If you feel "betrayed" by celebrities that you "trusted", then I implore you to recognize when you have a parasocial relationship. You do not know those people. They are not your friends. They have no idea you exist. That doesn't make them monsters, it's just the truth.

If you don't want to support Watcher anymore, even after their walk back, then don't. Unsubscribe and move on. Criticizing their (stupid) subscription announcement is completely fine. But, if you were heartbroken by their announcement, then it might be time to step away from Watcher and remind yourself that they are there to entertain you, that's all.
