Hey Bridgey, literally all I want is (White Rose) Weiss having a sudden growth spurt and ending up about as tall as Winter, and Ruby realising she's now the shortest of her team... again... (anything else you can do whatever, I'm just emotionally craving that)

(Unfortunately for you, Weiss has never been taller than Ruby without heels)

“See? I told you I’d get taller than you one day.” 

Ruby paused for a moment when she realized she had to look up at Weiss, not quite sure when she managed to get a few inches taller. “Y-yeah, I can see that. When… when did that happen?” 

Weiss shrugged a bit. “I dont think I ever really paid attention. Guess I ended up with a late growth spurt.” 

“Seems like it…” Ruby sighed for a moment as she looked over Weiss, not sure how much she believed her. It had only been a couple years since they graduated Beacon, so it wasnt too likely that it was just a late growth spurt, especially with having been on missions with her over the last couple years, and she never did seem taller. 

“Though, it shouldnt matter much. I’m just glad I dont need to wear heels anymore to not look like a child.” 

Ruby chuckled a bit. “People thought you were a child? I thought your attitude would’ve made them think otherwise.” 

Weiss rolled her eyes. “You’d be surprised what people would think. Still, we should get going on our mission and not dally too much.” 

Ruby nodded and followed Weiss, still focused on how much taller that she had gotten. Though, she still wasnt sure why she was so focused on her height, it wasnt like she was bothered being shorter than most of her team anyway, but seeing Weiss taller than her started to make her feel self conscious. It was a strange feeling, one that she hadnt felt since she had started transitioning the year before she made it into Beacon. And yet, here she was, once again comparing herself to someone that she had a crush on and feeling… not quite herself. 

“Everything okay, Ruby?” Weiss asked as they walked. “You seem quieter than you normally are.” 

“I-I’m fine, really, I uh-” Ruby sighed and looked away. “How did you really get so tall?” 

“It was just a growth spurt-” 

“You’re just as tall as Yang now! How did you do that so quickly?” 

“Because I lied about my age!” 

Ruby stopped in her tracks and looked at Weiss curiously. “You… lied about your age?” 

“Well, not… me, but father…” Weiss sighed and found a stump to sit on. “After Winter ended up going off to Atlas, father wanted to make sure he had an heir ready, but I… I was still a bit too young. Then, he lied about my age to get me into school quicker. When I entered Beacon, I was fifteen, just like you.” 

“You… you were?” Ruby leaned against a tree, almost too surprised to realize how angry she was from the couple years of being treated like a child by her. A grudge she didnt realize she’d been carrying. “Then why did you keep treating me like you did when we first came to Beacon?”

“Because I… I couldnt… I wanted to tell the truth, but I needed to act like an adult for father and I couldnt let anyone know that I was younger than everyone… and if I admitted that I was a child like you, then-” 

“Then what? You thought we’d be angry?” 

“-you’d treat me… different.” 

Ruby paused for a moment when she saw Weiss look genuinely scared, not at all like a woman who knew exactly what she wanted. Nervous like she was when she first came to Beacon, still young and coming into who she was supposed to be. “We wouldn’t have.” 

Weiss looked up at her. “You would’ve-” 

“We would have treated you like a friend.” Ruby moved to sit down next to Weiss, leaning against her. “And… it would’ve been nice to know that there was someone my age on our team as well. Then maybe we both could’ve felt less alone.” 

“That… that would’ve been nice.” 

“But no more secrets, okay?” Ruby asked with a smile, standing up and offering a hand to Weiss. “Though, we should get back to our mission.” 

Weiss nodded and took Ruby’s hand. “No more secrets.”

Poker Nights at the Omega Timeline idea, take two

And this is where What is Poker Nights at the OT? Basically the premise would be to, much like Poker nights at the Inventory by TellTale, have 4 characters sat at a table and watching them go back and forth as you, the player, are sat with these characters on a off-the-clock basis playing a good game of poker. But instead of well-known characters from franchises colliding, it'd be Undertale AUs. And instead of the setting being the Inventory, it'd be in the Omega Timeline's very own Grillby's.

I'd tossed a few ideas before for what a hypotheticaLL roster could be, and I think I've generally hit a good balance here.

@invertedfate's Mettaton (BOX or SPIRAL, pick yer poison— I thought box could be funnier) — What's better than a fairly famous robot superstar coming down to a run down bar to avoid papparazis? But even out of the camera, his acting skills come in handy, he can bluff his cards real good. (… While originally I was going to go for Papyrus, I kinda feel the likely more raunchy route of the conversations would likely take would leave him with very little to add to conversations.)

@xtaleunderverse's XGaster — The high 'n mighty came to demonstrate his superiority with this fairly pointless game of cards. Instead, he's going to become the butt of the joke. He's prone to placing his eggs in a basket made out of conjectures, and paying the price for it.

@tatatale's ALIVE — The scientist was invited to this tournament, and she decided to finally come out of the woodworks at the request of her friends. I think she'd be very fun as a foil to the other characters at the table. Her experience with Multiverse stuff would offer a fun foil to the high 'n mighty XGaster.

@potoobrigham's Growthspurt Asriel — Nothing like developing a gambling addiction on early adulthood, eh? He's the more lowkey of the players at the table, because he didn't expect the tournament to be this... out-there. Probably the friendliest, but he has a habit of fumbling even good cards.

CORE!Frisk would be working as the host/bartender/card dealer, occassionally chipping into conversations, and overall just making sure everyone is playing nice, with a side of snark.

I'd imagine conversations would go for a variety of topics, from the mundane, to the out-there topics of the multiverse.

If I ever take this any further (and really, there's no guarantee I will) I'd make it a fairly long edited video with voice acting talking through the conversations, or something among those lines. I wouldn't make it a game, but I think it'd be fun as a concept.

As for the original grapple? I moved it over to Buzzriel, recolored it, and added the utility belt as seen in Toy Story 2.

Matt Renders

And finally... the goober. The little bastard.

Matt had the easiest renders I had to do. There were no hair variations and not many outfits I had to do.

I've said this for Skara and Viney but I've grown to appreciate Matt more through writing my fics. He is such a FUN character to write holy shit. I have a gustholomule side plot in my WAD Timeskip AU and it's so much fun to write Matt being such a awkward loser with Gus being absolutely obvious with the rest of the group secretly shipping it hardcore but not telling either they know what's up.

Also while I was trying to find images of him standing next to Gus for height purposes... I found out Matt is shorter then Gus which actually shocked me. Idk why I always thought Gus was shorter after his growthspurt lmao.

I have talked with friends about AUs similar to this and if OoT Gan woke up 10,000 years in the future and saw a tiny Gerudo queen and found out his people were thriving (despite him, even) he would probably just have a breakdown

I said I was going to sleep but ended up rereading posts from the au. What is the height situation in antivillain au? I am a tall goth truther but I can and I have adjusted to the tall blonde hc. One of my favorite blogs almost always makes Chloe have a growthspurt after or during her trauma. Also for mental reference how tall is Adrien and Marinette?

Ok so juleka is the tallest pf the class besides ivan.

She is like a head and a half taller of chloe

I would say that chloe is only slightly taller than mari, but like 2 or 3 cm while adrien is a taller than chloe but still half a head less tall than juleka.

But if you where to point it out to adrien that he is taller than chloe, he would be surprised because chloe as a presence of strenght and solidity to him since thier childhood and also chloe was taller when they were kids, so he is used to imagine her as a big as possible.

Meanwhile juleka know she is taller than chloe and tease her all the time about it

(The height would be: mari 150cm chloe:153cm adrien:170cm juleka: 179cm.)

I love all of your stories, but i’d probably have to go with one of the ones for the Krakeninnit au. Idk if it has a proper name, but the one where Tommy is just hanging out with Tubbo and he has to run off cause of a growthspurt and Tubbo runs after to comfort him. What do you think of the Growthspurt AU?

I think it's pretty good! If I remember correctly it's one of the earlier works to acknowledge Asriel's trauma. I also like how it didn't make Toriel immediately accepting or understanding of what Asriel did as Flowey—I mean that's just not her.

Although, I think Growthspurt's interpretation of Asriel and Chara's relationship might be a little off.

The more i think about Osk in the Osk au, the more i think the only way she finds out SPECIFIC specifics on how her family got fucked over is because Hermes exists.

Why do i think this?

Because, one, that motherfucker is a gossip. Two, can you imagine how jazzed he’d be to stir up some shit? Just to watch what would happen while he’s zipping in and out of contact with Charon.

Thirdly, however, Osk knows him as a trickster and god of secret things.

So she literally just plies him with nectar she finds until he’ll tell her whats going on with her family/what happened. Since she can’t exactly go get a lamb, anyway.

Which is fine when he’s giving non-answers like “Hel is in Helheim, as per usual.” or “Fenrir? Still in chains.” or “Wyrm boy’s still in the ocean.”

Where it gets Exciting is when he decides to tell her the Whole ordeal of exactly HOW the chains holding Loki were fashioned. And what happened to her brothers in that situation. And that its less that Loki is withstanding the pain for so long between earthquakes his actual breakdowns are that strong, and more that’s just how powerful a convultion the venom causes in the like two mins it takes Sigyn to empty the bowl of venom out/get back. And knowing Sigyn just... has to keep tending her husband, bound in the entrails of her son, until he breaks free at the literal end of time.

Like i want to stress that Osk was 100% sold the idea that Loki was being punished somewhere for a span. He did cause Baldur to die and possibly was why he couldn’t return. This she understands. Her dad’s kinda a dick if you’re not his kid. Even then, it depends. She assumed, like every other fuck up, Odin would kick his ass and be done-- or Loki would piss off Hel by stealing Baldur out of her realm. That said she also didn’t know Fenrir was how Tyr lost his arm, she just assumed he pissed someone off. She also wasn’t told where Fenrir was, between her stints in midgard. She only found out about broad strokes things because Thor, as he does, got drunk and laughed when she made a comment about speaking to Loki ‘when he returns’. And then didn’t shut up once he was asked, obviously, what was funny. Odin didn’t shut him up expressly because she’d find out eventually, and if her anger was more at Thor, he’d take it. This was when both her attempts to free Fenrir started, and about two months after Odin had talked to Zeus.

What i’m saying is Hermes drops a truth bomb on her and dips to go prepare popcorn for when the norse pantheon next want to check in on if Hades is actually keeping an eye on her.

I’m also saying that Achilles is 80% convinced Osk is going to try throwing down with Hades when she returns via the pool. The room is oddly silent when she asks, very tersely, if she could be allowed to waive the rules of hospitality next visit from the north. She’s denied, but only because he has no context and even if he DID have context its not his business.

Which changes when Zagreus unlocks Secret Bestie Lore on his new pal and she of all people breaks down sobbing on his shoulder in the lounge because she keeps thinking of her beloved brothers and her lonely sister. Sure she didn’t know Jormungander longer than a few years, but blood is blood. Fenrir and her were raised together, though him being older was fun if only because having a wolf taunt you over a growthspurt is annoying. She got on well with Hel, because few others could or would bother to try before she was sent to Niflheim. Osk just wasn’t cast away anywhere because she was half human and Freya felt she could be useful if kept watch on. Mostly because by the time a Valkyrie comes to check, Zagreus has had his bi little fingers all over her contract of service to edit it a bit. What surprises him is when he tells Persephone about it all--because sometimes you gotta vent to your mom about your friends problems--it makes it to Hades. Because Hades does actually value Osk’s work a lot. And he doesn’t have the stick up his ass about it like he does with Zag, so he actually bothers to commend her on it. She just was too stubborn to like... tell him directly why she wanted the hospitality rule waived. And you don’t fuck around with hospitality rules lightly, especially with other gods. But what you can do is very clearly, in all future correspondence, define your home as very specifically The House of Hades. Meaning anything outside of it is Hades’ realm, but hospitality only covers his house. 

Zagreus deadpans to Osk about Hades liking one of them, at least. Osk just snorts.
