Gintama chapters 140-145 (Yoshiwara in flames arc)…

The idiot face i had while watching the chapters was memorable, really the arc was 10/10, the story of Seita, the presentation of Kamui, Housen as main villain, THE MAGNIFICENT RAGE OF KAGURA VS ABUTO!!!, but above all …

Gin Tama takes place in an alternate version of Japan’s Edo period in which aliens from outer space known as “Amanto” have invaded and implemented a ban on the use of swords, thus putting an end to the samurai way of life. One of these affected samurai is Gintoki Sakata, a now odd jobs freelancer who works alongside Shinpachi Shimura, Gintoki’s self-appointed apprentice, and Kagura, an alien girl with superhuman strength, to make ends meet while continuing to adhere to his own samurai code.

So, I’ve considered checking out the Gin Tama anime for quite a while now, but I decided to give the manga a try first because I wanted to see what the original source material is like. And I don’t know if it is because my expectations were higher than expected, but I find seeing out-of-context Gin Tama content to be funnier than reading it in-context. I was also surprised to see it have its serious moments as it seemingly comes off as more of a gag-type of story than something with a real plot. Perhaps I would need to continue reading it in order to better appreciate its nuances. But I will say that I did like the setting with its blend of Edo and modern elements.

There is also an unrelated oneshot manga included in the first volume called Dandelion. I thought the concept of it was interesting, but the execution to be so-so, much like my overall first impression of Gin Tama itself.

Thank you for taking the time to read this review! I hope you will check out Alice in Mangaland for more manga reviews in the future! Arigato gozaimasu! Thank you!

These are the previous steps before getting it ‘completely’ done… Anyways, I really like how the original turned out like this. It was so different (I think). Here, look.

What do you think? Both suck? Well you– Nah, you don’t suck. I know. I know… (I just need more time and practice to improve!)

( AND THANKS FOR READING ME TIL THE END. :’) ✨)

PS: SOME FREE ADVISE ON HOW TO IMPROVE WOULD BE AWESOME! Just saying. :’^)

Need to digitalise them and fix some ugly mistakes (bad proportions) yet, but… I finished this today, so I really wanted to share it! (Any advice on how to improve will be gladly taken.)
