Happyhoganon: If Luthor and his Legion of Doom (Sinestro, Grodd, Black Manta, Cheetah & Joker) made it so that the universal dynamics of Good and Evil shifted in which Evil mostly wins now, how would the Justice League feel having to lose over and over again to the likes of the Legion? And for that matter, other villains too?
In that scenario, I would imagine that there would be a major casualty for the JL. I would think that in that case Superman would have to be killed, so that the JL truly would have no hope. But I feel the other JL members wouldn't go down without a fight. I'm sure Batman would be crushed emotionally and mentally that every strategy he devised against the Legion fail every time.

Had you heard about Johnny Peril? - Happyhoganon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This guy? I remember the New 52 version of him from Justice League Dark. I wonder does anyone really know the mystery that is Johnny Peril?
From Who's Who
"Little is known about the past life and roots of the men called Johnny Peril; it is speculated that even his name in an alias, assumed to thwart investigators into his past. Peril has refused to answer all such questions, leading some to wonder if he knows the answers himself."
I think Johnny Peril hasn't heard of Johnny Peril. He's a typical DC z-lister so I'm instantly going to dig him. He's the guy you call when Mark Merlin and Dr. Thirteen are both unavailable.

Happyhoganon: With humanized ponies drawings, what do you always expect to see from them?
I always expect Applejack to have a hat. Also sorry far taking so long to answer this. I had trouble answering because I like them to be different and unique so I couldn't think of something they should Always have. I love seeing at all the variety. But yeah i guess Applejack always needs a hat to be Appljack.

Happyhoganon: I saw some Zutara fanatic's post and now I have to ask…
Do you believe that phoebester (the ZK fanatic) is 'right' into thinking that if Bryke made Aang the sacrificial lamb for Zutara, it would have been a more "glorious, more epic ending"?
Could you give me a link to the post so I see what exactly it says?
Although, judging just by the word choice... YIKES.

Happyhoganon: How would you describe AtLA's lore?
Oh cool question. I'll try to keep it short and not to get too theoretical and spiral into a philosophic monologue.
I'd describe it as a missed opportunity.
Bryke claims to have a deep admiration for Eastern (Asian) cultures and traditions and philosophies.
And as I've mentioned before the concept of an Avatar comes from Hinduism while many themes of the show are rooted in buddhistic beliefs and Daoism.
I am by no means an expert regarding religions and their philosophies but I am South Asian and grew up with certain traditions and I do like to do research and educate myself.
I also think that creating a lore based on these three teachings is a great opportunity to create a wonderful, beautiful and complex world that could be a symbol and reflection of our own reality.
Bryke have created something very dear to me and many others. And the core themes of the show are things I whole heartedly agree with. However, reducing those to nothing for the benefit of one single character is just disrespectful. Making everything black and white is just proof that the philosophies were not understood, be it Hinduism, Buddhism or Daoism.
So yeah, the lore of ATLA is actually quite beautiful and complex and I always love to dive deep into it. But it's like the whole of it was just pushed aside for the benefit of certain characters and that's just lazy and aggravating - especially if the show was actually great at first.
Hopefully I could answer your question.

If Lois Lane was rebooted as a spy rather than a reporter back during DC's New 52 then what happens if she was that AND Clark became blogger like he was in the 2010's in this scenario? - Happyhoganon
I don't give a fuck about Lois Lane, she is just an annoying support character.

Happyhoganon: How would you describe AtLA's lore?
A description of the lore itself would be the way the core elements of our world (water, earth, fire and air) have been incorporated into a world that can showcase the immense power and potential a group of humans can have when they control that element.
I love that we see the way each element is designated a biome, a set of cultural values and beliefs, a way of life. And each is so different from the other. There’s even these intricate but meaningful difference within the same elemental group. Like the Northern Water Tribes customs vs the South. Or Kyoshi Island vs that one town that hates the Avatar.
Even in the people of each element there’s an emphasis on cultural values being diverse. The gaang’s different upbringings are evident in their personalities, the way they handle the scenarios they come across. How they react to conflict or relaxation or that feeling of anxiety when it’s just “too quiet”. Each character reacts differently and it’s so interesting to see and observe how the little core values they uphold can be derived from the morals of their culture. It’s so fascinating to take note of their differences.
But that’s just at the beginning. By the end of the show, there’s an immense amount of respect and a total shift in the viewers outlook. There is no separation of elements, just like there is no separation of people. We’re all just that, people. We can have differences but that doesn’t make someone wrong.
It doesn’t matter where you’re from, the true value of your character is your actions. Messages like these that are so universal and powerful are imbedded in the lore of ATLA and I think that’s a testament to the remarkable story that it is.

Happyhoganon: What pros and cons could there be if Superman and Captain Marvel hook up?
I have no idea... Pros maybe since he is already married to a Milatry Kid. I have no idea man.
You do mean Carol right and not Billy!!! Because if Billy... dude, that's messed up. Billy is a kid.

Happyhoganon: What pros and cons could there be if Superman and Captain Marvel hook up?
I really don't see it working out between Carol and Clark since she usually is work-focused. Plus, she does have a history of doing things that Superman would vocally object to (i.e., Civil War & Civil War II).

Happyhoganon: What are your thoughts on Hinata and Sakura?
I really like Sakura as a character and there was even a time in the plot that I thought she and Naruto should end up together. They had really good chemistry, and I get the sense that if it wasn’t a Japanese production, they would’ve ended up in a relationship. I think they had more chemistry in that The Last movie than Naruto and Hinata did.
Of course I think Naruto and Sasuke should’ve married in the end, because come on, but if it had to be straight, Naruto and Sakura would have had the healthiest and most believable marriage.
Sakura and Sasuke’s marriage is not healthy and honestly, Sasuke probably shouldn’t even be married or have a kid with all of his issues and inability to stay in the village for too long. Sakura deserves an actual partner in parenting. And honestly, the relationship never felt balanced.
I wish Hinata wasn’t such a stereotypical Japanese housewife. The fact that the moment she and Sakura got married and had children they basically stopped being Ninja was so typical of modern Japanese culture that it was just…ugh. I just don’t see the chemistry between her or Naruto. They were never even close friends even after knowing each other for so long. So their sudden romance felt forced. And the fact that Naruto fell for her because he saw into her thoughts and realized that she loved him feels sort of yuck and makes no sense? And it was funny how Sasuke was never in the same place as Naruto in that movie because Kishimoto probably knew that their chemistry would outshine anything the movie was trying to show between Naruto and Hinata.
Honestly in a perfect world, Naruto and Sasuke would be a couple, Hinata and Kiba would get hitched, and Sakura would end up with someone who valued her and lived in the village full time. But modern Japan is very conservative and heteronormative so we got this instead.

Happyhoganon: If Sharon had the Super Soldier Serum in her (along with other SHIELD agents) in modern times during the events of CA: The Winter Soldier, how good or bad could things get for everyone if that were to happen? Also could you tag my message, the first and the next, I sent so I can see them on the happyhoganon tag?
To be honest, I don't know. I don't know much about Sharon because I haven't read the comics.
Sharon's main actions in CAWS are when she bursts in when Fury is shot, and when she tries to stop Hydra from making the Helicarrier launch in response to Steve's call for action.
It might be fun to imagine that Sharon could chase after Bucky on the roof with Steve and maybe then they could catch him, but even if she had the serum, she'd still probably have to stay with Fury and protect him till help arrived.
With the fight against the STRIKE team before the Helicarrier's launched, the serum might have helped her be more aggressive and less cautious when Rumlow threatened her, but she wasn't the only one threatened. No matter how fast she moves there's a lot of other agents and casualties, so they might have been able to launch the Helicarriers anyway.
I'm trying to think, but I don't think there's any other action sequences she's in during the movie. To be honest, she does pretty well for herself without the serum.
Now if she had the serum in Civil War, then she probably would have been fighting with Steve in the airport, and that might have tipped the scales a little more, but in the end Team Cap did get what they wanted anyway. They Steve and Bucky to the plane to stop the Winter Soldiers and the others were captured. Sharon said her life was ruined by the Accords and that whole kerfuffle, so that wouldn't change much whether or not she had the serum.
