N/T: A THOUSAND APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY!! I had a giant creative block and I'm going through a lot of personal and family problems, but I'm recovering, I'm also in college entrance year and I'm very busy with my studies, but I finally managed to do part 4, part 5 may take a little while but I'll be sending it soon, anyway, enjoy reading!!
The Light at the End of the Tunnel
Part IV
I think I only realized this after I lost my life...
The second queen never liked me. Every time she pushed me away and treated me with contempt, despite being a child considered to be of unclean blood, I was recognized by the King as a princess, as a Shields, as one of the royal family, but the difference in how I was treated and how my siblings were treated, both by servants and other nobles, was evident.
When the new queen moved with Aura to the castle, she made the biggest scandal and locked me in Geiz's Palace, this palace formerly was intended to house the King's concubines who got pregnant. I could barely get out of there, and the few times I did, I desperately sought the love and affection of my family.
But there were still people, who at least felt an ounce of pity and tried to take care of me...they never lasted long.
An execution is overboard! The young lady didn't try to trick you on purpose!
She never had that intention!
Those who sided with me also lost their lives...Rosie...Sir Joseph...I wish I could avenge them, all of them.
If only, I didn't...
*****
Total attention and dedication in me, just to get me dressed?
She was dressed in an elegant pink dress, with lots of ruffles and a beautiful ribbon with a flower decoration in the back of her hair.
I felt indifferent as people dressed me.
Nursemaid: Princess! Oh my! It suited your highness so well!
Maid: Your highness is so beautiful and graceful that it resembles an angel!
Nursemaid: Certainly, not to anyone more angelic than her!
They cooed to the baby, who turned her head as if she didn't understand
A baby's body, which cannot walk properly, is uncomfortable and not pleasant.
Yuu: (What do you like about me?)
She thought, bored, but her nursemaid and maids still show interest in her, even with her bitter personality, she was still called cute.
Nursemaid: Your highness does not complain while dressing, the lady are too kind.
Maid: That's true, she's always calm.
Maid 2: It is an honor for our kingdom to have such a beautiful princess.
People rushed to praise me. It's a very strange experience to be praised, just for not whining. No, moreover, it used to be praised for various things like: “She is so kind, she never whine.”, “She eats well, never complains.”, “She is good at burping.” and “She's good when she crawls.”. No one would know that I am embarrassed and stunned by the compliment.
Nursemaid: Your Highness, would you like to have a look?
With that said, the nursemaid brought a mirror. It was the first time in her life that she had looked in the mirror since reincarnation. Her heart was beating fast. Looking softly, she was a little taken aback by the moment.
Yuu: (That's....me?)
It's because my appearance was more beautiful than I thought. Maybe it's because I'm a baby, but the little girl reflected in the mirror was showing her cuteness dazzlingly. The soft blue-black hair, which was like the dark night, and the bright blue-green eyes, contained in a small face, were beautiful as rare jewels. The flushed cheeks were plump enough to pinch, and the cherry-colored lips looked too soft. It looked like a wingless angel, fallen from the sky.
But she looked at herself in the mirror and was soon frowning.
In the past, I was a redhead with yellow eyes.
Nursemaid: Your Highness, don't you like the mirror?
Maid: Maybe she's uncomfortable with her appearance or something...
Then the nursemaid looked at her anxiously, she realized that the baby had been looking at her reflection in the mirror for a long time.
Maid: I'll take it now.
The maid put the mirror away, while the baby watched in silence, the nursemaid held her carefully and started walking towards the exit of the room, followed by the maids.
I could feel the spirits of light floating around me, particularly enchanted by the spring sun.
Yuu: (It's beautiful.)
She thought casually.
Yuu: (Was it the trauma of being incarcerated in a dungeon in a previous life? When I was reborn I became particularly obsessed with light.)
*****
As soon as the door was opened, she could feel the strong sun and warm air from the inner garden. She watched and saw a little boy, sitting at the front, drinking tea while reading a book. When the little boy noticed his presence he looked in his direction and smiled. The little boy slowly got up from his chair, listening to the maids greeting. His green eyes shone brightly in the sun.
I was a little curious. Rumor has it that just looking the heir in the eye tends to make people scared. But I thought that I, who was a baby, would be fine. The next moment I made eye contact with him, I realized. The fact that he was deliberately taking the pressure off me. Of course, a normal baby would have cried the moment he made eye contact with him, no matter how careful he was. So maybe now you can face me, not just for your consideration, but also because Keir, a fourteen-year-old girl, was in command of this body.
Malleus: ...
She didn't want to keep staring at him, she didn't feel comfortable. She dropped her eyes quickly. She didn't want to draw the crown prince's attention any more than necessary. But looking at her, he slowly approached her and touched her hair.
Malleus: You are growing up so well, Yuu.
He said stroking her hair. It was a warm voice that sounded unbearable, just because it was adorable. She looked into her eyes again and then closed her lids again.
Malleus: Yuu have truly grown a lot.
Maid 2: But until when are you going to keep on talking to her highness, Your Royal Highness?
The maid hesitated before saying this, and soon received a scolding look from the headmaid.
I'm well aware. Even though everyone inside the palace praises me for how cute and lovable I am, there's also gossip about my well-being and speculation that there's something wrong with me.
— Sh-she's been growing so much lately, I'm sure she'll start speaking soon.
— But of course. She's inherited the blood of her ancestors so well after all....
But that's the thing. Unlike other babies, I barely show my emotions, so far I've been secretly training forever, but I've never been able to babble a single word, even the simplest ones. Maybe I have an any blockage or something...I am unable to say 'mama' or 'papa', let alone speak. To be honest, if I made the effort to do that, I could talk right now if I wanted to, but...
Yuu: (In fact, it's a little scary to make that kind of effort.)
Suddenly she felt something flying near her face, she opened her eyes and saw the spheres of light.
{– Are you okay?}
{– Don't worry, soon you'll get it!}
{– No problem, after all we will always be with you!}
{Yuu: Are you here to comfort me? Thank you everyone.}
These spheres of light that only I can see and hear are my guardian spirits, they have been by my side protecting and supporting me since the day I was born.
A Draconia. The name didn't have a similarity by chance. Children born into the royal family with the surname Draconia belong to a rare species of fairy-dragon, and have dragon-like characteristics. Only legitimate children of the royal family are born fae dragons, never an illegitimate would show the same characteristics as a blood legitimate.
Yuu: (A fae...I wasn't born human this time...that's good, isn't it?)
“Also, why am I reborn? Is it because I suffered in my past life that I gained the chance to have a better life, with a new family that truly loves me...is that why I was reborn?” After I was reborn I asked myself about it constantly
The fact that I don't know what also happened to the King and Queen bothers me a little, but I could also realize the agitation of the people of the Valley of Thorns. They were anxious when some kind of oracle from a long time ago resurfaced.
“Lights and blossoms, Jewel eyes, through Neaarchi, the second, a new hope is born”
Citizens were confused, what was “Neaarchi” and what could this oracle mean?
This oracle had appeared long ago in the ancient writings of the ancient fairies. This was the last line of the ancient prophecy that has long since become a legend. No one has ever been able to fully decipher it. They imagined it would be the miraculous birth of a child in difficult times, perhaps a second child. The one who would bring but that eternal splendor to the kingdom. Believing this, many of the kings of the Valley of Thorns tried to make the oracle come true, in order to bring splendor upon their reign, but....after many generations, there was never a second child in the royal family. Always and always only a single heir was born. And it was that way for hundreds of years. After a long time, the oracle turned out to be a legend, passed down from generation to generation.
Until, one day... After so many years of waiting, the blessing descended from the heavens and arrived at the royal house of the Valley of Thorns.
— What? Was a second child born in the kingdom?
— Does this mean that the kingdom will become stronger?
— Good heavens! So the prophecy will finally be fulfilled now!!
When I had been in the castle for a while they seemed to have noticed the similarities with the oracle, my appearance in a clearing, the cradle of flowers surrounding me, the beautiful eyes and shining like jewels and the desire of the King and Queen to baptize me with a name that means "new beginning"...
Obviously everyone was surprised and excited by the extraordinary news of the finally birth of the second royal child. Imagine their surprise when they announced that they was a little princess. But with the sudden appearance of a new royal child, it was obvious that rumors would spread throughout the kingdom.
— But is she really a Draconia...? The king and queen...I mean them...
— What if she is just an adopted child, or worse, illegitimate! It would be bad enough to have almost or no blood from the royal family, now imagine having only half of it....
Yuu: (It seems that in a long time, a second real child is not born, so when my birth was announced everyone was surprised and countless parties were held in my honor. But not everything is flowers, with the light, also comes the darkness, soon rumors began to appear that doubted my relationship with the royal blood, rumors about me being an adopted or illegitimate child....)
Slander....rumors created by people who feel pure envy of the Draconian Royal Family. But I didn't have to worry about that for a long time...
Everything changed at the festival created to commemorate my birth, it was made shortly after I opened my eyes. Feasts and festivals were always held in honor of a royal new birth, so everyone would be blessed.
Yuu: (I was very young at the time, so they didn't do more than put me in a cute outfit and show me around for a few minutes.)
She thinks rolling her eyes
During the festival, at the princess's introduction to the kingdom, that's when I accidentally sprayed fire, cyan-colored fire, beautiful but destructive.
I shuddered
What kind of baby breathes fire!? Although the others around me were as surprised as I was, they quickly smiled and started to celebrate applauding. Unlike me who was horrified.
Yuu: (What?)
— Did you see that?! The princess sneezed fire!
— I can't believe we doubt your royal blood! This is clearly proof that she is a legitimate daughter of King and Queen Draconia!
— Yea! She's a real royal fairy-dragon, coming to think of it, she looks like the queen when she was younger, don't you think?
— Yeah, looking at it like that, she really does look like the queen when she was younger.
Yuu: (What are you talking about a six-month-old baby???)
Even though I didn't understand, they continued to pour out their praise and hopes for me, a baby just six months old....
Adding the fact that I am a half-dragon half-fairy being, I'm a special type. One who's able of seeing entities that exist as the forces of nature, completely invisible to the ordinary eye.
She looks at the different glowing spheres
Each of these entities is the guardian of something coming from nature.
Yuu: (I think it's a useless skill for someone with no interest in living...but thanks to the conversations I share with the spirits, I've been more reassured.)
{Yuu: You know, I think I also wish I could talk, express my feelings, scream, do something, but for that...it's too scary to think that no one...will believe my words again.}
When Malleus saw that his little sister looked sad, he picked her up from the maid's lap and took it to the top, then it came down again.
Malleus: It's okay, Yuu will be able to talk too. Your big brother will wait as long as it takes for that day to happen, no matter how long it may take. So Yuu...
Her eyes lit up at the boy's words of adoration, she looked at him and he smiled at her.
Malleus: Take as much time as you need.
Lilia: Oh here you are Malleus, ah and Yuu too.
Said the eldest fairy as she approached holding a little silver haired boy in her hand.
Lilia: Silver greet Your Highnesses.
The little boy shyly made a reference and spoke
Silver: Salutations to the bright light and the wonderful flower of the kingdom.
This little boy...his name is Silver I believe he is 2 years older than me or something. Apparently he is a human child adopted by Lilia. He might become a knight when he grows up or something.
Lilia: Very well Silver, you did it right.
He stared at the princess and seems to have remembered something, he ran away and soon came back with his arms behind his back, shyly he held out a pink flower to the princess
Silver: For the princess, I thought the flower would match her dress.
Yuu: (It's amazing how a child can be so innocent, it can be a little bothered, but if I try...)
She stretched her arms towards Silver, and started to make motions signaling to pick up the flower, Malleus crouched and the baby's small hand grabbed the stem of the flower, making the little silver haired boy smile. Behind them, you can hear the maids dying of cuteness and you can say the same for Lilia, who was delighted with her little ones.
Lilia: Now that I think about it, Yuu's birthday is already approaching.
Nursemaid: Yea! After all, the princess is already 10 months old.
I moved my hands. My hands are still so small and I can't believe 10 months have passed since I was born again.
Lilia: On your first birthday, we will celebrate with a great banquet. As she grew up so well, healthy and strong, wouldn't you agree that this is a great reason why all citizens should celebrate?
Malleus: Banquet…?
Nursemaid: But if it's a banquet...will she be okay? Your Highness is extremely shy, so this could overload her....
The nursemaid was a little vague in her speech. Malleus looks at his baby sister and speaks.
Malleus: She may be right Lilia, Yuu has a hard time getting used to servants in general, but if we expose her to an environment like a banquet...
Yuu: (The nursemaid and the prince seemed to have this misunderstanding due to my habit of avoiding people all the time.)
The prince looked at her with concern. Malleus felt a light pat on the back, as if Lilia had told him everything was fine.
Lilia: Don't worry, we'll all be there with her. She will be safe.
Malleus looked at his baby sister and smiled, running his hand over her cheek
Malleus: You might be right. Lilia?
Lilia: Yes?
Malleus: I want the biggest, most lavish banquet the Valley of Thorns has ever seen! If it's for my little sister, I don't want any efforts to be spared!
Yuu: (A banquet...? For me...? Just to celebrate my existence...?)
I looked at the two of them and felt a place in my heart suddenly darken.
As a baby I've never done anything really interesting, nothing worth having a party in my honor... that's weird for me. In my past life, we, siblings had to vie for the king's throne and attention. Great deeds were applauded and commemorated...but I was never able to do anything as I was always locked in a room. I never got any parties to commemorate something like my birth or existence.
But like it's no big deal....
The Crown Prince declared a banquet especially for me, just to honor the day of my birth.
He loves me. And he would let all the people know about it. Until me. He and everyone else wanted to demonstrate and let me know that. That they all loved me.
Are so different from my family from my past life. My mother, who gave birth to me alone, was the only one who looked at me with love and even then she died before I even met her. And the only one my father mattered was his successor, Phillip. With only one exception. The princess, daughter of the second empress, Aura.
Thinking about her suddenly gave me a headache. When I groaned, the prince, who quickly realized, hugged me.
Malleus: What's wrong Yuu? Don't you feel good? Is there something that is bothering you?
The eyes that looked at the baby princess were filled with concern.
When I looked into his eyes, I saw his face, he showed real concern for me...somehow I felt my headache subside
As the princess calmed down, the prince smiled happily and shook her a little, as if to say that everything was fine.
Malleus: It's better now? It already looks better. It's a relief.
Butterflies flew in the indoor glass garden and the beautiful flowers bloomed. The smell of black tea that was present in the air, the sunlight and the sound of birds echoing everywhere. The princess closed her eyes just to absorb all those good sensations.
Yuu: (Everything is so wonderful, it seems like a dream.)
Malleus: Yuu, you have your elder brother and your guardian here by your side to protect you.
The prince whispered to the little girl in a warm voice.
Malleus: Don't worry, nothing scary will happen. Everyone will congratulate you on your birthday with happiness.
Lilia: It's going to be a wonderful day.
Saying that, he stroked her hair lightly.
Whenever I close my eyes and the darkness comes, I still remember the feeling of being chained and the despair of not even being able to know what was going to happen. But now, I lay illumined by this light, I was loved by the kingdom, and I received the love of the Crown Prince. And I could feel it.
The guardian, who had been silent, added
Lilia: I'm so glad Yuu came to us. I wish I could show you this happiness with the joy of the feast.
The baby was handed over to the nursemaid who sang a lullaby. It was a sweet song.
“Sleep tight beside the stars our baby.
From the front garden to the back...
The little lambs go to sleep too–
With birds wish to you sweet dreams.”
I closed my eyes. With the heat that envelops me, I fell asleep.
*****
When the princess opened her eyes, before she knew it, she was back in the palace. It was already night.
Now that I think about it since I was reincarnated I had a lot of nightmares and I always woke up in the middle of the night, and always the nursemaid or Lilia would come to calm me down. Seems like they always feel when I need them.
Yuu: (I didn't want to depend on anyone, but since a baby doesn't have much to do.)
She thinks with a sigh. She looks around.
Yuu: (It's dark. I must have fallen asleep from the lullaby and comfort I got from the prince.)
Everything was plunged into darkness. Silently, I called the spirits in my mind. They heard the call.
Yuu: (I don't like the darkness...)
{Yuu: Hello?}
Then the spirits began to approach one by one. Seeing them warmed my heart. Spirits that have been with me since I was born again, from the beginning. The spirits were more than friends to me.
{Yuu: If it were for all you, if I didn't have all you by my side, I would have given up on my new life a long time ago.}
I whispered in my heart and the little beings caressed me as if they wanted to comfort me. But somehow the spirits were a little strange. Especially the spirits of Light.
They looked up into the air and she felt like they were waiting for someone. The princess felt a little curious, so then got up a little.
{Yuu: What's happening?}
They were trying to tell me something.
The curtains opened faster, swaying slightly. Moonlight entered her room illuminating everything. It was the full moon. Behind the layers of white curtains, a bright purple light penetrated, and the light illuminated the entire room. She widened her eyes. And behind the curtain was a woman. She was a very mysterious woman, with green eyes that shone like the precious stones and black horns as sharp as her brother's.
— Child.
In this place, where only the moon was looking, there was an eerie silence.
Yuu: (Who is this…?)
She stared at the woman in surprise. Step by step, she came out from behind the curtain. She was also looking at the little one.
My blue eyes and your green eyes exchanged glances in the air.
Looking without turning her eyes, she slowly opened her mouth.
— It's true, she's special.
A low, resonant voice sounded in the room.
The mere sudden intrusion into the bedroom of the Valley of Thorns's one and only royal princess. Breaking through armored security is a danger, and not only that, she also knew I could see spirits.
Somehow...she was able....
If she could speak correctly, she would be constantly bombarded with questions, but she was just a baby and there were only two things she could do in this situation: Start crying and call other people right away or hold your breath silently for your life. Doubting which one to choose, the woman placed her finger in front of her lips as if reading her mind.
At that moment, a gentle breeze blew and the light of the full moon broke through the curtain. I could not believe. The woman approached slowly and looked at her. Hair like strands of black slowly fluttered.
— It's a really gracious baby.
Wait, I recognize you! I've seen her! In the paintings around the castle walls. Although I never stopped to look at the painting directly. Whenever he passed through certain corridors he saw several figures painted.
The spirits around her took a small shape and bowed as they said in unison.
{– We greet your majesty, the Queen.}
Yuu: (Queen?)
She couldn't believe it so looked at her face for a long time.
Yuu: (That means she's the queen of spirits?)
She began to shake little by little unconsciously. The pressure emanating from it was immense. She felt like she was out of breath. She closed her eyes tightly as the queen's hand began to reach out. She placed her hand gently on the princess's head and stroked it. The little one widened her eyes and saw the queen smiled slightly.
— Sorry for coming late, I suppose you haven't understood anything since you came into this world. But all I can tell you now is that you're really special.
She looked at her so softly and it didn't seem to match the aura she gave off
— Well, it's time for you to rest, it's not good babies to stay up that long.
She said lifting her hand and spinning it over the little girl's head, while a kind of bright yellowish powder fell
— This spell will make you fall asleep quickly and make you have happy dreams.
Yuu: (No, wait a minute!)
But there was no time to react, drowsiness began to take over her body and although she tried to open her eyes very hard to keep from falling asleep, it didn't work. The last thing she saw was the queen's happy smile and her mouth saying:
Good night, my little princess Yuu.
to be continued...
Never apologize for a delay of noter part of a masterpiece!!💕💕💕💕 aaah K loved it again😭💕💕

Kisekae Insights #45: Kamen Rider Zi-O Part 3 - Road to the King
Tumblr media
“The last of the Kamen Riders have been gathered as they await the passing down of their legacies. Once all their powers have been inherited, the path to the final chapter awaits. Hark the herald angels sing, rejoice for the one true king!”
Last time, we saw Ohma’s Day being delayed for the time being as Sougo is tasked with obtaining the final six Ridewatches. With all the Riders now in 2019, the Time Jackers would resort to creating Another Riders in that year, meaning that the Legend Riders would be another obstacle in their plans. Also, Kensuke Nitta still remains despite Geiz Revive’s future no longer coming to pass. What are his plans and why did I write this into the plot? Let’s find out now.
Episode 21: Unknown Memory ~ Awaken the Agito 2001 ~
In the original series, we never knew who Another Agito’s identity was. No, it’s not Kino from Decade. In this version, Swartz goes to the Tomb of the Unnamed Lover in the Valley of Dusk (in Salacia) and uses the Agito Anotherwatch to resurrect the slain husband of Mermaid Princess Selena as Another Agito.
G3 is working with the Minato-Sugaru Police to establish a G3 Unit on the island. Meanwhile, Zhuge Sōta, Zhuge Shu’s son, is working with Duante at the Surf Shop Agito, which replaces Restaurant Agito from the original.
In the last episode, we learnt that Kazuto was originally a member of the resistance in 2068 before he was revealed to have been a spy for Ohma Zi-O, giving them false information that would lead to them being slaughtered. Luna was found in 2068 with no memories; not knowing her real name, the resistance decided to name her Luna. In this episode though, Luna unconsciously causes herself to freeze time. Swartz notes that Luna’s power is reawakening and that it is only a matter of time before she remembers the truth.
Episode 22: Sea Amazons ~ Unlock the Quartzer 2016 ~
This is an original episode that follows from the events of the Agito tribute. The Amazon Riders are attacking the city alongside Kamen Rider Woz. This Woz, though, isn’t Kazuto, but Kensuke. Despite having his Rider power stolen from him, Kensuke still had some lingering power left which was used to manifest the Zi-O Trinity Ridewatch earlier. This means that he can still transform into Kamen Rider Woz, he just can’t use the Jikan Despear or his Futurering forms. He is therefore Kamen Rider Proto Woz. To differentiate between Kazuto and Kensuke, Kazuto will tend to use his Futurering forms more often.
Kensuke has established a new organisation called Quartzer, gathering anyone from unaffiliated Riders, monsters or soldiers to establish a new future with himself as the keeper of time. Quartzer in the original series is a group played by ISSA and the members of DA PUMP who are the antagonists of the movie Over Quartzer, a rehash of All Riders vs. Dai-Shocker which I hate because it robs the protagonists of their agency. It’s like the Timeless Child arc of Doctor Who, only not as bad. Because Kensuke was inspired by Sougo to establish Quartzer, everything else that happens with them is kind of his fault. Insert surprised Pikachu face here.
Kensuke’s plan, with the Amazon Riders under his wing, is to flood Swansea by using Tlaloc particles to control the water. Akeno Shiranui (New Omega) and Miss Marla (Neo Alpha) are revealed to be spies for the goddess Salacia. Together with Salacia, Windy Adams and Duante, Zi-O and co stop Quartzer’s plans, however Kensuke has a tablet (similar to that of Luna’s) which he uses to summon simulations of Riders and monsters that move and act like the real thing. In this episode, Kensuke summons the Mole Amazon (second form) and the Crow Amazon along with Dark Kabuto, Orga and Dark Drive.
Sougo asks Luna if she would like to become a Kamen Rider someday, but Luna says that she would rather stay as she is because she always saw being a Kamen Rider as a boys’ thing. Luna is told that it isn’t just a boys’ thing because there are a few girls who are Kamen Riders and Sougo offers to see what he can do.
Episode 23: Entering the Reiwa Era ~ Hit the Beat Keep Your Beat 2005 ~
As the title of this episode implies, we have entered May 2019, when Japan transitioned from the Heisei era to the Reiwa era. The Hibiki tribute is extended from the original and combined with the Magica tribute for a two-parter episode with a mix of original and adapted plotlines.
Aside from Marcela (Hibiki), Marli (Ibuki), Caramelo (Todoroki) and Delfi (Zanki), all the other Oni Riders have joined Quartzer. Takumi Kamijō is shown struggling against the rebel Oni Riders when Marli, Caramelo and Delfi offer their assistance to him. Another Hibiki and Another Magica are respectively Kyōya and Kasumi Shinomiya from another universe, only they have different names. The two Another Riders were respectively created by Heure and Ora.
Sougo has dreams of marrying Akari Ichigo, but he doesn’t know who she is. Later that day, after witnessing Todoroki chasing after Another Hibiki during their fight, Sougo and Geiz are met by Marcela, who offers them the Hibiki Ridewatch if they undergo special training. Because it’s not Sougo’s birthday, Kazuto doesn’t join in the training to find out a way to celebrate because there’s nothing to celebrate here. Sougo and Geiz can’t keep up with Hibiki and she tells them to go lift some weights.
Luna and Kazuto inform Sougo and Geiz of Another Hibiki’s reappearance; the latter two go to help Caramelo fight him while the former two meet with Takumi, Marli and Delfi, who are trying to find Yuki Yamaki (Magica) in the hope of finding out what Quartzer is planning with their friends. Kensuke arrives and he fights Kazuto, only for Ora to send in Another Magica to stop the fight. Meanwhile, Marcela learns from the Disk Animal Akanetaka that Another Hibiki and Another Magica are from another universe.
Later, Sougo and co are confronted by Kensuke, Another Magica and the Oni Riders. Though the Quartzer forces are defeated, Kensuke’s trump card arrives in the form of Yuki Yamaki, who transforms into Magica and defeats Zi-O and the other Riders with a finisher attack…
Episode 24: Shatter the Unchangeable ~ The Bow of Justice 2008 ~
Yuki Yamaki explains to Marcela and Takumi that he sided with Quartzer because time is about to be violated on a level never seen before and that the rise of Ohma Zi-O caused it. Sougo fights Yuki again but he is defeated, with Kensuke telling everyone that they will meet again at the time of Orochi.
Back at 9TO5, Takumi explains to Sougo that he is his son, which comes to Mark’s shock until they explain that Takumi was joking. Marcela explains that Kensuke is planning to manually trigger Orochi by channelling massive amounts of Ongeki power into the Earth and causing hordes of Makamou to roam the earth. Suddenly, the sky turns dark as Another Magica causes witches, familiars, Nightmares, Wraiths and Uwasa (rumours) to be summoned around the city, which is surrounded in an artificial witch barrier created by it.
The Riders head out and deal with the chaos. Zi-O, Geiz and Woz knock Another Magica out of the sky, but Yuki arrives and summons illusions of his Torchwood Pleiades comrades to fight them. Suddenly, the Orochi ceremony is about to begin and the Quartzer forces fall back, taking down the artificial witch barrier in the process.
The Disk Animal Asagiwashi, which Marcela gave to Yuki when they last saw each other, returns to the former; Yuki tells Marcela where Quartzer is conducting their plans, informing her that he has a plan to betray Quartzer at the last minute and that Jaune and Goldina are willing to help him.
Sougo and co head to Afan Forest Park, where the Ace Riders and the summoned Psyga, Skull and Exceed Gills stand in their path. Kensuke confronts Sougo, Geiz and Kazuto as Zi-O Trinity, telling them that the rebel Oni Riders don’t have enough Ongeki power to trigger Orochi and that only the Ongeki power of Hibiki, Ibuki and Todoroki, being the strongest masters of percussion, wind and string Ongeki, have enough power to do so. Sougo wonders whether he should keep fighting Kensuke or stop Hibiki and the others, but Kensuke and the rebel Oni Riders manage to keep him distracted.
Yuki goes to destroy a pillar that Quartzer hammered into the earth that would absorb the Ongeki power and trigger Orochi, but he is backstabbed by Jaune and Goldina just as he does so; Kensuke anticipated his treachery and allowed the two princesses to accompany him so he could see what he would do. Kensuke and the Quartzer Riders decide to retreat, but Another Hibiki and Another Magica still stand in their way. Zi-O Trinity and Hibiki defeat Another Hibiki while Magica and Serranon defeat Another Magica.
However, when the four Riders meet with Marli, Caramelo and Delfi in a clearing, a mutant Bakegani comes up from the ground, having been woken by the Ongeki power. The seven Riders work together to defeat the mutant Bakegani and neutralise Orochi in a special Ongekidou ceremony sequence replicating that of the final battle in Decade episode 19, with Hibiki, Ibuki and Todoroki playing their respective instruments on the Bakegani while Zanki, Zi-O Trinity (percussion), Magica (wind) and Serranon (strings) acting as support on the ground. Sougo, Geiz and Kazuto are also shown beating on taiko drums within the shared space of Zi-O Trinity’s consciousness.
Following this, Sougo reunites Kyōya and Kasumi with their parents, who are a version of Sougo and Akari from another universe. They were the couple he saw getting married in his dream. Marcela and Yuki allow Sougo and Geiz to take their Rider powers, leaving three Watches remaining to be collected.
Episode 25: Hearts Come Together ~ Finally Time 2021 ~
This episode adapts the Kiva tribute plot, but the Kiva tribute is excised so that the episode fully focuses on Kamen Rider Ginga. This is also a crossover episode with the Soulbound series that takes place after the events of that series.
In space, Soulbound protagonists Shinbu Serizawa, Mogoro Kuwabara and Eigen Kasamisoka evade Kamen Rider Ginga’s attacks in the Barrier Base as they try to hold on. Shinbu manages to hit Ginga with a cannon blast that knocks him away, but the Barrier Base has taken too much damage and they land on Minato-Sugaru Island to repair. Harking to the Den-O tribute arc, the three seek the help of Mark to help them repair some parts in the Barrier Base because of course he would know. While doing so, they meet Sougo and co and they tell them all about their adventures in the multiverse. Soon, they are attacked by Kensuke, Topsy the Kangaroo and Melanie Yang who they begin fighting, but they decide to help the civilians when Kensuke’s Kurokage Troopers attack them.
The Riders assist two civilians who resemble Copper Plume (by ImperfectXIII) and Rally Flag; the Barrier Base trio see this and immediately stop them because they are Ginga’s disciples. Sure enough, the two kick the Riders away before they transform into Kamen Riders Wakusei and Taiyou. Sougo, Geiz and Kazuto fight them off, but the two are no match for them. Later, Dark Lugiel, aka Storm Dasher/Hikaru Tomokaze, would arrive in a meteor. Wakusei and Taiyou would combine with Dark Lugiel to become Kamen Rider Ginga. After Shinbu, Mogoro and Eigen fail to fight Lugiel, allowing him to transform into Ginga, Zi-O Trinity fights Ginga but to no avail, forcing everyone to retreat.
Ginga, Wakusei and Taiyou’s backstory is that in some universe, they were weighed down by regrets and left behind by the times because of lost loves, missed opportunities and passed-on possibilities. Dasher merged himself with Dark Lugiel and Copper and Rally sold their souls to him for power, allowing Ginga to become a Rider of raw, unfiltered power that will lead universes to extinction. Ginga’s existence was brought to the attention of the Barrier Base trio and they pursued him to Sougo’s universe.
Sougo’s group, the Barrier Base trio, the Time Jackers and Quartzer form a temporary alliance to deal with Ginga and his disciples. During the battle, Ginga is weakened and separated upon being hit by Zi-O, Geiz and Woz as the sky becomes cloudy. However, when the sun shines again, Ginga is able to combine again and continue fighting at his most powerful. Ginga is eventually defeated and his power harvested into a blank Miridewatch by Swartz which is then taken by Kazuto. Dasher, Copper and Rally manage to escape. Because of Wakusei and Taiyou’s addition into the series, the Ginga Miridewatch contains the power of three Riders and not just one.
Kensuke summons the Kabutick Riders and sets them on the group, but Kazuto transforms into Woz Ginga Finally for the first time to defeat them. Since his proclamation was shortened in the original episode, I’ve taken the effort to make an extended proclamation here:
“Rejoice, one and all, for my power has traversed time and space to become the strongest in the universe. And my name is Kamen Rider Woz Ginga Finally! Bear witness to a new stage of my evolution!”
At the end of the episode, Mark has finished fixing the Barrier Base parts and Shinbu, Mogoro and Eigen farewell everyone as they leave.
Episode 26: Brothers from Hell ~ Next Level Kabuto 2006 ~
This episode is another close adaptation of the original with some alterations. In the original, only PunchHopper was a Worm, but in this version, both of the Hell Brothers are copied by Worms. KickHopper still becomes Another Kabuto as with the original.
Because Hiro Mizushima was blacklisted* from Toei productions by his former agency, Ken-On, for breaking his contract and going on to start his own agency so that he could look after his wife who was sick at the time, Yuki Satou reprised his role as Kagami Arata/Kamen Rider Gatack and would go on to become Kamen Rider Kabuto as well in the Kabuto tribute arc. In this version, Tommy Cooper (Kabuto) is stated as having gone to Brazil to study the teachings of Monja Coen, but when Kyle Bonlin (Gatack) is defeated in the final battle against Another Kabuto and PunchHopper, Tommy returns and Kyle is effectively sidelined due to the original footage.
When Luna uses her time powers to save a mother and her child, she sees visions of her younger self with her family in the supercomputer on Never Land (they are obscured but Fifi’s head is a dead giveaway). Hiroki approaches Luna and takes her into the supercomputer in his universe where they indeed meet the rest of her family, consisting of her mother Fifi Forget-me-not; her older brother Takuhiro; and her father, a younger version of Swartz. The present Swartz discovers this and kicks them out before having Hiroki take Luna back to her time so she can stop the gargantuan meteor.
Mark making sandwiches is the alternative to onigiri in the original. At least we show that Mark is actually making sandwiches and not just calling onigiri “sandwiches”, let alone “jelly donuts”.
And before you ask, we corrected Gatack’s belt voices in this version of the episode. Fuck Shinichirō Shirakura and Kyōhei Yamaguchi.
(* yeah, apparently people, even the man himself, are saying that Hiro Mizushima wasn’t blacklisted, but he’s barely been in anything since 2016 and while it is true that he wasn’t asked to reprise his role in Zi-O, maybe agencies and production companies aren’t going out of their way to look for him because he’s still shadowbanned from the industry and they fear getting blacklisted.)
Episode 27: All Hearts Unleashed ~ Grand Climax 2007 ~
Kamen Rider Shugo is defeated by Nega Shugo, Shugo Nexta and Shugo Special and her Shugo belt is confiscated. However, Zhuge Qiao reveals that she still has the Shugo Ridewatch before she rushes to give it to Sougo. It is revealed that the three are trying to prevent this because they saw into Ohma Zi-O’s future through the Road of Stars.
Sci-Twi is struggling to juggle her work, social life and personal life when Ora transforms her into Another Shugo and tells her to unleash the hearts of everyone on Minato-Sugaru Island. Dasher Arekawa leaves Wallflower Blush’s apartment when Another Shugo unleashes their X-Egg and Mystery Egg, turning them into the Rat Fangire and Mole Imagin. Another Shugo continues to do this with the rest of the people in the city.
As Zi-O Trinity and Shugo attempt to deal with Another Shugo’s forces, the other three Shugos and Kensuke alongside the summoned Fifteen and Bujin Gaim stand in their way. Tsukasa Amakawa is shown to be working for Quartzer, but then Kensuke knows that he is a spy because of all the spies he found in his army previously.
Eventually, Zhuge Qiao is allowed to give the Shugo Ridewatch to Sougo, allowing him to combine the 20 Ridewatches and transform into Grand Zi-O, with the initial transformation being stretched out to fit with the length of the standby announcement. Zhuge Qiao can’t transform into Shugo as a result of this, but she remembers that she only put half of her Rider power into her Ridewatch because she knew her comrades would try to take her belt away from her. Sougo uses his power to recover the Shugo Belt and allow Zhuge Qiao to transform once again. Another Shugo, the Rat Fangires, Mole Imagin and Quartzer Riders are defeated and everything goes back to normal.
This episode featured the Humane Six and Shadowbolts along with Big Mac, the Equestria Girls counterparts of the Wonderbolts and some other OCs not seen before in the series, namely Sierra Nightingale (by NightieTime), this universe’s versions of Copper Plume and Rally Flag, Winter Sky, Paladin Colt (to be changed to Shadow Warp in 3.0) and Skittle (by Skittle_Cuddler, not to be mistaken for a different OC than the one in the description).
At the end of the episode, Sougo disappears as Swartz prepares to make his move with Hiryuu Kakogawa. Sougo ends up in 2068 where he prepares to face off against Ohma Zi-O…
Episode 28: The Reverse Overlord ~ Reset World 2019 ~
Grand Zi-O fights Ohma Zi-O, but Ohma Zi-O is able to hijack the former’s summoning of Drive to defeat him, revealing that he hasn’t actually obtained the Drive Ridewatch yet.
Sougo is sent back to 2019 (two months after his disappearance), where Hiryuu has taken over Minato-Sugaru Island as Another Zi-O II and his friends don’t remember him, with even Kazuto siding with the new demonic overlord. Hiryuu’s motivation for doing this is because he felt humiliated by Sougo’s shallow platitude to let go of the past and live for the present. Hiroki manages to rescue Sougo from Hiryuu before Narutaki infiltrates Hiryuu’s base. Swartz catches Narutaki and gives her some of his power, allowing her to freeze time as well, which she uses to take the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch.
Luna is captured by the Time Jackers and brought to Swartz; in the original, it is revealed that Luna’s counterpart is Swartz’s little sister, but in this version, Swartz confirms that Luna is his daughter.
New OCs featured in the Another Zi-O II arc include Danielita/Dany Melody (by Danielitamlp), Draco (Knight) Blaze, Roxy Vorpal Sword (by Dynasty-Dawn) and Shy Wishes.
Episode 29: The False King ~ Luna Confidential 2019 ~
The first half of this episode concludes the Another Zi-O II arc from the previous episode. Swartz reveals (or rather confirms) to Luna and the other Time Jackers that they are indeed the family from the Never Land supercomputer shown 3 episodes ago; Swartz is the Hiroki avatar, Ora is Fifi Forget-me-not, and Heure is their son Takuhiro, whereas Luna was created after the events of Decade and was actually named Mahina.
In the original, Swartz only took back Ora’s time power whereas in this version, he takes back Heure’s time power as well before going on to take Luna’s reawakened time power as well. He mentions that their time powers were gifted to them by Hiroki Ichigo; hold onto that thought for now.
Swartz erased his family’s memories and changed their appearances in order to evade detection from their enemies. When Luna asks why she didn’t remember the other Time Jackers, Swartz explains that someone made him realise that she would get in the way, so on top of erasing Mahina’s memories and suppressing her time power, he threw her into the Time Vortex and left her to die where she would end up. Mahina ended up in 2068 and would be named Luna by the Resistance.
Narutaki gives the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch to the Time Jackers so they can give it back to Sougo. Kazuto manages to escape with Luna once he has taken her time power. Sougo, Geiz, Kazuto and Hiroki work together to defeat Another Zi-O II and his Another Rider Army. During the battle, Decade’s power is stolen into an Anotherwatch thanks to Gold Drive’s help. Hiryuu is defeated and Narutaki takes the Zi-O II Anotherwatch for herself, Hiryuu being of no use to Swartz anymore. Swartz asks Sougo to choose which of the three paths he will choose; his friends, Hiroki Ichigo, or Ohma Zi-O.
The second half of the episode skips ahead to adapt episode 47. With the world now restored, Sougo and the others try to work out what Swartz is planning when he makes his move, transforming into Another Decade and sending out monsters to attack all over the island.
Hiroki takes Sougo and Luna back to the supercomputer in an effort to find out what Swartz was planning; it is revealed that his ultimate plan is to subjugate humanity and become the king of time himself. When Swartz saved Hiroki’s soul after he destroyed his own body, he ended up absorbing his memories and negative emotions while also obtaining the power to control time. Swartz’s ultimate goal is to take revenge on humanity for how they treat people like Hiroki for being who they are. He intended to do so by going to another universe and making the Sougo of that timeline, aka the other Sougo, become the king of time, then have him liberate Hiroki in the past (before he became Hiroki) and make him become the Sougo we’ve been following throughout this series. Meanwhile, Swartz would covertly assist the main Sougo by creating the Another Riders, then once the main Sougo became the king of time, he would then take his power for himself and rule in place of the two Sougos.
It is then that Sougo poses the possibility of Luna growing up to be stronger than her father, which then leads him to throw Mahina into the Time Vortex and establish the Time Jackers. Sure, the whole show is an idiot plot, but the whole show revolves around time just like Doctor Who. The whole thing’s a satire to myself, Shinichirō Shirakura and the toku fandom. Anyway, Swartz sends a blast at them and Hiroki takes it, killing him in the process. Narutaki uses the Zi-O II Anotherwatch to revive Hiroki, but it transforms her into Another Zi-O II. Hiroki takes the Decade Ridewatch from Sougo and uses it to recover his Rider power, because he placed half of his power into it anticipating that something like this would happen.
Decade and Zi-O work together to defeat Another Zi-O II, but after this, Geiz and Kazuto report that warships have surrounded the island. It is then that the Riders are confronted by Kensuke once again, leading the Teiro Army led by Akari’s cousins…
Episode 30: Reconciling the Truth ~ Full Throttle 2014 ~
In the original Zi-O, there was no real Drive tribute arc as it was split between the Over Quartzer movie and the series finale arc, therefore we never got to see Sougo inheriting Drive’s power. Let’s fix this right now as we adapt the final arcs of Zi-O into this episode.
Daniel is the new Kamen Rider Drive (replacing Shinnosuke Tomari) and David is Another Drive. Three more cousins also appear as Kamen Riders Zerodrive, Protodrive and Overdrive (Super Dead Heat Drive). Together with Mach and Chaser, they cause a time slowdown that affects the whole of the island except for Kazuto as Woz. They then make the slowdown stronger, equivalent to the Time Jackers’ abilities, before defeating Zi-O, Geiz, Woz, Decade and Gold Drive with their Rider Kicks, Kensuke following that up with a Time Explosion. This destroys the Drive Ridewatch and causes the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch to disappear. It is revealed that while Akari’s cousins don’t have any beef with Hiroki, their beef is actually with Sougo for the past. Diend and Kuuga lead some Riders to escape as the chaos continues, the other Riders assisting where they can.
Thanks to this attack, Sougo begins to remember his past before becoming Zi-O. After leaving his secondary school army in July 2012 at the age of 14 to become a ronin, he walked through a portal and ended up in the midst of the Ohma War. As a result, the Sougo we’ve been following is a parallel isotope of Hiroki, having been displaced from his timeline due to Ohma Zi-O and Swartz’s machinations. The Ohma Zi-O in 2068 is the older version of the other Sougo, who is native to this timeline. He was the one whose parents were killed in the bus accident and Swartz purposefully made Hiryuu lash out at the main Sougo. It is possible that Ohma Zi-O fabricated Sougo’s history (as shown on Luna’s tablet in the first episode) to obfuscate the truth of his origins.
On top of this, Geiz and Kazuto aren’t actually from the future; they are parallel isotopes brought to 2068 nearly a year before Sougo was. Geiz was brought into the future thanks to “some woman” while Kazuto was a prisoner of war just as he told Sougo before. Mark finally learns the truth about Sougo and his friends being Kamen Riders (like they weren’t doing a good job of keeping it a secret in the first place) and encourages them to continue using their powers to protect the people.
Sougo decides to face off against Ohma Zi-O again while Geiz, Kazuto, Hiroki and Narutaki deal with Drive and Quartzer. Luna also tells Sougo that she has made her decision to become a Kamen Rider as well. Before Sougo heads for 2068, however, Hiroki warns him that he will need to make a choice as to whether he wants to stay in this timeline or go back to his original timeline with him; if he stays here and becomes king, his original timeline will be destroyed, but if he goes back, he will never be a king or a Kamen Rider until he becomes Hiroki. Sougo says that Swartz gave him a similar choice and that if there was another option that doesn’t involve sacrificing either timeline, he will happily take it.
Geiz, Kazuto, Hiroki and Angela arrive to assist the other Riders as the rest of Quartzer arrives to help Kensuke and the Drive Riders. With the Drive Riders defeated, the Drive Anotherwatch is destroyed while Andrew takes Drive’s power from Daniel to regain the Drive Ridewatch. Despite this, Swartz’s monster army is still attacking the island and to make things worse, Zerodrive, Protodrive and Overdrive don’t care that their other cousins have decided to stop fighting.
In 2068, Sougo has his rematch with Ohma Zi-O and manages to gain the upper hand by using Zi-O Trinity, saving Geiz and Kazuto from being defeated by Another Decade and the three rogue Drives using the Trailer Cannon recklessly. Zi-O Trinity defeats Ohma Zi-O before Sougo sends Geiz and Kazuto back. Sougo confirms that while the Ohma War dream he had was caused by his amnesia, the other dreams he had been having were Ohma Zi-O psychically projecting them to him through time. He learns about Ohma Zi-O’s true power to create and destroy time before asking him to make Luna a Kamen Rider. Instead of having the time loop shit where Sougo meets Geiz and Luna in the midst of a fight against Ohma Zi-O, Ohma Zi-O infuses some of his power into a blank Ridewatch and gives it to Sougo, who quickly heads back.
Luna is still being attacked by the three Drives when Another Decade suddenly defends her for some reason. When Another Decade comes to his senses, Sougo returns with the Ridewatch and together with a Ziku Driver from Kazuto, Luna transforms into Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi for the first time and defeats the rogue Drives alongside Mach and Chaser. After this, Sougo, having regained the Grand Zi-O Ridewatch, challenges Another Decade again. In the original version, this would be where the main Sougo becomes Ohma Zi-O, but instead in this version, his friends are there to help him. Swartz is defeated and his summoned monsters are eradicated, but before he retreats however, he takes back the time power he gave to Narutaki and also takes a portion of her Rider power to create the Gold Drive Anotherwatch.
Elsewhere, Hiryuu is found by Kensuke, who offers him another opportunity to become king by giving him the task of collecting the fifteen Ancient (Showa) Kamen Rider Ridewatches and obtaining a power rivaling that of Ohma Zi-O…
Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi was only introduced in the finale of the original series so all plots and fights involving her are original to this version.
Also, on the Rider Wiki episode pages for the three-part finale, I attempted to create a list of all the monsters that appeared in those episodes, but my changes were undone by the jannies. I understand if they wanted to maintain a consistent format for episode pages, but at the time of writing, they have monster lists for Decade’s premiere episode and the Wizard epilogue two-parter. As such, here is a list of all the monsters that appeared in the adapted arc, including monsters exclusively seen in this version. Fuck Rider Wiki jannies.
Gurongi: N·Daguva·Zeba
Mirror Monsters: Darkwing, Volcancer, Evildiver, Metalgelas, Omegazelle, Biogreeza, Dragblacker, Raydragoons, Hydragoons
Makamou: Bakegani, Amikiri, Ooari, Ubume, Ittanmomen
Dopants: Violence Dopant, Utopia Dopant, Masquerade Dopants
Yummies: Bison Yummy, Kuzu Yummies
Zodiarts: Orion Zodiarts, Sagittarius Zodiarts, Dustards
Phantoms: Argos, Ghouls
Inves: Shika Inves, Lion Inves, Elementary Inves
Roidmudes: Mashin Chaser (original only), Blazer Roidmude (this version only), Plain Roidmudes
Gamma: Katana Gamma, Gamma Commando
Bugsters: Revol Bugster, Gamedeus, Bugster Virus
Faust: Guardian, Kamen Rider Evol
So with this, the entire plot of Kamen Rider Zi-O has been adapted. However, there are ten episodes left, the Time Jackers and Quartzer are still standing, and Sougo is still yet to become Ohma Zi-O. Join us next time when we arrive in the final days of this timeline.

Hmmmm...
... Well. They had me for most of it. They did. They really did.
And then they... Kinda lost me.
Brief thoughts (aka my personal reaction) on Zi-O 22 below. I’ll do a full ramble when I’ve got more rest, better video maybe, and more time.
But I’m not kidding. They had me. I was loving it. It was adorable.
And then the ending.
Sougo seemed like a totally different person? Like... More than ‘I fused w/ my Mirror Shadow’? Like, Tsukuyomi’s sitting on the ground holding Geiz’s dead body, practically in tears and he just... Didn’t appear to care? At all? Like, okay, maybe this is confirmation of one of my possible theories for him becoming Puma Zi-O bc the certain power ups fuck his mind up--kinda like Hazard Form but more subtle?--but it was really jarring to me. Felt like a complete change from his previous behaviour, honestly. Very un-Sougo. Maybe part of this was that I was disappointed that it wasn't what I was hoping for, and I recognise that. And yeah, he had a way to reset things, but Geiz was literally dead and I feel like he coulda at least acknowledged it a little more. Especially after that conversation w/ Tsukuyomi at the beginning that she thinks part of Geiz’s change in behaviour was bc of Sougo (not that it’s his fault, Geiz did this bc even if he’s ‘going soft’ he’s still Geiz). Like, okay, maybe when there’s a proper translation, or he’ll have more of a response or remember it later, but... I dunno, it felt cold and distant and out of nowhere and Firebird doesn’t like it! (you have to read those last four words in the whiniest baby voice you can).
And then that really weird part at the end where Geiz and Tsukuyomi are standing on those random steps from, what, ep 2, again? And he’s even in the same outfit that he was in when he first came back in time? And they’re like... Talking to the camera? What the hell was that? I’m so confused, and really apprehensive.
The tea and the shirts have been moved to the highest priority standby where I can have them instantly if necessary.
And look. I’ve already accepted that the only Woz I like is Woz.5, who is never coming back. But Toei, do you think you could tell me what’s going on w/ the two that are still here?
Sigh. I guess at this point I should be expecting KR getting really weird and twisted part way through (from my perspective, this is all opinion). But sometimes I just... I wish I didn’t need to. I really love the reluctant friendship that this show has been giving me, and I still really hope the direction they go is that the Trio doesn’t split up at all, or only to save each other, or something... I want a ‘Puma Zi-O is our enemy but Tokiwa Sougo is our friend’ thing. If they’re doing a light and darkness balance thing w/ Zi-O, maybe have it be that the things anchoring him to the ‘light’ are Geiz and Tsukuyomi. I’d love a moment where maybe he almost loses control (if the powers are messing w/ his head--or something similar) but then realises he's hurting them and manages to overcome it or something.
I’d get really excited if they kept the pattern--they did give me Sougo using the Zi-O II Ride Watch despite his uncertainty bc he wanted to save Geiz, so maybe I can hope they’ll have it that Geiz ends up getting Geiz Revive bc he wants to save Sougo?--and it actually was important that they had gotten the powers in order to save each other? Alternatively, Geiz trying to avoid getting that power bc he’s afraid it might lock them into a future here Sougo does go evil and he has to kill him...
What am I doing, I said these would be brief. DX
Anyway. Proper ramble possibly tomorrow. Don’t know. Until then?

Ok, and sorry about the last question. Then how about a minifc of Kouta, Sougo, & Touma bonding over their poly-relationship.
In Which A Fruit Jesus, A Demon Overlord and a Cosmic Swordsman Bond Over Their Polycules
“So, how are things going for you and those three you’re dating, Touma?” Kouta asked him. “I heard you guys moved in together?”
“Yeah, we got a new place. It was getting a little cramped at mine, with Ise and the four of us.” Touma explained. “We got lucky, the place we found wasn’t far from the bookstore, and the master bedroom was big enough for the four of us.”
“Oh, so did that bed we gave you fit in there?” Sougo asked, obliviously innocent, causing Kouta to laugh and Touma’s eye to twitch.
“...Yes, it did.” Touma very reluctantly admitted. “Seriously though, you guys didn’t have to do all that for us.”
“Well, are you at least getting a lot of use out of it?” Sougo questioned. The novelist choked on his own breath, and Kouta laughed at how forward Sougo was being.
“Well, to be fair, it was Tsukasa’s idea, and we didn’t expect for Godai and the others to be so into the idea.” Kouta said. “What about you, Sougo?”
“Oh, we recently got our own place too! Tsuku’s uni was a bit too far from uncle’s. It’s pretty small but at least we don’t risk Uncle or Woz walking in on something they shouldn’t!” replied the youngest Rider with a carefree grin.
“Somehow hearing you say that you don’t want people walking in on you is kinda wrong...” Kouta said in an awkward tone.
“Eh? Is it?” Sougo asked.
“Weren’t you the one who got walked in on by your boyfriend’s brother?” Touma pointed out.
Kouta pouted. “Don’t remind me. I still can’t look Takatora in the eye after that,” he said. “For that matter, didn’t one of your other friends call your boyfriend out in the group chat because he overheard you going at it?”
“In my defense, I didn’t know his hearing was that good!” Touma interjected. “We didn’t think he could hear through the walls of a freaking fortress!”
“Well, it’s not like getting caught made you guys stop doing it right?”
Kouta and Touma stared at the youngest of them in shock. “You... How can you say such things with a straight face?!” Kouta asked incredulously.
“I’ve just accepted that I’m a simp for my Geiz and Tsuku,” Sougo stated simply. “Why should I be ashamed for loving them?”
“Huh. I didn’t expect something like that from you of all people, Sougo, but you’re right.” Kouta said approvingly.
“Thanks- hey wait, what’s that supposed to mean?”

*hiding behind a wall to see if commie accepts* Tsukasa (ot4) and Sougo(ot..4?), Z (found family)?
Z is for family
Junichiro laughs awkwardly. “I’m so sorry, Mr--Yuusuke, it feels like whenever you come here you end up repairing something.”
Yuusuke shrugs, grins. “I like having things to do with my hands, and there’s no sense in making you waste money on a plumber for something this simple to fix. And I’m going to teach Geiz how to do it too, so if it comes up again and you can’t get in touch with me he can take care of it.”
Blinking in surprise, Junichiro looks past Yuusuke’s shoulder to Geiz, who shrugs. “Woz hates being dirty and Sougo...uh...I kinda don’t think we should encourage Sougo to take apart stuff in the house. Um, no offense.”
“None taken, Geiz, I’ve known him longer than you have and I don’t know that I’d trust him to fix the toilet either, he’s, ah...”
“A little absent-minded?” is Yuusuke’s cheerfully diplomatic suggestion.
“Yes, exactly.”
A frustrated noise floats in from the dining room, and Geiz glances over nervously towards the doorway. “Maybe we should get started on that before Daiki actually manages to lose his temper.”
“I don’t think he’d really lose his temper over something like this.” Yuusuke also glances toward the dining room and frowns. “But then again, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him lose at chess this many times in a row.”
There’s a notable silence, and then the sound of Tsukuyomi saying, quietly, “Checkmate,” followed by Daiki’s aggrieved, “Where did you learn to play chess like that?”
“Yeah, let’s head upstairs, either he’s going to actually get upset or he and Tsukuyomi are about to have some kind of serious conversation and he’d be embarrassed if we overheard him, he hates getting serious in public.”
--
In the dining room, Tsukuyomi frowns at her queen and says, “I...I don’t actually know. I know how to play chess, but I don’t remembering...learning how to play chess. Or who taught me.”
Daiki's resetting the chessboard, so he doesn't look up at her, but he does say, "You know, sometimes I envy Tsukasa for having been allowed to forget things." Before Tsukuyomi can reply, though, "But then he'll go saying something like you just said and I remember how lucky I have it."
Tsukuyomi's frown gets a little deeper, but now she looks more confused than frustrated. "What do you mean?"
"Has he ever mentioned that he can't remember his parents' faces? Or their names?"
"He...no, he hasn't."
"Being able to forget is a blessing, but only if it's something you can allow yourself to do. Having it happen to you is a different thing entirely." He finishes setting up the pieces. "Sorry, I'm being gloomy, it happens sometimes."
Tsukuyomi peers at him for a moment before responding. “That’s why you started showing up to talk to Geiz, wasn’t it. Because of something you wish you could forget.”
Daiki still doesn’t look up at her. Now that the board’s reset he’s started fidgeting with the pieces again, picking up both kings and queens and rolling them in his hands. “You’re too sharp for your own good, you know that?” He puts the kings and queens down again in a little square in the center of the board. “I had a younger brother once. I failed him pretty badly.”
“I mean, apparently I had an older brother once, and he tried to kill me.” Tsukuyomi taps the white queen on the top of its little crown. “That’s also why you keep bringing me Watches.”
“Got it in one. You deserve a better brother. I think you four remind us all of ourselves.” Daiki looks down thoughtfully at the little square of pieces. “Hey, look, by the way, it’s you.” He taps the white queen just as Tsukuyomi did. “So I guess that’d make this one Sougo--” the black king, “and this one Geiz,” the white king.
She giggles. “And Woz is the black queen?”
“Well, it’s not a perfect one-to-one. I guess I could go with the black bishop, but guys who go by Bishop tend to be pretty ominous characters and he's not nearly as worrying as he used to be.”
“So if we’re like you guys, then which one of these are you?”
“Oh, we’re not chess pieces, we’re cards.” Rustling, and a Tarot deck emerges from one of the interior pockets of Daiki’s jacket. He slides it lovingly out of the box and flips through the deck, drawing four cards and laying them down on the table next to the chessboard--the King of Wands, the Queen of Coins, and the Knight of Swords, and the Page of Cups. “See? There’s Tsukasa, that’s Natsumi, obviously this one is Yuusuke, and that’s me.”
“You just...had that in your pocket? And...Cups is the one that turned into Hearts, right? You’re the Page of Hearts?”
They’re interrupted by a startled noise from the kitchen, Woz saying, “How did you get that--” as Tsukasa, at the same time, says, “Princess, we don’t play with kitchen knives, give me that.”
“Ooh, sounds like things are getting exciting in there.” Daiki’s face lights up with a genuine grin. “Anyway, you have no idea how much stuff I’ve got in my pockets, that’s right, and of course I am. The Knave of Hearts, he stole some tarts. Speaking of which...” The Tarot deck goes away, and is replaced by on the table by a deck of regular playing cards. “Why don’t we switch games? You know how to play poker?”
--
Tsukasa carefully takes the paring knife from Yuzuki and puts it back on the counter, farther back from the edge than it was before. “I’m pretty sure you grew, I don’t think you could have reached up there last week.”
She grins up at him. “Tall!”
“Yeah, that’s right, you’re very tall.”
Woz shifts nervously as she returns to the kitchen chair she’s been occupying and clambers up onto the seat. Once she’s occupied with her stacking cups again and in no apparent danger of getting her hands on another knife, he visibly relaxes. He picks a piece of dumpling filling from the mixing bowl with his chopsticks, deposits it in the wrapper in his hand, and passes the whole thing to Tsukasa. “I appreciate your assistance with this.”
Tsukasa shrugs and starts to crimp the dumpling shut. “I figure you’re probably not usually cooking for ten people.” Closed, the dumpling goes onto a sheet pan, where there are already at least fifty completed but uncooked pieces laid out.
“You might be surprised. Sougo and Geiz both eat a great deal.”
“And you don’t?” Tsukasa accepts another filled wrapper and looks Woz up and down. “I’ve seen you eat, it’s kind of amazing that you’re so skinny.”
“That’s...not unfair.”
They make dumplings in silence, Woz filling and Tsukasa crimping as the sheet pan becomes fuller and fuller. Eventually they have to get a second pan, and when they’ve got ten dumplings down on that, Yuzuki slides down from her chair with a thump and tugs on the hem of Woz’s shirt. “Woz. Woz. Woz.”
Woz looks down at her in alarm. “Yes?”
She points imperiously to the counter. “Book.”
“Ah...yes? That’s my book.”
A firm nod. “Woz, book.”
“She wants you to read to her.” Tsukasa puts aside another completed dumpling. “Right, princess?”
Yuzuki nods again. “Ok! Read book!”
Woz only looks more alarmed. “Why me?”
“Well, she knows it’s your book.”
“Yes, but my book is...” Woz glances to the side. “My book is not suitable for children.”
Tsukasa’s eyebrows go up. “Isn’t it? If the stories in there aren’t suitable for children then I don’t know what is.” He pauses. “I mean, maybe don’t read to her about the Amazon kids, the Greek ones, but otherwise. I can keep making dumplings by myself, I’ll be fine.”
Uncertain, Woz nods, puts aside the cooking chopsticks, and washes his hands before taking his book down from its spot on the counter. Yuzuki claps delightedly as he sits down in the kitchen chair and climbs up onto his lap with only minimal wincing on his part. “Woz, book! Thank you.”
His mouth twitches slightly, as if he’s trying not to smile, and Tsukasa winks at him. Then, carefully, he opens up the book and turns to a spot about sixteen pages in. “Long, long ago, there was a man who knew how to do one thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine things--”
“Big number.”
“Yes, very big. There was a man who knew how to do one thousand nine hundred and ninety nine things, and his name was Godai Yusuke.”
“Like Daddy! Yusuke!”
“Just like your father, yes. And he loved nothing more than the blue sky and to travel and have adventures...”
--
“Hm. A little to the left, please.”
Sougo blinks. “Which one?”
“The Ride Booker. Your big watch is so chunky that it’s actually managed to make the Booker look small, which is pretty impressive.” Natsumi frowns, peering at the screen on her camera, and then shifts slightly as Sougo adjusts the placement of the Ride Booker. “Yeah, there we go, that looks nice.”
She takes several pictures. They’re working outside in the sun, so she doesn’t use the flash, and after ten or so shots she nods in satisfaction and Sougo says, “Do you want me to rearrange them?”
“No, that’s fine, I’ve got what I wanted. Here, toss me the Booker, you can take your watch now.“
“Ok, here. Why did you want a picture of the Grand Zi-O watch?”
She shrugs. “I don’t get to do a lot of still photography, most of the studio’s business is portraits. I thought it’d be a nice change.” The Ride Booker goes into her bag, her camera goes back into its case, and she sits down on the bench they were using as a platform for the set-up. “Besides, the weather’s good today, it’s a nice excuse to get outside and get some fresh air.”
The Grand Zi-O watch fizzes away, presumably back to the bedside table in Sougo’s room, and he sits down next to Natsumi. “It is nice out today, yeah. But I mean, like. Why Rider stuff? Why not, I don’t know, nature photography?”
“Because I don’t get out in nature as much as I’d like, but Rider stuff’s been a lot of my life. Tsukasa takes all kinds of photos of Rider stuff, of course, and they’re kinda great for what they are, but they’re not really practical records. The story of the whole thing matters, and it’s easier if you’ve got clear pictures.”
“The story? What story?”
“Whatever story’s being told. That’s what photography’s for, to tell stories about our lives. You know, like, here’s when Ritsuko got married, and this is when Miki and his sister graduated high school, and here’s when we saved the world the first time and Tsukasa got turned into a giant belt for ten minutes.” She glances over at him and grins. “Anyway, I wanted to get a picture of his transformation whatsit with yours because it’s kind of funny to see him pick up a junior, I think it makes him feel better about himself knowing that he’s not the only one doing what he does.”
Sougo nods, frowning slightly. “Tsukuyomi said you’re a Rider too, but I’ve never seen you carrying anything that looks like Rider stuff, what do you use?”
“Oh, god, she’s around here somewhere.”
“...she?”
“Hey! Kiva-la! I know you’re here!”
And a little purple-and-white bat flits into view and says, “Obviously I’m here, what do you want?”
“Sougo wanted to know what I transform with. See,” to Sougo, “Tsukasa and Daiki just get cards, Yuusuke’s got his stone, but if I need to do hero stuff I have to deal with her.”
Sougo stares at Kiva-la wide-eyed for a moment before saying, “It’s, uh, nice to meet you? Ma’am?”
Kiva-la turns a loop-de-loop in the air. “I like him! No one’s ever polite to me! Anyway,” with a pout in her tiny voice, “Tsukasa said to tell you it’s time for dinner.”
--
The whole building smells like frying dumplings and cooking soup and good food in general, and Yuusuke and Geiz straighten up and put the lid back onto the back of the toilet moments before Woz says, in his most carrying, I-Am-Making-An-Announcement voice, “It is time for dinner,” echoed by Yuzuki’s enthusiastic shout of, “Dinner!”
Yuusuke’s face lights up. “Oh, perfect timing. Here, wash your hands, I’ll wash mine, and we can both head down.”
“Sounds good.” Geiz turns on the water and starts scrubbing his hands vigorously. “Thanks for showing me that, by the way, everyone else here is useless at repairs.”
“I mean, I don’t know that I’d put it that way...”
“No, seriously, I live with Sougo, he’s a space case. And Woz is...he’s Woz. He’s great, but he’s also Woz.” Geiz backs away from the sink and grabs a towel to dry his hands as Yuusuke starts to wash his. “Why’d you want to, though? Like I appreciate it, but what made you want to teach me something like this?”
“I like fixing things, and you seem like someone who needs to find more ways to relax.” Yuusuke accepts another hand towel. “Rider stuff is exhausting, it’s nice knowing how to do normal things too. Wow that all smells good, I’m so excited to eat a meal that I didn’t have to cook any of myself.”
As they head for the stairs, Geiz says, “No offense, but you seem...different, somehow, from Tsukasa and Daiki and Natsumi.”
“That’s because they’re huge drama queens.” Yuusuke grins at him. “I love them so much, you have no idea, but if we were all like that then nothing would ever get done around the house.”
Geiz stifles laughter.
Yuusuke’s grin just gets wider. “See, I knew you’d get it.”

A Southern Swordsman
Heroes' Odyssey: After a quick lookin at Z's battle with Destrudos, we witness the arrival of Zogu on earth, and how on the face of overwhelming destructive power, XiG stood with the Kaiju of earth and enabled Gaia and Agul to be reborn and overcome the odds.
Saber: Sneaking in to meet Master Logos is definitely a bold play, but that first scene does confirm Reika is getting orders from him. Zooous' rampage gives Storious a way to sneak in. While Yuri, Rintaro, Ren and Zooous all fight, Storious encounters the current Master Logos, who identifies him as one of the The First. A Southern Base Swordsman leads Touma to where Storious appears after finding his book. Storious' attempt to use the book knocks even himself down, allowing Touma to grab it, and as Legeiel attacks it activates and configures into Primitive Dragon, Touma, not himself, places Brave Dragon within, and transforms into the wild Primitive Dragon. And this is exactly what Master Logos wanted. Yuri senses this and rushes to the site, followed by Rintaro and Ren, and then Zooous, and all are witness to his destructive power.
Kiramager: Juru is dead, and they skipped the OP even though it isn't the final episode, we're getting serious here. Yodon sends Yodonna to retrieve the other Kanaema Stones. Energia to empower Oradin, Reversia to revert him to the Yodonna of 10 days ago, enabling Oradin to seal her, but as they go to use Destoria to destroy them, Yodon kills Yodonna, allowing his escape. Just as Yodon's victory seems assured, Crunchula grabs Illusia and Jouki appears, bringing Juru with it. OK, we're 3 for 3 now of members of the royal family placing their souls in Kiramai Stones rather than dying, but now Garza IS Jouki. But his soul gets burnt out by it, leaving Jouki in Juru's hands, dying wishing for a better relationship with Oradin.
Decade Vs Zi-O: So according to something I read, I've been watching these in the wrong order up until now, so let's try the correct order for these last two parts, where it'll matter most. Anyway, tensions are fraying amongst the survivors. Yusuke tries to keep the peace, nobody sees Oma Zi-O in the mirror behind him. The final round is announced, trying to find a treasure while avoiding being killed by Another Ryuki. Tsukasa finds a blade, Heurue finds a musket when Ora charges him with a cutlass, losing her nerve when he spots her, she then gets jumped and killed by Another Ryuki while he runs, only to be killed by the axe. While Sougo sits in melancholy the axe is thrown at him and he falls to his death. Tsukasa finds Yusuke, who shows the blade he found before attacking from behind with the axe, which Tsukasa blocks, I'm pretty sure he says this isn't his Yusuke, but Yusuke manages to stab him. As he gloats, Sougo appears, revealing himself as a robot, as does Heure, who reveals himself as Uchu Ninja Demost and flies away, and Misa reveals she was a spirit all along and vanishes. Yusuke rushes into the house to demand the reward, while Sougo helps Tsukasa in, where the masked jester arrives, revealing themself as Narutaki. He explains he was forced to organise the game by the True Sougo. Yusuke goes to attack him, but is killed by Oma Zi-O from the mirror. Narutaki explains that he brought Tsukasa here in the hopes he could stop Oma Zi-O, before Tsukasa and Sougo both Henshin, and Decade and Zi-O leap into the mirror. The pair fight with Oma Zi-O, tho is overpowering them when Diend, Kuuga and Kiva-la arrive to help, and Sougo hands Tsukasa the Saber Ridewatch. Despite the Riders' efforts, Oma Zi-O is victorious, and uses an attack that appears to unmake the world, and Sougo awakens, in school, to find it isolated in another world.
Zi-O Vs Decade: Swartz dubs Punk Sougo as Sougo D and Cute Sougo as Sougo E. Woz observes. Tsukuyomi and the boy are attacked by Inves, she defeats them but her leg is injured. The Sougo's continue their competition. Misa makes a move on Sougo C. Heure reveals Sougo C is actually Sougo A, C took his place to read the letter for him, but when Heure noticed he wasn't his Sougo C knocked him out, leading to the end of the previous episode. A explains C was only killed due to an unseen attack from Decade. B and D arrive as Tsukasa makes his presence known, explaining he intends to destroy the True Sougo, interesting D, who becomes Zi-O to challenge him, but Tsukasa defeats him and he vanishes. At night, Tsukuyomi tells the boy about Sougo and Geiz, who decides he wants to be named Sougo. Tsukasa looks like he might be vanishing. A helps Swartz prepare meat for the next day. The boy at A's festival stand finally gives up, but Geiz comes to see him. In the midst of the Sougo votes, Tsukasa let's the Inves into the school. Geiz fights the Inves while A goes to where B and E are confronting Tsukasa, who explains he's fighting to stop Oma Zi-O, the True Sougo. Sougo A and Tsukasa fight, while Sougo B stops E from joining. Tsukuyomi and the boy Sougo arrive at the site of Decade and Zi-O's battle, the site of Sougo awakening the boy's memories and power, as I understand it the world reset at the end of Decade Vs Zi-O reduced his power significantly, but when Sougo E becomes Zi-O and attacks him he still destroys him effortlessly. He tells them they must fight for the chance to acquire his power, but when Swartz appears and announces Sougo A has won the election, Sougo B decides not to fight and leaves, watched by Heure and Ora. The True Sougo becomes Oma Zi-O, his first attack at Sougo is taken by Heurue, who dies after giving Sougo his letter at last, Sougo then becomes Zi-O, and Tsukasa pulls out the K-Touch 21, transforming into Decade Complete Form 21, and Swartz also rejoins the fray, becoming Another Decade again. Despite the combined power of Zi-O and Decade, Oma Zi-O continuously overpowers them, and eventually deals a lethal blow to Tsukasa, who passes to Sougo the Saber Ridewatch, which he uses with the Decade Ridewatch to become Zi-O Decade Armour Saber Form. I'm not one to criticise the forms used in specials, but I really feel like they should have used Dragonic Knight for the undersuit here. As the two Zi-O's finishers meet, Tsukuyomi calls out for the boy Sougo to stop, his memories of their time together giving him enough pause that Zi-O manages to defeat to Oma Zi-O. Tsukasa vanishes from the world, seeming satisfied, and the world is restored around the school. Sougo B and Misa leave after some parting words. Sougo, Geiz and Tsukuyomi make their plans for the future, unaware that Swartz and Ora are watching them, both of them now in their Time Jacker attire. Ora asks about Heure, but gets little response, and they both vanish, observed by Woz, who awaits his King's next move.
Dogengers: The show makes sure to tell us all 5 heroes split the rent. Tanaka is forced to give a strategy meeting, he also had to give Yuki the rundown. Yabai Kamen heads his own meeting, and recalls the Insurgent Power Harassment that lead to his broken arm, though in a way he's glad only he was hurt by I-Doll. Fukuokaliber discusses the idea the Golden Seal could give them the edge up they need, while I-Doll decides to attack the heroes directly. Yamashiron recognises the Golden Seal from when he was upgraded into Tsuyobi Mode, but none of the other heroes remember seeing it. A package is delivered, and after Yuki signs for it the heroes notice I-Doll upstairs. The 5 heroes fight, but she's overpowering all of them, but Rookie, remembering all he's learnt from the others, asks them to leave things to him, asking I-Doll to explain what her worries are so he can help, angering her further. She goes to deal with the others when he calls out, saying he won't allow evil, she pauses at being told to wait, then charges, but Rookie manages to knock her down with a pinch. And then a change happens. And so the worried Yuki rushes to the door to greet Tanaka, to find him there holding the unconscious figure of a girl very much like I-Doll, in a school uniform.
Super Sentai Movie Ranger: Just going off vague summaries
Memory of Soulmates: Sounds like just a nice little interlude, the Gaisoulg Soul saves the day by absorbing something to do with the Minusaur involved. Kinjo Mana RIP.
Bebop Dream: Set around the time this would have originally come out, resolves the Minjo plot hook, establishes Garza still thinks of Crystalia. Apparently the Red Shovellow isn't important to anything happening, but Zabyun is used in a new Kiramazin formation.
Red Battle! All Sentai Battle: Reportedly set after episode 7 of the series, but I imagine there will have been some stuff introduced by then not featured in the movie. The main villain is a Tojitendo monster called Super Warumono World, who incorporates features of main villains of the 44 previous Sentai, list below, who summons an army of past monsters, most notably Basco ta Jolokia, Izayoi Kyuemon, Bangray and Zamigo Delma. After being defeated the Zenkaigers manage to summon the past 45 reds, who help them defeat the villains.
Villains: Kuro Juji Soto, Shuryo Iron Claw, Satan Egos, Queen Hedrian, Hell Saturn Soto, Soto Taboo, Teio Aton, Doctor Man, Seio Bazeu, Daitei La Deus, Chiteio Zeba, Daikyoju Bias, Dai Boma Teio Lagorn, Ginga Choju Vulgyre, Kyodaiju Raguem, Majo Bandora, Gorma XV, Daimaou, Bacchus Wrath, Sochi Gynamo, Dr. Hinelar, Zeihab Seicho, Meio Zylpheeza, Don Dolnero, Kyukyoku Org Senki, Shuryo Tau Zant, Jameishin Dezumozoriya, Agent Abrella, Zettaishin N Ma, Daishinkan Gajah, Long, Soridaijin Yogoshimacritein, Chimatsuri Doukoku, Kyuseishu no Brajira, Ackdos Gil, Messiah Reboot, Hyakumen Shinkan Chaos, Z Shin, Kibaoni Gengetsu, Shin Ginis, Don Armage, Dogranio Yabun, Eras and Yodon Kotei.

Zi-O rewrite time! An attempt at retaining a lot of the main elements while improving the general enjoyability.
First of all, we need to change the age at which Sougo is first approached by Swartz. By 10 kids have pretty solidly already developed their own opinions and ideas about stuff. If some stranger had come up to me at age 10 and told me I was destined to be [something I’d never cared about before] I would’ve been like uh, what? No. :/
So he’s 5 or 6 when he first meets this weird guy who tells him about the concept of kings, about how they help people, tells him he sees the skill for it in him, even gifts him a little picture book about a heroic fairytale king which years later Sougo still cherishes. This guy continues to appear intermittently in the years leading up to the bus crash to really lay it on thick with this king stuff.
The other important basic change is that rather than being considered an amusing quirky oddity by his classmates, Sougo is genuinely ignored/shunned by them for his obsession with being a king. (And in flashbacks to when he was little, outright bullied.)
Thus we can see from the very start Sougo’s potential path to becoming an evil overlord. He truly wants to protect people and do good in the world, has been influenced to believe ‘ruling’ is the best way to do so, but his future subjects reject him harshly at every turn. And it’s obvious that anytime soon his goofiness and cheerful optimism could finally run out.
The attitude from his peers makes his lack of friends and his loneliness much more obvious from the getgo, and so you feel far more deeply for him as he tries to make things work with Geiz & Tsukuyomi.
And as he spends time genuinely, like, talking and connecting with the past riders he meets. He has at least one heart-to-heart moment with most of them. Sento tells him about how easy it is for the best intentions to have terrible results. Takumi tells him about how alone and afraid of himself he was until he met the right people. Eiji tells him about how important it is to want things, but how wanting too much can be dangerous. And tells the story of the OOO who came before him.
And so about halfway through the show, Sougo begins to wonder. Is it really ‘subjects’ he wants? Or just friends? Is a king a good thing to be? Did he ever choose ‘king’ as his dream? Or was it forcibly imprinted on him?
These doubts continue... until Geiz and Tsukuyomi begin to literally fade around the edges. Sougo questioning his own dream is on the verge of erasing Oma Zio from ever existing, and thus erasing the events that led to them traveling back in time. (Woz is not affected due to being some kind of time anomaly.)
Woz offers Sougo a special powerup. “If you accept this, you will return to your correct path as Waga Maou. The timeline will be reestablished, and Geiz and Tsukuyomi will remain here in this time.” Sougo finds himself tempted to accept, but not because he wants the power. It’s because he wants his friends to stay. But he remembers all the wisdom imparted to him by his senpai riders up to this point, thinks about what friendship really means, and he declines Woz’s offer.
Before Geiz and Tsukuyomi vanish & return to their own time Sougo asks them to please try and remember him, and they promise they will.
Now we get into a stretch of episodes where the narratives are jumping back and forth between present day, where Sougo is trying to be happy with only Woz for company, and 2068 - a different 2068 that is mostly peaceful. Geiz and Tsuku are normal teenagers (Geiz’s mysterious dead loved one is alive and we get to know them, even) living happy lives, but feel as if something is wrong. There was a war, wasn’t there? They’d been fighting. They look at their friend group and feel disconnected from them. They think that someone is missing.
In present day, Swartz puts his plan B into motion. He can no longer bank on this king nonsense to string Sougo along, and so, perhaps by using a disguised hat Woz, they manage to convince Sougo that by collecting the remaining ridewatches he will gain the ability to time travel and will be able to see his friends again whenever he wants. Either way, it’s not as if Sougo can ignore Another Riders.
Meanwhile, Geiz & Tsuku are beginning to remember bits and pieces. But as they do, Another Riders begin to slip into their time period via the cracks in the timeline created by their conflicting memories. These Another Riders are all based on future riders (or maybe uh. ‘in between riders’ in this case), and Geiz & Tsuku have to seek out each of the originals in order to get their watches. (Worth noting that this is the point in the show in which Geiz regains his rider power and Tsuku gains hers.)
With each watch they acquire they remember more of Sougo. It’s implied that all of these ‘future riders’ have met Sougo at some point & think fondly of him, though these meetings are still far in 19 y/o Sougo’s future.
Having remembered him fully, they use sweet 2068 tech to contact him across time (an emotional moment for all 3) and Tsukuyomi, having also managed to recall her true place of origin and her connection to Swartz, warns Sougo that he’s probably the one behind it all.
Basically what this all leads to is Swartz getting his shit wrecked concurrently in two separate time periods (think the best parts of Kiva), Sougo & Woz on one team and Geiz & Tsuku on the other as the scene switches back and forth and splitscreens at all the most important moments. And it’s truly an epic high of tokusatsu television shows.
They come close to landing the final blow, when suddenly - Sougo finds himself in that black void facing down Oma Zio. “A timeline may become a ghost, as mine has,” he says, “but the possibility can still linger. You could still become me, right now, if you wished it.” He holds out his driver. “Restore me. Us. Our glory.”
Again Sougo remembers everything taught to him by the past riders, and he tells him no. That the sort of power offered isn’t the kind anyone should have. That it was a dream given to him by someone with terrible intentions, and he doesn’t want it or need it to keep himself going anymore.
Oma Zi-o appreciates when he’s been bested. He offers to use the last of his strength to grant any wish that Sougo has. Sougo considers wishing for Geiz and Tsuku to come back and stay in 2019 with him. But instead he smiles sadly and says “I wish for my friends to be happy, whatever that means for them.”
He returns to reality to finish his rider kick and end the final fight.
Sougo wakes up in his bedroom the next morning feeling lost. Picks up that old picturebook of the fairytale king and flips through it aimlessly. He said he didn’t need it, but wasn’t that a bit of a lie? He doesn’t have anything else to replace it.
He’s still holding it as he goes downstairs for breakfast. And finds Geiz & Tsukuyomi at the table, chastising him for sleeping in so late. Realizes that Oma Zio must have granted his wish. He’s definitely crying a bit as he smiles. The other 2 might be a little bit as well. The camera focuses on Sougo tossing the picturebook aside before joining them at the table.

Kamen Rider Zi-O finally finished its run last weekend, but if you thought that meant Bandai was done with the merch train for the series then you thought like an idiot! A ‘Memorial’ set of RideWatches is getting released, giving us premium-sound versions for the Watches of main Rider trio Zi-O, Geiz, and Woz, plus new watch for Tsukuyomi’s eleventh-hour (and barely used even then) Rider form. I love the all-white design on that one, regardless. Maybe she’ll get more to do in the post-series movie. We’re also finally getting a DX roleplay toy of the Oma Zi-O Driver after it properly got used at the end of the show as well, and that aforementioned movie looks like it’ll be bringing a final upgrade for Geiz called Majesty that gives him his own repaint of the Grand Zi-O RideWatch. His appropriately is decked out with all the ‘Secondary’ Riders from the preceding Heisei series, and they even sidestepped the usual ‘no Secondary in Kuuga’ issue by just sticking Geiz’s regular face in that spot. Well played, guys.

Zi-O 47: (ง •̀_•́)ง
THIS WILL BE FINE.
This episode contains spoilers for the end of Drive, and the liveblog contains me hard-core shipping Gou/Chase and Tsukasa/Daiki. Fair warning.
––––
It’s raining, in the power-plant area where we left off last time. Swartz ‘repeats’ his statement from then, that Sougo has three options.
He can save Tsukuyomi.
He can save himself.
Or… he can become Oma Zi-O.
Swartz is allowing Sougo to have the choice, for once… but not the time to make it.
Red light rises up in the distance, going up and up, a dark wall rising with it. People in the city are tossed to the sky as it pushes them out of the way. A group of monsters and robots appear.
Smash, Guardians, and the Skywall.
Sougo recognizes the Skywall – it may have been in another world, yes, but he… er, accidentally got shoved through the time tunnels wall into the World of Build. So he’s seen it before.
Build’s history was erased. World fusion aside, these shouldn’t be here at all.
The rain has stopped. Swartz can be heard speaking, telling Sougo to “fulfill his mission, as one who was born to be king.”
He laughs evilly, but is nowhere to be seen.
(continued under the cut!)
––––
Sougo’s confused, angry, and resigned expression fades to the book, and Woz’s Recap begins.
They’re fast approaching the future where Sougo becomes the Overlord.
The book does a super helpful job of showing us the deaths of Miharu, Heure, and Ora. Because of course it does.
According to Woz, and his ‘Oma Advent Calendar’… there are three pages left until the end of the world.
Because of the difference in sentence structure, ‘three pages’ is the last part of the sentence. When he says that, Woz looks directly at the viewer.
––––
Geiz holds his phone, which is ringing and not connecting. He’s trying to call Sougo, who none of them have been able to reach. Woz is sure he’s fine, he’s his overlord, after all – but he doesn’t sound so sure.
Junichiro comes out from the kitchen, having made a huge meal for the three. Turns out that Geiz, Tsukuyomi, and Woz have been looking for Sougo all night.
Tsukuyomi mentions that he must be the most worried for Sougo out of all of them.
But he says that’s not it, he’s not worried at all, Sougo’s fine! He’s probably just stuck on the other side of that wall that appeared, and can’t get home.
Geiz offhandedly asks where Junichiro got all these blocks of tofu – the entire meal is made up of the stuff.
The reply? “Well, in the olden days, they say there was so much tofu you could build a wall out of it. So, we can break these walls down by eating them!”
I feel like there’s a cultural saying in here that I’m missing, but it’s a really sweet sentiment on his part, so I don’t even care.
That’s when Sougo walks in, making a beeline for the watch holder. He knew something had happened.
The Build watch is grey, the image cracked.
He knew something had to have happened with regards to Build – he saw that strange wall when he met him in 2017.
Woz tells them that it’s called the Skywall, that it was from Build’s history, accompanied by footage from episode one – of Build and Ryuuga riding that absurd bike along the top of the wall. But with the ‘work’ his overlord has done, that history shouldn’t exist.
Sougo turns, taking Tsukuyomi by the wrist, and starts pulling her out into the lobby. Everyone’s telling him to stop, Woz asking if Swartz had contacted him, and Tsukuyomi saying that Sougo has been the one Swartz is after the whole time.
Sougo knows that, now. He should have realized sooner, should have realized that Swartz has been watching him his entire life. Which is exactly why, as Geiz points out, he shouldn’t be going anywhere!
Sougo ignores that, asking Tsukuyomi to come with him – asking ‘Alpina’ to come with him.
Much to her surprise – she only just learned that was her pre-amnesia name a few days ago, so how could he know it?
Because Miharu is dead. Because Miharu’s dying wish was for him to take her to the future. But he might not be able to grant it. He takes her arm again, and they leave the shop.
Back in the kitchen, Junichiro looks at the watch tower, frowning. The camera turns to the holder, and focuses on the Build watch.
––––
In a damaged street, Smash and Guardians are rampaging. Geiz shows up to herd people out of there, and engages the Smash. One of the Guardians gets tossed to the ground in front of him.
Geiz: “Woz, why are you even here?!”
Woz: “Well, why are you here?”
Geiz: “…Eh, killing some time before Zi-O turns back up.”
Woz: “Mind if I keep you company?”
They stand back to back, upgrading into Revive Fury and Ginga Finaly respectively, and get to work.
––––
Sougo and Tsukuyomi approach a certain stoic photographer.
She’d like Tsukasa to take them to ‘that place’ again, to where she used to live. She can’t get there on her own.
The Time Mazins don’t allow for travel to different time axis, after all.
Sougo brings up that they may be different timelines, but they’re not entirely separate, either. They’re very closely tied together, arne’t they?
Tsukasa agrees.
That’s when Sougo makes the internal reveal, that Swartz told him that he’ll have to choose between his own time, or Tsukuyomi’s.
Going by her shocked expression, he hadn’t told her this before.
Tsukasa pulls his ‘voice of experience’ card, saying that they might learn things they didn’t really want to learn.
Tsukuyomi says they have no choice.
Sougo needs to know. He’s not making a choice without all the information – not this time. He’s had it with being uninformed.
This is too important for them to go into without knowing everything that they can.
...Fine then. Tsukasa’s willing to take them along, but he’s got two warnings. First, they might not actually have a choice. Second…
There’s no bananas allowed on this little field trip.
Uh. What?
––––
Geiz and Woz launch a double-finisher; Ginga Finaly’s gravity attack holding the mooks in place for Revive Fury’s slash. As they explode… everything… slows… down…
The riders manage to turn around, and yup, sure enough, there’s a trio of unevolved Roidmudes.
The Drive Ridewatch glows briefly, and the color shatters away.
Switching to Revive Gale and Ginga Planet, the fight starts back up as Swartz strolls in. They can fight all they want, but there’s not going to be any end. Not now that the world is already ending, now that the only thing that can change this is the choice Sougo makes.
He strolls back out, leaving Geiz to question just what the hell Swartz is making Sougo do.
––––
2058, the home Tsukuyomi grew up in.
Sougo and Tsukuyomi find tiny Alpina’s room – and she immediately tries to go on the ‘offensive’ when she sees them, same as last time anyone came here. She flings her hand out to pause them, but they dodge. Frowning her little baby frown, she asks who they are.
Tsukuyomi tries to calm her, saying that they’re not trying to ‘intervene.’ She’s her, from eleven years from now, but she doesn’t have her memories, and they just want to know some things. Sougo asks if Alpina can tell them what will happen to this world.
A young man in black appears, as he will always be so good at doing. He’ll tell them.
Tsukuyomi immediately tries to go on the offensive, pulling out her Faiz Phone X and aiming it at Small Swartz, but he’s not intimidated.
He tells them that this world is going to disappear soon, but he’s going to save it.
He’s going to save it by destroying all of the other worlds, each and every one of them.
The last line is heard from outside – Swartz and Alpina in view in one window as he says it, and then we see Sougo and Tsukuyomi in another after.
(Tsukasa is probably watching from outside, frustrated. That’s not how that works! That’s not how any of that works! He would know!)
––––
2019.
Woz and Geiz are still fighting against the roidmudes, when the ground starts to shake. Fuuto and Yggdrasil Towers emerge into the wrong city. A group of Elementary Inves and Masquerade mooks appear shortly after.
––––
The Double and Gaim watches lose their power.
Junichiro peers out from the functional area of the kitchen, a look of concern on his face.
He knows more of what’s going on than he’s let slip. I just know it.
––––
Armored footsteps make their way between mooks. A figure in black and purple armor comes forward.
Mashin Chaser says that he will defeat the Kamen Riders.
Geiz, given the events of the past few days, naturally assumes that they’re up against another Dark Rider.
Don’t group him with the Kamen Riders. He’s a grim reaper, and he will surpass the riders.
To which I, a Drive fan, have a general reaction of NOPE NO NUH-UH I AM NOT OKAY WITH THIS!!
Mashin Chaser clenches a fist, and along with the mooks, restart the fight against Geiz and Woz.
––––
2058.
Back at Tsukuyomi’s childhood home, we hear more exposition. Child Swartz says that there are many worlds ‘within’ this one, and that it’s unreasonable for only this one to fall. So he-
HE IS NOT CHILD SWARTZ.
HE IS ADULT SWARTZ.
He’s willing to destroy all of the other worlds. If he does that, then this world will survive.
(Tsukasa voice in the distance: Cool motive, still murder, and that isn’t actually going to work.)
Also, of course he could make himself look like his child self. He’s Another Decade. What’s the main part of the Kamen Rider Decade power set, as given by the belt?
Taking on different appearances.
Tsukuyomi says this is absurd, how can he think he’d get away with that?
He smirks, calling her out. She’s going on about morals, and yet she’s pointing a gun at a child?
WAIT WHAT
Yup, he’s Child Swartz again – still, actually. Sougo figures that he’s probably using his powers to create illusions.
Sure. Let’s go with that.
He has one more question for Swartz, though. How will he destroy the worlds?
It’s simple, really. He’s going to merge them all into one. Each world has it’s own Kamen Riders. If he can consolidate the riders, than the worlds will become one, as well. Then, he only has to annihilate that one world.
(Tsukasa voice in the distance: Merge the worl- I already did that! It didn’t go well! And hell, I’m pretty sure it’s been a single world since I was active! If you’re going to be ‘Another Me’, do your damned research!)
Tsukuyomi asks if that’s why he had Sougo do all of this – why he had him collect the powers together.
Swartz, being Swartz, doesn’t care about anyone elses opinions. As he walks off, Sougo has another question. What will he do when his sister becomes more powerful than him? If she’s stronger, than she could be a great help.
That makes him furious. Her? Become stronger than he is? That’s ridiculous! (He shifts to his adult appearance.) If that were to happen, he’d take her memories and banish her. Only the strong should be king – only he should be king!
He lashes out, hitting Sougo and Tsukuyomi with a blast of energy.
––––
2019.
TUNE: CHASER COBRA!
A single attack from Mashin Chaser takes out all of the mooks, and knocks Geiz and Woz out of their transformations. He drops his own, and ohhh my Drive fangirl heart is breaking. It really is Chase, it’s him, he’s here and oh god this is going to be HeiGen Final all over again isn’t it.
Chase tells them he’s a Roidmude, a mechanical lifeform created by Krim Steinbelt. Geiz and Woz both recognize that name, saying it means he’s a friend of Drive.
Geiz asks if he knows Shijima Gou, Kamen Rider Mach.
SO I GUESS OVER QUARTZER IS CANON.
THIS IS FINE.
NOT LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD HAS TO WAIT UNTIL JANUARY TO SEE IT OR ANYTHING.
Chase, in his always stoic manner, says he’s never heard that name. That in his world, there are no Kamen Riders. He rushes in to punch Geiz.
Geiz manages to catch his hand, though, saying that Chase is being inconsistent. Why is he attacking them, then?
As Chase growls out that it’s because they’re Kamen Riders, he pushes forward, knocking Geiz to the ground.
Geiz picks himself up. “If we’re not supposed to exist, then why are we your enemies?! Even if history changes, you know who you are! That you’re a Kamen Rider, and that you know Shijima Gou!”
Chase hesitates. “Shijima… Gou…”
(Toei, don’t do this to me, don’t-)
Chase holds his head in pain, as he remembers.
An underground parking garage, in mid 2015. Chase, pushing away from the wall he’d been thrown into. Entering his by-then retired Mashin Chaser form to stop Tenjuro Banno from bringing an axe down onto the prone, untransformed Gou. Gou holding Chase in his arms, being given the drivers license and signal bike that Chase had gotten while they worked together. Chase running, sparking, and using the explosion of his death to take Banno out.
Gou screams his name.
Chase cries out in pain, falling forward. Woz comments that the distoritions in space and time must be growing, and he and Geiz take off.
They leave Chase behind, on his hands and knees, all but screaming.
They also leave me, an avid shipper of Gou and Chase, all but crying.
––––
2058.
Child Swartz corners the running Sougo and Tsukuyomi, saying that he can’t forgive her defying him.
She points the Faiz Phone X at him, and when Sougo tells her that she can’t, she says… She says that he’s going to destroy the world. That they can save so many lives if… if they just kill him now.
The same things Geiz once said about Sougo.
She keeps the gun outstretched, her hand trembling, for a moment, before she loses her nerve.
Child Swartz says that he knew she was his little sister, however… as he shifts to his adult appearance, continuing to raise the question of is this Swartz an adult or a kid, he says that anyone who stands in his way will die, and fires another blast of purple energy directly at her-
Only for Tsukasa to jump in, and take the hit, glaring at Swartz from behind the flames before he is finally knocked down.
Swartz calls him a useless hindrance – as a dimensional wall opens.
Daiki emerges, shooting at Swartz with his Diendriver. Swartz takes off, and Daiki looks in the direction of the other three.
Sougo and Tsukuyomi run up to the fallen Tsukasa. She asks why he would do that.
It’s a struggle to say anything, but he manages to answer, holding onto her arm to look at her. Weakly, in pain, Tsukasa tells Tsukuyomi that they can’t afford to lose her.
His grip fails, he falls back to the ground, and stops moving.
––––
2019.
Geiz and Woz find themselves in a back alley, finally getting a moment to breath. Geiz comments that their enemy isn’t from an Another World this time. Woz says he’s from a world without Riders at all – that when Sougo and Geiz were gathering the watches, they were removing the original riders, and thus the opponents they fought were now undefeated… and now they’re all here. Just in time for the watches to start breaking.
Geiz wonders why they’re breaking in the first place, why now, and then theres the skywall and those towers…
Woz posits that it’s likely tied to the time-space disturbances. Geiz points out that would put Sougo right at the center of it all, along with Tsukuyomi.
Woz thinks he might understand his overlords intentions, now.
Aaaand that is a whole lot of monsters up in the sky, including a very familiar looking purple manta ray and a long, black dragon.
Guess the Ryuki watch is done for.
––––
2058.
Tsukuyomi wishes she knew why Tsukasa gave his life to save her.
Daiki walks up, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly, saying that they’ll just have to ask him, now won’t they?
Sougo looks appalled. How could they?! He’s dead.
Sougo. Sougo, Sougo, Sougo.
What did you do immediately before using Zi-O II for the first time?
You rewound time, reversing Geiz’s death.
What treasure did Daiki take last time we saw him?
The Zi-O II Another Watch.
“I didn’t want to use my treasure like this, buuut…” Daiki pushes the switch, and time reverses over Tsukasa, undoing all the damage and dying, leaving him lying there, unharmed.
The first thing Tsukasa does when he opens his eyes? Looks over at Daiki, just saying his last name.
“Hey, Tsukasa. You just died. Are you able to eat sea cucumber now?”
FFS DAIKI THIS IS NO TIME TO FLIRT!
Also, please note that while at first, both Tsukuyomi and Sougo are watching Tsukasa as he gets up, Sougo looks aside at Daiki at that last line. I don’t know if Sougo sees that as the flirting it definitely is, but he definitely knows it is NOT the time for that. He is giving Daiki the most ‘wtf’ expression I have seen on this dumb kitties face in a long time.
Tsukasa asks if Daiki turned back time, and is probably wondering just how much trouble they’re going to get from the den-liner team for this.
He did just save your life, but this treasure, uh, has a bit of a side effect… a very painful case of ‘mad with power’.
Like, Daiki is telling them this as he’s in pain, right before losing the fight to not become Another Zi-O. But now he’s got one last treasure to take… Tsukasa’s life.
Daiki, you’ve used that line before, too! Calling Tsukasa your treasure, saying that he’s yours ‘to defeat,’ you did both of those in your own finale! And, I really feel like I need to repeat myself here. THIS IS NO TIME TO FLIRT!
I have never been more pissed that this time axis is so damned washed out than I am right now. Why?
Tsukasa just got Sougo to hand over his watch. His watch.
Kamen Ride! Decade!
He looks red, because everything is so dim here, but Kamen Rider Decade engages Another Zi-O II in combat… as Decade’s fight music starts up.
––––
2019.
A dimensional wall opens, Sougo and Tsukuyomi running through first, Tsukasa getting thrown through, and Daiki following shortly after.
Daiki’s kinda pissed. Didn’t Tsukasa get his power as a Kamen Rider taken away recently?!
He did. But waaaay back in December, he stored half of his power in a certain Ridewatch, that he gave to Geiz in lieu of the Future Ghost watch he depowered.
Yeah, Daiki’ll admit he’s impressed, and turned on, but only half of Decade’s power isn’t going to be enough to defeat him.
Tsukasa’s definitely smirking under that helmet, saying he’ll be fine.
Another Riders can only be defeated by their respective Rider. Decades power is turning into other Kamen Riders.
Tsukasa pulls out a new card.
KamenRide! Zi-O!
Sougo has no idea what’s going on – where did he get that?! HOW did he get that?!
(I want to meet AR!Sougo so bad. I just really need to see what, in all the worlds, ‘World of Zi-O’ could possibly have been.)
So, Sougo may or may not have the gist of what’s going on, but whether he does or not, he pulls out the Grand watch. It’s a nice shortened version of the transformation – it includes all the transformation calls for phase one, stopping with Decade, but has the full backdrop summon with the statues and door. Tsukuyomi runs out of the way as they start coming out of the ground, which is a nice touch. They skip the full mini-figure sequence, thankfully. (We don’t need another Decade Complete transformation up in here!) But he finishes pretty quickly, and goes off to fight Daiki as well.
All three are in the open, now. Sougo pulls out Kiva’s sword for a few slashes, before giving up on that and tossing it to dissolve away. (Oh, look, the Skywall’s in the background.) Then he pulls out Fourze’s sword – the one from COSMIC STATES, because there’s no kill like overkill. (Oh, look, there’s Fuuto Tower.) Tsukasa had been swapping in and out of the fight, but at this point, he just gets out of the way. Sougo lands a few blows with that, tosses it aside, and pulls out Drive’s Formula Cannon. (Hey, Yggdrasil tower! Nice to see you!) A single shot from the cannon – which has been known to blow sizable chunks off of buildings – is what knocks Daiki out of being Another Zi-O II.
Finally, finally, that stupid watch is destroyed.
Daiki’s sulking over losing his treasure.
Tsukasa drops from being Zi-O!Decade to being just regular Decade. “Oh, man, Daiki, you’re just always asking for trouble, aren’t you? Come on.” He reaches a hand down, to help pick Daiki up.
Daiki ignores it, pushing himself to his feet, because he is one of the most tsun-tsun of all tsunderes in Kamen Rider stubborn. He thinks Tsukasa owes him a little gratitude. To be fair, he’s not wrong.
But before Tsukasa can say anything, Sougo stiffens. He drops to his knees as his transformation cancels itself, the Grand watch dissolving into lights.
Sounds of monsters come from behind them.
From one set of stairs, theres a shot from the preview, of the Orion Zodiarts and the Shika Inves (Deer Inves) with a group of mooks. From another set of stairs, the Violence Dopant and the Bison Yummy emerge with another group.
There’s a plethora of those dragonfly-esque Mirror Monsters from Ryuki in the sky, with other Mirror monsters and such flying around as well, giant Makamou crabs and some creepy spiders crawling up the buildings…
Just monsters. Monsters, everywhere.
Tsukasa, still in his Decade armor, says that he gets the gist of it.
Sougo gets it, too. It really is the end of the world.
Except that’s not the summary Tsukasa’s giving. No. He’s going… to destroy this world.
Tsukuyomi looks over, shocked. Hadn’t he been trying to find a way around that?
Daiki looks over, stunned. They – him, Yusuke, and Natsumi – had to kill Tsukasa last time he went ‘destroyer of worlds’ in order to get him to stop.
Sougo looks over, confused and a little angry.
The bars of the Decade watch close down on him for the endscreen.
(Lower left is the Another Zi-O II watch, upper left is Zi-O, and center is Decade)
––––
The preview opens with Trinity versus Oma Zi-O, with Oma saying something about ‘the power to destroy space and time.’
Next shot is the main crew and Tsukasa in the shop, and everyone is glaring at him.
Then Decade and Diend, side by side.
Zi-O – in front of a startled Junichiro, immediately followed by an over the shoulder shot of Sougo in front of his uncle, from Sougo’s perspective… with the sound clip “I’m… a Kamen Rider…”
Woz Ginga busting up some mooks, and Mashin Chaser punching Another Decade, with Chase saying “To me… friends are…” And that’s his softer Chase voice, not the tones he used while with the Roidmudes, the ones he used while he was Kamen Rider Chaser.
Future Soldier Geiz with a machine gun that he’s firing upward, into the camera, followed by Future Soldier Tsukuyomi holding what appears to be a glowing RideWatch. Geiz is saying that ‘she will save the world.’
Sougo in the cockpit of a Time Mazine, with the audio of him saying ‘The last time travel.’
Trinity charging Oma Zi-O, with the audio of Junichiro saying ‘Be safe.’
––––
Hey, what was it Oma said to Sougo? That “you could never defeat me”? Maybe not as a singular you… in the original timeline, Sougo became Oma Zi-O on Oma’s Day… but in the show, that wound up being the day they got Trinity. >:3
Also…
Hey, Toei, I was kidding with this post, you do know that, right?!
(Gaim, that was almost a full year ago that I made that joke, and look where we are now! They got Gou and Chase, but not Shinnosuke!)

Kamen Rider Haul!!!
Firstly, I got two plushies from the 20 Rider Kicks Chibi line. Specifically, I got my bois Sento, Shoutaro and Philip- Build and W!
Tumblr media
Y’all know what I’m cuddling with tonight~
I also got this magazine special for Kamen Rider, which came with a free Ride Watch. Three guesses who it was and the first two don’t count
Tumblr media
Yup. One of the actual loves of my life, Hidari Shoutaro, Kamen Rider Joker.
The Ride Watch is what you’d expect from a freebie. I had to assemble it myself, and Joker’s face is just a sticker. The front gear of the Ride Watch doesn’t do anything, and the button to activate the sound is on the side, not on the top like in the show. Still pretty good though.
Tumblr media
This next one I actually got from a gashapon machine for ¥300.
Tumblr media
It’s a teeny tiny threesome Zi-O Trinity!
The gashapon machines actually had some really good choices: aside from Zi-O Trinity, there was Grease, Kuuga, Cross-Z, Chaser and Ankh’s Greeed form. I wanted one of the last three lmao.
Sorry but not sorry, Kazumin.
Look at how tiny it is compared to the plushies and Ride Watch!
Tumblr media
The second to last thing is this notebook I bought from Daiso in Harajuku, which is a hundred-yen shop with branches all over Japan and even overseas. This notebook/sketchbook costs about 1 USD which is freaking cheap even for me. The back and front feature Geiz and Sougo respectively, in their Rider Forms plus the firsr two Rider Armor forms they got in the show.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And lastly, the piece de resistance...
Tumblr media
Hell. FUCKING. Yeah.
This is the 3-CD edition, and yes the CDs really are in TaToBa colors. Inside is a leaflet with the lyrics for all the songs included plus a transcript of an interview, though all are in Japanese (except for the gratuitous English in the songs).
Thank god for Yodobashi Camera Akihabara’s 6th and 7th floor because damn I got all the goodies I wanted without having to hunt them down to the corners of Fuuto- and it’s right outside Akihabara station too!
(Edit: Forgot to mention it above but they also had the Blurays for HeiGen Forever and Cross-Z, but of course neither had English subs so I passed on them. Oh, and they got Sentai stuff too!)

The Ohma Zi-O transformation already fits Unmei No Hi Tamashii Tai Tamashii already, so like... Have this little rewrite of the scene.
“I believe in you... Sougo...”
These are the last words Tokiwa Sougo can hear from his ringing ears. His eyes are filled with nothing but the same red that would usually mark the arrval of his partner if time fighting. He was never one that was prone to anger, at least he never thought so, but this was the one time where he felt it necessary to scream out in rage. Lives were lost already because of Swartz, but to have even more people close to him, even after his parents were lost because of the man is sickening. He could feel himself slipping further and further away from light as his anger peaked. He picked up his friend and carried him to a bed of nearby flowers, red and yellow like him. He lay the warrior to rest, before turning to face Swartz.
“If you seek revenge, then just try and fight me.” The fake rider spoke, taunting the now grieving boy.
Sougo’s waist burns as his mind flashes through pictures. The rare smiles he would share with everyone. Woz. Tsukuyomi. Uncle. Geiz...
He was tired of letting his fear of the future control him. The future nor the past decide who he is! Only the him of now gets to choose!
Toki wa michite Oh, meshia Oh, meshi-ra
His waist becomes a volcano as his driver burns gold, the mark of the demon king making itself known. He folds the sides in, starting the sequence. The clock face of the demon king burns itself into the earth below them, as lava erupts from the letters of his eyes.
“Henshin...”
Yudiliya vele Yudiliya vele Yudiliya vele Yudiliya-iyaliya “AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” Sougo screams as the armor of hell’s time forms over him. Masks of riders from the past twenty years appear over him as his eyes begin to burn red. Red. Red. Red. He’ll turn Swartz into dust, as long as he sees Red!
Ah, sokonashi no kyoufu wo hikitsure. Ah, semari-kuru jaaku na tamashii. Makerarenai unmei no wakareme. Yaru shika nai yoake ni inochi wo kakete.
The shockwave of the transformation blows Swartz back a bit as he stares at the challenger, his goons of villains past blown into the building behind him. The dust settles as he stares upon the visage of the Ohma King, a crater formed around his feet.
Woz stands away, watching the birth of his demon king, great rage being the catalyst for destruction. Daiki and Tsukasa stop their fight against the goons as they see the eruption from afar.
“My king... Sougo...” Woz proclaims as the winds of rage blow his hair.
Kono te de!! Woah! Kanarazu! Ore wa ore wo koeteku ze! Woah! Ki wo atsumete! Kurayami wo tobase!
Ohma Zi-O stands before Another Decade, his head uncovered as the wind blows his hair about, his eyes burning red like a flame, tears of magma flowing from his eyes as he stares down the enemy.
The tears begin to subside as does the wind, as Woz opens up his book of time’s events.
“Rejoice... For through rage, hatred, and love, the demon king who rules over time and space has been born. Know and fear the name... Of Kamen Rider... Ohma Zi-O.”
The tears completely fade as the mask of Ohma Zi-O forms over Sougo’s face, the young man giving one last look of malice at Swartz as the helmet finishes forming.
“I’m not here to fight you Swartz. I’m here to kill you.”

screamin bout zi-o 36
i had fun doing this last week, so let’s make another screencap post! of course, i said that, and then it took several days to upload all the pictures because tumblr just stops fucking working sometimes. anyhoo! it’s yuko kitajima roast hour. image-heavy and spoiler-heavy, naturally.
so ginga blew everyone up and they ran away to a sewer it seems.
Tumblr media
honestly that theory makes as much sense as anything else on this booty ass fuckin’ kamen rider show
Tumblr media
i was just like...he isn’t
Tumblr media
but then he was
Tumblr media
swartz: she could step on me in those red pumps and i’d say Thank You
hora: i regret so much right now
uhr: *shonen anime character walking down the street pose*
then over quartzer plays and im starting to feel a little lost because i don’t get to hear about the episode according to woz’s book? hello??
Tumblr media
yuko’s still out gettin her spa treatments and shit, god only knows how she got the money for all that, and somehow she never crosses paths with the cops or anyone who recognizes her from the news?? uh
Tumblr media
honestly yeah?? a queen deserves to look GOOD. her theme music is eerily sexy, i need an mp3 of it right now
Tumblr media
don’t get me wrong, im well aware that swartz is being a suck-up to try and get yuko to help with his plan to seize ginga’s power, but damn im kinda shipping swartz with yuko now too...i mean, he WAS looking at her while doing the sexy ice cream thing last week. what flavor ice cream would yuko be? black cherry chip maybe?
(headcanon: woz tries apple pie ice cream and declares it a crime against both apple pie and ice cream alike--but he still eats the whole coneful)
Tumblr media
hora and uhr get ZA WARUDO’D down the stairs by swartz
Tumblr media Tumblr media
we were all uhr right here
Tumblr media
yeaaaaaah she just doesn’t want to fight ginga
Tumblr media
tsukuyomi’s a mood. someone put a band-aid on geiz’s forehead pls
Tumblr media
ok woz i get that if you’re looking for a despotic ruler to follow that yuko is likely a better bet than sougo, but you’re missing an important detail: if yuko actually had a shot at becoming queen of everything, she’d already have one of you in tow, and you would most likely hate each other.
...majou means “demon queen” in this case, not “witch”, right?
Tumblr media
aaaaaand this...is the moment when yuko started making me very uncomfortable. the way she responds: “yes...i do remember. it’s you.”
Tumblr media
and sougo’s face just lights up--my guy, she could so easily be lying. she didn’t say one thing about the band-aid or the playground or anything that’d indicate she’s actually sougo’s crush.
like...if not for the fact that sougo had such a crush on the seifuku girl, it wouldn’t be all that major a memory. it likely wasn’t for the girl in question--just a happy sunny day cheering up a lonely little boy. a beautiful memory, yes...but memories fade.
Tumblr media
can someone please explain to me why woz’s characterization is all over the place in kiva arc? are you pro-yuko or anti-yuko, woz? i don’t understand what’s going through his pretty head at all honestly. he gets pretty taciturn in the scenes he’s not inhaling pie, but then at times he seems to think yuko’s cool aaaaaagh i don’t know
Tumblr media
junichiro: meowing, just wanted an excuse to cook lots of food
sougo: “yay, uncle’s cooking!”
woz: [deadpan monotone] “yaaaaaaay uncle’s cooking...”
Tumblr media
ive had enough of this evil bitch honestly but when she points it’s still Good Shit
Tumblr media
ridiculous move name, but also an awesome move name
Tumblr media
and turning to stone to heal up while the sun’s clouded over? very cool
Tumblr media Tumblr media
denied
Tumblr media
i noped so hard at this part. like...i really do feel protective of sougo. yuko doesn’t give a damn about him, she just doesn’t want him to get in her way.
Tumblr media
nope. no. nuh uh. you two step away from each other right now.
Tumblr media
YOU CANNOT MAKE BABIES WITH AN IDIOT FETUS
ok but in all seriousness, do you want time jackers? because, im calling it now, letting oma zi-o go in raw is how you get time jackers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
yeah im pretty sure miho would’ve kept at it if she’d lived, and yuko...shes not gonna listen to sougo
Tumblr media
thank you for the much needed reality check furry man
Tumblr media
so she’s a...fu-joshi? 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
☝☝☝
Tumblr media
yuko wears such fabulous shoes
Tumblr media
was anyone surprised at this point that yuko was the real killer? i sure wasn’t. not after all the obvious lies.
Tumblr media
i love her leitmotif. i need it. where do i download
Tumblr media
SHE DIDN’T PROMISE SHIT
Tumblr media
hey kids! it’s time for *mashes play button* la-la-la lies! yeah, tell me that you love me! la-la-la-lies! look deep into my eyes! la-la-la-lies! say there’s no one else above me! i’m the king of fools, cuz baby, you’re the queen of actually very hurtful and manipulative lies!
Tumblr media
that’s such bullshit
Tumblr media
now im the last person to be like “don’t play the dead mommy card”--i practically keep that card in the hello kitty wallet my dead mommy gave me. but i bet you yuko’s mom is just fine (aside from living with the trauma of knowing her daughter’s a murderer and pathological liar).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sougo,,,,,pls
Tumblr media
thank you tsukuyomi. god sougo really needs a chaperone with yuko around, he’s way too dumb and thirsty.
Tumblr media
GUESS WHO’S BACK. BACK AGAIN. fortunately, it seems swartz and woz have been just standing there watching him for the duration of the rain shower.
Tumblr media
lest we forget (because i didn’t screencap it), when zi-o took the brunt of ginga’s attack earlier, it sent him flying. now, that’s a human body, which has some ability to absorb force because it’s mostly pretty soft and fluid. yuko’s manhole cover almost completely absorbed this blast--she barely shifted her weight on impact. is it just that she’s THAT ripped?
then The Boys rider kick ginga to oblivion. rip ginga, you didn’t have a personality or a character arc, we never even saw you un-transformed--you were just a cool looking plot device with pretty attacks. but for that much, we appreciate you!
Tumblr media
swartz looks so pleased with himself. he must not have watched the preview for this episode.
Tumblr media
YOINK! gotta love how swartz doesn’t look surprised so much as puzzled.
Tumblr media
sure am glad kurowoz took his other self’s advice and kept an eye on swartz
Tumblr media
i love it so much how woz just has these magic scarf powers and it needs no explanation? hell, he can fly and time travel and make people fall asleep and he’s super strong too, with no explanation? and he’s the comic relief? ALSO HE’S REALLY HOT? woz is a being to behold honestly
Tumblr media
speaking of super strong and really hot, yuko is KILLING IT in that gown. i mean...i guess that’s the intention. killing it. cuz she’s a homicidal maniac. haha.
Tumblr media
she’s so good at pointing. yuko could be a prosecutor in shuichi kitaoka: ace attorney. (FUND IT)
Tumblr media
yuko throws her manhole cover at the boys (rude!) and next we see geiz holding it. a shame we don’t get to see him snatch it out of midair. or did woz catch it and just hand it to him? we may never know.
Tumblr media
zi-o. listen to geiz, zi-o. use the fucking watch. just use the watch, zi-o. you seriously plan on just letting another kiva go on a killing spree? do you not get by now what she’s capable of?
Tumblr media
thank goodness zi-o has his retainers to make wise decisions so he doesn’t have to.
Tumblr media
please note the placement of mars on ginga woz’s suit. very important.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I Love You
Tumblr media
lmao
Tumblr media
WHERE IS YOUR MANHOLE COVER NOW
Tumblr media
my favorite character gets a beautiful rainbow final attack. i feel so blessed.
Tumblr media
i mean...protecting all mankind would probably include protecting them from people like yuko. just sayin.
Tumblr media
is it bad of me that my immediate thought right then was “at least woz’s attack wasn’t what did her in.”
Tumblr media
this shot, especially in the context of the church, definitely gave me pieta vibes--albeit reversed somewhat.
Tumblr media
weirdly enough, woz does an outro instead of an intro this episode.
Tumblr media
at this point while watching, i said to shylax “you know what this calls for? pie!” but before i could finish--
Tumblr media
--PIE! cmon sougo, it’s time to gobble up your feelings!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
fucking woz, i swear, you have pie in your mouth and pie in your right hand and pie on your FACE and when your overlord expresses how miserable he is you just go for his uneaten pie with your empty hand.
...is it normal to eat pie like this in japan? because the only times i’ve seen americans make this much of a mess eating pie is when they’re toddlers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh hey, what do you know? looks like sougo’s first love wasn’t a violent crazy person after all. she also wasn’t yuko.
Tumblr media
sougo’s just an idiot who will mistake any older woman who rubs him on the chin and calls him cute for his sailor girl.
previews!
Tumblr media
i blame joshua kiryu
Tumblr media
how eloquently this one line sums up not only kamen rider zi-o but kamen rider decade as well. that’s it, that’s the show. that’s the clusterfuck we will inevitably get whenever toei decides to make a kamen rider crossover.
Tumblr media
LOOK AT THIS! TSUKUYOMI REMEMBERED SOMETHING! who is she smiling at? is it her dad? is that swartz behind her?! omg baby tsukuyomi is so CUTE!
Tumblr media
“a team”. uh huh. is that what the youth are calling it these days? cuz when i was a wee lass, i believe they called it “fucking”.
so what have we learned this week?
very little about ginga
sougo does not remember faces all that well
before sougo dates ANYONE that person should be fully vetted by junichiro, geiz, tsukuyomi, and woz because CLEARLY HE CANNOT SAFELY CHOOSE A PARTNER FOR HIMSELF
i still really like yuko as a character, if not as a person. same as i enjoy junji ito manga, but would be very upset if most of it happened in real life.
swartz loves a woman who can kick his ass
what the fuck are manhole covers in this world
i can’t wait for baby tsukuyomi flashbacks! that, and more tsukasa.

Note
all right, i want to see you introduce a bunch of *your* favorite toku characters to your non-toku-viewing audience!
Although the ask didn’t specify cute toku characters, this question was intended to be a reciprocation of my prior ask and I will answer it in that way. Also, in no particular order.
Tumblr media
Tsukasa Myoujin/Patren 3gou from Lupinranger vs. Patoranger
Ironically, she wasn’t the first character I got attached to in LuPat, however, I think she might be my favorite cutie from that show now. She presents a tough and serious exterior, however her secret weakness is stuffed animals! She finds them so cute, especially her favorite, Porktato! She’s the one to keep the other Patorangers in line, when Keiichiro is being too hotheaded and Sakuya is being too goofy, and especially when Noel is on his bullshit again.
Tumblr media
Umika Hayami/Lupin Yellow from Lupinranger vs. Patoranger
She was the first character I really liked from even before the show started. She’s the opposite of Tsukasa, she has a cute and cheery exterior but is serious inside. The Lupinrangers are each trying to get back someone important to them who was lost. She gets along really well with Tsukasa, who she doesn’t know is a Patoranger. She also has an older brother/younger sister thing going on with Kairi.
Tumblr media
Koume Kodou/”Umeko”/DekaPink and Marika Reimon/”Jasmine”/DekaYellow from Dekaranger
Their dynamic is played more straight than the LuPat example, with Umeko being the cutesy one and Jasmine being the more serious one. Umeko likes to spend time in the bath with her rubber ducks, and Jasmine is an ESPer. If she touches things people have touched, places people have been, or people themselves, she can get information about them. That’s why she wears gloves, to control her powers.
Tumblr media
Poppy Pipopapo from Kamen Rider Ex-Aid
She is the main character of the game DoReMiFa Beat, a rhythm game, and a Bugster. When she’s in civilian form, her name is Asuna Karino and she works at the Ministry of Health. Either way, she supports the Kamen Riders. She is cute, cheerful, wears lots of bright colors, and she has a cute verbal tic as well!
Tumblr media
Commander Aya Odagiri from Jetman
She might be more fearsome than the worst Vyram! Aya Odagiri is the commander of Jetman. Due to an accident, most of the group is made up of untrained civilians, so she has to get them up to speed. She is very intimidating, but cares about her group. She doesn’t fight, but she can use a mech as the above gif illustrates. She’s great!
Tumblr media
Akemi Takeda from Kyoudai Ken Bycrosser
She runs the Catswork Company, which is basically her doing odd jobs. She comes across the Bycrossers because their mother hired her to find them. They quickly become friends, although they like to tease each other playfully. I enjoy their interactions quite a lot.
Swan Shiratori from Dekaranger
She is one of the support personnel of SPD, she is played by Mako Ishino who seemingly doesn’t age. Swan is an ace with an abacus, doing mathematical calculations at warp speed. She is very good friends with the boss of Earth’s SPD, Doggie Kruger.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukuyomi from Kamen Rider Zi-O
She is a time traveler from the year 2068 along with Geiz who is trying to stop the rise of Oma Zi-O. Unfortunately, they start to get attached to Sougo, who becomes Oma Zi-O, and can’t bring themselves to just kill him, although they get second thoughts at various times throughout the series. She is the first one to warm up to Sougo and think he can’t be that bad. She hasn’t done that much in the show sadly, although the episode that just aired apparently has something to do with her, although it hasn’t come out on Over-Time yet! Shieri Ohata is just so cute and her hair is perfect. Tsukuyomi’s style is great too (although she typically wears white, this is from one of the .5 episodes.)
Tumblr media
Mari Sonoda from Kamen Rider Faiz
Her father gives her a mysterious belt, which she can’t use. However, she comes across a man named Takumi Inui. They don’t quite get along at first, but when they get into trouble, it turns out he can use the belt, and it turns out to be the Faiz belt. I like her interactions with Takumi, she makes fun of him for being a nekojita. She is looking for her father, and her dream is to be a hairstylist. There is just something about her face that appeals to me, it’s cute roundness, and I also like her as a character.
Yui Kanzaki from Kamen Rider Ryuki
Yui Kanzaki is looking for her brother, Shiro, who people say died in America before the show started. However, Shiro appears to people, giving them Kamen Rider decks. He created the Kamen Rider decks for the purposes of the Rider War, in which Kamen Riders battle in the Mirror World. The last man standing gets a wish. She opposes Shiro when she finds out about the Rider War, although Shiro says he’s doing everything for her. She initially appears with Geiz Ren, and her aunt owns the tea shop she and eventually Shinji work at. I like her style and face and although she doesn’t smile much, when she does it’s really cute!
Tumblr media
Kaoru Okoshiba/Lady Battle Cop from Lady Battle Cop
I had to include one from the movies! She is a tennis player who is killed along with her fiance in a terrorist raid on the lab where her fiance works at, however her fiance has a trick up his sleeve. He turns Kaoru into the titular Lady Battle Cop, who aims to take down the organization who killed her originally. The movie is basically a riff on Robocop, although Robocop was originally inspired by tokusatsu, so it’s things coming full circle. She doesn’t get to spend much time being cute, because she has business to take care of, but she is cute!
Tumblr media
Megumi Misaki/Blue Dolphin from Liveman
I knew I forgot one! Megumi is a student at Academia Island. She and four others were meant to be part of a space exploration group. However, three other students at the school turned traitor and the leader killed two of them. Liveman is a very serious show, but it has its moments of cuteness and lightheartedness! I prefer her longer haircut later in the series, but either way, she’s very cute and I love her signature blue outfit! She can even play a keytar.
Tumblr media
Ui Tatsui from Ryusoulger
Another one I forgot! I kept thinking about how there was only one female ranger in Ryusoulger, but I overlooked Ui! She is a Youtuber who accidentally comes across the Ryusoulgers. Koh says he has to use the hammer of forgetting on her but thankfully doesn’t. She and the Ryusoulgers quickly become friends! I really like her style, she is very cute, and she also has a very pretty face!

Riders handcuffed to secondary, what happens?
Tsukasa & Kaito: They bicker ENDLESSLY lol. Natsumi and Yuusuke are torn between watching the show and intervening before they murder
Shou/Phil & Ryu: Ryu legitimately panics because the last time he was handcuffed to someone like this his wife nearly divorced him. He’s still traumatized by it
Eiji & Date: Neither really mind, but their significant others do... they just take out their anger on each other much to Eiji and Date’s exasperation
Gentaro & Ryusei: How will Ryusei survive one day of Gentaro’s “kitaaaaaaaa!!!” poses?! Also the looks on Gen’s students’ face will be absolutely priceless
Haruto & Kousuke: They will try to murder each other within the next few minutes... mostly because Kousuke used the opportunity to put mayo on Haruto’s doughnuts
Kouta: WHO IS THIS GUY’S SECONDARY WITH KAITO GONE
Shinnosuke & Gou: I’m willing to bet they got handcuffed by Kiriko for not... behaving and they have to live with it because Kiriko would kill them otherwise
Takeru & Makoto: Welp. Talk about awkward... everyone else would definitely be amused by their reticence to even look at each other, let alone acknowledge the situation
Emu & Hiiro: Both would grumble at each other the whole day, and when Emu trips on himself, he drags Hiiro down with him and they land in an awkward position (read: accidental kiss)
Sento & Ryuuga: Totally cuffed themselves while doing kinky shits and had to call for help since they lost the key and also looped the chain to the headboard- ie they’re stuck in bed naked
Sougo & Geiz: Geiz’s tsuntsun mode is activated, and he keeps blaming Sougo for what happened to get them cuffed

Hello Commie!!! Your fics are so much fun too read! Can we has an old favorite (kouta x takatora) with a new favorite (zi-o OT4), for H or T? THANK YOU!!!
Thank you, sweetheart! I’m so glad that you enjoy them! ^_^
H is for halcyon
“Is there something unusual about that group across the room?” Takatora says to his lunch companion, frowning. “Oren keeps peering at them, and it’s starting to worry me.”
“I mean, I didn’t, like, sense anything.” Kouta is as incognito as he’s capable of being, which is to say that he’s wearing normal clothing and his coloration is for the moment mostly human apart from his eyes. He’s got a cup of coffee in front of him--he claims to enjoy the smell, even though he can’t drink it. “Maybe he’s just being--oh shit, I know that kid.”
“You do? Was he a Beat Rider?”
“No, no, I know him from, like. Just a couple of years ago. Granted, the memory’s kinda fuzzy, which it shouldn’t be, and that’s worrying since I can't actually forget things now, but I’m pretty sure that’s Zi-O.”
Takatora blinks. “I’m sorry, that’s Zi-O? The young man in the black jacket?”
“No, I think that guy's a Rider too, I'm pretty sure they all are, but I mean the one next to him, in the pink shirt."
"...the one with frosting on his nose?" Takatora frowns. "Are you sure they're Riders? They look like a group of college students on a double date."
--
Across the restaurant, Geiz swipes frosting off of the tip of Sougo's nose with his finger and says, "How did you even get that there? Oh, hey, this is really good, I didn't realize it was lemon-flavored."
Woz--not quite perks up, he’s not perky, but Geiz does immediately have his attention. "Did you say lemon?"
Geiz holds out his hand and then turns bright red when Woz eyes him for a moment and then leans forward and licks the frosting off the tip of his finger. “Mm. That is very good.”
Tsukuyomi makes an affronted noise, presumably at having been denied lemon frosting, and so Woz kisses her because there’s still a little bit of frosting stuck to his lip, and while Geiz is trying to figure out how his life got to this point Sougo says, “Hey, I think those two guys are watching us.”
“Yeah, probably a lot of people are going to be watching us if Tsukuyomi and Woz keep making out like that.”
“We weren’t making out, I just wanted lemon buttercream.” Tsukuyomi takes a delicate bite of eclair.
“I doubt it’s anything to be concerned about,” Woz says, pink-faced as he turns his attention back to his slice of pie, “it’s just Gaim and Zangetsu.” Then he goes very still. “Ah. Actually, if Gaim takes exception to our presence that may be a very bad thing, he doesn’t typically return to Earth unless there’s a major concern.”
Sougo shrugs. “It doesn’t look like a crisis, I think they’re just on a date.”
--
Takatora realizes with some embarrassment that he’s been staring when the boy in the pink shirt catches his eye and waves cheerfully. Hesitant, he waves back, and the boy, who he’s still having difficulty believing is the potentially-dreaded Zi-O, beams at him.
“They look so young,” he says to Kouta. “I think they may actually be younger than my brother.”
“Well, yeah, Micchi’s like...twenty-one now? Pretty sure they’re all nineteen or something. Well, that Woz guy might be older, I don’t know what’s going on with him.” Kouta takes a deep sniff of his coffee. “They’re older than Micchi was when our stuff all happened, at least.”
“I suppose you’re right. It’s strange, isn’t it, how it persists.”
“What does?”
“Whatever circumstances create a need for Riders. You’d think saving the world once would be enough.”
“Well, sure, that’d be nice, but at least we did save the world. If we hadn’t then there wouldn’t be anything left to be in danger again.”
“That’s...oddly reassuring, thank you, Kouta.”
Kouta grins at him. “Sure thing, babe. Anyway--oh, hey, are you blushing, that’s so cute, you can’t just go being cute at me, it’s not fair.”
“I am not blushing,” Takatora says, knowing full well that he is. “I hope we’re setting a good example, though.”
“For who? Zi-O and his buddies?” Kouta glances at them again, waving when the tremendously dignified young man sitting at Zi-O’s left meets his gaze for a moment and then looks away. “I kinda hope they don’t try to follow my example, this coffee smells really good and it’s killing me that I can’t drink it. You think we should go over and say hi?”
Takatora sneaks once last look across the room, where Zi-O and his friends have dissolved into a minor dispute over the last pastry on their little sampler platter. “No, you know, unless the world starts ending within the next ten minutes I think we should leave them to it.”

Time for the thief's return
Taiga: The New Generation Heroes have been with is since 2013. It makes sense with such a distinction between them and those before them that moving into the Reiwa era we're still sticking with that grouping. Legacy has been a big part of each of the New Generation Ultras, and even before them, with Mebius and Zero. Ginga was mentored by Taro and received power from the Ultra 6 Brothers. Victory received power from Hikari, and the pair of them together received power from the 8 Ultras before them. X received power from Zero, Max, Ginga, Victory, Nexus, Ultraman and Tiga. Orb drew power from 8 Ultras, Geed from 13, while being mentored by Zero. Rosso and Blu used crystals representing 10 of their predecessors, and were from O-50 like Orb. And here, as we enter a new era with 3 Ultras with one host, the legacy continues. Taiga, the son of Taro. Titas a warrior from U40, and Fuma, another O-50 Ultra.
We get a reminder of what has come before as the New Generation Heroes attempt to face Tregear, previously appearing in the R/B movie, but are overpowered. The Tri Squad are already a unit, and known to their senpai, but their new. The senpai lend them their power in the Ultralets, which can add the power of their abilities to the new heroes attacks. But in the end their bravado ends in their death against Tregear, and an enraged Taro to try to destroy the enemy.
12 years along Taiga keeps speaking to Hiroyuki, who is the only one to hear him. For the time being the show doesn't spend much time explaining E.G.I.S. but it's clear all of them are good people. Hiroyuki in particular can't leave someone behind. There's some tough stuff in this, with a mother desperate to save it's child being used in a weapon demonstration of Zegan, it's pretty brutal stuff. And then there's Kirisaki. It's clear he expected Taiga to show up despite his seeming death. He calls forth Hellberos just to disrupt things. Hiroyuki shows his demonstration, and Taiga returns to the fray. It's a decent first battle and we get to see the Orb-let in action, and a brief shot of the Taro-let as the Taiga Spark forms on Hiroyuki's wrist. In the end the Hellberos-let goes to them, and Taiga can sense an Ultras power in it. Looking forward to what comes next.
The Tri Squad Voice Drama establishes Taiga resents being seen as Taro's son, rather than his own being. He has a friend of the blue tribe named Filis, who is the only one he feels treats him as his own man. It also brings up the traditional roles of red and blue tribe Ultras, though we know those roles are less strict now. Filis shows him a Tri Shot, which Taiga can't comprehend being able to help him due to its size. Filis opts to tell Taiga a story about his father's pupil, who was supported by those who used it.
Zi-O: It's interesting to see how Geiz and Tsukuyomi both, somehow, despite the changes to the timeline, can't bring themselves to hate Sougo. Kaito makes a good showing, with his summons taking on their Another Rider counterparts, and later being given the power of the Time Jackers. Woz says he will destroy Sougo if he bit doesn't want to, so he's definitely following the book but his personal feelings are coming in. I wonder if there's any tie in to Over Quarzer in what he said. In the end Geiz feels compelled to trust Sougo and joins up with him, while Swarz finally reveals his relationship to Tsukuyomi.
Ryusoulger: We now understand Mosarex's reasoning, but the other Kishiryu should have known about it too, and they've yet to speak up. By which I mean Tyramigo hasn't said anything yet. KishiryuNeptune has a cool intro, when did we last have an underwater battle. In the end he agrees to see how things go for the time being. Ota is adorable. As long as she's the only one who sees herself as an adult it's fine, I just don't want to see Melto returning those affections. And to be fair I don't think he will. Is Kyoryu Panic going to be involving the war or the time before it?
