Eye contact is a dangerous, dangerous thing. But lovely. God, so lovely.

I feel your beauty, but I don't see it.
I see you in the form of words.
Your lips as heartbreak.
Your eyes as hope.
Your body is poetry that I have yet to understand.
I want to touch it like I want to touch fire just to feel the burn.
I hear your heartbeats like music.
You are the art that changed my chemistry.
You turned me into an artist.

and once again
i regret it
giving love a chance
and trusting
it turns out
you can break the broken

i thought i wanted to be happy
so i chased happiness
i didn't realize there is happiness
in the middle of chaos
happy times in abuse
happy moments in toxic cycles
what i was really looking for was peace
and that is hard to fool
it is rare and clear
not close to any other feeling
it is the soul of emotions

he was simply dark, mysterious, and deep
beautifully messed up and damaged
but so captivating
god, so haunting

I wish I knew how to keep you in my life.
I wish I had a way out.
Can't love you as I crave.
Can't touch you as I desire.
Friendship never sounded so scary.
Distance never felt so cruel.
I will forever feel your soul.
And your breath until my very last one.

Happiness is so simple.
Letting go of your past.
Not worrying about your future.
Being in the present.
Simple but not easy.

I do not deny the power of beauty, but it is absolutely nothing compared to the power of words.

when the sense of loneliness passes
through my soul
I fill the emptiness with anything
that's cruel to my body

You can't blame people for finding beauty in death.
It doesn't mean they want to die.
It just means they know death is the only reality.

If they only know what it means to be different from the rest.
Or maybe they do; who am I to confess?
Just another naked soul, wanting to be dressed.

you have to understand
if someone loves you
and they can't find a way to you
they will make one

Some pain is bearable and physical.
Some are mental, and it might be harder to heal from them.
But there are some moments that you feel the pain to your core.
You almost feel your heartbreak.
Like the moment you read the last text from someone who passed away and realize you have to delete their number.
Or when you delete a city from your world clock on your phone because you don't have to know what time it is there anymore.
Or the moment you realize 20 years from now, you are going to be a stranger to the person you love the most right now.
Or when you see a happy photo of yourself and remember who made you happy at that moment, and they no longer care if you cry or smile.
In those moments, feel the pain.
It will pass, but just for a second, you will taste pure darkness.
But it will always pass.

I love how you used to translate
old foreign poetry to me late at night
Our deep and meaningless conversations
until the sunrise
Dreaming of museum dates
and visiting forbidden cities
Smoking while looking at the moon
from different windows
Wishing for more when we already had everything
I just miss the days
where I didn't realize how happy I was

I can’t explain it
I wish I could, but I can’t
I don’t know how I can explain he is a stranger
and closer to me than everyone in my life
I don’t know why I can be my authentic self with him
and rediscover who I am
I don’t know why I can’t wait to tell him my secrets and dreams
I especially don’t know how a stranger makes me feel
like I’m a stranger to my life
I don’t know how to explain it
I don’t know how to explain him
