The Quincys Around Kids

Again, SUPER open to criticism, discussion, and additions. I love talking to people <3

Quilge: He hates them and he doesn't want to be around them, but he's not aggressive. Just stiff and uncomfortable. Like, maybe they bumble around and show him their toys and he just goes "Ohhhh, wow that's... that's greaaattttt." Honestly, he prefers teens. They can just mutually ignore each other.

Askin: Doesn't hate them, but also doesn't exactly "like" them. They're messy and loud and gross. He'll be a nice wine uncle though, bring them little gifts that their parents disapprove of like fake tattoos and clip-on piercings.

Mask De Masculine: He's the best possible Quincy you could ever leave your kid with. Mask can be gentle but he can just as easily be rough, depending on the kid. Wanna wrestle? Why not. He'll wrestle a three-year-old, but he'll have also have enough restraint to get on their level. Timid kid that just wants to draw? Heck yeah! He'll sit down at your Dora table and draw all day! Though... he might break the matching Dora chairs-

Nanana: Also a pretty chill dude to leave your kid with. He's probably going to sit back and just chill and play video games or board games with them. One of my headcanons is that he's a mathematician at heart because it just sounds awesome paired with his "Morphine Pattern" Grids. He'd be more than happy to help with math homework, whether it be addition, time, or (his favorite) graphing.

Uryu: He's awkward around kids. Like, he likes them, and he has a way with them. However, something about him just DRAWS kids towards him. Kids love this poor man, happy to play and draw and hang out with him, and he just stands there and lets them drag him away like "Uhhhh, okayyyy, where are we goinggg???" and then he's stuck playing barbies for three hours (he loves it)

Giselle: ... ... no.

Gremmy: He's being nice, but also the kids are terrified of him. If he finds a child that ISN'T afraid of him, they'll probably grab a huge box and play rocketship. Gremmy feels like a rocketship-player.

Äs Nödt: Horrendous with children. He's tried being timid, and proceeds to get walked on. He's tried being more intense, and proceeds to scare them. He can't really find a balance in interacting with kids so he simply... doesn't.

Jugram: Please don't leave your child with this man, he will show them around the Silbern and there are things in the Silbern that children should NOT be seeing. Like war things and his collection of knives (he's totally a knife collector)

Ryūken: We see how he is with Uryu. This man cares for almost nothing, he's dull and cold and doesn't really connect emotionally with ANYTHING

Bazz-B: One would think that because of his aggression and punk guy attitude that Bazz isn't good with kids, and they'd be wrong. He's awesome with kids. He'll take them on his motorcycle (he totally has a motorcycle and does donuts in Hueco Mundo), he'll get them some ice cream, and he'll buy them some Pokémon cards. They'll probably play Xbox all day, even if the kid can't figure out the controls

Bambietta: Might scare the kid even if she doesn't mean it, she's pretty intense and explosive, but with a kid that can match her energy? I can see her taking them outside and blowing things up with them, either literally or with little soldier toys, making mouth noises for the explosions

Yhwach: I mean... you COULD leave your child with this man. You shouldn't, but you COULD. Sure, they'd be alive and well and probably happy at the end of the day, since I can definitely see him being calm and level-headed and sweet with a child. But the kid might also have a new little baby Sternritter uniform

Robert Accutrone: He doesn't talk to the kid, since he doesn't know what to really say, however, he does make them pancakes and turn on Bluey or Steven Universe for them. Have a lazy day

Some Giselle Gewelle Headcanons

She doesn't define her sexuality. She doesn't really care and like what she likes. People can theorize that she's pan or bi but she just doesn't name it on her part.

She's a cat person. People would assume she's a dog person because dogs are shown to love unconditionally and people assume she would like dogs because she can order them around like zombies but she likes cats. In particularly, she's fond of taking care of strays. She likes watching them lay around her neighborhood and she sometimes lays with them and she's doesn't realize it yet but they have accepted her as a part of their cat colony. She's a weird looking cat to them but she's family. (this isn't to say she doesn't like dogs, she just likes cats more)

She's not a horror movie girl. She actually likes chick flicks like Legally Blonde and My Best Friend's Wedding. Watching movies like that is genuinely her escapism.

HOWEVER, she does like putting on horror movies to scare the other Bambies, Candice and Bambietta in particular.

She's a shopaholic.

She wants to learn how to make her own jewelry.

She hangs out with As Nodt at times but she mainly does the talking lol.

Bambies Headcanon:

Meninas may be emotionally void, but she can be pretty observant. And she’s noticed that ever since a recent fight of theirs, Bambietta has been in low spirits. She’s usually fine whenever they all get into an argument, so she’s confused that she’s so down. It was clear as day as she sat across from her during the most recent Sternritter meeting no matter how hard she tried to hide it. Did…did they actually hurt her feelings?

She goes into her room later on (they always barge into Bambi’s room, damn 😭) and sees Bambi sitting down brushing her hair. After taking in her demeanor, she gets the confirmation she needs. Bambi asks her if she’s there to give her more lashings and to do it tomorrow if she is as she’s not in the mood tonight. Meninas just walks over to her and asks for her hair brush; After a moment of silence Bambi gives it to her. Meninas then proceeds to brush Bambi’s hair in silence. This is her way of apologizing and Bambi (all the while shocked) appreciates it.

BLEACH: The Thousand Year Blood War Ep 17 Reactions and Thoughts

Overall reaction:

I must admit, I don't have much to say about this one. There were only three main events, and two of them I really liked.

Highlights:

Theory confirmed!: it was a theory everyone and their mother had, but it was still nice to get confirmation. So, Ichigo got glimpses of Reio's past, and more or less showed he has the power/ability to become the next Reio. Considering that the manga more or less skips over Ichigo's development after the attention turns back to the Soul Society, this additional content is welcomed for me. I looked forward to seeing what he'll have to do with Senjumaru (I assume they'll have a scene with the two of them). MY GIRL IS BACK: and she has some awesome gifs of her:

After so many years, seeing Momo for more then a minute was so great! And of course, she can LIFT! I'll admit, i laughed the first time I saw her pick up Shinji and carry him off, but now, I'm glad a fandom headcanon about her being hella strong got confirmed. Sajin vs Bambietta: talk about emotional! This was a fantastic adaption, and one that reminded me of what I came to really like about Sajin. Back when he fought Tosen, he looked down on his former friend seeking revenge for the sake of another. Tosen sought revenge against the Soul Society for not giving justice for his dead friend and letting the killer walk away unscathed. He transformed himself, both internally and then externally with his Ressureccion form, which was essentially a power up. In doing so, he gained sight for the first time in his life, and ended up calling Sajin 'ugly' because of his appearance; however, in his dying moments, wanted to see Hisagi's face, but was unable to do so. In the current fight, Sajin went through both the same and the opposite. He transformed into a human, but it was at the cost of handing his heart over to his Great Grandfather. He gained a power up that allowed him to defeat Bambietta, but as he was dying, he transformed back into a wolf, but into the form of an actual wolf. As he transforms and begins to lose himself, he reflects on how this is where revenge for Yamamoto has led him. Both men were out for revenge, and both gained something and lost something in return. For Tosen, he gained sight and immense power, but lost his life in the end because of Aizen, the man he chose to follow to complete his revenge quest. For Sajin, he gained immense power and stayed alive, but he lost his humanoid and beast man forms, unable to ever raise a sword or fight for the Soul Society ever again. He still has Iba, who as we saw is loyal to him through and through, but they can no longer fight together as equals. If I'm also not mistaken, I think it was said Sajin eventually loses his memories of being a Shinigami and currently lives in the woods? Correct me if I'm wrong. Gotta admit though, for all of the emotions this fight gives, I still can't ever how he looks as a human:

What a badass design! Overall, another adaption done right, and another character we have to say goodbye to. Seeing this actually makes me wonder if this was why Rindo Atau was picked to be Seventh Division's next lieutenant. With affinity towards animals, maybe he's able to summon Sajin to the Seventh Division?

So next episode, we have the, uh...beating fight of Rose and Knsei vs Mask de Mascuile. If nothing else, at least we'll get to see Rose's bankai animated, and hopefully they'll include some extra moments of these two at least showing off a little.

THE ARTIFAKTORIUM .

Warinot's domain is a building known as " the artifaktorium. " it serves as both laboratory and workshop , as whell as were wandenreich quartermasters , engineers , scientists & blacksmiths , etc. all usually reside & work . there is plenty of space for various tests and creative builds of weaponry , quincy magick & warfare , the ceilings extremely high , and with many specified areas for any sort of testing one could think of . it is well-stocked with supplies for crafting all sorts of things .

the artifaktorium matches the gothic style of architecture that the quincy are known for utilizing . it is a strange mix of more medieval , victorian & modern visual design , with slight hints of steampunk & gaslamp elements . its living quarters , while quite barren compared to the lavish rooms of silbern , are servicable to those working long hours who merely desire a meal & some rest , before returning to work . it is a place for toil , not for relaxation .

some of the staff members, however, are not living beings. some of them are robot workers , the results of Warinot's foray into robotic designs . these artificial workers come in all shapes and sizes ; not all of them resemble humans , some look more like humanoid creatures ( direct design to be decided on , just imagine a lot of chibi BG9s running around , mmkay ? ) . there are plenty of living , human staff , however .

as stated in an earlier headcanon , I wanted to flesh out the Wandenreich empire , so I think it's believable that their entire army has a place where they get their weaponry & technology . the artifaktorium has existed sometime after the fall of lichtreich , when Warinot himself was once a Sternritter , so it has been around for centuries . however , to the enemy factions , its entire existence is a secret . that being said , it is possible to be captured & brought to it , for plot purposes . and , in terms of its existence within the schattenbeireich , the artifaktorium obviously is squarely within the shadowy confines of the SRDI headquarters , and could be seen as its interdimensional counterpart .

other points of interest :

BG9 was created here .

there is plenty of space of testing Schrifts , including something as desctructive as Bambietta's , with permameters to be as descrutive as one could want .

mock hollows & shinigamis are created within , for training purposes , and are incredibly lifelike .

there is also an astronomer's quarters , however , within the schattenbeireich , it looks at an artifical night sky .

interdimensional portals exist here en masse , for the purpose of porting giant machines to and from the other realms .

inter-realm travel was also a key point in warinot's research , and he was one of the first quincy to ever discover its usage could be harnessed .

To give an enhanced visual rendition of Bambietta's uniform changes over the last post on the matter:

Left - Wandenreich (Unk.–June 2003): Bambietta's stock Wandenreich uniform in manga colors (chapter 640 color spread).

Center - Post-War (July 2003–2012): Bambietta gradually modified her uniform's appearance, first by removing Wandenreich insignia, then by introducing elements like thigh-high stockings and spats (compression shorts).

Right - Bundesrepublik (2013–Present): Bambietta adopted an equivalently-cut uniform in radically altered colors to signify a complete break from Wandenreich, complete with new insignia of the Bundesrepublik Quincy.

The main differences between this Bundesrepublik uniform and the last post's are a white belt rather than black, and black piping rather than blue on the traditional Quincy shirt collar. I'll update the older design to reflect these in the near future.

The Sternritter Kitchen

The thing that has been in my brain for a while

Quilge - He doesn't like bringing drinks to his room because he has a paranoid fear of spilling, so you can see him hanging out for like 2 hours in the morning while he drinks his coffee. Probably sitting cross-legged at the table

Askin - He also sits around while he drinks his coffee, except the coffee is an excuse to sit around and listen to all the gossip and drama. Also he has, like, 2 cups a day, one in morning and the other in the afternoon. If you catch him cooking anything, stick around, it's gonna be bougie and its gonna have some kind of cheese sauce

Mask - He pops in to make himself a sandwich then fucks back off to his personal gym (or the Sternritter theater) to watch movies and hang out with James. The big boy does interact with the other Sternritters, and he does appreciate their company, but James is his number 1 priority. ...unless there's a fight going on, then he's gonna stay and watch

Nanana - This man savors his food and refuses to take it into his room, so he will very much be sitting around relaxing during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sure, he's into the gossip, but he moreso loves the SMELL of the kitchen. Especially when Askin is cooking

Uryu - ... there's a kitchen?

Giselle - As previously mentioned, she likes to sit in the kitchen and threaten people with her Funko Pops, however she will also pretend that the Funko Pops are the ones cooking if she decides to make anything and will, in fact, blame them if it doesn't come out great. She's a surprisingly good baker and likes making grape-flavored things

Meninas - Why would she waste her time with the kitchen when she can be off petting the Sternritter cats or dunking on people in CoD?

Liltotto - Leans on the wall in the hall just outside of the kitchen to catch the gossip as it leaves. If Askin is cooking, he'll sometimes just kinda- hold the spoon in the air beside himself and wait for her mouth to come stretchin in to taste what he's making, at which point you'll hear, from just outside the kitchen "tastes nice. needs more pepper-"

Gremmy - Banned from the kitchen because he tried being "creative" and made mustard gas

Äs Nödt - Slips out of his room solely for Askin's cooking (or sometimes to steal sandwich ingredients from Mask) like a little mouse, then promptly goes back to his room

Jugram - Though it was his money that decorated and remodeled the kitchen in the first place, he is banned from it because he "ruins the vibe" as Quilge and Bazz-B put it

Ryūken - ... there's a kitchen? Pt. 2

Bazz-B - He makes Oatmeal Raisin cookies and they are the only good Oatmeal Raisin cookies in the world. Other than that? He's probably eating someone else's leftovers, especially if he knows that they were looking forward to said leftovers

Bambietta - Is the reason that the kitchen had to be remodeled. Isn't banned because she's the one who cooks when Askin doesn't feel like it. If something she's making has chicken in it? You BEST BELIEVE it's gonna be bangin. And Mask and James are first in line at her BBQs

Yhwach - Banned from the kitchen for ruining the vibe. Before he was banned, he hyped everyone up for his "famous lasagna recipe" and it was the worst lasagna the kitchen has ever seen. Being forced to eat it just to make him happy was an unpleasant experience and the whole ordeal is probably the REAL reason he was banned

Robert Accutrone - He is the reason there is a whole cabinet JUST for cereal. Rob is a cereal fiend, if he can get his hands on it, it's gone. Especially if it's somethin fruity like Froot Loops, Apple Jacks, etc.

BG9 - Doesn't eat. Doesn't need to be in the kitchen. Visits once every few days to listen in on the new drama. There is a picture somewhere in the kitchen of him making breakfast for everyone with a whisk taped to one of his wrists for "maximum efficiency" (he makes amazing omelets)

Cang Du - He doesn't care who's cooking, it's all the same to him, he's gonna swoop in to steal a plate and then go back to the definitely serious business he was doing no matter what it is, who made it, or what time of day it is. The only time he didn't steal a plate of something was during the "Yhwach's Lasagna" fiasco and everyone has been accusing him of being a double-agent ever since because HOW DID HE KNOW?! (because he could smell its failure from a mile away)

Cang Du Backstory, Goals & Some Headcanons

( Some thoughts of the man of iron. So sad that he had a short appearance. He, and other Quincies DESERVE some backstory like how Kubo did to the Arrancars and the beloved Shinigami )

BACKSTORY

- Cang Du is actually in his mid 20s’ and was born and reside in the Monolith village. The village itself was one of the most isolated ones in China. 

- He is actually well versed with ancient relics and scrolls.

- Will probably ended up as an archeologist if he was born under normal circumstances.

- He is actually a prodigy for his age but retained his down to earth nature due to his realism view.

- As a child, he was always a quiet boy. He learnt some basic martial arts from his relative ( probably Uncle), so his introvert nature won’t attract any annoying pests or potential bullies. He prefers to be in his own thoughts than being surrounded by people. He enjoyed taking a stroll by the forest to breathe the fresh air and the soothing silence.

- He either being with his parents, single parent or single relative.

- He actually grad with DEANS LIST for the said archeologist course. Masters with full scholarship as he is a very self sufficient man.

- He mostly spent time alone or doing odd jobs like working as a librarian or a bodyguard at any random warehouse for some free time and some extra cash. Trust me, like no one had a clue regarding him. He just do his job and behave in exchange to be left alone.

- His family was basically a traditional one in a good way as Cang Du seemed to disagree with the polygamy of the Emperor in the past.

- His family probably left the world when he is around late teens, making the poor man more lonely as by then, he adopted a nomadic lifestyle.

GOALS

- Cang Du actually discovered his powers when he was around 5 but he kept it a secret from his family to prevent them from being concerned.

- He knew despite loving his powers, the society considered it as some kind of mutation so he self taught on how to manage and control his power.

- He learnt some history regarding Quincies from one of the scrolls and learnt that his late grandfather from his mother side is a Quincy himself.

- He enjoyed being in solitude but a small part of him felt lonely, unwelcomed in the human world.

- When one of the Quincies ( Probably Gerard or Lille ), approached him and offer a place in one of the elite forces, Cang Du quickly jumped in, felt relief that he had a purpose regarding his origins.

- He did not mind it being fascist and militaristic. He is an unapproachable and silent guy so it did not effect him one bit. He just steer clear of any issue, do his job and he can do whatever he want.

- Like most Sternritters, he too have a mind of his own. However, one of the main reasons he respected Yhwach was due to the latter gave him a purpose over a lonely life.

HEADCANONS

- I always see him as a male version of Annie Leonhardt from SNK/ AOT.

- He is actually a naturally handsome guy so believe me when I say many women actually fawn over him but he remained oblivious to it.

- If Cang Du is a normal soldier, Bambietta probably would hit on him but she knew any feud with other Sternritter is punishable by death. 

- In his university days, some women left him some letters but he either side read them or did not bother by it and left it under spider web lockers.

- Candice actually tried to strike a conversation in attempt to try to decently know him, but Cang Du usually respond with one/ two words or with gestures before it ended in uncomfortable silence. Candice usually sweat dropped as Cang Du walked away from the place.

- Bazz B tried to strike conversation with him but like Candice, he either gave a few words of responds or gestures. He also gave a look as a sign to stop. Bazz B also tried to ask him for drinks and teased him as some women find him attractive but he hardly took note of those.

- Was probably in cordial terms with others like Gremmy and As Nodt.

- Cang Du is a virgin 150%. He was one of those man who hardly give a thought and just steer clear from human contact. He probably doesn’t know what sex is so when at rare time where he needed to relief himself, he do it very briefly and quietly as he often felt awkward.

- Mask De Maculine and Askin are two eccentric goodies but he was just on good terms with both of them.

- If some women or waiter try to make a move, he swiftly move away or politely state his disinterest with being in a relationship. I do see it sometimes happen and that’s why Bazz B make fun of him.
