Zoro loves to make you laugh.

The very first time it startles him. No one usually laughs at his digs at Sanji (except maybe Luffy). But you try and fail to hide a snort behind a cough, and Zoro glances your way, eyes wide. When you realize you’ve been caught, red blooms across your cheeks and you smile sheepishly. He returns the expression, a slow-growing grin, with too many teeth.

From then on, as you grow closer, he finds himself trying to make you laugh more and more. Whether accidentally or on purpose.

During a briefing from Nami you’re tucked into Zoro’s side, his arm firmly pinning you against his bulk. He keeps muttering snide comments into your ear; coupled with his warm breath tickling your skin, you can’t help but giggle, again trying to hide it. Unsuccessfully. Nami glares at the two of you and Zoro just smirks back.

This compulsion of his doesn’t stop when your relationship turns intimate.

Zoro abruptly pulling you across the bed towards him, yanking a shriek of a laugh from you.

The silly noises that naturally happen when you’re both wet, moving together, the air humid with lust, causing you to cackle and him to snort at your reaction.

Tickling your sides just to feel you clench around him, nuzzling your neck as your protests taper off into breathless moans.

Zoro doesn’t think anyone has ever looked at him the way you do, half-lidded gaze and lopsided grin, like he’s worth more than his power to protect.
