kubosai where kuboyasu absolutely WORSHIPS his boyfriend like hes a god (in the way any extremely down bad boyfriend would, which is funny to saiki because its different than how other people in his life would see him as a god) and its so funny to the people around them at school and stuff because to them it just looks like this big handsome hunk and literally just SOME GUY
he carries him around, refers to him as his princess+his darling, kisses his hand, calls him perfect
he'll square up on anyone who even slightly annoys kusuo ☠️ (and hes good at knowing when hes just being a tsundere and when hes actually annoyed)
kusuo will ask him to do literally anything and he'll kiss his hand and say "anything for you"
once, a TEACHER yells something disapproving at kusuo and aren fully death glares the teacher and makes them fear for their LIFE
kusuo spoils his boyfriend back, of course, but its much less obvious in public because hes put so much effort into being less noticeable
so aren just looks to others like hes simping BAD for the most apathetic kid theyve ever seen

Consider, if you will, AU (either with canon post-s1 pre-s2 events but D.A.D.D.I.E.S. solves things before season 2 would start, or no Doodler/betrayal but Nicky still has to leave because FBI or other reasons) in which Terry Jr is the full time drama teacher for Teen High. Nicky returns from wherever he's been and is like "Well I want to be an active part of my kid's life and try and make up for lost time. I should go to his parents' evening, find out how he's doing in school, and meet his teachers. Especially this Mr Marlowe guy, Taylor seems to think he's awesome." And walking right into that classroom/hall to find his ex-boyfriend best friend sitting there in a dorky sweater and tie combo
Cue Terry, without missing a beat, greeting them as if nothing is wrong
Internal: when the FUCK did he come back and oh my god this is so awkward fuck I have to be professional how do I tell this guy that his kid is a loveable little shit after everything that's happened oh god oh fuck
Externally: "Hello Taylor and Mr Close-Foster-Freeman. I'm Taylor's drama teacher" *shakes hand* "Would you like to take a seat?"

Saw just enough of The Sound of Music tonight that I was reminded of Captain von Trapp mentioning that the most important thing in his house is discipline (or some such sentiment), and
because I have the brain rot
While I cannot conceivably find a way to make that specifically into an au, I was nonetheless charmed by the thought of disciplinarian and rule-abiding Lan Wangji vs sunny and energetic Wei Wuxian cheering up the juniors with a little music tell me you are not turned to mush by Wei Wuxian teaching juniors the equivalent of “my favorite things” I dare you
Anyway
All of this to say, a no-sunshot-campaign au where, for whatever reason, Wei Wuxian is invited as a guest lecturer at Cloud Recesses. There are several thousand rules that Wei Wuxian is ignoring at any given moment. Lan Wangji, who is in charge of discipline, is annoyed (intrigued). Tiny juniors are following their new teacher’s heels all around while he’s playing the dizi like a more adorable version of the pied piper (and perhaps Wei Wuxian warns them with a wink that he is Very Evil and he is going to Steal Them Away which is met with un-Lan-like giggling). The Elders have discussed sending him back to Lotus Pier but, unfortunately, he is a fantastic teacher.
There are also, of course, shenanigans. Night hunt field trips. Wei Wuxian inflicting his cooking upon the poor, innocent youths. Bad dreams on both sides leading to some broken curfews and soft music in the garden. Some conflicting curriculums - not “demonic cultivation” level, but there are a lot more disciples asking a lot more questions in their other lectures.
Lan Qiren is incensed.
Lan Xichen refuses to do anything about it (he is watching his brother watching Wei Wuxian and waiting).
Lan Wangji should be doing his job of disciplining but, you see, whenever he tries Wei Wuxian smiles at him or hands him a bunny or chatters about how well the Lanlings are doing or about an idea he has for a lesson, and what is he to do? Stop that from happening?? Remove the smile from this man’s face??? That would be a crime.
(Lan Qiren gets the abridged version of this sentiment, which amounts to “Wei Wuxian is good” and he despairs. He is fighting a losing battle to send the guest teacher home.)
(The losing battle becomes a lost battle when Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian play a duet for the juniors together and share a kiss as soon as the juniors are out of sight and off to their next lesson. Lan Xichen catches his brother pacing while on patrol that night, his face as forlorn as it ever is, and says “You know, we could… offer him a permanent place here?”)
Lan Wangji writes to Lotus Pier that Cloud Recesses will not be returning their head disciple. The entire sect hears the “WHAT” and “HE CAN’T STEAL MY BROTHER” echoing from Jiang Cheng’s general direction.

Hey though why did he do this. Why did he look at my pc first.
When will I be allowed to romance Sirris. When will my pc finally be able to hook up with her science teacher/best friend's father.

JK Rowling’s books are a building. And she stopped after creating shitty, waterlogged, deeply structurally unsound bluebrints and half the scaffolding. Then left it to the elements (aka her Twitter), damaging it nearly beyond repair.
And the fandom looked at this, and put on hard hats. And they tore down that scaffolding, and took those blueprints and changed it into something that would work, and they built the most beautiful building you’ve ever seen.
The building JK Rowling designed was deeply flawed, it would never pass inspection, it would collapse under its own weight and lack of structural integrity within seconds of being built. The aesthetic design was tragic and hideous and offensive. But the fans looked at all of that, and said to themselves, “this building is fucked up, it will never be good if left like this, and everything about it is terrible and makes zero sense. But goddamnit, I have trauma and I can fix it because it must be done and no one else will.”
JK Rowling may have designed that original building. She may have had the initial idea. She may have built that unfinished scaffolding. She may have drawn those blueprints.
But this building is no longer JK Rowling’s.

I am losing my mind. I had an ex-TC whom I used to talk to a lot because of my bad mental health at the time (basically what I did with C). He was always so gentle to me, always praised me. He left the school a month later, and I spent the entire summer grieving. We could have stayed in touch but it was too difficult.
Well I recently impulsively followed him on Instagram, and not only did he accept it, we texted a little. It feels crazy because three and a half years ago, I would have done anything to talk to him again but I just couldn't. It took me a long time to accept that our story was over. Those memories became hazy and felt unreal for so long, but now they're back. They were real. I am finally getting the closure that 15-year-old me needed so badly.

by far the worst encounter I had in college was a professor who told me that I should never use the word "interesting" because no one ever uses that word genuinely.
If you say that something is interesting, apparently, people will think you find it boring and are just trying to be nice. Now I don't know what to call interesting things I'm told about.
Fascinating is too strong, captivating is too descriptive, intriguing makes me sound like a detective in a film noir. My social anxiety really does not need to be anymore obsessed with word choice, and I hate him for saying that to me.

During their voyage in space, many dinaurians would spar each other to pass the time, and lots of tournaments were held to see who was the best among them. Megora Aptora was a sparring champion. Despite not being the nicest, he was greatly respected for his sheer power, winning pretty much every tournament he entered, and as such was pretty popular.
Aster bravely went up and asked Megora to mentor them, hoping that Megora could bestow some of his fighting skills onto them, allowing them to enter tournaments and compete for the respect of their people, as well as hopefully gaining a new friend in Megora.
Megora wasn't exactly thrilled by the idea of having anything to do with the child who had that traitor's blood.
