once again screaming crying throwing up about the fact that infinity train was prematurely cancelled despite being contracted for 5 seasons.

#infinity train #like i really really want all 8 seasons. & i really really want present day!amelia and all that would come with that (e.g. hazel and grace) #but i feel like i would be so much more content with the show's cancellation if we had the bow on top of it all that was the amelia season #because she was the villain from s1 #the fallout of her villanry births the antagonists from s2. #she appears again in s3 having moved on slightly and changed her outlook. thereby creating a somewhat optimistic outlook on the end point of #her story #and s4 shows (in parts) her descent into villany. #she's been the main reocurring presence in the whole show and her train motivation (unbearable grief) and villain arc are the most #complex the show would've handled #i truly believe that if they had been allowed to make it it would have served as a perfect ending to the show #because she's been built up for so long and because the writers would've had so much material to work with AND detail to pay attention to #it wouldve been spectacular.... and everything they wanted to explore in later seasons wouldve been so good too #(older tulip and revenge and acceptance of something as complicated as alzheimer's disease) #(and i also think it wouldve been neat for them to show us a glimpse of 40 y/o rymin cuz those boys have major issues still when they get #off the train #and so id like a snapshot of them in the future that shows they worked things out) #yeah. justice 4 infinity train justice 4 amelia hughes. i want to fuck that 60y/o deeply evil woman so badly and i need her back in my life

In December of last year, @mabbees and I gave a talk at Nerd Nite Tokyo about a genre of games that have been called "desktop simulators" or "UI games"—essentially, a narrative fiction that takes place entirely within an interface, whether it be a smartphone, an old school Mac, or an imaginary interface in hypnospace.

We called these types of games "Interface Dramas," as in, "telling dramatic stories through the use of interfaces."

We think this should be its own defined genre and should be something games can be tagged as on Steam, just like "point-and-click adventure" games or "story-rich" games.

Check out the transcript of our talk—it goes over what interface dramas have in common with other adjacent genres such as interactive fiction, visual novels, simulation games, and alternate reality games, and what makes them different.

Thought it was not for me at first but after I watched the trailer i was rooting for these two bitches and had to watch it. Tw transphobia, physical abuse. Good story, wonderful characters 9/10

Q U E E R I N G (2018-)

Mom of a lesbian comes out as bisexual. Daughter not happy with it. Loads and loads of biphobia also from within the queer community. Not my personal favorite, especially bc of Harper I think. But kinda sweet seeing a woman in her mid fifties entering a new stage of her life. I mean… middle aged lesbians/bisexuals? Hell yeah! 6.5/10

Same Same (2016-2018)

Had trouble keeping up with who’s who and who’s dating who/who’s sleeping with who. Very fast cut which was a change up to the previous few shows. 7/10

"Her Story" project | Sketching the potential API

I was thinking about what the API could look like that I talked about in my previous post. Little research into API with JavaScript again (because I have forgotten it a bit) made me come up with this fake code for the API I might want to work towards - still unsure if creating a whole API is the best route to go but hey ho!

This code would represent somewhat what the API could do - simply logging the author's information into the console! I chose the amazing Ana María Matute as my example author in the code!

Below is what the JSON data will look like!

Still unsure if I want the whole birth and death dates there but the names and nationality are important as they will help with filters later on!

I'm still planning but this looks okay for me right now! 😉🙌🏾

Hiya! ����

Thank you so much! My goal is to provide a platform that celebrates and amplifies the voices of women writers, making it easier for everyone to discover and engage with their work. I appreciate your support!

However, the project is currently on-hold as I am trying to find a proper cloud-based database service that I can use with little money. I have come to either Google Cloud SQL or Amazon RDS to store the table's data remotely. Then again, I need to figure out how to use it 😅

Then I have to get to learning how to make an API from scratch. Since I want to use JavaScript, just to expand my knownlege on JavaScript even further, I would have to use a server-side JavaScript runtime environment like Node.js, which allows me to write server-side code using JavaScript.

Someone on here has also suggested I market/get traffic for this project so I will also have to plan how I can do that! Thinking maybe creating a mini webpage explaining what the project is, get help for filling out the datatable (really happy as there are a lot of women writers out there), might get help for setting up the official webiste of "Her Story".

Basically there's a lot to do, and I didn't expect it to be easy! Previous projects I have done have been fairly "easy" so I wanted a challenge and here it is! I want to take my time with this project, I don't want to mess up too many times on something like this - too precious to me!

Lol lmao, Redbubble automatically put my trans-inclusive womens history month designs into review

Yesterday I made a women's history month design collection that are trans and nonbinary inclusive, including their story, its story, xer story. I uploaded them to @redbubble this morning and they immediately went into review!

Perhaps it was the lone cuss in all the metadata in the "fuck terfs" tag because I didn't mark it adult content? No matter the reason, the whole collection is probably stuck in limbo until next week over some kind of automated pearl clutching. Maybe someone at @redbubble will see this and expedite? That'd be very cool of them.

Either way I uploaded the new stuff and my other pride stuff to @teepublic now and they don't seem quarantined there, so they are available on teepublic!
