Yahweh Rains Bread from Heaven

1 Then they set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt. 2 And the whole congregation of the sons of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. 3 And the sons of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of Yahweh in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to put this whole assembly to death with hunger.”

4 Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My law. 5 Now it will be on the sixth day, they shall prepare what they bring in, and it will be twice as much as they gather daily.” 6 So Moses and Aaron said to all the sons of Israel, “At evening you will know that Yahweh has brought you out of the land of Egypt; 7 and in the morning you will see the glory of Yahweh, for He hears your grumblings against Yahweh; and what are we, that you grumble against us?”

Yahweh Gives Meat and Bread

8 And Moses said, “This will happen when Yahweh gives you meat to eat in the evening and bread to the full in the morning; for Yahweh hears your grumblings which you grumble against Him. And what are we? Your grumblings are not against us but against Yahweh.”

9 Then Moses said to Aaron, “Say to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, ‘Come near before Yahweh, for He has heard your grumblings.’” 10 Now it happened as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel, that they turned toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of Yahweh appeared in the cloud. 11 And Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 12 “I have heard the grumblings of the sons of Israel; speak to them, saying, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread, so that you shall know that I am Yahweh your God.’”

13 So it happened at evening that the quails came up and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. 14 Then the layer of dew evaporated, and behold, on the surface of the wilderness there was a fine flake-like thing, fine as the frost on the ground. 15 And the sons of Israel saw it and said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread which Yahweh has given you to eat. 16 This is what Yahweh has commanded, ‘Gather of it every man as much as he should eat; you shall take an omer apiece according to the number of persons each of you has in his tent.’”

Gratitude time

#today im doing it because it's easy and im overflowing with thankful things #very often i do it because it's hard #probably good to remember it CAN be easy #anyway #thankful for my team im gonna be travelling with and the enciuragement they are #its good to remember i am not on this ceazy ride alone #thankful for a genuinely good rich fulfilling day of class/prep #and the stories of God’s amazing provision from an incredible middle eastern guy who shared with us #and for the moroccan lady i met who now somehow is cooking us lunch tomorrow so now i get to try moroccan food #and her hospitality #and for a good comfy bed and the gift of a private room this qeek #and wifi cuz hey that's a bonus (not to be taken for granted this next month)#and a remarkable number of solutions for dumb lil problems #and for the fact that my goodby with The Boy tonight (the big goodbye. for 8 months)#which both of us were dreading because yknow the Big Sad #didnt actually hit either of us emotionally while we were together #which was such a gift. we got to spend 3 hours together just being peaceful and present and having good conversations #and thinking about how to do dating well this year #and praying together #and it was just. so good #and i am so so glad i get to date him this year and share this crazy thing with him even though itvis gonna be really really hard sometimes #and he made me a bracelet to take with me 🥺

in a turn of events surprising no one except me maybe this semester is about learning how to ask for help and how to accept imperfection

#one thing about me is I will always be looking for the Narrative in life #I need things to make sense from a Themes and Plot perspective #anyway most of the things I get really stressed about? little to no consequence for not doing it exactly perfectly the first time.#Wise people: hey you know humans make mistakes so a lot of times provisions for those mistakes are built into systems #Me: *experiences grace extended for late assignments and understanding when Life Happens* by Talos this can't be happening #anyway all this to say I will continue to stress about school unfortunately but methinks it's not as bad as my brain tries to make it.#thank God for favor with professors and for helping me slowly extend grace to myself for being less than perfect

i cant explain or understand why or how but theres a specific order that stagecoach items go in. its just like that. you have to put them in the correct order.

#me talking #i think this is from my dd1 habits of having a very specific order for provisions #but. new. because provisions are sorted automatically (god bless)#what i mean by this. you cannot put a map on slot 4 you should put it in 2 or 3 and a heavy thing in slot 4 #scouting goes in slot 1 unless it looks heavy then its slot 2 but NOT slot 3 or 4

God is so good.

This morning I started panicking about the money situation. I ca. pay rent but there is no money for gas or food or anything else. Next week I can pay my car payment and my insurance but again no money for anything else.

I was anxious and nearly started crying. Instead I prayed as I have been praying for provision.

In the car I kept praying and God gave me these reminders.

Be still and know I am God.

Nothing is impossible with God.

See the Kingdom of God and His righteousness first and all these things will be added to you. Do not worry about tomorrow, tomorrow will take care of itself.

Praise God. I love how He loves me.
