RETRO REVIEW: 100 Bullets 1-3 (1999)
RETRO REVIEW: 100 Bullets 1-3 (1999)
There has been almost as much inked spilled in writing about the Vertigo series 100 Bullets as there has been blood spilled in the story. This is the series that has it all for the mature comic fan. Bullets, sex, violence, spies, betrayal, secret organizations, brutality; did I mention violence? What started out as a unique and thought-provoking concept of a secret government agent handing out…

100 Bullets #1 (DC/Vertigo). This series started in 1999. It may be old-school but its the greatest crime comic DC ever published. W - Brian Azzarello. A - Eduardo Risso. C - Grant Goleash. This is a crime comic so yes that means the expected three words - "Mature Readers Only" Imagine the following - You have been a victim. Seen as guilty by everyone else including the law, you are living your life as best you can. A stranger introduces himself. He not only knows your trouble. He knows who did you wrong. He calls himself Agent Graves. He gives you a suitcase containing proof of your innocence, an untraceable gun and 100 rounds of ammunition plus a promise of no action from the police. What would you do? If you enjoy crime comics, this is a must-read!
