Pop musicheads thinking theyre underdogs bc someone sometimes talks shit about pop music are so funny. Like i was never the type of person to whine about pop music (as a whole rather than separate artists) until i got my current job where i'm forced to listen to edsheeranesque crap 24/7. I've figured out that Death Metal is just legit so relaxing to me I can and do literally nod off to the stuff. Like, there I am, at a Death Metal gig, in the back, sitting or leaning, just nodding off to some guy growling about some awfully gross way to die, the bass is so thicc it makes the walls shake, I am zonked out of my mind, eyes closing, I could fall asleep to that. Gotta stay awake for just a lil bit.
