Finally put together some costume concepts for villain Oliver and superhero Oliver, Frostbite and Glacio respectively B^)
Struggled very much with Glacio’s design…I did two options for coloring because I do really like the cream + blue combo, but I think design B is much more uniform and clear. Shoutout to CSP’s many snow brushes 👍

Hi! I was just wondering what the godtier title for an INFJ 9w8 might be if its not too much trouble.
9w8 screams Heart Player With Concerning Stress Issues. The strong focus on peacekeeping, internal emotional balance, and dissociation as coping are Very Heart.
INFJ meanwhile is a very active personality type. Concerned with righting injustice and broadly imporiving society by any means necessary.
I'm sorry to have to diagnose you with Dirk Strider, but I think a Prince of Heart is a pretty natural fit.

Tess' Sharpuary - 15. Ashwinder
When a romantic stroll turns into a heated battle, you better make sure you're on the Potions master's side.
chapter specific tags: established relationship, an attempt to write action
relationships: aesop sharp x reader
Tumblr media
15. Ashwinder (1k)
tw: descriptions of violence, blood, sexual content implied (lightly and briefly)
Time stood still as the two parties stared at each other, the silence of the forest deafening.
It was supposed to be a normal stroll through the forbidden forest. The day was warm, overly so, and many people lingered by bodies of water rather than leisurely perusing the streets of Hogsmeade or the various hamlets. Aesop and his sweetheart decided it was a perfect day to stretch their legs, and the Forbidden forest's cool shade looked more alluring than ever. Maybe they’d be able to gather some fresh ingredients while they were at it, an activity the professor not only found very useful, but also quite relaxing.
And so off they went, hand in hand, Aesop in his usual garb (with a cooling charm attached to all items, of course) and his young lover in a simple outfit of light blouse and skirt. It was far from the ordinary outfit she’d wear into the forest, or wherever it was she was currently exploring. However, seeing today the thing on their minds truly was a mere little romantic stroll through the age old woods, she deemed it unnecessary to change out of her leisure clothes.
Their softly spoken words reverbated off the trees, off their barks, their branches. Soft breeze made the woods sing a song as ancient as time itself, and its inhabitants too seemed to be enjoying the afternoon, birds chirping sweetly, little pitter patter of bunny rabbit paws scattering all around the couple. The woman was quick to point out each and every doe and deer that seemed unconcerned with their presence, as well as all the magical beasts peering at them curiously from where they were roaming around their nests.
Both knew something felt wrong, however, when the sounds of the forest around them got more and more quiet until complete silence replaced them
“What do we have here?” a mean, rough female voice cut through the air, “a couple of lovebirds!” An Ashwinder suddenly appeared from somewhere behind the shrubs, closely followed by two other bandits. The couple looked around themselves and noticed that they were surrounded by a group of at least ten dark wizards and witches. “What’s a pretty bird like yourself doing with an old geezer like him? How much do you pay her, old man, huh?” mocked one of the men, large, bulky, bald, and laughing at his own words. The woman who spoke first, their leader apparently, came closer: “Whatever it is, you’ll be handing it over to us. And we may actually let you leave here safe and sound…”
Aesop and his young lover looked at the people surrounding them, and then at each other. And they smiled. It was obvious these crooks weren’t what remained of Rookwood’s lot, majority of which fled after a very stubborn Ravenclaw rid the Highlands of him and his second in command once and for all, but rather someone new entirely. Because if these idiots were from the top hat-donning arsehole’s group of sorry lost existences, they would know one very important thing: The couple wasn’t stuck here with the Ashwinders, the Ashwinders were stuck here with them.
Without a single word, the lovers whipped out their wands and began sending spell after spell in the criminals’ directions.
The young woman grinned at the shocked faces of their ambushers. Some of them didn’t even have their wands drawn, the imbeciles! Of course, this only made them such incredibly easy targets. Her Glacio at the leader and the couple of tossers next to her was swiftly followed by the potions master’s Diffindo, cutting the frozen fiends painfully. They skillfully dodged the curses sent their way and shared their cast Protegos, and soon the criminals began scattering to get away from them.
Following Aesop’s Expulso, several of the fiends were blown up into the air in a fit of limbs and cacophony of pained yelps. “You have to teach me that spell!” his sweetheart shouted over the noise of battle with an obvious smile.
“Cowards! Get back here! You’re going to run away from an old man and some little girl?!” the leader cried, even as the crimson of blood from the professor’s Diffindo stained the front of her robes. “Oh, do shut up, you cow!” cried the young woman in answer, and the potions master marvelled at the ancient magic flowing through her as she raised her arm up, gathering all the magic around them into her very wand. With loud crackling and sizzling of bright blue, she brought it down on the leader, an explosion booming through the air upon impact.
And suddenly, there was no masked, cloaked dark witch. In her place stood a small, rather skinny dark-feathered chicken.
An unexpected chuckle rolled from Aesop’s mouth. They were long past on their own again, the rest of the bandits having run away to lick at their wounds, and hopefully reconsider their occupation. Well, everyone except Mrs Eggatha McClucking here. “I’d ask you to teach me this in turn, but I suppose that’s not possible, huh?” Aesop asked with a small grin, the impromptu battle leaving his cheeks slightly flushed, and his hair wild. His lover grinned and walked the short way back towards him. “What happens to her now?” he proceeded to ask, his hands unconsciously coming up to take hold of her waist. She tilted her head slightly: “I don’t know, actually… I never stuck around to find out. Either she’ll be lucky enough to make it to some chicken coop in one of the hamlets, or… Well, you know how it is. Mongrels have to eat too…”
His hands slowly moved her hips, making her smile further and lean into him. “That was rather exhilarating, wasn’t it?” she asked.
“Hm… I say we go back home…” Aesop took a deep breath, his chest pressing further against that of his sweetheart, eyes growing darker. The young woman had to laugh. One minute they’re battling dark wizards, brilliantly so even though severely outnumbered, and the other, they are pressed against one another, their hunger clearly rising with each second. “Wouldn’t want to give the new chicken here a show,” Aesop said slyly, one of his hands sneaking down to squeeze at the girl’s bottom quickly, prompting her to bite at her lip, her own cheeks growing warmer under his ravenous gaze.
“Apparate us home, then…”

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed ☺

Tom Marvolo Riddle <3
Partners
warnings: none
in which you, a snarky 3rd year finds yourself partnering with 5th year Tom Riddle + time jump of seven years (20 y/n and 22 y/o tom)
"Why have you invited me here?"
"I know what you're up to, Riddle."
His smug look doesn't falter as I lay the cards I have on the table.
"You've been using your prefect status to sneak around the halls and your asshole minions are the richest of the pureblood families. You're up to something."
"You are a thirteen year old girl," he clenches his teeth, "you're old enough to know to keep your nose out of business that is clearly above you."
My cheeks light like fire, I can feel the blood rushing to them, "I'm the top of my class. I'm not stupid!"
"No, just extremely emotional clearly."
"You know nothing of me."
He laughs, he truly laughs, "I know you're a child. You may be bright in your studies but you would not last a moment involved in what you wish to be involved in."
I hesitate as my hand clutches my wand. If he won't believe me, if he won't listen, I'll show him.
"Petrificus Totalus!"
He blocks me.
"Childs play."
"Incendia!" he doesn't even wave his wand.
My mouth falls agape, he takes joy in it too. Watching me choke on my own air as I block the flames barreling at me.
"You know wandless magic."
"Cruci-"
"Lapis glacio!" it grazes his fingers, the grey stone caking over his knuckles as his own mouth falls agape.
"Where did you learn that?"
I smile, "Wouldn't you love to know, Riddle?"
He glares, a sigh passing his lips, "You wish to follow me?"
"I wish to learn from you."
"To follow me." he insists.
I draw closer with my wand raised, "I follow no one."
He grabs hold of the tip of my wand, lowering it with a roll of his eyes, "That's lesson one. You don't make the rules, child."
"And your lesson is that I don't follow them either."
***
"Crucio." I watch their bodies fall, contort as the spell hits them unexpectedly. They writhe for what feels like hours as Tom approaches my side.
"Took you long enough."
I narrow my eyes, glancing to the statues behind us. The Aurors he'd offered to battle while I handled mine.
"Funny to mock me when you used my spell to win your fight you arse," I glare.
He nudges my hand with his own as he sighs, "Don't be cocky it's unbecoming."
"Don't be a raging murderer it's unbecoming."
His fingertips brush my lips as he shushes me, "You've never seemed to mind, little one."
I give my best angry face to cover the flustered red of my cheeks, my eyebrows knitting together, "Do not hush me, Riddle."
He gives me a grin, "Do not give me orders, Riddle."
I cave. He knows he's won the moment his and my new last name rolls off of his tongue. Bastard.
"Well my dearest partner we need to get home."
I start to walk away
"We are not partners y/n."
He steps behind me.
"Does lovers tickle your fancy, psycho?"
A smack lands on my arse, I jump.
"Tom!"
"Lovers actually does tickle my fancy."
"You're cruel."
"The girl that likes torture calling me cruel? To what do I owe the honor?"
I swallow my annoyance as I take his cold hand in my own.
"Hold on, I'm apparating us."
"Orders again?"
We snap from the grounds into the manor, a blonde head jerking around to stare at us.
"We are partners." I grumble
"No we are not." Tom returns.
"Are you finally admitting that she calls the shots?"
"Malfoy-"
This could definitely be better but I just thought it was a cute idea- I just read the most amazing Tom fic on Ao3- Lily and Petunias sister has magic and goes back in time to kill Tom but that never happens and its the most precious thing. Plus she goes dark for him, but mind you theyre 13. It's cute seeing kid Tom Riddle obsess over hot chocolate... "A Riddle To Solve" by sstar2000 It just inspired me to write for Tom...
but i hope you liked this :)

Astroneer is by far my favorite game and it has such a small but dedicated fanbase. I will be making a long post here about the general game, progression, missions, and some very heavy spoilers for late-game. Also, its an independent studio making the game and bless its nearly perfect.
This will likely be the longest post I ever make on this hellsite (affectionate) and it'll be worth it.
First up, the setting. Astroneer is a game set in a different star system, with five planets and two moons. Each planet/moon has unique challenges, resources, and requirements to properly explore and utilize. You are The Astroneer, sent to this system to exploit its resources and research the system. You land on Sylva, the first of the planets, remarkably similar to our home of Earth. It is orbited by a singular, crater-pocked moon named Desolo. Nearby is Calidor, an arid, desert-like planet similar to Mars. Then there's Vesania and Novus, exotic, alien-like forested worlds. Glacio is the frigid tundra planet, and Atrox rounds out the group by being awful and feeling hostile down to the air around you. Astroneer's core gameplay loop is exploration -> collection -> manufacturing -> repeat. You start out with a tiny shelter, go out and grab some basic materials, build some better stuff, expand your base, get more stuff, go find more resources, get better ways to explore and manufacture, etc. So, in a sense, its like Minecraft and Factorio and maybe Satisfactory, but I've never played that last one.
Astroneer has so many mechanics and systems to play with that I'd have to make a 2 hour long video essay discussing them all. Automated crafting, resource gathering, transportation, research, processing, and more. I really only have delved into automation twice, and both times I've been floored by how INTENSE it is. There are: Storage sensors, power sensors, proximity repeaters, button repeaters, count repeaters, and thats just the BASIC items.
Everything below this is spoiler territory, so if you're happy with what you've read, congrats. Lots more below the cut.
First up: Gateway Engines and Gateway Portals. The bread and butter of 1.0 and when the lore and theorycrafting really got going. The Gateway engines apparently generate gravity in weird ways and are at the cores of each planet/moon, needing a unique resource to activate. There are six (or two, for the moons) purple nebula-filled structures (Gateway Portals) on each planet that require 30 seconds of power PER NODE to activate, and the power requirement increases as the planetary difficulty escalates. Sylva needs 6 power, and Atrox needs 30 power. For reference, the highest output portable generator of power has an output of 9 units a second. Everything higher is either stationary or dependent on environmental power for output. And since we're on the topic, energy production varies from planet to planet, and the day/night cycles are even different.
Sylva is the most neutral, with an average cycle, Desolo has no wind but decent sun, Calidor is REALLY good with solar power, Glacio has fantastic wind, Vesania and Novus both have good wind, and Atrox has almost nothing. Not even any unique planetary resources. This means that each planet, to have a functional base, needs a special set of power generation solutions, and there's even DIFFERING TERRAIN HARDNESS THAT REQUIRES DIFFERENT DRILLS AND TOOLS.
Moving on to the story, the player, through missions, is tasked with accessing and activating each planetary core in order to activate a strange satellite orbiting the sun. Once completed, you pass into a strange portal and then respawn back at your base. Congrats! You... did the thing? But that was when 1.0 came out back in February of 2019. In the four years since, Missions, Power, Trains, Xenobiology, Automation, and more updates have come out. The most interesting of which is Awakening. And Awakening introduced the lore and told the story of the game. It explained everything.
When you have completed three specific missions in the mission log, a new one is added. It simply says: "Help." And then it asks you to break reality. Something is speaking to you through the mission terminals. A little fox named EVA speaking to you on behalf of Chronos, the AI in charge of everything on the ship you came here on. Except... You never made it. The ship crashed. Life support, repair systems, the generators, all of it damaged. Data banks and the SOS system. So Chronos shoved everyone onboard the ship into a simulation, or at least unique instances of the simulation. This includes you.
Yep. That's right. Everything is a simulation. The sky, stars, all of it. Even the sun is a simulation, and THE DAMNED SUN IS THE CONTROL CENTER. You are told that Chronos' memories are broken, and need to be repaired so that the SOS signal can be sent and you can all be rescued. So you go around, learning more about how the world should have been. The wrecks? Originally fully-populated bases. Calidor? It was supposed to have gold! Vesania and Novus were massive research bases for alien structures. Atrox was supposed to be radioactive and with some sort of anomalous destruction present. The missions have been helping you repair the systems, the Gateway Portals and Engines have been repairing the real-world systems of the ship. The reason you respawn is because your real body never died. Just a copy, a simulated form. The dead bodies aren't real people, just NPCs that didn't load! The data is corrupted and missing shit so it throws in broken stuff! You're not alone in a cold and unforgiving world, you're just in a simulation like thousands of others! The ghostly versions of the Wanderer, the Conductor, and the Scientist are just what's left of the only casualties from the entire crash!
So you go around collecting the memory fragments, bringing them back to the control room to try to fix Chronos. Except... at the end, EVA realizes what the plan actually is. The memory fragments, they're not just memories. They're data. Codes for a manual shutdown of Chronos. Chronos came to the conclusion that there's not enough power for life support, AI systems, the simulation, AND the SOS beacon at once. Something needs to go, and Chronos chose to have you pull the switch. EVA is the final piece needed, and with everything together, you watch as this little fox and the AI who didn't want anyone to die fade to nothing so you can call for help. And it works. And at the end, Chronos left you a gift: EVA. A copy of the little fox for you to take care of. Someone to keep you company and remind you that you will be saved. You came here unaware of what was going on, died perhaps dozens of times, traveled across worlds, set up rail lines, studied alien life, and then uncovered the memories of a shipboard AI. All because the AI refused to give up and saw you as the best hope for the crew surviving. AND I SWEAR IF NONE OF YALL AT LEAST LOOK UP THIS GAME AND TRY IT BECAUSE ITS ON EVERY PLATFORM I WILL SCREAM. I LOVE THIS GAME AND I WILL DIE DEFENDING IT.
