I love the Light Grows Up In Wammy's House premises but I also think I love it in a very different way than most people do
Like I don't see it as a Childhood Friends/Rivals™ trope for Lawlight, I very much see it as Light growing up being told that there's someone better than him, someone he must not only surpass, but become—and I think he does the opposite of what BB does. He starts to hate L not because of anything L actually did (because they wouldn't have met) but because everyone keeps implying that L is better than him when Light KNOWS that he's the superior one. Beyond finds out that L is addicted to sweets and immediately changes his diet to include cakes and candies, while Light immediately wipes everything sweet from his mental list of desired foods.
He is perfectly polite, he's the baby of the group, and he can do no wrong in every other aspect of life except for the fact that he vehemently doesn't want to take L's place no matter how hard they push him. He wants to become his own sort of detective on his own merit, and he'll be damned if he has to use L's name while he does it. If he solves any cases it's anonymously, under a pseudonym.
And if he ever meets L, they won't be friends. But that vaguely disconcerting teen/man that sometimes sits in the corners of rooms and talks to no one is very interested in what Light has to say, no matter what it is, and seems to both enjoy it when Light talks shit about L and yet is still somehow annoyed by it. They get into heated arguments and he'll steal Light's things and pull his hair and mess up his clothes no matter how many times the caretakers chastise him for it (though even that happens surprisingly rarely). Light would stop talking to him entirely if he wasn't his only hope of getting out of Wammy's little genius factory both physically and mentally intact.
Light makes plans to run away and runs them by the broody teenager he's tolerated, who helps him pick out any holes in his plans, but somehow the staff always seem to catch Light before he can escape. It happens so often that Light even begins to think that someone's snitching on him, but he's only ever told one other person, and he wouldn't care enough to stop Light from leaving....
Would he?
Or, alternatively, Light never meets that stranger in the corner. Instead, Watari happily sternly informs him that L has personally selected Light to help him on cases. Isn't that great? Isn't it an honor? A and B are practically roiling with jealousy, Light should be grateful.
But Light is not grateful. He takes the news with a big ole fake smile, and silently plots L's mysterious disappearance before he's even come face to face with the man. He wants to make it on his own, he doesn't want to be reliant on L's name and Wammy's money and generosity forever, and he loathes the fact that he's been metaphorically chained to L's title in all the ways he didn't want to be.
A tiny Light, accompanying a teenage L places and becoming his face (both because L is petty and because he thinks its funny when police are introduced to a little kid as their Consulting Detective) around the world, all while they throw vicious barbs back and forth and spend quiet Christmases together and throw each other under the bus for fuckups and try foreign cuisines together and struggle to keep (L)/gain (Light) the power and ground they both don't even actually want.
L gives Light all the cases he doesn't want, like he's doing him a favor, and Light regularly calls A and B to smack talk L behind his back and turn the rest of his successors against him.
I can even imagine some amalgamation of both of these scenarios happening, or even eight more vaguely like them in the vein of L and Light being both completely antagonistic towards each other while also simultaneously growing so codependent that they can't stand not knowing what the other one is doing at any point in the day and also get absurdly jealous whenever anyone else even speaks to them.
Or EVEN a scenario where L doesn't pay attention to Light at all until he's grown and out in the world on his own. Light makes a quick name for himself, decidedly divorced from Wammy's influence, and eventually meets L on accident through a case L is working on, wherein L becomes intrigued with him and looks into his history only to find that he's a Wammy kid and L goes "Oh. You're one of mine."
To which Light takes decidedly poorly given that the claim both riles and razes Things™ in him because growing up with the vaguest desires to be like the man in front of you even though you loathe him and those desires were quickly squashed and never thought of willingly or voiced aloud leaves behind both the intense need to alienate yourself from said man entirely and to get close enough to become better than him for all to see and witness—only for Light to find that he can't alienate himself completely from L anymore because L decidedly won't let him and he can never quite seem to surpass him either because L is constantly nipping at his heels, echoing his thoughts with brilliant deductions of his own, and it turns out that trying to intellectually sprint past someone who only starts running when YOU do and has a distinct headstart is harder than it looks.

I swear I wrote this down before, but I cant find it in any of my notes so here's a little fun idea! When the world gets recreated so its no longer Arda Marred, I think the Valar got together and Looked at the Finwe problem and shrugged and decided to make all of Miriel and her descendants Maiar to slove that tricky little problem of Remarriage.
Because the Feanorians are now Maiar, they aren't technically born, meaning they aren't really siblings and part of the same family so there is no real issue in separating them now is there?
Miriel is one of Vaire's weavers of course, and Feanor is one of Aule's most talented smiths, but that is understandable as he is the spirit of Hearth Fire itself. There are others within Aule's Halls, but their knowledge of each other is passing, for Celebrimbor tends to stay with the jewelry makers and Curufin likes creating hunting gear for Orome's hunt
Orome is almost never seen without his most prized hunter, Celegorm, who prefers a form that looks more wolf than Elf.
Vana, Orome's wife, herself has a pair of giggling and twittering songbirds that follow her around as she follows her husband's Hunt. They dance and sing and twirl in sync that many often just call the pair of them by a singular name, Ambarussa.
Irmo within his forest full of Song and Music has a very talented Maia that is so in tune with thr Song that they can play with it however they choose. Maglor only uses this ability to give the Elves good dreams, of course.
Este is forever thankful of her assistant Caranthir, who keeps all her medical necessities and books in order, so she is always prepared to help those in need, even if he himself doesn't have the best beside manner.
Lady Nienna’s Maia, Maedhros is a bit more of a recluse. He is charming when spoken too, but there is something distant, some type of lingering melancholy that clings to him, like a weak dawn in the deepest days of winter. He tends to hide himself away in the forests surrounding Formenos, helping those who are lost find their way back home.
Then there are Finwe and his beautiful wife Indis, their children, and many grandchildren. They are a stunning example of a happy family, and all the citizens of Tirion love having them as their royal family. Nothing is ever wrong, even when Fingolfin’s daughter Aredhel got lost during a hunt, she was lucky enough to be escorted back to her worried brothers' camp.
Fingon, who had never felt the degree of terror that flooded his veins at the thought of his sister lost in the woods, terror that was much stronger than what was called for because what could befell her in their peaceful land of Valinor?
She was being ferried on the back of a behemoth of a horse, pristine and laughing at the antics of the silver wolf-like Maia walking at her side. The horse was being led by a silent Maia, who smiled softly at the pair but made no move to include himself.
Fingon looked up at the tall Maia, and felt something in his fea shatter. He always had felt like something was missing, that he would havr an urge to go looking for someone he could never find, catch himself looking up to share an idea with someone who must have been taller than him only to look up at empty air. His bed felt so cold, but no matter how high he tended the hearth flames he knew it was because it was empty. He would look to the distant mountains and see a dawn peaking over their tops and weep as something in his fea ached.
Everything felt so overwhelming when he looked at this Maia, this being that looked cold, who wore furs and had snow dusting his shoulders even though it was a warm sunny summer day. Fingon was so lost in the sensations swirling within him that he was too slow to act before the Maia helped Aredhel off his horse, swung up himself and was out of the clearing. That wolfish Maia giving his sister a laughing twirl before bounding off into the thicket, chasing after the distant horn call.
Fingon’s knees felt weak, he found himself sinking to the forest floor. This world may be Arda Remade, but he still felt Marred.

I am back once more! :D
Lunar and Earth finally talked, and by golly, it is everything and more!
Watching them both go through their issues together, and realize their flaws is kind of…therapeutic?
In a way???
There are also so many parallels!
Between Lunar and Earth, between Lunar and Eclipse(which made me go feral), even between Earth and the Creator in some way!
The thing that really got me is the realization, that Lunar and Earth are opposites in almost every way, and looking at things through this perspective is so interesting!
Earth feels as though her feelings have no value, as though they don't matter!
She always puts others before herself, even expressing guilt for her breakdown!
Lunar, on the other hand, has a habit of putting themself first.
That itself isn't a bad thing, of course, but they made it a habit to force their emotions onto others, to the point where the people around them felt the need to walk on eggshells!
Where Earth is very down to earth, Lunar is always in the clouds.
Where Lunar acts on impulse, both verbally and physically, Earth overthinks, to the point, that she forgets to act.
Even in their grief, they acted like polar opposites.
One shut down, while the other screamed and shouted!
I am such a freak when it comes to psychology, so this is just-
It's making me feral, it's turning me into a rabid animal-
Both reflect the places they come from as well.
Lunar is emotionally immature, due to the trauma they faced.
They feel as though they are stuck being the kid they were originally created to be, never having the chance to grow, before another thing was thrown at them, causing a hold in their worldview, if that makes sense!
They act out, and push their emotions on others, because Eclipse always disregarded them.
He never took their feelings seriously, and even now keeps teasing them for it.
So of course, they actively push them onto others, now that there are people who will listen!
Earth, on the other hand, was always created with a clear purpose.
She was made to be the caretaker.
She was made to be perfect.
From the moment she first opened her eyes, the expectations of perfection were put on her shoulders.
It's really interesting to think about.
The Creator had too many expectations, and his positive relationship to Earth gave her the need to fulfill those expectations.
Eclipse had no expectations.
He never gave Lunar an objective to live up to, and would push them down, everytime they tried to look for one.
The Creator, despite his good relationship to Earth, never cared for her.
He only kept her close, calling her his "dearest daughter" for his own benefit.
There was never an ounce of care for her, to the point, where he simply dropped the mask and insulted her.
Eclipse, despite his negative, and very unhealthy relationship to Lunar, did care for them in a strange way.
However, he kept pushing them away, because he didn't understand love and care, probably afraid of it.
He treated them like a tool and even took ownership of them by saying things like "you belong to me", because it was the only way to keep them close in his twisted mind.
Speaking of their "first person", both of them act different in that regard too!
Earth is nothing like her father.
Meanwhile, Lunar has been shown to share quite a few of traits with Eclipse.
Even in this video alone, there's the way they used to act in anger.
Like Eclipse, Lunar reacts with anger and violence, when something happens.
Both bite and show off their claws.
Ever since their death, they have been shown to act similar to Eclipse, though on a lesser scale!
It is making me so unwell, these two will be the death of me/pos-
Though as it has already been pointed out, they are changing.
They haven't acted like this in a while.
They have become rather self-aware and calm very suddenly, which confuses even Lunar themself!
Like Earth said, this could very well be due to their last emotional outbreak ending badly!
Their brain might just be shutting down, as a way to keep them safe!
I am definitely interested to see, where this goes-
One more thing to point out in all this, is Lunar's question!
"Why do things keep happening to us?"
I just find their opinions on the matter really Intriguing!
Earth knew from the beginning, she wasn't in control.
She is only in control of herself, but never the situation.
She doesn't try to be.
Lunar, on the other hand, feels a lack of control, both in their situation and in general, and desperately tries to keep a hold of it!
It reminds me of a orange and black animatronic-
Okay, I'll stop now-
ALSO, BOTH ADMITTING TO SEEING SOLAR AS A BROTHER FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!😭
BUT ONE WAS HELD BACK BY THEIR Trauma, AND THE OTHER WAS HELD BACK BY HER FEAR OF OVERSTEPPING BOUNDARIES-
-Stardust
STARDUST IM GNAWING ON YOU SO HARD OH MY GHODDDDDDD!!!!!! /POS
THE MESSAGES. THE THEMES. RHE OPPOSITES AND THE PARALLELS. AAUGGGHHHHH I DIDNT CONNECT SO MUCH OF THIS AT ALL HOLY SHIT.
I don't have productive thoughts I am just ABSORBING THIS SO HARD. Lunar who wanted to disconnect from Eclipse but adopted traits of him anyways, versus Earth who wanted to connect with the Creator as much as possible but ended up farther from him than ever.... MAN. AUGH. I can be normal about that (lie)
ALSO YEA OMG WHEN THEY WERE TALKING ABT THEY'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THEIR WHOLE..... EVERYTHING. I WAS LIKE. 👀 hey boy. awfully familiar words there HDJEHDJWHD
AND WITH SOLAR AUAHAVQHAGHHHH SONT EVEN WITH ME ILL BURST INTO TEARS ILL START CRYING RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW AAUAGGGHHHHHHH
