A musician can shock us in many ways. Of course, I'm cheating with my next choice, since Anni-Frid Lyngstad's last solo album might not be a surprise, she sung in her language before, though she rarely ventured in the style of Djupa Andetag. Then again, I consider the album to be a homecoming for her. No, her singing in Swedish is not the only reason I call the LP like that. No, the platter is basically her checking a possibility of a much different career. Don't laugh, since one notices a glimpse into an alternative Frida, Frida that was more interested in the style the 70's had no clue what to do with. That might be the reason for us being baffled by the album, she shows the brand she wished to pursue before her pop stardom.

Glenmark drug for treating uncontrolled asthma gets Indian regulator's nod

Mumbai-based Glenmark has got the Indian regulator’s approval for a drug to treat patients of uncontrolled asthma. The fixed dose combination (FDC) drug will be sold under the brand name Indamet.

An FDC drug combines two or more active ingredients into a single pill in a fixed dosage ratio. Indamet--a combination of Indacaterol and Mometasone--will be available in three strengths and it will be priced between Rs 349 and Rs 449.

"We are proud to introduce this novel fixed-dose combination Indamet, which is the first of its kind in India, offering an affordable treatment option to both adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older suffering from uncontrolled asthma," said Alok Malik, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Group vice president and head (India Formulations), in a statement.

Asthma affects more than 34 million people in India, causing thousands of deaths every year. According to the Global Burden of Disease report by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), asthma accounted for 27.9 percent of disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in Indians. The disease causes three times higher mortality and two times higher DALYs compared to the global proportion of asthma. Out of the patients undergoing conventional treatment in India, up to 49 per cent have uncontrolled asthma.

After seeing the image about the testosterone recall I decided to go look it up and there are a number of companies that have issued recalls.

It seems most of the recalls relate to manufacturing issues and sterility of the drugs. This could pose potential health risks to those taking them.

Please take the time to check the lot/batch no. and dates on your testosterone if you take it.

Heads up to all us taking T: check your vials to see if they are from Sun Pharm with the batch # HAC3427A exp 08/2023. There's a recall out. It's a class II so it's supposedly not a super serious health risk, but if you've used it, or have one of the batches call 1-800-818-4555 and then call you pharmacy and HRT dispenser to see about getting a replacement stat!
