Goldmask is on equal level of based as Ranni (I am just sharing a cool video lore and adding my thoughts bear with me)

This is actually a really good analysis?? Apparently this video was 10 months ago, but I've just seen it! Me and @val-of-the-north also discussed how Goldmask's ending is actually very good because it removed the aspect of Golden Order taking the shape of the world as some person wanted it (since "Gods are not different than men" in their biases)!

But yes, there is enough evidence that Greater Will itself doesn't know what it wants besides just existing and doesn't care what 'order' is, so it chooses some mortal to give it purpose. Thus, removing the 'ruler' from equation logically should make 'order' vague and misshapen, and by result everyone can interpret it individually and advance from it the way they see fit! You are only loved or hated by it as much as you want, you choose your definitions and limitations. It is a nice way to coexist albeit risky, because the magic coming from Greater Will IS a lot of power. What if someone really, really bad and powerful seizes it just right and will be able to hurt others with it still? Besides, people can still create their own institutions and cults, so the aspect of 'everyone being free to interpret and advance from the order how they want' is threatened, people can get misled and not realise the power they have within the new system!

However, with big danger there is ALSO a possibility of creating great things. Ranni's ending, similarly, offers freedom and choice, but it deals with the potential risks like this by removing the power of Greater Will to be "infinitely far away" so no one can seize and use the cosmic horrors! For at least next 1000 years. (in case of confusion, here is analysis on how Ranni's ending got mistranslated too). Goldmask ending is great possibilities but also great dangers, when Ranni's ending removes them both forever. They're equal in their importance and goodness, it is down to personal preference.

Good to also see it pointed out in this video that ironically, Ranni and Lord of Frenzied Flame are not that rebellious and still are doing what Greater Will wanted from them; it chose Ranni as an Empyrean to start a new era and she served that purpose, when Chaos is another side of Greater Will's and its existential dread, it wants to die as much as it wants to live. And "Fia and Dung Eater's endings do not fix things, they make those oppressed by the Order BECOME the order" is a phrase I did not know I needed.....
