what in the house of sanity is happening.

1) Tony is not responsible for Wanda. She's an adult and she is responsible for HER SELF. Stop treating her like she's a baby who needs someone to cuddle her. But if we want to take a look on how he treated her sure... let's do it.

She didn't faced any consequences after Ultron. Who do you think made sure she wasn't arrested and imprisoned for the rest of her life? Pietro's Ghost? Tony took care of every avenger's reputation and payed for everyone. He let her stay in the compound AND when she was accused and people wanted to incriminate her he wanted her to stay safe in her house. Not a room with only a bed, a whole building with the man he loved. Just to protect her from hate.

But yeah, he's an horrible person.

2) HE WAS ABUSIVE TOWARDS PETER?

idk if I should laugh or not at this... he literally made Peter's life safer because if he never met him Peter would still wearing that unsafe pajama fighting the crime. Or maybe not, he would directly be dead.

If we want to blame tony for bringing a child during a fight, then we are all dumb. THAT-WAS-NEVER-MEANT-TO-BE-A-FIGHT.

Peter just had to web Team Cap to make sure they didn't escape (AND THEN BECOMING CRIMINALS Y'ALL, TONY WAS SAVING THEM), it's not tony's fault if Steve didn't changed his mind. Was it kinda irresponsible? yes. He is a bad model because he brought a kid to Germania? no. Peter was already a superhero, Tony didn't make him one. And Peter was excited to be there, so I don't really know what's y'all problem.

In homecoming was he distant? yes, but because he needed time to heal. at the same time, he was always looking after Peter and always helped him when he needed it the most. He just wanted Peter to be safe and to be just a friendly spiderman. Y'all wanted Peter to be like Raimi!Peter but when Tony also wanted that, you get angry. Ok.

I won't speak about infinity war and endgame because all he did during that movies was to care about Peter, protect him and save him from death. But yes, sure, he's abusive.

3) Harley.

Have we watched the movies or...

Let me start with saying Harley didn't need Tony like Peter needed him. Harley had a mother and a sister, what should have Tony done? Staying with him and leaving everything behind? let me remind you that he HAD to leave him, or, y'know, not a big deal, Aldrich would have won. Also, we're all forgetting how Tony payed for Harley's house and his little sister's watch. Yeah he didn't care about him either.

Second thing. Did you watch endgame funeral? Harley was invited. Pepper would never invite a kid tony met ten years earlier. they must stayed in contact during the time. But no, let's say he's a bad model because he didn't adopted a kid who he just met and who already had a mother and a sister.

Was the comment about being a pus*y kinda cruel? Yes. But it's a joke. J-O-K-E. And it doesn't look like Harley was crying because of this. Just because he made some jokes, he gets hate. Okay.

4) This one is the worst.

Y'know, I can almost see why you can say the first three things. Almost. Because you only saw what's bad about their relationships, okay.

But on this one I don't really understand.

Every interaction they had was showing how much tony cared for the kid. You're saying pepper had to take care of her, but we didn't even see a scene of them before the funeral. Tony was a Caring and lovely father, not like his own father. Morgan loved her dad, she didn't act like a kid around an absent father and I myself have an absent father since I was born and I never acted like that with him. He treated her like a princess, and he was ready to not help everyone because he didn't want to risk his daughter's life.

Fem!Peter Parker x Stark!Reader

Y/N POV:

A toaster. You were dumped for a toaster. That’s what you kept saying as you drank your coffee in the Moondance Diner. Your best friend Harley Keener was consoling you.

“I’m sorry you had to go thru that” Harley gave you a pat on the back, “but you’re a Stark! You can have any gal you want”

“I’d rather have a quality girl like-” you teared up a little just about to say her name. Harley hugs you tight.

“You gotta get back out there”

“I do?”

He reassures you, “yeah. In fact I dare you to ask out the next girl our age that you see.”

Was it some sort of fate, or divine conspiracy? Because it just happened that your best friend and fellow Avenger in training Petra Parker approached your table in her waitress outfit.

“Hey Harley, Stark, what can I order for you?” she gave you one of her thousand watt smile. The kind that always seemed to make a hard day training feel better. And then you blurted out something. Something you don’t know where it came from, it just spilled out.

“Will you marry me?”

Petra’s POV

She wasn’t supposed to be there for a shift at Moondance Diner. She was supposed to be out on a date with Laslo Allen. But he stood her up. Apparently he got too tired of her running late for dates, completely unaware that she was the Spectacular Spider Girl.

So with a broken heart, she accepted an extra shift at the diner. A bit of extra cash and something to distract her mind.

Luckily as she was in the middle of her shift, she saw you and Harley in one of the booths, sipping your coffees.

“I’ll take care of table five, Betty” Petra smiled at her coworker before heading to your table.

“Hey Harley. Stark, what can I get for you?” She flashed her smile at you.

“Will you marry me?” you asked her. Petra’s heart stopped and then fluttered. You were one of her best friends. Sure yeah you were the heir to the Stark family and a fellow teammate, but she always felt that she could talk with you, tell you whatever was bothering her. It felt real to be with you. There was already an intimacy there that she couldn’t have with anyone else. Petra couldn’t help but smile.

Y/N POV:

You were at a loss for words. Did you really just blurt out a proposal to your best friend?! The silence was deafening. Harley looked at you with a mix of shock and surprising support.

“I-I mean it doesn’t have to be like right now” you stuttered. You didn’t exactly inherit your father’s smooth talking ways. “It can be like a couple months or a year down the-”

“Yes” Petra whispered back. A small giggle escaped her lips, “yes! Yes!!”

She dropped her little notepad and pencil and jumped into your lap. How could something feel so right? Her arms were wrapped around your neck, her infectious laugh was so amazing. You held her tight.

And then she began kissing you. The sparks, the way her lips clicked perfectly against yours. You gently took a hold of her waist and held her tight in your lap, deepening the kiss.

Harley tore a napkin to pieces and threw it up like some sort of makeshift confetti. “Congrats!” he said, “I call dibs on being best man”

Petra’s POV:

She swung thru the city later that day, landing on the rooftop of her and May’s apartment. She was giddy and yet a little scared too. You and her were still seniors in high school and here she was having accepted a marriage proposal. Honestly it made her more giddy.

She crawled into the apartment thru the living room window and came face to face with Aunt May, Tony Stark, and you.

“I suppose congrats are in order” May said with her arms crossed.

“A marriage proposal? Really you two?” Tony asked.

“I’m not doing any better than her” you smiled at Petra, you walked over and took her hand. “she’s it, Dad. The most amazing girl in the whole world”

“But you’re in high school!” May countered.

“Aunt May, I didn’t say we were tying the knot today” Petra spoke up.

“But marriage that’s so reckless” Tony said but then he teared up. “Reckless? Without a care? I’m so proud of you, Y/N! You are my kid!”

Aunt May smacked Tony upside the head for that one. May approached her niece and Y/N. A small smile made its way across her aunt’s face.

“Promise you’ll finish high school?” May asked.

Petra couldn’t help but smile, “I’ll finish high school first.”

You take her hand gently, “And I’ll never leave your side”

Tony just gave a little approving smirk. He tossed a little ring over to the two of you. The one that he found you picking out after Petra went out on patrol. You slid the beautiful yet humble engagement ring on Petra’s waiting finger. She couldn’t help but cry tear of joy and kiss you again

You and Petra spent the rest of senior year studying for your exams, fighting crime and occasionally planning your nuptials. The girl who broke your heart faded in your mind, as much as Lazlo faded from Petra’s. The two of you spent time getting to know one another and grow together as best friends turned lovers. And of course, Tony was more than happy to flip the bill. Even bought you a property in Queens. A reflex he says, but he just wanted to make sure you and Petra were happy.

A funny way to tell your kids how you and Petra ended up marrying one another. But little Richard and May love hearing it. As for the Avenger side of things, the Spectacular Spider Girl and the Iron Knight still make quite an amazing team

writing harley keener: a synopsis

I’ve spent a (frankly embarrassing) amount of time writing this dumbass. so, in respect to this, I’ve broken down who he is and how that affects his characterization at different points in his life. enjoy.

HARLEY KEENER

age 1-7: don’t give him a pov. you’ll just make a fool of yourself.

age 7-11: snarky, cynical little shit who’s entirely unimpressed with the world around him (affectionate). he doesn’t know when to shut up, and will candidly inform you that his father doesn’t care about him. he insists he’s too old for stupid things like superheroes, but there’s a notebook under his bed with stickers and drawings of iron man. he eats an unhealthy amount of mac’n’cheese.

age 11-13: tony stark breaks into his garage, it becomes his personality for the next two years. he smiles a bit more, gets punched a little less. it’s the first time he’s seriously interested in mechanics. twelve different versions of potato guns are made.

age 13-15: boy has discovered redbull, and it’s done wonders for his adhd. the tony craze has worn off slightly, but not by much. the best term to describe this era is “smart idiot”. has a very strong obsession with nirvana. he builds a robot that flies, calls it anthony. maturity is at an all time low.

age 15-17: ✨depression✨ (cue dark, contemplative poetry about death and abandonment and angsty music playing in alleyways as he gets into more and more fights. his nose gets broken a record number of three times. he drinks and smokes and there’s scars up and down his arms. send help.)

age 17-21: he likes life more. not writing essays about death and darkness and despair. probably going to college, probably making his first real friends. learned how to play the guitar, regretted learning how to play the guitar. stops going to church. has a morally questionable amount of hair.

age 21 and beyond: he’s not okay all the time, but he’s over trying to be. sworn off alcohol, has a nicotine patch on the inside of his forearm. he has a comfortable amount of friends, and facetimes his sister on the weekends. wears stained tshirts and jeans and old hoodies. the new york times calls him the new tony stark, harley calls himself a mechanic.

in summary: he changes. shit happens. don’t make him sound like he’s 25 at age 12. if you don’t know if he would have said it, ask yourself if a young tony stark would have said it. you’re doing great.

Things about the Barton kids that I thought up:

Cooper Barton cannot aim for the life of him. (Potential joke: “Unfortunately, aim is not hereditary, as proven by Cooper Barton.”)

All of the Barton kids are varying degrees of HoH and D/deaf. It’s a hereditary trait. Clint thought he was going deaf because of the explosions he was around, but he didn’t realize he was wrong until Cooper failed a hearing test.

All of them consider Kate a sister, to the point that Nathaniel actually thinks she’s related to them.

Lila does not grow up to be another Hawkeye–she ends up trying to redeem her father’s name as Ronin (this is assuming Maya Lopez doesn’t wind up Ronin.)

It’s Nathaniel that winds up as the Hawkeye after Kate.

Cooper wants to be a cartoonist. Everytime he hears stories from his siblings and their friends about the fights they were in, he draws comics of them. (He occasionally does collaborations with Sloth Baby Studios.)

Cooper’s middle name is Barney. No one will explain why.

When Nathaniel eventually becomes fluent in ASL, D/deaf or not, he prefers to use sign language. (It’s a language you can speak silently and underwater, it is freaking awesome.)

Lila has monthly fencing sessions with Kate.

Laura Barton has had to call 911 for her kids so many times that she is now on a first name basis with all of the operators.

This is probably going to be another Harley Keener situation where Marvel forgets about them, but I just thought these might be fun ideas.

A lot of Tony Stark's villains seem to come from the gulf between what people want from him and what he actually gives them. Whether he was an ass about it or just a human person, they end up feeling wronged - robbed of something that was rightfully theirs. Fic where Harley Keener becomes a villain out of this resentment. His insecurities become the feeling that he was owed a father figure, and Tony left him behind with just some toys. Already started down this path of bitterness, everything gets worse when he learns of Peter Parker.
