Does yunnan ever apologize to Marcy for calling her a backstabber and refusing to say her name?
If/when Marcy comes back to Amphibia, I feel like Yunan would.
Which due to the journal we learned that Yunan visited Marcy in the hospital when she feel down the flight of stairs but because Marcy was hopped up on painkillers, she doesn’t remember Yunan and so when they met again during the pirate thing, Yunan felt slighted by this. Then when you consider that Yunan was on her way at that point to go after Grime and thus she’d encounter Sasha who tricked her into falling off a waterfall, and then there’s Sasha’s betrayal of her friends and Marcy’s truth coming out (True Colors). Yunan has bad experiences with 2 out of the 3 humans that were there. So it makes sense that she is apprehensive about Olivia wanting to save Marcy but I’d say that after they ended up in a hive mind together, it’s likely Yunan felt Olivia’s fondness for Marcy and after the Trio left, Olivia likely suffered Empty Nest Syndrome and Yunan would offer to help her new girlfriend by listening to Olivia gush about Marcy, realizing how motherly she was to the human and begin to see another side to Marcy that her pride was blinding her towards.
While Olivia is definitely Marcy’s newt mom, Yunan is like her newt step-mom. Loves her too but there’s still a bit of a disconnect

Amphibia
When I first saw the commercials for Amphibia, way back before the show had started to air, I thought to myself, “Wow, how Disney has fallen. To have a goofy show about talking frogs, what a ridiculous concept”
That statement was maybe the most incorrect thing I have ever thought.
I remember where I was when I saw my first episode of Amphibia. I was on vacation, and there was nothing else to watch but the frog show. I think it was maybe episode 3 or 4. I quickly took back my earlier thoughts about the show. Soon after, I went back and rewatched the first few episodes that I had missed.
I did not miss a single episode after that week.
The show hooked me with its quick humor and overall nostalgic feel. I fell in love with the characters, the concept, and everything in between. What started as a weekend past time soon became an obsession. And by the time “Reunion” aired, I was completely sold.
I obsessively watched for news of season 2, getting excited over concept art, theories, fan art and more. Week after week as the second season aired, I would wake up early just to watch the new episode. Heck, I’d wake my family up to watch it with me! Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a morning person, but I would purposefully go against that for the sake of Amphibia.
I drew fan art, made theories, and enjoyed the show more than a normal person might. I remember the fandom outrage at the leaks, the sympathy we felt for the crew, and our growing excitement towards the show as it neared its end. I got to be a part of the excitement and joy, and a part of the anger and sadness.
The final episode was a gut punch in more ways that one. But I mean that in the best way possible. Matt Braly said that this show was about change, and I think that message was executed perfectly with the ending.
A friend asked me the other day, if I had to pick between any of my favorite animated shows, which would I pick? I had to pick Amphibia.
Amphibia has become more than just a show to me, as it has for many of the fans. There’s an air of nostalgia that surrounds it, that just makes you feel instantly happy. It’s my comfort show, and I’m so thankful that I got to be a part of this amazing fandom while the show was airing. Interacting with others who love this show as much as I do just goes to show how many people Amphibia has touched.
I want to say thank you to the amazing cast of this show. The voice acting talents are beyond what people may expect from the “goofy” frog show, and the level of emotion packed into every line helped make the show incredible.
Thank you to the crew of Amphibia. Writers, storyboard artists, animators, and every single person who helped make this show what it is today. The hard work and dedication to this show can clearly be seen in every episode.
And finally, I want to thank Matt Braly. I want to thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for creating this beautiful show. When I first started Amphibia, I had no idea the impact that it would have on me, but this show has grown to be my favorite series ever.
Thank you, Amphibia 💗💚💙

Now that the end of Marcy's Journal implies the girls eventually found a way back to Amphibia, any headcannons on how the girls would be spending their Christmases with each other, their found families (in Anne and Sasha's case that is), and their blood family (depending on how much Sasha and Marcy's parents know about Amphibia)?
The Plantars have already experienced Christmas, so they'd probably be down to try it out again. I can imagine Sasha and Marcy would try to get Grime, Olivia, and Yunnan involved, though it would be very awkward with their human families. I imagine Grime in particular would have a lot of things to say to Sasha's parents XD.
Grime and Yunnan would probably try to fortify against Santa so he can't "invade". Olivia would go along with the various traditions to make Marcy happy, but would do so in the most prim and proper way possible. All the decorations would be absolutely perfect under her guidance.

Since we’re on the topic of amphibia episodes; I think Olivia and yunnan is overrated. It’s no a bad episode, but the reason I don’t enjoy it as most is that 1) the ending is just too uncomfortable for me to watch and 2) yulivias conversation at the start which is basically “Marcy’s just a backstabber” “yes, but she’s a useful backstabber”
I understand the fist point but that was also the point of the episode to introduce the "now things get worse" moment.
Matt did explain that Yunnan is very "Black and White" in her morality so seeing two out of three humans not being absolute paragons affected her views. Like an internet discussion.
Also personally I think Olivia only said what she said to convince Yunnan since the episode starts with her remembering her talk with Marcy and she immediately got to work making her conformtable as soon as she was out of the jar.
