Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: June 11, 2023
There is a precious peace that comes directly from our Heavenly Father. It’s a peace that people from the outside looking in just can’t understand. The storm can be raging all around us, with the winds threatening to uproot us and the water rising so hard we can barely tread water, but the peace of God still rest over us. God’sWord tells us we will have tribulation in this world, but Jesus has…

Know the Enemy’s Targets
Today’s Saying
Satan targets both the spiritually strong and the spiritually weak. Whatever the level of our spiritual maturity, the enemy has a plan to make us spiritually stagnant.
Today’s Scripture
“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” (Luke 11:28).
Today’s Sermonette
Satan targets both the spiritually strong and the spiritually weak. Whatever the level of our spiritual maturity, the enemy has a plan to make us spiritually stagnant. Jesus warned against this in His parable of the sower (see Matthew 13).
In this analogy, the sower is God and the seeds are God’s Word. The devil knows he has no power over the sower or the seed.
This is why he focuses on corrupting the soil where the seeds land so that maybe he can prevent God’sWord from taking root in our hearts.
Jesus warns against three types of soil where seeds suffer. Today we will look at the first two.
In Matthew 13:19, there is soil by the wayside: “When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.”
When our hearts become hardened due to unconfessed sin or bitterness, we lose our sensitivity to God’s voice and our understanding of His Word.
The next type of soil is the shallow soil full of stones: “The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time”(Matthew 13:20-21).
Fresh converts who are full of joy and awe over their new faith can quickly fall into old habits when their friends ridicule them. Even longtime believers can have shallow soil if they have failed to mature
beyond spiritual infancy.
What's the key to cultivating fertile soil? As we continually humble ourselves before God in prayer, find daily nourishment in the Word of God, and walk in obedience, we will be deeply rooted in Christ—resilient in the face of opposition, drawing all our strength from Him.
Today’s Supplication
Father, show me if I am one of these types of soil where the seeds of Your Word are not able to take root. I want to be deeply rooted in You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“Thank you, God!”
That’s how simple it is to thank God! It doesn’t have to be a long prayer with big, fancy words. Short and sincere please God more.
“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:5-8)
I read a devotional today on the Bible app which reminded me: “One of the best ways for our heart to stay in a gratitude posture is to count our blessings. That’s right. Literally start naming them. To simply stop and count our blessings will lead to an attitude overhaul.”
If we just simply sat down alone with God and gave Him a simple list of the things He’s done for or given us followed by a “Thank you, God!” It would show Him we are grateful for our abundance of blessings He gives us on a daily basis. Which is how often we should being saying our “Thank you, God!” Prayer—daily.
“Be persistent in prayer, and keep alert as you pray, giving thanks to God.” ‭‭(Colossians‬ ‭4:2)‬
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
And gratitude brings us peace.
“The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful.” (Colossians‬ ‭3:15‬)
We’re created by Him, our being and every breath comes as a gift from His Hands.
“In him we live and move and have our being!” (Acts 17:28)
“Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning.” ‭‭(James‬ ‭1:17‬)
Everything we have and see in our beautiful world comes from our Father in Heaven.
How could we not be grateful?!

God’s Plans (pt 2)
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)
Sometimes those plans may change, but that’s okay. God our Father always knows what’s best for His Children.
He never fails us.
God has special plans for each and every one of us. He planned our lives even before we were born. Each of us has something special that makes us different and unique.
We each bring something new and valuable to the table.
Although different we all have the most important thing in common—we believe in and serve the same (Thee One and Only) God. And are one with Him.
“There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
“You are the body of Christ. Each one of you is a part of it.” (1 Corinthians 12:27)

Esther
Be an Esther, bold and courgeous
Enough to stand for the truth,
To voice your opinion and fight
for the good of others even when
it means to sacrifice yourself.
If God has put you in a position,
it is a purpose.
Never be afraid to heed that inner voice.

Honest, Good-Hearted People
Honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word. And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. Luke 8:15 NLT All the glory, praises and honor be to the Holy Father in Jesus' precious name ! The context of the subject verse is the parable of the sower. And the seed mentioned is the word of God. Through this parable, Jesus talked about different kinds of people in this world. And the honest and good-hearted people are the ones the subject verse refers to. Truly, the honest and good-hearted people shall cling on to the God's word. They shall take the God's word with all seriousness and imbibe the word. For by doing so, they shall patiently produce a huge harvest. Just like a farmer who plants the seeds and waits patiently for the produce. The Bible says that they produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. James 1:22 NLT Beloved, from all the above we could draw the following conclusion. The children of God — the honest and good-hearted people shall practically apply the word of God in their lives. They do not have laid-back attitude, but always believe to do the God's word now. As the above verse says, we shall not just listen, but do what the God's word says. Read the full article

What are the Consequences to Self-Serving Lifestyle? #StandFastAndPrayForTheUSA Day 12
Consequences to turning to Embracing Self and Worshiping other gods.
So often we remember the verse we previously talked of – if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and I will heal their land.
But we often forget later in the chapter the people of Israel did not follow those instructions. The Bible God’sWord is our guide when we don’t follow it. There are consequences, often forgotten! People question... Why has God allowed so many horrible things to happen?
Perhaps it’s because this land has forsaken God, embracing selfish self-serving ways, wallowing in wickedness, filled with hate for the righteous, and serving darkness (satan) as their god! We do not seek God first with our whole hearts, in His righteousness. For when we do then we will see the Kingdom of God change.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NIV‬‬
““And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land and this house?’ Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’ ””
‭‭II Chronicles‬ ‭7:21-22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Pray Today
Lord, forgive me for my pride and arrogance of self-seeking instead of seeking you with my whole heart. Teach me to seek You first, Your Kingdom, and your righteousness.
Lord, I ask for your forgiveness as I turn from my selfish wicked ways, forgive me for forsaking YOU believing the gods of this world.
Lord place in me a boldness to share the Love of your father to draw all men to your kingdom. Lord, we will never give up. There is #AlwaysHope

Peace
Tumblr media
Each day we should speak the word of God boldly over our children, community, family, finances, health, job, and relationships. Speak life where death is attempting to reign. God’sword is healing to our flesh and refreshment to our bones. In the midst of complete turmoil, where things look impossible, God’s Word is all-powerful and never returns void ( Isa 55:11). It brings life, light and the…
