS WAS ALL WRONG! Megatron doesn’t get to be happy! To have closure! MEGATRON DOESN’T GET TO MOVE ON!
Falco noticed the way Starscream clutches his head and his eyes twitching in fury. Everyone in the room did. Everyone except for Gabi who kept trying to make her case. “Gabi! Gabi, stop! Please!”
“No! I’ll never stop defending my friends!” Gabi declared.
“Will you JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH INSECT?!” Gabi gasped when Starscream transformed his servo into a blaster and aimed it directly at her. She stared down the barrel of the gun, the situation not catching up to her brain.
“Gabi!” Falco tried to reach for her, but Colt tackled him away and shielded him from the sight as Starscream fired at her. Udo and Zofia ended up getting blown back from the blaster while the bounty hunters watched in surprise. Falco could hear Gabi's scream of terror as he saw a red light consume her and incinerate her to the bone. When the light disappeared, Falco saw there was nothing left except the charred floor where the impact happened.
"G-gabi..." Falco felt tears forming in his eyes as Colt sat up. The older brother's shock was also replaced with tears. Udo and Zofia were also horrified at the sight. They all walked over to the charred space and kneeled down before they started sobbing.
The bounty hunters turned their attention to Starscream, who seemed to slowly recollect himself from his moment of insanity. He turned to them with a dark expression.
"Take them to their cells," Starscream ordered.
Roughedge looked over at his comrades, unsure if he should follow, but the Vehicon and Insecticon were already picking up the crying humans, telling them to shut up. Looks like he had no choice in the matter. Not unless he wanted to keep his pay.
(Gabi haters enjoy. Free game: 44-46,10,14, 19, 22,23,26, 32,34-37,39.)
