Out of curiosity, how much of your game's themes are inspired by Glass Mask? I noticed the secret admirer roses in the preview and I was wondering if that was at all linked, given the theatre themes! (resent since a portion was removed oops! Thanks tungle)

Since the game released, it's garnered a lot of comparisons to "Glass Mask" and I can see why!

But believe it or not, I actually never read it or even heard of it before. (I guess it's not lesbiany enough to be on my radar...) The story is far more inspired by Phantom of the Opera, and a lot of the same archetypes/themes seem to be present.

Reading "Glass Mask" is definitely on my homework list for working on the rest of the game, though. I can tell just from the wiki summary we're already got several coincidental similarities and I would rather that my homages be intentional than by accident. Like... I find it incredibly funny that the "rival" girl in Glass Mask looks exactly like my protagonist:
