Two interesting things about the milkshake scene:

I was reading the ST comics and in one of them, an older brother and sister are getting milkshakes and have nearly the exact lines Mike and El have. While the lines aren't anything special, I think it's strange that they directly borrowed dialogue from a scene of siblings bickering for a romantic couple:

The other thing is look at how unnaturally El's upturned hand is placed on the edge of her lap. Almost like she's waiting for Mike to hold it throughout the scene, but he doesn't:

ok but blatantly and inarguably a lot of "accepting" parents would rather their children be ~nonbinary~ and/or ~nontransitioning~ than binary transgender, and this doesnt devalue exorsexism (not only because it is another form of exorsexism) but because it is a fact
