Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla 2's original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl for $45 via Death Waltz. The score is composed by Akira Ifukube (Godzilla).
The double-LP album features a screen-printed D side. It's pressed on "Mega Buster vs Heat Ray" colored vinyl, limited to 2,000. It's housed in a gatefold jacket with art by Luke Preece inside a Mondo-exclusive die-cut slipcase with spot varnish.
I find it amusing that Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II made Junior some kind of herbivore subspecies of Godzilla, to imply he's "nicer" because we are biased towards herbivores like that... but then also made him a parasite by being the giant monster equivalent of the cuckoo bird, parasites often being perceived as "worse" than predators.
I don't think it's often acknowledged how royally Rodan got screwed over in that movie.
You gotta love how every time Godzilla sees an infant or younger member of his species, he's like "Oh guess I'm a dad, this is mine now". Bro is the definition of I'm not the step dad, I'm the dad who stepped up.
I probably should have posted this on Father's day.
Final one for now, and it is gonna have at least one reblog for more photos, this one has so many things for it.
I present...
Mechagodzilla! This Mechagodzilla is from Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II, and he has a lot of accessories. He also comes with the Garuda and Fire Rodan(will be covered later). This Mechagodzilla is made through reverse engineering the technology in Mecha-King Ghidorah from two movies ago(Godzilla vs King Ghidorah). He has a diamond coating that helps absorb Godzilla's atomic breath and uses the energy to fire it back at Godzilla(or any other monster) with his stomach cannon.
These are all the accessories that come with him, the two pieces in the back are part of Garuda's accessories for it to do something that will be shown in the reblog(curse Tumblr and its 10 image limit). He comes with a back part that allows for a certain ship to attach to him, extra hands that are specifically for his flight, a second set of eyes that have a damaged eye from the fight with Fire Rodan, the G-Crusher cables, the parts to interchange with Garuda, and two stands to hold both Garuda and Fire Rodan.
The title of the 2002 movie, the runtime of the 1993 movie, and the synopsis of the 1974 movie. Exquisite.
Based on another chain's description, I think it's going to be GXMG (although that's the only one of the trio without an MPAA rating).
Update: Yes, it's Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, in what I believe will be the widest release of a Toho Godzilla film in the States since Godzilla 2000. Well deserved!
