if steve dies in vol 2 i literally do not think i’ll be able to watch the rest of the show. i don’t want to sound annoying bc i’m literally bawling over a fictional character rn but it’s just like. steve is such a great character and it’s been so heartwarming watching him grow into the person he is present day in the show. he went from hanging out w carol and tommy h, some of the biggest assholes in hawkins, to looking out for and loving a group of mismatched kids, going out of his way and putting himself at risk to protect and care for them. and not just the kids — for someone living in a small close-minded town in the 80s, the amount of love and support he has for robin is something i’ll always commend the show for doing bc it’s about time people realize that on-screen relationships between men and women don’t have to be exclusively sexual or romantic. steve is probably one of my favorite characters in tv history and although i had my guard up in regards to him during the earlier seasons of the show, the fact that he has flourished into this beloved, mother-hen, swoopy-haired and selfless individual is what makes his impending // potential death all the more hurtful. but what’s done is done and volume two has already been shot, edited and it’s waiting to be released. now all these death predictions could be way off and steve could be totally fine by the end of the season but things aren’t looking so good for him right now and honestly, although i’m very devastated rn — if the duffers have decided to bid him goodbye then i hope they’ll send him off with guns blazing, that it’ll be the most fcking amazing send off ive ever seen in my life bc god knows this guy deserves it bc he has made such an impact on so many people’s lives so the least they can do for him is honor him and his legacy.

Short Dramione fic review (and some spoilers too)

I was scrolling through my AO3 tab sorting Dramione fics created from 2011 to 2015, because I wanted to experience reading fresh-from-the-movies-release works.

Guess what, I came upon another lady_of_clunn work. I knew it was dark, but there weren't tags similar to the other work I had talked about (the 3sum), so I decided to read it.

The title of the story is Hostage of War. This was said to be written for Draco Big Bang 2010, so I guess it was just posted on AO3 year/s later (2012).

In this story, Hermione and Draco play as themselves ( bc the previous lady of clunn work I read had Hermione change identity). There's this contract between Dumbledore and Voldy, and they were exchanging their followers, or, forcing their followers to live together, rather.

It goes well, because ause H and D are in this rship with just the 2 of them. No third party whatsoever thanks god.

HOWEVER, lord have mercy, we get to a chapter where we see whom Hermione had a past relationship with, and it was fcking Severus. Fix it, Jesus. 😭😭😮‍💨😮‍💨💀💀 In this story, Snape is dead, but he has a portrait in the Malfoy manor, and Draco observed how Hermione talked with the portrait, and later on Hermione herself talked about her relationship with Snape.

There was also this part, which, I think, would be considered the darkest moment, where H was forced to dpthrt D in front of the Death Eaters and some members of the Order because H volunteered to receive/perform the "punishment" instead of Ginny. 🫠

This fic was a short read, with just 10 chapters, hence I binged in the late hours again before I went to sleep.

Ok, i need to say this because it has bothering for a while, and i feel like i will explode if i don't say it

Before anything, i'm not a Hnata fan, so i'm not defending her entirely, neither will praise her, so i don't recommend her fans reading this.

In this post i'm talking about haters of both characters, not fans who dislike these characters, don't confuse the two.

This is Sakura critical and Hnata kinda.

These people who hate Hnata and Sakura get on my nerves, the whole "i only hate them because they're badly written female characters" doesn't sit right with me either! Why don't you hate the entire female cast huh? They're pretty terrible too, some of them doesn't even have a writing to begin with, Naruto it's literally known as the anime with terrible girl characters, so what's the point? "Oh but they're the most relevant", yep Sakura is the main girl but Hnata? HER RELEVANCE IS THE SAME AS DOOR! She barely appears in that manga! There's other fem charas who are equally terrible written which appear way more, it doesn't make sense. ALL OF THEM, have some sort of sexism in their writing, Hnata and Sakura aren't the only fcking ones, so why focus only on them?

And S//S and N//H... god damn, these ships are trash to me, but IT'S NOT BECAUSE HNATA OR SAKURA! It's because is badly written, simple as that, but what these people do? BLAME ON HNATA AND SAKURA? The ship is canon because fcking Kishimoto wanted, not because Hnata and Sakura forced the boys to marry, holy sht, why they act as if the characters got out of the paper and beg in knees to Kishimoto made these ships canon? Blame fcking Kishimoto for the sake of God

These people are so worried about her sexist writing that forgot that someone wrote them! That forgot that they're like this for his fault! That forgot that his views are projected in these characters! If you think these characters and ships are trash BLAME ON HIM! Not the characters or the fandom, they didn't do anything, they didn't control the fcking story! But why isn't this energy into Kishimoto? Most of people who i see genunely getting mad at him, are the fans of these characters for him not writing them well, why don't the haters do the fcking same? Some criticize but it's not at the same level of how they despise the characters and never will be, they prefer to get mad at the fandom...

I don’t know WHAT IT IS but it wanted to continue??? and I briefly entertained that idea — linking this and the other genin era idea I had — but I quickly abandoned that, THANKFULLY. because I liked the idea genin era idea the way it was, but this did give some idea on how to go abt it so that was cool since I was stuck <3 and y’know this god took so much effort & struggle to write I was HELL NAH gonna continue it despite the temptation. but god… it was so difficult thinking of way to continue-end it. so much going back forth BUT EVENTUALLY REACHED AN ENDING AND SO HAPPY !!! I MADE IT !!! it’s really incredible because I didn’t think I’d make it….! I’m so so awesome <3 like??? there was even a random trouble with tenses in the end that I Don’t get, my brain suddenly wanting to witch to past tense??? and having to get past that block. but I MADE IT 🙌🙌 and so damn proud. deserve many stars for this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

—back on that short wip I tried to do as substitute for that first genin one…. I was gonna do smth with him saving sk or smth but the whole “body moving on own” not Them, y’know. it’s classic naruto&sasuke <3 and idk this fic just Wasn’t writing, so I moved back to the genin

—also lmao, sakura’s pov apparently really wanted to make an appearance and I Felt in my heart and so I couldn’t not do it. I don’t mind it. I LOVE IT, even. I feel like it’s gonna go soooo much smoothly. I at least started on it !! because I know if I don’t know, I’ll just Won’t ever becsude I lost the motivation/forgot what I was gonna go with it and then it’ll be years before I finish it, lmao. I didn’t really want to work on this tho, right that instant tho. also like. the wip is so Terrible. needs MUCH needed editing, lmao. but geninsk holds ALL MY HEART. god I don’t know what it is, but fckinb love her so much. she’s probs my fave sk.

—had time left of day and haku made me want to write touken so decided to work on touken stuff…! I was gonna try and write for this LOVELY idea she had, but lmao, it just wasn’t working. sadly 😔

—so I decided to work on that insane cancelled wip. I still can’t believe it exists. I wrote a bit!!! the time was going, lmao, since I got v distracted (because of haku…) but I wrote stuff !! which is cool. since I know what the au is about, there’s some moving to be done. also need to actually Think abt this fic’s plot. Since I don’t know abt it except angst + crack….my heart wants the angst…. wait, I really want to make this non-au, too. which means a lot needs to be shifted like stuff that doesn’t make sense but THE HEART WANTS IT WANTS <3
