A complete state of absurdism, I scroll down my twitter between two grammys posts there are hundred posts about how Sudan has surpassed the internationally recognized threshold to declare famine because of the on going war, there 30.000 killed Palestinian so far due to the on going genocide, Congo is going through worst genocides that we actually contribute to it, but then I scroll down to posts of one of the biggest events, that invites one of the biggest artists with unfathomable impact, but instead of it being an event that can evoke solidarity and put pressure and mediatize even more the necessity of urgent interventions...but not it only evoke the state of the most depressing absurdism in this world <3

What’s your opinion on H’s bodylanguage when k*d harp touches his hip at Grammys? I came across that video on Fb where the comments section is a mess. Do you think they’re very good friends and H was comfortable with his touch? And do you think he was comfortable in his harlequin suit?

I've answer this question before, but i can't find the answer on my blog and i don't mind answering again.

I think H looked uncomfortable and K*d's hand on H' ass was very unneccessary. I think they're work colleagues and friendly. I think Ki*, like many of H's industry associates, is an asshole, an asslicker and a bit of a narcissist. I think the hand on hip/ass was possessive and a power move from Ki*. I don't think H appreciated it, but i'm also not sure how firmly he let him know that afterwards either...

I do think H was comfortable in his Harlequin suit, but i think H looked worn, overworked, underweight and pale. I don't think he enjoys red carpets very much.

I was today years old when I found out anyone named an award after Dr. Dre's b!tch ass. That award might as well be plastic. I knew he had that 'beats, punches and hits by Dre' line but who tf named an award after this piece of shit. Must be politics.

Who wants to win an award named after someone who gives women concussions, shoots at them, makes fun of them in his songs and on top of that, is a deadbeat dad who hasn't even met his grandchildren. Melt that award and repurpose it into a stool or something.

it’s their final days in Los Angeles before they return home to London. Harry had planned to ask Bel to move in, but he would be touring most of 2023, so he changed his mind instead, promising her a vacation of her choice, and to his surprise, she asked him to surprise her instead. 

Tonight is his final show in Los Angeles (until January), and it’s Grammy Nominations time. There are various awards he can be chosen for, but there’s that fear that none will say his name. Bel sits next to him, holding his hand tight in her lap. She’s grounding him, and he’s thankful. His team asked if he would like them to be there, and the truth was as much as he would love that, he wanted to celebrate (or not) on his own terms, which meant only him and Bel. Everyone understood and promised to be in touch as they’d be watching as well. 

The live stream was set to begin at 9am, and it would likely drag on as there were 91 categories to announce. It’s not like they’d mind; with their nerves, time would fly by. 

Bel had been strangely quiet, and he was concerned. 

“Baby, doing alright?” 

“Can I be honest?” 

Harry squeezes her hand, “always.” 

“I’m really nervous. I’ve heard many say the academy doesn’t matter, and that’s true, but there also is a big recognition in having your album be honored, and I want that for you.” 

“Bel,” he sighs. 

“Award season should not exist.”

“Ba–” 

“It’s starting!” 

They watch through the first few taking deep breaths and keeping each other steady when Best Pop Solo Performance is announced. Bel doesn’t react to hearing her friend Benito being called until she hears “As It Was” and jumps up in excitement. She turns to Harry, who looks calm as he smiles at her. 

“Good?” She asks. 

“Good,” he confirms.

It goes like this every time his name is called. She jumps in excitement and then checks in with him. He promises he’s happy and gives her a kiss. Harry feels his nerves get the best of him and pulls her to sit in his lap. 

The big categories are to be named, and he tries to relax, and he isn’t able to until Bel gives him a kiss promising everything will be okay. “As It Was” is nominated for record of the year, but there’s no reaction. 

“Bel?” 

He turns her to look at him, and he sees she’s crying, “lovie, baby, it’s okay.” 

“I’m so happy for you. I’m so proud. You told me so much about this album as you created it, and I’m honored to see you receive these nominations.” 

Harry feels himself fill with tears and hugs her close. It’s not long now. 

As Harry’s House is announced as the last album for “Album of the Year,” Bel breaks down in tears letting Harry hold her as she repeats how proud of him she is. That this album came from his heart, and everyone could see that. He deserved every bit of success. 

Harry’s phone has not stopped ringing, and they don’t spare it a glance. Harry’s House received seven nominations. 

Seven. 

There was so much Bel wanted to say, but she was at a loss for words. 

“I love you. I’m so proud of you.” 

Harry smiled, hearing the two phrases that made his heart skip a beat. His girlfriend was here to support him in his triumphs and failures. He felt so lucky. He felt so loved. 

Harry knew it would be okay come February, win or lose, because he had the best support system with Bel at the forefront. 

For now, he had seven nominations to celebrate with Bel, who was more than ready to show him how proud of him she was.

Tuned into the Grammy's for a bit & it was honestly the reminder I needed on why I don't tune into these things.

Funny thing is that there's legit info out in the world on how the Oscar's work & how it has nothing to to with the movies & everything to do with the money, branding & merchandise (sent over to the members of the academy who usually do not watch the movies at all & are often v open about it 🙃) & we still somehow as a society treat it as some sort of indicator.

Haven't looked into the inner Grammy's workings too close but it's probably a twin situation.

Even 'fair' awards would be controversial in most categories -with art being so subjective. But man oh man why would we ever trust a bunch of members of an American organization made up of super-privileged & out-of-touch folks to - of all people - tell us what music is actually "the best" 🫠

#oh and about AM in particular - #it's silly in the first place how you've got this category that manages to pit the lyrical & musical genius of Mirrorball against songs #that go like 'i went to school and I got a degree/all my frienda call it the big D' over and over in one rhythm #and like! I really don't want to shame any artists! because there's room for all of the types of art #but it's crazy that these two are suddenly put into competition against each other in any category at all. I don’t have Dwayne Johnson here tonight, but I do have someone called The Rock.”During Noah’s impactful words, the audience began to buzz in the arena, and The Rock approached Adele’s table to give her a big hug. Just downed on me I have not been live tumblring(?) these 23 Grammys so much. My lil input? Even tho we didn't have Taylor Swift nor Harry Styles, last year's were better. By a long shot. LONG.

Remember Lizzo's performance of Jerome? Billie Eilish's? That In Memoriam? Omg Lady Gaga's. There was old school, there was soul, there was SO.MUCH.ROCK. and am I wrong or NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys were there as well?(I think that was a different show) The only part that fucking sucked ass was Justin Bieber's Peach on piano. Stupid as shit.

But I'm here for this 50 year of Hip Hop bit. Damn it's fun. These VIBESSSZS goddang I'm time traveling.

Other than that the performances were mid as hell. Beyonce was there but not to perform?

And then the snub of the year. Ridiculous. This Grammy's are a joke. How is All Too Well (the 10min version) not THE song of the year? Never heard that "Just Like That" in all of last year. Bonnie seems like a lovely lady, no shade to her but fr the room went mute, they were all speechless, even her.

Anyway, I'd say a forgettable evening but we saw Taylor Swift dance all night and give a standing ovation to every single person who took the stage, Beyonce break a record and make history, the hip hop segment, and Dwayne Johnson give Adele an award and call her best friend within an hour of having met her.
