I found something incredibly niche but super interesting to me. A little anecdote involving SJ and Hérault, in which Tallien (possibly?) is a fool, and all connected to Michel and Félix Lepeletier.

I don't want to be a tease, because the thing is really insignificant but it's so rare to learn new things, even new crumbs about SJ that I am all !!!

As announced in the previous post, here are the photos of the pamphlet of the film Danton (1921).

I found it on eBay about a year ago. I can't read Danish, but I got it because documents on this film are rare. (I used Google Translate to read the text, which was more about the historical Danton's life than about the film).

There are problems with historical accuracy (as I mentioned before), but I am fascinated by the dark romantic images in this film, influenced by German Expressionism.

Le Souras, Sète, Hérault. Autrefois, dans le charmant quartier sétois du Souras Bas, construit au sein d'une ancienne carrière tout près de la mer, se trouvaient des maisons de pêcheurs, un chantier naval, une station-service et un modeste immeuble. Hélas, à la fin des années 80, ce pittoresque coin fut rasé pour céder sa place à un complexe immobilier sans charme. Néanmoins, l'emblématique escalier de 80 marches, érigé au 19ème siècle, perdure, reliant toujours le Souras Bas au quartier Haut.
