Fishuary day 2: Salmonid

I chose a Golden Trout!

(Oncorhynchus aguabonita or Oncorhynchus mykiss aguabonita)

Their big purple/black spots are super pretty and look so elegant with the gold. I'm not great with color theory, so my gold isn't as stunning as these fish really are.

Excellent question! Personally my favourite trout colour is golden (trout), I love the patterns! Yellow and golden fish are among the prettiest to me.

I am also very partial to rainbow trout/steelhead! Mostly because I’ve worked with them and I’m most familiar with them. When I hear “salmon pink” my mind typically goes to their pink side even though I know what salmon pink actually references, I think the idea of the colour being about the outside of the fish is better ^^’

Day 13 of 31 days until Dissertation Deadline

Hello!

Neil banging out the tunes got me out of bed today. Happy April 13th!

So, admittedly today was a treat day, despite my lacklustre performance this week. I spent some time at the fishing tourney on my island and had Nando's for dinner (even though I can't really afford it but sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh).

But today I:

Continued reading 'Book 10' of Le Morte d'Arthur. This is a really long book so it's taking me a while but hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow.

Caught a golden trout! It was without bait during a round of the fishing tourney?! I was honestly flabbergasted.

Finished starting every section of my dissertation on 4thewords.

Finished the final middle scene of my portfolio. Only two to go now!

Finished knitting the current section of blanket while I was listening to Le Morte.

Prepared to go shopping, then did so. We love a full cupboard.

So quite a lot now I'm looking at it. Progress is best served with chicken wings and garlic broccoli, I guess.

Tomorrow promises to have some finish lines as well. So I'll see you then!

Meanwhile, on Vibrantis, I took advantage of the rain to do some fishing. Managed to get a lot of bug models from Flick, but never really did for CJ. I decided to change that. I needed to catch some fish! This night, I managed to catch 2 golden trouts. The screenshot for both are too similar, so we'll stick with one for now.
