If you ask a member of this generation two simple questions: "How do you want the world to be in fifty years?" and "What do you want your life to be like five years from now?" the answers are quite often preceded by "Provided there is still a world," and "Provided I am still alive." In George Wald's words, "what we are up against is a generation that is by no means sure that it has a future." For the future, as Spender puts it, is "like a time-bomb buried, but ticking away, in the present." To the often-heard question Who are they, this new generation? one is tempted to answer, Those who hear the ticking. And to the other question, Who are they who utterly deny them? the answer may well be, Those who do not know, or refuse to face, things as they really are.

I think that the funniest outcome of eng/esp communities mixing is Quackity's english friends coming to tell him insults in spanish with the biggest smile and Quackity sighing while turning around to scold his hispanic friends cause "no mames, teach them something to improve communication, "pendejo nalgon" it's useless, oh my god"

*Ruby seeing WBY+Jaune approaching* "Oh hey guys. Let me readjust my position on the floor so I can look tragically sexy for the perverted beta looking men on the writing team while I 0ff myself in front of you"
when the show infamously bad for handling suicide still manages to avoid the sexualization of suicide allegations in everything else wrong with those scenes, it might be that rwby just has a problem. or is just written by men with dicks for brains.
i have a lot of issues with hannah's suicide scene but what i will say is what we get when we focus on her character & not the shock factor, is haunting. hannah is broken, she has nothing left to keep her going & you see it in her eyes & even when she's committed the act, that haunting feeling sticks with you. you're watching a life being lost & you're desperate to save her.
also absolutely do not google this, they have graphic screencaps of the suicide method featuring blood in the first few images.
but then when we get to ruby's suicide, she's posed absolutely ridiculously & all we can think is why aren't her friends rushing to save her? there is a good amount of time between ruby making eye contact & then slowly sipping the drink: if you compare that to hannah's suicide, the frustration builds because hannah is alone. she is alone physically & she's alone emotionally, there is no one to save her in this moment. ruby had 4 people to save her or at least try.
this isn't heartbreaking or haunting, it's goofy. ruby looks stupid here & even more so when there's the sexualization angle of it because god forbid she exist as an emotionally broken teenager without the grown men behind the show ripping her outfit over her breasts & then having her pose basically in a sensual lounge.
booo, boo tomato, boo!

I imagine Claude having Alois since he is a baby and spending hours making faces and being so obsessed by the fact that children instinctively reproduce them.
