modern au hel trio but they all dress expensively by virtue of being associated with hel .. i hc both líf and thrasir dress pretty modestly in that they show so little of their skin (for different reasons) and the concept of people poking them abt why is funny to me LMAO líf who covers up to hide scars & prosthetics vs thrasir who covers up because.. she gets sunburnt rly easily, has skin like paper and gets hella rashes from dust allergy
somebody: why do you never show skin in your outfits
thrasir: ….. I have no skin.
eir, translating hurriedly: she is .. sensitive …..

I was rereading from eden and I love (read as: invested in) all the background ships like impulse's polycule (good for him) and scarian and I'm just amused by the wave of domesticity that fell over grian to curb the bloodlust of the life series and like all I can see is scar being insufferable (affectionate)
It's that landlord "no pets allowed" "ill make an exception because he looks very polite" meme except it's grian and life series emotional attachments.
The background scarian in this is precious to me *cue grian flying scar into battle* (is soft)
ohh i am SO glad to hear that. ‘from eden’ doesn’t always allow me to spend time focusing on the background ships, but i love them just as much. the next chapter should help that a bit ;0
also, fun fact, mumscarian is absolutely a thing in this verse but since mumbo wasn’t in double life, we’ve just got the scarian. when this whole ordeal is over, mumbo is gonna have two very exhausted boyfriends to contend with back on hermitcraft.

I think they should add a birthday feature to FEH. I don't think this would really improve anything or change much but I do think it would be fun. MAYBE... it could be a relatively non-intrusive thing they could add to Aether Resort. Just like a little notification if you happen to go to the resort on a chara's bday (exactly like Fates actually!) And if you have random slots on your resort maybe that chara shows up.

"The triplets bonding in the future"
Tumblr media
Look at them all grown up and talking about life! Like their partners.. Ohhh juicy beefing is going down!! 👀✨
For context, Jorm became Royalty through his marriage with the Chinese dragon family of the east~!
And Hel is teasing him for it, considering she's already a royal and her wife The Morrigan also became royalty through their marriage. Meanwhile fenrir is just happy to have a beautiful and attractive wife 🤭✨

Zuko x reader - the right side
Tumblr media
Hi! I just recently discovered your blog and I’ve been loving your writing so much! I would like to request a part two to your Zuko x Reader - The Right Side. It’s so well done and I’m curious to see what happens after Zuko and the reader reconnect :) - Anon💜
Part two:
He slowly stood up and stepped out from the group, he looked at you, and you stared at him intently. It made him shiver the way you looked at him.
Your gaze was so full of fury, hatred, sadness, betrayal.
So many things Zuko thought he would never see in your eyes again, he never thought it would ever be directed at him.
“Why are you here?” You spat.
“I’m here to help, I swear. I want to teach Aang Fire bending.” He said
You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest as you carried on gazing at him.
Zuko gulped a little as he dared to take a small step forward, and then another.
He kept going until you kicked your leg out, sending a line of fire directly in his path which he barely managed to dodge.
“(Y/N) don’t!” Aang rushed out.
You turned to Aang, frowning heavily but you lowered your hands and took a few steps towards the avatar.
You were furious with Zuko, and they all knew it.
“Go calm down.” Katara whispered.
“Come on, I’ll come with you.” Toph said.
She led you a way from everyone and Zuko watched in sadness as you left.
“She hates me…” he mumbled.
“She doesn’t hate you, she just needs time, that’s all.” Katara smiled.
“Yeah, (Y/N) can’t hate anyone, trust me!” Aang beamed.
Zuko looked over at them then turned to Sokka who gave a small shrug.
“I’ll be honest, she could hate you. You nearly killed her, betrayed her and just left her. She’s pretty mad man.”
“Sokka!” Katara hissed.
“No, no. I need to hear the truth.” Zuko said softly.
Zuko left, and for the rest of the night no one saw him, or you or Toph.
The earth bender came back before you, saying that you decided to head back to your room last night and she decided to go to bed, but she hadn’t heard from you since then.
Everything went to hell pretty quickly, from the killer Zuko hired showing up, and Azula appearing out of nowhere you guys had to fight for your lives to get out.
And you decided to sit up with Aang away from the fire Prince.
“Just talk to him.” Aang spoke softly.
“Not a chance.”
“(Y/N) he’s really trying. He feels bad for what he did and he wants to apologise, the first step to moving forward is to forgive.”
“I love you Aang, but you’re to oblivious to how to world works. It’s all good and well to pretend everything can be fixed with a simply apology but it can’t.”
Aang sighed, turning to look at you.
“You’re right, it can’t. But it’s a start, right? It will be great to be able to take some of that weight from your shoulders and throw it away. No one says you have to talk to him after that, you just have to hear him out.”
“I’m sorry Aang, but no.”
Even as you guys landed, he tried to keep convincing you to talk to Zuko, but you weren’t having it.
Sokka and Toph had asked asked you to just listen to what Zuko had to say, though Toph’s only reason was so she didn’t have to hear him complaining about it anymore.
Katara came over and sat next to you on the rock you had perched yourself on.
“If you’re here to tell me to forgive Zuko don’t bother.”
“I’m not.”
You turned to her slightly shocked.
“I understand why you’re angry, why you don’t want to talk to him or forgive him. You don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with.”
“Thanks Katara.” You smiled.
She nodded and left, and you carried on looking out over the horizon.
Someone else sat next to you and immediately you stood up and started to walk away.
“Please! I’ll do anything! Just let me explain!” He begged.
“You want me to listen to you? Fine. I challenge you to an Agni kai.” You snapped.
“No!” Aang yelled.
The trio rushed over, trying to stop what was about to happen.
“If that’s what you want then okay. I accept.” Zuko nodded.
No one could stop this, they knew the rules, they couldn’t stop it, they couldn’t help either of you, they just had to watch it play out.
And they knew there was only so many outcomes.
Either you hurt Zuko bad enough for him to feel your pain, or you would be so blinded but your anger for him you would try your best to kill him.
You and Zuko stood opposite each other, and you stripped yourself of Iroh’s cloak before handing it to Katara to look after.
“Please go easy.” She whispered.
Saying nothing, you stepped back in front of Zuko, and he just stared at you.
You threw the first attack, pushing your hands forward to create a massive surge of flames straight at the Prince.
He easily deflected your attack, and carried on standing there, so you attacked again.
Kicking your leg in the air you sent attack after attack after attack.
All of which he deflected.
“Fight me you coward!” You yelled.
“No.”
You yelled and ran over to him, attempting to punch him but he dodged it, and so you tried to knock his legs from under him, but he dodged that as well.
“Fight me!”
“No! I won’t hurt you!” He yelled.
Zuko breathed heavily as he dodged your attacks.
Usually you were so well coordinated, you thought your attacks out carefully that you were able to knock him down easily.
But this time you were so blinded by your emotions that you were just attacking blindly, you were messy and desperate.
“Why won’t you fight me!?”
“Because I refuse to hurt you!”
Zuko grabbed your arm as you lunged at him, spinning you around so you were behind him and let go.
You stumbled a few steps and turned around.
You were heaving for air, hands on your knees as your eyes locked with his.
“Why not? You already have, May as well finish the job right?” You sneered.
“N..no.. no that’s not what I want…”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes as you turned around and started to walk away.
“Fine.”
Zuko sighed with relief, as did everyone else.
The battle was over, Zuko never once threw an attack, and you had finally called it off as you started to walk away.
In a split second, you spun around, kicking your leg up in the air, you sent a rope of fire at Zuko.
He barely managed to dodge it thanks to everyone calling his name, and he fell to the floor.
Running over, you took a deep breath and stared down at him as you stood above him.
Slowly you raised your hand towards the sky, crackling sounding at the tips of your fingers, and blue lightening started to build up.
“(Y/N) NO!” Sokka yelled.
“DONT!” Aang and Katara begged.
Toph tried to put up a wall between you and the Prince but she couldn’t, you were stood right over him, and she couldn’t put the earth between you both.
Zuko looked between you and the lightening in pure horror.
For you to do this it meant that you were sound of mind, you knew what you were doing, and you knew exactly what it was you were about to do as well.
As you stared at Zuko, you could register the fear in his eyes, the fear and regret.
The same thing you felt on that night he had attacked you, the pure fear running through your veins.
You had promised yourself you would never hurt anyone, you swore to yourself that you would protect people and keep them safe.
“If you want to do this… then that’s okay…” Zuko whispered.
You pointed your other hand at him, the charge was nearly finished.
Zuko gave you a sad and broken smile.
“Tell uncle I’m sorry…”
He closed his eyes and something in your snapped.
There was a loud crash, and everyone slowly opened their eyes to see what horror waited before them.
The trees in front of you had been blow down, a small fire in the centre where the blast was aimed.
You had fallen to your knees over Zuko.
He was still pinned below you, your knees rested on the dirt and you had your head cast down.
Zuko flinched when he felt something fall on his face, and he opened his eyes when he felt it again.
His eyes gazed up at yours, watching as the tears slowly slipped free as you stared at him in pure horror.
His heart pounded in his chest, his breathing was ragged and he was shaking.
Your tears fell on his face as you slowly fell to the side, resting your hands in your knees as you bowed your head down to hide your face.
“I’m.. I’m a monster…” you chocked out.
You swore you’d never hurt anyone, you’d protect people and keep them safe.
And out of pure, unresolved emotion you nearly killed Zuko.
You nearly killed a person.
A person you once trusted with your very life, a person who you had grown up with and whom you loved with your whole heart.
And he nearly died by your very hand.
Slowly Zuko sat up, turned to look behind him at what was left of the trees before he turned to you.
He reached out and hesitated, then finally reached out fully, placing his hand on your head before he quickly pulled you into him.
You wrapped your arms around Zuko, all the hatred and anger you felt was gone, you were scared, upset, ashamed.
Your fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt as you cried into his shoulder.
He held you tightly against his chest, burying his face into your neck as he let a few tears slip free.
Aang and Katara ushered Sokka and Toph away, leaving the pair of you alone.
The worst of it was over now, whatever happened now was up to whatever you and Zuko decided to do about what had happened on that night

Percy Jackson and The Olympians Season 1 Review (3/3)
Part 1 • Part 2
What I dislike:
Poseidon appearing when Sally called him. Actually, shout out to that scene because it made me realize a different side about the whole "Gods' worlds view" I had not considered before! The main conflict if this series is the demigods being angry at their godly parents for not being present in their lives, but what we do not see is the human parents' POV. The Gods do not respond to them either. For a human maybe the God was the love of their life, but we know for a fact that there are demigods who share same parent and are the same age. That says it all. Gods sees these "epic romances" as another affair more. Maybe they had a good time and they found you incredible, but what to a human was a few months (maybe years,if you are lucky) of magic, for an immortal God that must be like a week or something. Not everyone is a Hyacinthus or Ariadne or Psyche, sadly. So I don't think he will be answering out of nowhere just because
Percy and Annabeth being already teased about "having a crush" on each other. In my opinion, the first book is to develop their friendship, the next books have the job to do the romance. So it feels like too much, too rushed, too soon for me
There is a lack of urgency throughout the show. Partly, it was because all the monsters walk slowly and never attacked or felt threatening at all . Making the trio miss the time limit made it worst, especially because there was not consequences. The war was supposed to have started, but it didn't because it didn't happen in the books either, so all of that was pointless.
I do not love that Percy has a sassy attitude towards Zeus from the beginning. I feel that showing him being nervous while talking with Zeus in Book 1 is a great juxtaposition to the end of Book 5 when he is confident and being his sassy self in front of all the Gods, shows character growth
Minor complaint about Olympus: all the thrones look the same instead of being designed according to each God. Wish they at least make Hera's golden, that happened in myths, it is canon
In the books Luke tries to kill Percy with a scorpion showing how he really is joining the dark side, here that didn't happen and that is disappointing
Annabeth following Luke and Percy to the woods while she is invisible is weird, isn't it? It does not makes sense why she did that and just makes you question her intentions and if she has done stuff like that before. I genuinely hate it
We do not get to see Percy having to choose between staying at Camp all year or going back with his mom. It is important because it shows what kind of guy Percy is and what his priorities are. He is a mama's boy and he going back to Sally speaks volumes about his loyalty and love for her
This version of Gabe did not deserve to die. He was just some dude, maybe useless but he did not hurt anyone or anything so the punishment is no proportional to his actions. If they town down the aggressions, is only fair to do the same with the punishment. Also, the casting does not hel. Mr Timm Sharp has a wholesome vibe. He really reminds me of Paul Rudd. I can see him playing the role of a loving father just like Paul did with Scott in the first two Ant-Man movies easily
This is not about the show itself, so I didn't know where else to put it but I genuinely love to see the interviews. The cast is super fun, have better chemistry just being themselves than in the show , and overall I have a better time watching them than the show, sadly

Kiran is luck itself. And that luck is causing problems in FEH, an analysis. (Part 1!)
(Disclaimers first. One, I’m drop kicking my Kiran is a deity theory from this post, but elements of it will pop up bc it’s hard baked into the game now. Two, my understanding of Norse mythos is very limited and I might get some stuff wrong. Am doing my best, but if there’s any hiccups I apologize ;; also Part 2 is here.)
Luck in FEH is a big big thing.
It's in gacha, which is the core mechanic of the game, but it's in the story too. And I think this luck is causing massive fucking problems as time goes on, but specifically to Kiran as well.
Tumblr media
In the original Norse mythos, Odin/Alfador knows the future to come. His best buddies are Loki and Thor, who together make up the Norse Trio. Surtr is meant to bring about Ragnarok, and end the world.
But something is weird in FEH's story, and we can safely say now that Ragnarok is averted or subverted after the events of Book 2 and everything that has gone on since. FEH's story has derailed so hard from Norse mythos that we can't predict anything anymore, and it's thanks to 1 Summoner allying themself with Alfonse & co.
Bc see, Kiran's real power is half from their ability to summon heroes, and other being their incredible fucking luck. In fact, here’s a brief overview of how each book was won in Askr’s and their allies’ favor real quick. (Feel free to skip over this segment under the read more if you don't need a refresher.)
Book 1: Kiran gets dropped into the world of FEH after Alfonse & co seeks out the legend behind Breidablik. Their situation immediately turns around from being helplessly invaded to invasion repelled. OoH gets fully established as a result of Kiran’s presence. Lucky them!
Book 2: OoH travels to Nifl then to Muspell, fighting against a tyrant named Surtr who is unkillable due to his Rite of Flames. Helbindi intervenes by removing the sacrifice needed for the rite, and the Order drop kicks his ass into the aether. Lucky for everyone!
Book 3: Hel invades Askr, but one of her generals, Lif, turns out to be an Alfonse from an alternate world who wasn’t so lucky and everyone died. Passing that dead Kiran’s Breidablik to our Kiran, we luckily gain the power to kill that which cannot be killed, Hel.
Book 4: Freyja seems to be keen in trapping Kiran in the dream world through a bluff, but Kiran decides not to believe in the bluff and kills her and wakes up to find that Alfonse is actually still alive. Lucky them!
Book 5: Reginn is the luckiest here, in that finding out she’s the real successor to the throne of Niðavellir. By accepting and allying herself with the OoH, they do the difficult task of killing her brothers and taking out Eitri to bring peace to Niðavellir.
Book 6: Thanks to Kiran preventing Alfonse from cutting down Bruno all the way back in Book 1, Bruno eventually pulls off the ultimate sacrifice and helps Askr and Embla achieve peace. Lucky, but tragic.
Book 7: The Kiran we know happens to pick up a glowing Breidablik which has been +1’d and can break everyone out of a perpetual time loop. Lucky them, since the other Kirans did not make it.
So. Kiran is not winning necessarily by having incredible power. They are winning by being in the correct place, with the correct people, under the correct conditions, and having the correct power-ups.
And even if you want to argue it's about raw power, the ability to summon powerful heroes is also dictated by luck in the gacha mechanic.
In short, Kiran and whoever allies with them is surviving by sheer luck.
Tumblr media
The problem here is that, despite preventing Surtr from causing Ragnarok, Kiran is now... effectively causing Ragnarok.
OKAY to be fair it's more like preventing a meteor from impacting the earth directly by shattering it into a billion pieces, but having to deal with the small bits and aftermath. The Ragnarok was the meteor, and while Surtr was going to be the trigger, a lot of things were already in motion long before Kiran's arrival. Askr and Embla's 'feud' for example. Taking out Surtr only seems to change the trigger and cause smaller explosions instead.
Kiran is definitely helping, but in doing so have gone from being a curious insignificant interloper to a outright formidable entity in the world of FEH. In fact, the more they seem to fix, the more things change, and the more the world reacts to their actions and accepting their presence. And also, drawing attention to them and theirs.
Which. Causes problems. More so for one guy who knows everything. Alfador.
Tumblr media
If I were Alfador, I would be interested in paying super close attention to this cryptid the moment they landed, more so because they don't fully belong in the world of FEH.
There's some evidence of this. Loki and Thor immediately puts them on a watchlist as early as Book 1. As part of the trio, they would know some things about the prophecy, especially Loki. Since Loki LOVES chaos and fun, it's entirely possible she's very invested in Kiran's ability to fuck shit up.
Loki even seems to give Kiran and co a chance to break fate in Book 2 by letting them mess with Surtr's Rite of Flames. And once that they've proven they can, and again in Book 3 by killing death Herself, all bets are off.
Kiran. Can. Kill. Gods.
Which then kind of makes sense for what happens in Book 4. From what I can understand, it seems like 4 was a whole ploy by Freyja to keep Kiran trapped in the dreamworld through a bluff. In Book 4 chapter 15:
Freyja: I don't suppose you CAN remember what happened... If you could recall, the dream would likely collapse. Be that as it may, the truth is that this mortal you care so much for, Prince Alfonse, defeated death... And with that, He Who Created Everything, Alfaðör, has decided... Prince Alfonse could no longer be allowed to exist. A decision made by the Creator is absolute. His will is truth—and as you know, truth is inescapable. Yet here you are, fleeing... Soon you will have no choice but to accept it. Prince Alfonse is gone. You will never see him again!
The bluff itself is very interesting, since it's the first time we see the name Alfador be dropped directly in Kiran's face. It's also a hint that Freyja and Alfador may be working together, since Freyja doesn't have a real gain out of trapping Kiran in the nightmare realm aside from for the hell of it otherwise. (And maybe also to kill her brother. Is she in on it?)
PLUS, Alfador in FEH is the CREATOR. Which adds to Kiran being something he did not create, and seriously does not bloody belong in the world of FEH!
AND now in Book 7 Gullveig seems to have been brought into existence because of Kiran in... a way. It's ambiguous here but that luck works, in weird messed up ways sometimes.
So to reword this in another way...
Kiran's superpower is LUCK itself. And they are actively breaking fate with it, in doing so causing ripple effects which drastically alters events. Alterations which one Alfador may or may not like.
And the more they survive, the more gods die, the more things change, the more aggro Kiran will draw unto themself and their allies. Which means, Kiran could become a Surtr replacement in the worst case scenario, but will likely crawl out of the carnage. Through luck. Again.
So in summary....
Alfador has high blood pressure now.
Edit: a part 2 has been written!

Supernatural (Dean Winchester x Female!Reader)
Tumblr media
Faith
Masterlist
*3rd Person POV*
The familiar Impala drives up to this abandoned house and then parks in front of it. Sam, Dean and (y/n) walk out and open the trunk. Dean removes two tasers. "What do you got those amped up to?" Sam asked Dean. "A hundred thousand volts." Dean replied.
"Damn." (Y/n) said, shocked. "Yeah, I want this rawhead extra frickin' crispy. And remember, you only get one shot with these things. So make it count." Dean said as he hands one taser to Sam and the other to (y/n) then grabs a third one for him.
The trio move down the basement stairs with guns and flashlights until they hear a noise. They look around and see a cupboard against the wall. Dean looks at Sam and (y/n) then whispered. "On three. One. Two. Three."
Dean swings open the door, revealing a young boy and girl crouched down inside, both of them were covering their ears. "Is it still here?" Sam asked them and the children nod. "Ok. Grab your sister's hand, come on, we gotta get you out of here." (Y/n) said to the boy and they nod again.
"Let's go, let's go." Dean said and they move towards the stairs.
"Alright, go!" Dean shouts and Sam starts to take the children upstairs when a hand grabs his legs, knocking him back down. The children scream and run to the top of the stairs. "Sam!" Dean and (y/n) shout as Dean shoots the taser but misses. "Sam, get 'em outta here!" Dean shouts and Sam throws his taser to Dean.
"Here take this!" Sam said and he runs up the stairs and moves the children out of sight.
Dean and (y/n) move around the basement on high alert, shining their flashlights into corners. "Come on!" Dean said and the two start to split off in different directions. Suddenly, a ragged, hairy creature leaps up and shoves (y/n) backwards. She loses her weapon and her flashlight as she falls.
She glances around, scrambles across the puddles of water, grabs the taser and releases it toward the creature as it moves toward her, electrocuting him. The electricity moves from the creature through the water lying on the ground to (y/n). They both shake and twitch as the electric shock goes through their bodies until the creature falls over and (y/n) loses consciousness.
"(Y/n)!" Dean shouts as he runs over to her, a look of worry and concern etched across his face. "(Y/n)? No, no, no, no!" He mutters in a panic when she didn't move or respond. Sam runs down the stairs and sees Dean kneeling before (y/n).
"Dean! (Y/n)!" Sam shouts as he runs over to Dean, who had half lifted (y/n) and was holding her face with his other hand.
"What the hell happened?" Sam asked as tears formed into Dean's eyes. "C'mon, (y/n). C'mon!" Dean pleads.
****
Later, the Winchester brothers were standing at the desk with a receptionist at a hospital. After the incident, they brought (y/n) here to at least try to save her life. So far, the Doctors hadn't given them any updates since they told the boys they were taking her in for tests.
"Sirs', I'm so sorry to ask. There doesn't seem to be any insurance on file." The receptionist said to them. "Right. Uh, ok." Sam said then he looks over after Dean, who gives a curt nod.
Sam removes a card from his wallet and hands it to the woman, who glances at the card. "Okay, Mr. Burkovitz." She said as Sam turns around and sees two cops waiting. He sighs then walks over to them, Dean following close behind.
"Look, we can finish this up later." One of the officer's said. "No, no, it's okay. We were just taking a shortcut through the neighborhood. And, um, the windows were rolled down, we heard some screaming when we drove past the house, and we stopped. Ran in." Sam replied while Dean looks down at his feet.
"And you found the kids in the basement?" The cop asked them. "Yeah." Both boys replied. "Well, thank God you did." The cop said just as the doctor walks towards them. Dean starts to walk over to the Doctor while Sam looks back at the cops.
"Excuse us." He said. "Sure. Thanks for your help." The cop said and Sam nods then follows Dean.
"Hey, Doc. Is she..." Dean started to ask but the doctor raises a hand towards him. "She's resting." he replied. "And?" Dean and Sam asked in unison. "The electrocution triggered a heart attack. Pretty massive, I'm afraid. Her heart...it's damaged." The doctor said and Dean clenches his jaw as Sam's eyes widen and his jaw drops, slightly.
"How damaged?" Sam asked him. "We've done all we can. We can try and keep her comfortable at this point. But, I'd give her a couple weeks, at most, maybe a month." The doctor said and the frightened look washes over Sam's face while there was anger on Dean's face.
"No, no. There's, there's...gotta be something you can do, some kind of treatment." Dean said, roughly. "We can't work miracles. I really am sorry." The doctor said and, upset, Dean walks away while Sam looks over at his brother with worry.
****
*(y/n)'s POV*
God, this boring! I thought as I watch the TV in the room. All that was on was some boring soap opera shows or some dumb daytime talk show. I hear the door to my room open and I slightly look over to see Dean had walked in. But I quickly turn my eyes back to the TV
"Have you ever actually watched daytime TV? It's terrible." I said, my voice was very soft and weak. I almost sounded like I had a sore throat. "Sam and I talked to your doctor." Dean said as I heard the door open again, meaning Sam had walked in.
"That fabric softener teddy bear. Oh, I'm gonna hunt that little bitch down." I growled and I hear Dean sighing at this.
"(Y/n)." Sam said and I look up at them. I let out a small sigh then turned the TV off. "Yeah. All right, well, looks like you boys are gonna leave town without me." I said, resigned.
"What are you talking about? We're not gonna leave you here." Dean said. "Hey, you two better take care of my bike... and my safehouses. Or, I swear, I'll haunt both of your asses." I said.
"I don't think that's funny." Sam said and Dean shakes his head. "Yeah, neither do I." He said.
"Oh, come on, it's a little funny." I said as I give them a small smirk.
There was a long silence between us while both boys look down at the floor. "Dean...Sam..." I said, very softly, and they look back at me. "What can I say, it's a dangerous gig. I drew the short straw. That's it, end of story." I said, shrugging. "Don't talk like that, alright?" Dean said, roughly.
"We still have options." Sam suggests. "What options? Yeah, burial or cremation. And I know it's not easy. But I'm gonna die. And neither of you can't stop it." I said to them. "Watch us." Sam said and I give them a concern look.
****
*3rd Person POV*
"This is John Winchester. I can't be reached. If this is an emergency, call my son, Dean. 866-907-3235. He can help." John's voicemail message said as Sam had the phone in his ears and Dean was in the bathroom, taking a shower.
"Hey, Dad. It's Sam. Uh...you probably won't even get this, but, uh...it's (y/n). She's sick, and uh...the doctors say there's nothing they can do. Dean is pretty....he's pretty broken up about it. Even if he doesn't want to admit it. Um...but, uh, they don't know the things we know, right? So, don't worry, cause we're uh...gonna do whatever it takes to get her better. Alright...just wanted you to know." Sam said as he tried his best to fight back tears and not cry.
He hangs up then tosses his phone on the bed and just sits there silently. Sam just couldn't believe he was gonna lose his best friend in the whole world, this didn't feel right. He had been searching for any clue on how to help her while Dean, at first, did help search but stopped and just moped about. After a few days, Sam had hoped that this specialist in Nebraska could help.
There was a knock on the door, which takes him out of his thoughts, and he looks up quickly, tears in his eyes. Dean had just walked out of the bathroom as Sam goes to the door and opens it to find (y/n) leaning against the door frame, looking terrible  Her eyes darken and her face looked gaunt.

*(y/n)'s POV*
After I knocked on the door, it opens and I see Sam standing there and he looked confused and surprised to see me. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked me as I see Dean come up from behind him. "I checked myself out." I said to him.
"What, are you crazy?" Dean asked as I entered the room and leaned against everything with reach. "Well, I'm not gonna die in a hospital where the male nurses or doctors aren't even hot." I joked while Dean huffs at this and Sam scoffs and shuts the door.
"You know, this whole I-laugh-in-the-face-of-death thing? It's crap. I can see right through it." Dean said to me. "Yeah, whatever, dude." I grumbled as I go to one of the chairs nearby. I look up at them and get a better look and realized they looked like they hadn't slept well.
"Have you boys even slept? You two look worse than me." I said as both of them go to help me in a chair. "I've been scouring the Internet for the last three days. Calling every contact in Dad's journal." Sam said.
"For what?" I asked him.
"For a way to help you. One of Dad's friends, Joshua, he called me back. Told me about a guy in Nebraska. A specialist." Sam said and I look up at him and chuckled.
"You boys are not gonna let me die in peace, are you?" I said.
"We're not gonna let you die, period. We're going." Sam said to me and I let out an exasperated sigh.
****
The Impala bumps along a rutted gravel road toward a large white circus tent set up in a field. The boys and I could see people making their way toward the tent across the very muddy ground, many on walking sticks or helped by others.
Once we get parked, the boys get out and Dean runs around to help me as I open the door and look around. A sign next to the tent reads The Church of Roy LeGrange. Faith Healer. Witness The Miracle.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me." I grumbled as I get out of the car. Dean was helping me out as Sam comes over to me. "Here..." Sam said but Dean pushes him away and growls. "I got it."
"Dean..." I said, exasperated, and he glances at me then nodded as he holds my arm. "Sam...I thought you said we were going to see a doctor." I said to him as I look at the white tent. "I believe I said a specialist. Look, (y/n), this guy's supposed to be the real deal." Sam said as Dean shakes his head.
"I can't believe you brought her here to see some guy who heals people out of a tent." He grumbles at Sam.
"Reverend LeGrange is a great man." An elderly woman, who was passing by us, said. "Yeah, that's nice." Dean mutters as we walk past an angry man remonstrating with a cop.
"I have a right to protest. This man is a fraud. And he's milking all these people out of their hard-earned money." The man shouted. "Sir, this is a place of worship. Let's go. Move it." said the Officer and they walk away.
"I take it he's not part of the flock." I remarked as I gestured toward the man. "But when people see something they can't explain, there's controversy." Sam said. "I mean, come on, Sam, a faith healer?" I exclaimed. "Maybe it's time to have a little faith, (y/n)." Sam tries to assure me.
"You know what I've got faith in? Reality. Knowing what's really going on." I stated and Dean nods. "I agree." He said and Sam looks between us.
"How can you two be skeptics? With the things we see everyday?" Sam asked us, astonished. "Exactly. We see them, we know there real." I said. "But if you know evil's out there, how can you not believe good's out there, too?" Sam asked me. "Because I've seen what evil does to good people." I replied as we get closer to entrance of the tent.
****
Then a young blonde man, who was walking in front of us, turns to us. "Maybe God works in mysterious ways." The guy said and I smile at him as I checked him out. He had wavy blonde hair, blue eyes, square-jawed, and well built, he looked like the cliche jock type boy that all the girls would fawn over.
"Maybe he does. I think you just turned me around on the subject." I said to him and he chuckles at this. "Yeah, I'm sure." He said.
"I'm (y/n). This is Dean and Sam." I introduced as I hold my hand out to him. "Liam." He said after he takes my hand and shakes it.
"So, if you're not a believer, then why are you here?" Liam asked me. "Well, apparently my best friend here believes enough for the three of us." I said as I gesture between me and the boys.
Then an older woman approaches Liam andnpurs her arm around him. "Come on, Liam. It's about to start." She said then she smiles at the three of us and heads inside the tent. "Well, I bet you he can work in some mysterious ways." I said as I enter the tent.
****
*3rd Person POV*
As (y/n) was checking Liam out, Dean was feeling something in his chest, almost like something was burning. Then he realized...was he jealous? "Well, I bet you he can work in some mysterious ways." (Y/n) said, with a smile, as shs enters the tent. Dean scoffs then asked, quietly. "What does he got that I don't?"
Sam looks at Dean and gives him a slightly confused look until he realized what Dean was grumbling about. He starts to laugh. "A-Are you jealous?" Sam asked Dean, quietly. Dean looks at his brother then said. "No." Then he heads into the tent after (y/n) while Sam chuckles at this.
****
*(y/n)'s POV*
The tent was full of people finding seats, and then there was a small stage at the front where a lecturn stood with candles on it. "Yeah, peace, love, and trust all over." Dean mutters as he looks up. Sam and I follow his gaze and see a security camera up in the corner. I start to take a seat but Sam puts an arm around me and starts moving me toward the front.
"Come on." He said. "Don't! What are you doing? Let's sit here." I said as I point at the chair I was about to take.
"We're sitting up front." Sam told me. "What? Why?" Dean and I asked just as Sam starts moving me up the aisle. "Come on." He said and I rolled my eyes as Dean growls. "Oh, come on, Sam."
"You alright?" Sam asked me. "This is ridiculous." I grumbled as Sam points to three empty seats behind Liam and his mother. "Perfect." Sam said. "Yeah, perfect." Dean said, sarcastically.
"You take the aisle." Sam said to me as he leads Dean into the two inner chairs and Dean helps me in my chair. Even though I should be annoyed that he keeps helping me like I'm helpless, a part of me likes that he's being this tentative.
****
On the stage, a blind man wearing sunglasses, Roy LeGrange I presumed, was helped to the lecturn by a woman. "Each morning, my wife, Sue Ann, reads me the news. Never seems good, does it?" Roy said, gesturing towards the woman, and the crowd agrees with him. "Seems like there's always someone committing some immoral, unspeakable act. But, I say to you, God is watching." Roy said.
"Yes he is." The crowd murmurs among each other.
"God rewards the good, and He punishes the corrupt." Roy said and the crowd nods and cheers or murmur. "It is the Lord who does the healing here friends. The Lord who guides me in choosing who to heal by helping me see into people's hearts." Roy said and the crowd continues to murmur.
"Yeah, and into their wallets." I whispered to the boys and Dean chuckles under his breath.
"You think so, young lady?" Roy asked and I quickly look up just as the crowd immediately falls silent. I looked around at the crowd, nervously and embarrassed, before I speak. "Sorry."
"No, no. Don't be. Just watch what you say around a blind man, we've got real sharp ears." Roy said and the crowd laughs. "What's your name, darling?" Roy asked me. I hesitate for a moment then clear my throat before I reply. "(Y/n)."
"(Y/n)." Roy said as he nods to himself. "I want-I want you to come up here with me." He said and the crowd begins to clap while Roy's wife, Sue Ann, moves to center stage, smiling at me. "No, it's ok." I said, shaking my head.
"What are you doing?!" Sam asked me in a whisper. "Being smart." Dean whispers back at him.
"You've come here to be healed, haven't cha?" Roy asked me and I hesitate again. "Well, yeah, but ahh..." I stammer but the crowd claps and makes encouraging noises. "... maybe you should just pick someone else." I said but I look to my side and see Sam is looking at me like I'm insane while the crowd claps loudly.
"Oh, no. I didn't pick you, (y/n), the Lord did." Roy said. "That's right! Yeah! Come on!" The crowd cheered and I look around at everyone. "Get up there!" Sam said to me, excitedly. I look at him then at Dean, hoping for some sort've answers. But all he did was shrug. I reluctantly rise to my feet and move toward the stage. Sue Ann moves to assist me and stands me next to Roy.
"You ready?" He asked me. "Look, no disrespect, but ahh, I'm not exactly a believer." I admitted. "You will be, honey. You will be." Roy said, smiling, then he turns to the crowd.
"Pray with me, friends." He said and the crowd lifts their arms up and joins hands with each other. Roy lifts his hands to the air, then places one of his hands on my shoulder, then the other on the side of my head.
"Alright now. Alright now." I hear Roy mutter to himself and immediately I felt weak at the knees and my head felt heavy. I sink to my knees while Roy still had his hand on my head. "Alright, now." Roy whispers as I wobble and my eyes fall back in my head and I slip and fall to the stage floor.
****
Then my eyes burst open and I began to gasp as I see Sam and Dean standing over me, both of them looked worried. The crowd were clapping like crazy as Dean had a hold of the front of my jacket, shaking me slightly. "Say Something!" Dean pleads.
I blink groggily and look up. Roy was also standing above me, hands out from his sides, palms up, looking happy.
But beside, and slightly behind, Roy was a tall man in a black suit with white hair, very white skin and extremely wrinkled skin. He stares at me then turns away and vanishes while I watched him, shocked.
****
"So, you really feel okay?" Sam asked me as we sit in a room back at the hospital. We came back, the next day, to make sure that this healing stuff actually worked as I do feel better. I feel like my old self before I got electrocuted.
"I feel fine, Sam." I said as I couldn't shake off this feeling. I mean, I should be happy for feeling better but...why do I feel so wrong about it?
****
The door to the room opens, breaking me out of my thoughts, as I look up and see the doctor coming in, holding som paperwork. "Well, according to all your tests there's nothing wrong with your heart. No sign there ever was. Not that a woman your age should be having heart trouble, but, still it's strange it does happen." She said to me.
"What do you mean, strange?" I asked her. "Well, just yesterday, a young man like your boyfriend here, twenty-seven, athletic. Out of nowhere, heart attack." She said, gesturing towards Dean then looks over at me and I nod back at her, not bothering to correct her that Dean wasn't my boyfriend. "Thanks, Doc." Dean said to her and she nods. "No problem." She said as she leaves the room.
****
"That's odd." I remarked. "Maybe it's a coincidence. People's hearts give out all the time, (nickname)." Sam said and I shake my head. "No, they don't." I replied as I go put my jacket back on.
"Look, (y/n), do we really have to look this one in the mouth? Why can't we just be thankful that the guy saved your life and move on?" Sam asked me. "Because I can't shake this feeling, that's why." I admitted, loudly
"What feeling?" Dean asked me.
"When I was healed, I just...I felt wrong. I felt cold. And for a second...I saw someone. This, uh, this old man. And I'm telling you, guys, it was a spirit." I said.
"But if there was something there, (y/n), I think I would've seen it, too. I mean, I've been seeing an awful lot of things lately." Sam said and I nod. "Yeah, I know psychic wonder. But you're just gonna need a little faith on this one. Because I'm gonna tell ya, Sam, this is different than the visions you and I have experienced." I said to him.
Sam sighs while Dean nods slightly. "Yeah, alright. So, what do you wanna do?" Sam asked me. "I want you to go check out the heart attack guy. Dean and I will go visit the reverend." I tell them and both boys nod at me.
*****
That afternoon, Dean, Roy and I were sitting on the couch while Sue Ann was standing and filling up a glass. "I feel great. Just trying to, you know, make sense of what happened." I said to them. "A miracle is what happened. Well, miracles come so often around Roy." Sue Ann said.
"When did they start? The miracles." Dean asked Roy. "Woke up one morning, stone blind. Doctors figured out I had cancer. Told me I had maybe a month. So, uh, we prayed for a miracle. I was weak, but I told Sue Ann, You just keep right on praying. I went into a coma. Doctors said I wouldn't wake up, but I did. And the cancer was gone." Roy said as he takes off his sunglasses, revelaing that his eyes are white.
"If it wasn't for these eyes, no one would believe I'd ever had it." He said to us. "And suddenly you could heal people." I said, questionable. "I discovered it afterward, yes. God's blessed me in many ways." Roy said. "And his flock just swelled overnight. And this is just the beginning." Sue Ann tells us.
"Can I ask you one last question?" I asked Roy.
"Of course you can." He said.
"Why? Why me? Out of all the sick people, why save me?" I asked him. "Well, like I said before, the Lord guides me. I looked into your heart, and you just stood out from all the rest." Roy replied.
"What did you see in my heart?" I asked him. "A young lady with an important purpose. A job to do. And it isn't finished." Roy said and Dean and I look at each other, slightly surprised.
*****
After a few moments, Dean and I were leaving Roy's house when we see Liam and his mother were waiting to go in. "(Y/n), hey." Liam greets, brightly. "Hey." I said.
"How you feeling?" Liam asked. "I feel good. Cured, I guess." I said and he nods. "What are you doing here?" Dean asked Liam. "Oh, my mom, she wanted to talk to the reverend." Liam replied just as Sue Ann comes onto the porch.
"Liam?" She asked. "Yes, I'm here again." Liam said, softly, as he walks up to her. "Well, I'm sorry, but Roy is resting. He won't be seeing anyone else right now." Sue Ann said and Liam's mom's eyes widen at this.
"Sue Ann, please. This is our sixth time, he's got to see us." She said to Sue Ann. "Roy is well aware of Liam's situation. And he very much wants to help just as soon as the Lord allows. Have faith, Mrs. Rourke." Sue Ann said before she goes back inside
Mrs. Rourke stares after her then turns to look at me and I could tell she was frustrated. "Why are you still even here? You got what you wanted." She spat at me. "Mom. Stop." Liam said to her as he places a hand on her shoulder. "No, Liam, this is too much. We've been to every single service. If Roy would stop choosing these strangers over you. Strangers who don't even believe. I just can't pray any harder." Mrs Rourke said.
"Liam, what's wrong?" I asked him. "I have this thing..." Liam said, hesitantly. "It's a brain tumor. It's inoperable. In six months, the doctors say...." Mrs Rourke said until Liam puts a hand on his mother's shoulder, stopping her.
"I'm sorry." I said and Dean nods. "Yeah, me too." He said and Liam nods. "It's okay." Liam said and his mother slowly turns her head and stares into her son's eyes. "No. It isn't." She said then she turns to me, anger washed over her face.
"Why do you deserve to live more than my son?" She spat at me and this makes my heart shatter and even more guilty about this. "Now wait a damn minute..." Dean starts to argue but I placed my hand on his shoulder. "Dean, don't. It's okay." I said and Mrs Rourke scoffs then walks away.
Liam takes a deep shaky breath and follows her down the stairs. I turn and watch them go before I turn back and look at Roy's house.
****
Dean throws his keys on the bed as we enter the hotel room while I take off my jacket. "What'd you find out?" Dean asked Sam, who was at his laptop, while Dean takes off his jacket as well. "I'm sorry." Sam said, softly, as he looks up at us. "Sorry about what?" I asked.
"Marshall Hall died at 4:17." Sam replied and I stood there, stunned. "The exact time I was healed." I whispered. "Yeah. So, I put together a list of everyone Roy's healed, six people over the past year, and I cross-checked them with the local obits. Every time someone was healed, someone else died. And each time, the victim died of the same symptom LeGrange was healing at the time." Sam said.
"Someone's healed of cancer, someone else dies of cancer?" Dean asked and Sam nods. "Somehow. LeGrange...he's trading a life for another." Sam said and I raised a hand up.
"Wait, wait, wait. So, Marshall Hall died to save me?" I asked and Sam gives me an upset look. "(Y/n), the guy probably would've died anyway. And someone else would've been healed." Sam said and I shake my head.
"You never should've brought me here." I said. "(Y/n), I was just trying to save your life." Sam said to me. "But, Sam, some guy is dead now because of me." I said. "I didn't know." Sam exclaimed and I look at him. "I know...I know." I said, exasperated.
"The thing I don't understand is how is Roy doing it? How's he trading a life for a life?" Dean asked. "Oh, he's not doing it. Something else is doing it for him." I said, shaking my head slightly.
"What do you mean?" Sam asked, curiously. "The old man I saw on stage. I didn't wanna believe it, but deep down I knew." I said.
"You knew what? What are you talking about?" Sam asked me with worry. "There's only one thing that can give and take life like that." I said and Sam looks at me, confused, while Dean had his eyes widen in shock.
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Dean asked me and I nod. "What?" Sam asked and I look back at Sam.
"We're dealing with a reaper." I replied.

So, what do you think would have happened to Amphibia if its third season got shortened down to three hour long specials like Owl House did?
So A: this question is flawed. The shortening wasn't told to TOH's crew post S2. They were told WELL in advance. Dana is on record (source) for having said as much. The news came down on episode 7 of S2. Reasonably, this probably meant not a lot of S2A could have been changed due to deadlines but I don't know how all this works that well. For the sake of this, I'm going to mostly assume that something could have started changing starting episode eight and more drastic changes could be done after the mid season hiatus.
B: TOH needed S2B to mostly look identical to setup for going into the human realm, for having the Day of Unity as the finale and for the Collector to be set up as a villain by then. There are maybe two episodes you could change but nothing that is emblematic of the problems of S2B as a whole. Here's an entire blog about that. Btw, I published that blog before the finale came out and my opinion is mostly that that blog is kinder than it should have been.
C: I am not going to say this is a better version of Amphibia. Some might though. A lot of people think S2B and S3 of Amphibia is loaded with what they see as filler. Even I agree that you could probably cut a fair amount and not lose the core of the show. I'm about to demonstrate that. Also, just inherently because of a faster pace, the show would have to be more about the trio, or feel that way at least (again, I'll get into it), which the majority of the Amphibia fandom argues is what the show should have done anyways. So yeah, it's kind of an interesting conundrum.
D: I'll mostly talk about the weaknesses of this rewrite once I'm done. For anyone who needs a refresher though: S2, Episode 7 of Amphibia, the last one before this change, is one after Marcy at the Gates and has the segments "Scavenger Hunt" and "The Plantars Check In." Oh and before I get to the three specials, I'll mostly just be trying to slot in episode segments because that feels the most fair to actually capture a reasonable timeline for the show. Like I'm not coming up with cheats to handwave issues that this change would cause. As such, I'm not going to do something like cut The First Temple in half just for the sake of claiming more time. Once we get to the specials, that will change because those episodes' structures would have inherently changed, kind of like how The Hardest Thing has a different structure due to its extended run time. Until then though? I'll mostly be trying to effectively Mad Libs this off of what we already have despite the fact that the creators would have, at least if they're responsible, made changes to work within their new time frame. I'm going to give myself one unreasonable shift in return for this handicap effectively of not being able to change the core structure of the show or its plot points.
ANYWAYS. With that out of the way:
For the sake of pacing, you probably do Lost in Newtopia and then the Sleepover to End All Sleepovers as episode 8 because we can't literally go straight into leaving Newtopia and one could argue that the sleepover is important foreshadowing. However, the next episode is then a double whammy of A Day at the Aquarium to say farewell to Newtopia and still have that touching confirmation of the found family before then skipping Night Drivers and going straight to Return to Wartwood for the second segment, bringing us up to nine.
Then I would actually move Toad to Redemption into the first slot for episode ten because it is thematically important and a good rallying moment for Wartwood. You could also replace with Ivy on the Run for the sake of Sprivy and just make episode 13 into episode 10 by making After the Rain be the mid season finale. It's dramatic enough to do so and lets:
The First Temple opens S2B and episode 15 of the normal show, New Wartwood and Friend or Frobo stays too in order to help setup Wartwood's relationship with humans besides Anne and to get Frobo in. That brings the count to 12.
Then you do episode 17 as episode 13, Barrel's Warhammer and The Second Temple, because we do still need a bit more time with Sasha to prep for True Colors and The Second Temple is obvious. However, I'd probably swap their positions because then episode 14 is The Third Temple (so you don't have two temples literally back to back, even if the two are different episodes like in the actual show) and The Dinner... With Battle of the Bands being cut. It's Sasha's weakest episode, is just kind of reinforcement of a few elements and some expansion on the three's relationship, though mostly Anne and Sasha. The Dinner is needed though to get Sasha with the other two and heading to Newtopia because...
There is a quarter season finale now with True Colors. It is ABSOLUTELY the most radical choice in this rewrite and you could arguably say that it's not fair because Disney wouldn't have allowed them to have that episode as anything but a season finale. This is the only 'cheat' I'll give myself since I'm not altering episodes drastically or the like to fit in with the new time frame. Plus side: They'd have the compelling pitch that in five episodes, they CAN get back to Amphibia to make that the season finale. Otherwise there isn't really much to change before S3 because so much has to wait on the major turn of Andrias becoming the main villain. That version of this outline though, that S2 doesn't change at ALL, is... A genuine nightmare on a lot of fronts and honestly less reasonable than thinking this would be allowed and I'll get to why after the outline. Oh, there is one change that needs to happen unfortunately: Frobo probably doesn't make it in this version after this. Polly and him unfortunately just aren't important enough to really get the wrap up they do in S3. It does mean that mechanic Polly during the ending probably has an RC robo or the like with her to help explain where her being a mechanic came from.
Anywhos: Episode 16 is The New Normal... Mixed with Anne-sterminator. Anne is honest about the danger they're in from go and instead of the quarantine montage, we get her actually beating the Cloak Bot first try to show how far she's come to her parents and to show off the new powers alongside their cost.
Then you do Fight at the Museum followed by Turning Point for episode 17 to start the ball rolling on getting back as well as get Sasha into place and finish up her arc.
Episode 18 has Temple Frogs because the Plantars DO need to still connect with Earth and Temple Frogs is EASILY the best episode of that as it explores how different Anne is from the start of the show and how that isn't entirely a good thing because of the things she's now ignoring, fits thematically with the show as a whole and is just a lot of fun. The other side meanwhile is Olivia and Yunan. I would almost not advocate for keeping this episode for a lot of reasons but it's kind of necessary in order to set up for:
The Core and the King is in episode 19 because Andrias' backstory is REALLY important to how he is beat and to also understand what the Core is and what the kingdom of Amphibia can do. What the stakes are to all of this. It is also the one segment in the actual show itself that explores the villain so you can't really cut it. The other half of the episode though is If You Give a Frog a Cookie because we need Terry.
Especially because you might have noticed that I didn't include Mr. X. There just isn't room for them for the most part which luckily... Is okay. He's fun but his parts can be mostly replaced either with faceless people or Terry. You can also just go with his first appearance actually being him taking the Plantars in this episode. Maybe there's been foreshadowing at the end of Earth segments of someone watching. Something that only takes a few seconds but builds up to honestly having Escape to Amphibia be mostly the same as it was but with a reduced cast and less familiarity with Mr. X as a villain.
So that covers S2. Now there are 3 45 minute specials on average to cover all of S3B. Or more so there's two specials to cover the seven episodes between Escape to Amphibia and The Hardest Thing because Amphibia's finale already had an extended time slot. As 45 minutes is effectively two episodes each, you need to save on three episodes. Six segments.
That's... easier said than done because the segments are actually incredibly important to Amphibia's storytelling and these specials could technically be split into four segments each but more likely they actually have to tell a through line story per special. You can't jump AS MUCH as you could before.
So Special 1 starts with effectively Commander. The reintroduction to Wartwood and the finalizing of Sasha's new self after her character arc is not something you can really leave out. Plus side is that Commander Anne is a really efficient eleven minutes to introduce what Amphibia is like now and you probably don't do the pampered brat routine with the Plantars which is not a real loss. The theme of this special though is allies so the target of Sasha's mission when Anne gets back changes.
The goal is now to free Mother Olm. This way you can skip the Olms themselves and still get the prophecy and foresight from Mother Olm that sets up the finale. It also allows a smooth transition into meeting with Mother Olm in general. She warns them they'll need allies once they're done and we get a montage of the a lot of what people consider filler in S3 with getting allies, though mostly the Toads, Newts and the Killerpillars probably. You could also do this with people splitting up so that each one gets a truncated version of the full segment to get them. Then the final portion of the special is Sasha and Anne hoping their efforts paid off before Sprig shows Lief's hidden room to get Lief's letter.
Then Special 2 is effectively episodes 16 and 17 of S3. Just consolidating the army, heading out, then protecting Earth after midway through the special everything goes wrong. Not really anything even has to be changed here really except just smoothing out the transitions between segments. Admittedly, the Plantars probably rely more on Domino 2 to replace the loss of Frobo and unfortunately Polly just doesn't have a lot to do in All In.
Then Special 3 is literally just The Hardest Thing. Pretty much no changes I think because the elements for it have still been covered.
And that's it. It's not by any means perfect of course. Elements are rushed and some elements probably feel neglected or abandoned entirely. I already mentioned Polly but this version also means Sprivy is ignored post S1 effectively and just has a nice come back at the end of the finale (which is a good argument for Ivy on the Run over Toad of Redemption for the filler segment in episode 10 of the rewrite). Worse yet... Sprig is kind of ignored and Anne and his friendship is mostly left fallow. I admittedly don't think the show does the best job keeping it burning post S1 but S1 sells it HARD already as part of the stable base of the show so it's not a big problem. It also harms the connection to Amphibia itself so a line like "They aren't Amphibia's greatest treasure" doesn't hit as hard.
It would almost certainly feel actually rushed... Which is a fuckton better than what happened with TOH because TOH doesn't feel rushed. Its three specials are incredibly bloated with plotlines THEY introduce, or S2B introduced, that go nowhere. Or hell, resolutions that mean nothing, like how Luz finishes her character arc THREE. FUCKING. TIMES. Even people who love TOH still will admit the majority of For the Future is filler. That it does nothing to actually move anything forward, wrap much of anything up that couldn't have been left alone (besides Stringbean but that moment is cut off at the knees immediately by the finale's dream sequence) and those are people who won't bring up how Willow had her power problems resolved literally two seasons ago. S3 is so bankrupt on what to do to fill the time that they bring it back anyways, alongside Kikimora who has NO REASON to still be a villain we're dealing with.
That is the HUGE difference here. TOH doesn't actually feel like we're missing out on anything with its S3 besides fluff and maybe a bit of exploration on the whole Grimmwalker thing. The specials just don't feel like they actually know what to do in the first place though. It makes it feel like we're mostly missing out on filler but there's already so much of that in these episodes. Even the elements that could have been expanded, like Belos backstory, the human realm shenanigans and the Collector's redemption are rough because none of these are from before the shortening. Only Hunter's arc is really something stared BEFORE THE SHORTENING. Belos' backstory and the contradictory nature of The Collector, like how he absolutely knows what death is during Hollow Mind and is a complete evil fucker there... Are written in S2B. They were included and written as part of the shortening. Hell, the human realm and the Collector as a whole weren't even planned for S3 supposedly. They were things they wanted to do but didn't have a place for them and so just jammed in these MASSIVE new elements that needed more time than was available with no care for the fact that they had NO TIME. (I don't have a source for this unfortunately.)
Admit you didn't have a plan for your show without admitting you didn't have a plan.
That also brings up an element that I brought up at the top: How much the story might have actually changed. I'm having to work off of the main outline provided by the show but it's entirely possible that The Core might not have been included. That Earth might not have. Changes would have happened to the overall story and it's kind of impossible to reasonably guess how. After all, I wouldn't have guessed that an all powerful child and a trip to the human realm would have been responses to a shortening for The Owl House.
So I did my best and I still stand by that this would still be a fine to good version of the show. That it wouldn't have been impossible to tell a full narrative with the time given. One that is still thematically coherent, has a strong finale that doesn't contradict itself and still has plenty of fun in it to counterbalance the higher focus on the more dramatic elements.
That's still a LOT better than can be said for TOH's finale, let alone its three specials.
======+++++======
I ended up just rewriting the outline as a way to give it more thought instead of copy and pasting the first one I wrote. *whimpers*

Headcanon time: Dr Atlas' overworld counterpart is the same scientist that created Doc and Stress (also trio trauma bonding, because why not)
Also I can't help but imagine this scenario happening if Tango gets kidnapped and taken back to Hels:
Non Life Hermits: "You're back early."
Life Hermits: "Tango was kidnapped."
Non Life Hermits: "What?"
Life Hermits: *grabs weapons* "Tango was kidnapped."

……. so how’d you feel if your ‘headcanon’ became ‘canon’

🐐 Goat - is your character artistic? do they create? how is their sense of fashion? 🐉 Dragon - is your character lucky? do they believe in luck or fate?
for anyone from red death :3
~ @void-botanist
oooo thank you!! time to do this for the main trio :3
🐐Goat - is your character artistic? do they create? how is their sense of fashion?
RED -> cannot be artistically creative to save her life, which is really funny considering what her powers are/curse is—which tbh i should actually explain. so, red’s curse is that she can create anything but anything she creates cannot be undone. it sounds great in theory, but it means that: let’s say she creates a tree because she wants shade. that tree can never not exist now. someone could try and cut it down and they couldn’t, someone could try and uproot it and it’s impossible, it is now a permanent fixture of the world and it cannot be undone. red has a small “hack” around this which is — to a certain extent she can create “nothingness” to sort of reverse engineer stuff she creates but creating functioning air molecules in place of what she’s made gets very difficult the larger and more complex something she makes is. so, tbh red doesn’t use her curse often because it is a hassle. she has only, since discovering it by accident, used it three times for very specific reasons. and by the time the book ends she will use it a fourth time in a very massive way 👀 but i’m getting ahead of myself this is off topic. AHEM. she can be… creative in means of death if that makes sense, but she doesn’t really view it that way—she views herself as being very straightforward even if most people wouldn’t think that way. i can’t think of a good example but she is very much likely to suggest full body dismemberment to deal with a problem tm.
fashion wise, red hasn’t allowed herself any luxuries for years and when she meets hel the only thing she owns that looks nice is her red cloak that she wears. the rest of her clothes are dirty and tattered (bc if you hadn’t guessed, one of the things she’s created is that cloak so it’s impervious to the elements, to burning, wear and tear etc. same can’t be said for everything else of what little she owns).
HEL -> can be a creative person with incentive. he does scribble down his thoughts or visions he has, but he doesn’t feel like a deep seated desire to create like how you and i perhaps feel about writing. however he does enjoy looking nice, well groomed and put together. he gets very uncomfortable if he hasn’t bathed or has worn the same clothes for long periods of time so this whole “traveling on the road” thing isn’t really his Thing.
ARDEN -> used to be a musical child when he was young and before the wolf queen killed his father; despite all the gambling, his father always praised him for his voice because it was sweet and strong like his mother’s but arden’s out of practice now. he thinks swordplay in itself can be artistic and remembers seeing sword dancers at traveling circuses in his youth, but there’s no entertainment that goes through their kingdom anymore. fashion wise even without being in hiding he’s always preferred function to frills and would rather have a hearty pair of leather boots than a silk shirt any day.
🐉 Dragon - is your character lucky? do they believe in luck or fate?
RED -> she’s too disillusioned to believe in luck or fate, and if she did, she’d curse it because it seems her very existence is a curse upon all who are with her. (not to be melodramatic but).
HEL -> because he can see and know the answers to anything (being the oracle) he doesn’t believe in luck because he’s cheated luck with his curse. however, he does believe in fate and believes himself to be an instrument of fate and so a lot of how he acts while it main seem shady to those on the outside, is actually to preserve a sense of free will without mettling too much into people’s destinies.
ARDEN -> all his life people have been preaching to him about destiny. he was destined to be king, until the wolf queen, and now he’s destined to defeat her. he isn’t sure if he quite believes in fate but he does certainly think that he has luck on his side more often than not; there’s no reason he should still be alive if he didn’t.

I don't have a perfect grasp on Jubei as a character yet (haven't even started a proper character study of him) but I was thinking about him the other day, and his role as a father. People like to talk/debate/joke about him being a good or bad parent, and I get that's its own conversation, but it got me thinking.
I ended up, uh, rambling here, so TLDR;
I think Jubei's decision to start taking in kids like Ragna, Luna and Sena was inspired by a lot of complicated feelings, including
Every time he leaves, thinking the kids will be safe, things go to shit- he's guilty for that and doesn't want to make the same mistake again. (Kokonoe clearly hated her childhood, he left the kids with Celica and then the Church Incident happened)
Ragna looks so much like 'Bloodedge,' there may have been a sense of closeness/familiarity there, and a desire to not leave his friend behind a second time- especially to face certain death again (Bloodedge v. Black Beast, kid Ragna v. Terumi)
Ragna's desire to hunt down and kill Terumi could also bring back memories of Tomonori, who Jubei let chase Terumi despite knowing he couldn't win- and surprise, surprise, Tomonori died. Could Jubei let another person make the same mistake??? Let a fucking kid do it?
Jubei never really agrees to be a father or a parent to these kids, and doesn't see himself as one. He agrees to be their teacher until they're strong enough to take care of themselves, because they have no one else.
Wow even my TLDRs are too fuckin' long
As for the theory/rant in its entirety, which may just repeat the same points in more words;
I'd argue that Jubei hasn't wanted to be a father since Kokonoe. I haven't been able to read the parts of Phase Shift where he and Nine are together, so I don't know how he felt about having a child on the way. But as I understand it, he didn't leave her until he was being framed as a terrorist, being hunted down, at risk of being executed/assassinated.
He left Kokonoe behind in hopes she would be safer without him. Ultimately that may not have been the best choice, but it was a reasonable choice for a man who would have to spend the rest of his life on the run. And since then, I don't think he's ever seen himself as a father.
He got involved in Ragna's life first when he rescued the sibling trio from the lab where they were being held. We don't know a hell of a lot about that story either, but it seems like he had zero intention of raising any of them. He brings them to Celica, where he thinks they'll be safe and he can fully trust that they'll be loved. He views Celica as capable of being a parent, but he knows he himself isn't. He's a wanderer, a warrior, he can't provide the kids the life they deserve. So, again, he leaves them behind, where he thinks they can have a better life.
But he's wrong. He's so, so wrong. After the attack on the church, Jubei's only remaining family is dead, and everything Ragna had is also gone, assumed dead. Jubei walked away once and hurt his daughter, he walked away twice and lives were lost.
I think his choice to take Ragna in, after that, was a complicated one. I don't think Jubei ever saw it as adoption. I'd argue that Jubei and Ragna are undoubtedly a family, but I don't think Jubei would call it that openly, and I definitely don't think he was looking at it like that at the start.
I think, for Jubei, it was the only choice left after his neglect had caused so much pain.
And I think, knowing Terumi was at the heart of it again, seeing Ragna's hatred and desire for revenge, I think maybe Jubei thought of Tomonori. The brother he lost because he let him chase Terumi alone. Maybe that circled back, as another person his inaction/abandonment had left to die. How could he walk away again? Let another person charge unprepared into a fight against Terumi? Let a kid do it?
And I find it pretty hard to believe that, looking at young Ragna, Jubei didn't see his old friend. Bloodedge. Someone who changed his life, someone he held onto the memory of years after the short time they knew each other. Someone who also 'died' (as far as Jubei knows) because Jubei left him behind- even if he was asked to, even if they agreed upon it, even if it was for the best.
Tumblr media
And even then, Jubei never considers himself a father. He doesn't let or encourage Ragna to call him 'dad', even though it's clear he loves him like a son. He doesn't see himself as a father. He agreed to be a (combat) teacher. That's what Ragna wanted and (in Jubei's eyes) needed at the time. It's what Luna and Sena would later need of him. Jubei has been a warrior all his life- he can be a teacher. But I don't think he thinks he could be a father, and I don't think he would ever agree to be one if asked. Not since he lost Kokonoe.

My Future
Derek Hale x OC
Samantha, Stiles and Scott are always joking about the impossible. Who wouldn't when your best friend's dad is the sheriff of Beacon Hills? All jokes stop when they realize the impossible is indeed possible.
Tumblr media
Chapter 57: Alex?
At a recent crime scene, the Sheriff examined the vehicle and saw the claw marks on the hood of a wrecked car.
His fingertips ghosted the marks as he sighed and started to head over to where his trouble making kids were.
Stiles was getting an arm cast on his right arm, wincing as the man tightened it and placed it on him properly. Only Scott and Sam were the unhurt ones, but pretended like they had killer headaches.
"What in the hell," the trio turned, and saw the Sheriff headed toward them. "Were you three thinking?"
Scott shrugged, slightly smiling. "We were just trying to help."
"Why don't you try and help me understand what the hell happened?", Sheriff asked.
"Right, well," Stiles started. "We were trying to gently persuade him to pull over."
Sheriff furrowed his eyebrows at his son. Stiles raised his brows as Scott explained what happened, only droning on as he realized he terrified the poor man with his werewolf looks.
Sheriff raised an eyebrow at Scott who had a guilty smile plastered on his face. Sam shook her head and turned to the sheriff.
"He was trying to get away?", she asked.
"He got away." Sheriff stated.
"Right," Stiles nodded. "Because obviously, he's some sort of criminal mastermind, Dad!"
The trio watched as the Sheriff led them towards the back of the van that the man was driving.
"You wanna guess what the stolen merchandise is?", he asked, opening the back doors and showed them gas tanks.
Scott sighed in disappointment, already knowing what they were.
Stiles, on the other hand, started mindlessly guessing. "Critical life saving medical equipment?"
Sheriff pointed a finger at his son. "No."
"Poison gas?"
Noah shook his head. "Nope."
Stiles thought for a bit. "Is it filled with drugs?"
The sheriff leaned forward for dramatic effect. "Helium."
Sam and Stiles looked at him in confusion.
"Hel-lium?", Stiles asked, incredulously. His father nodded and shooed them away, dismissing their suspicions about the "culprit".
The trio disappointedly headed towards the Jeep, got inside and drove off.
"Well, now I feel ridiculous.", Sam muttered as she looked out the window.
Scott smiled from the driver's seat. "Maybe this is a good thing."
"That we saved helium?", Stiles asked, making Scott and Sam chuckle.
"I mean that… they don't need us anymore.", Scott corrected. Sam snorted in dismissal. "Okay."
Stiles rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, they need us. They just don't know it."
"We're all going off to college soon so Beacon Hills is gonna have to survive without us." Scott said.
"Beacon Hills would burn to the ground without us.", Stiles determined.
"He's got a point, Scotty.", Sam agreed from the backseat.
"Stiles," Scott looked at him and Stiles returned his look with raised eyebrows.
Scott frowned, focusing back on the road. "They don't need us."
Stiles didn't respond. Only until his phone vibrated, indicating that his father needed him for something.
Being right, he waved his phone in Scott's face with a smile. "They need us!"
They learned that the boy's parents were missing and they were having trouble locating his family, which is why they were called there.
The trio showed up to the sheriff's office, seeing
Liam and Hayden had brought a boy named Alex to the Sheriff's Office.
Stiles stared at the boy. He reminded him of him and how the Darach had taken his father. He was distraught and scared.
They were willing and determined to help the boy in any way necessary.
Scott knelt down beside Alex and placed his hand on the back of his shoulder.
"You ready?", Scott asked him and Alex nodded, taking a small breath as Scott flicked out his claws, and pricked them in the back of the boy's neck.
Alex instantly grunted in pain, as he tried to endure the pain of Scott's claws while his memory resurfaced just by a bit. Scott tried and finally found the memory that he needed.
After a few moments, a terrified Scott stumbled away from Alex, gasping. Sam and Stiles caught him, concerned.
"What happened?", Sam asked and glanced at the younger boy.
Stiles turned to Scott. "What'd you see?"
"I saw a guy on a horse.", Scott responded.
"Horse?", Stiles asked, confused.
"He had a gun.", Sco5t described.
"Okay," Sheriff started. "A guy with a gun… that sounds like my department. Not yours."
"Okay, then, what about his parents? What happened to them?", Sam asked. "I don't know," Scott shook his head. "That's all I can remember…"
"They're coming back." Alex spoke suddenly, lifting his head to stare at them.
The next day, the trio brought Lydia to the abandoned car in the junkyard. Stiles and Sam sat in the back of the car, waiting for her to also gain a sense of death.
She couldn't, and had Lydia walk over to the car. She touched the windshield, closing her eyes tightly.
Once she couldn't get a feeling, she took her hands off and opened her eyes before opening the car door, and sat in the driver's side.
Her hands glided up onto the wheel, gripping it firmly and she closed her eyes once more.
After a moment, she opened her eyes, looking at her reflection in the rearview mirror and sighed, catching Sam and Stiles' attention. "What?", Stiles rushed.
"This is a perfect shade for me.", Lydia cooed, patting at her eyeshadow. "Forget the name."
Sam gave her an unamused expression. "Really?"
Stiles blinked at the strawberry blonde. "Can we please stay on topic here?", he asked as Scott went to the front of the car.
"I'm not getting anything.", Lydia said. They paused as they heard a coyote howling, knowing it was Malia.
Lydia got out, grabbing Malia's clothes. The werecoyote jumped over a junk pile, moved over to the car and morphed back into her human form.
Her eyes were still glowing blue and slowly dimmed back to brown. "I don't think they're dead.", Lydia said to her.
"They're dead. Probably torn apart.", Malia said for sure as she got dressed. "The only thing I don't get is why there's no blood."
"They're not dead. If they were dead, I'd sense it.", Lydia said and Sam agreed.
"If they were alive, I'd smell it.", Malia countered. "But I'm not getting anything either.", Scott said.
Stiles turned to look at him. "Scott, what are you talking' about? You were in his head for four minutes. I timed it."
"Well, it's not an exact science. And he's a kid. Maybe, he's too freaked out to remember."
"Okay, so what about the horseman?", Sam asked. Stiles nodded. "See? There's something, okay? And his parents were taken."
Malla sighed. "Why does it matter if they're dead? Dead is dead."
"Okay, if it's just a robbery, we can't help them. And if it's something supernatural, my dad can't help them.", Stiles countered.
Lydia narrowed her eyes at him. "It sounds like you want it to be supernatural."
"It's been, like, three months since anything's happened.", Stiles shrugged.
"And we couldn't take a break during those months because you were too busy trying to be a busybody.", Sam countered.
"And I'm not some sort of supernatural metal detector.", Lydia shot back at Stiles.
"Okay, okay. But you can't tell me that you think this is just some series of impossible coincidences?"
Lydia scoffed. "What I'm saying is maybe normality wouldn't be so bad."
She left with Malia and the trio sighed. Sam walked over to the car and opened the driver's door once more and sat in the seat.
"Nothing's making any sense. Even if they are dead, where could their bodies have gone?", Sam muttered.
Scott didn't respond as he looked at the car as well.
Sam glanced at him as he stared back at her. Well, not at her but the broken windshield.
Stiles walked up to the quiet boy and looked at what he was looking at. "What?", Sam asked.
Stiles nodded. "You're being weird, staring at a broken windshield.", Stiles told Scott.
Scott didn't take his eyes off of it. "There's something wrong with it.", Scott said. "It's broken."
Sam and Stiles nodded, trying to understand his obvious statement.
"And it wasn't a magic bullet. It was a regular bullet. That blew out a regular windshield.", Scott specified. He looked at all the other cars in the junkyard.
"Just like that one, and that one," Scott pointed and noticed they all had the same type of damage. "And that one."
Stiles looked at the cars as well, turning back to look at the windshield and noticed a shard of glass that was lightly illuminating.
He picked up the glass, gazing over it. "Magic bullet.", he whispered. The next morning at school, it was picture day and Malia was trying to get her picture taken by Sydney.
Smiling wide, she was ready until Stiles stepped in the photo taking. "Malia, so...", Stiles spoke as the flash went off and he turned and gave an apologetic smile to Sydney. "My bad, sorry, go ahead, look pretty.", he told Malia.
He backed out and Malla smiled again and before Sydney took the picture, Stiles jumped in again.
Malia frowned at him. "That was a good one."
Other students in line watched Malia try to get a picture but Stiles kept jumping in. After four more failed attempts, Malla snapped. "Stiles!"
Sydney paused, looking at him in irritation. "You're still in the photo."
Stiles heard the other students talking and groaning in annoyance. "Sorry.", he apologized before Sam pulled him by the arm and tugged him away.
Malia grunted, getting off of the stool and walked over to the table where Scott and Lydia were. "You ruined it.", Malia said.
"Why would I want to ruin your yearbook photo?", Stiles asked as she sat on the table.
"Maybe because you haven't signed up for your own photo yet?", Sam said.
"Yes, I did.", Stiles disagreed, pulling out his form and turning it, showing it to the girls so they could see.
They looked at the paper, then looked at him with uncertainty in their eyes. "It's blank.", they say.
Confused, Stiles looked down, seeing the paper blank and his eyes widened in disbelief.
He remembered filling out the paper, but the ink of his pen was no longer on the paper. "Uh…"
"Or maybe you're sublimating the stress of graduating by avoiding key milestones." Scott chimed in, glancing up at Stiles.
Stiles, Sam, Lydia and Malia looked at him in confusion. "Psych paper.", Scott explained.
Lydia nodded. "Oh."
"Hey, the Deputy searched the car.", Stiles gaining their attention. "No slugs, no exit hole. And the address Alex gave my dad, it's an abandoned house."
Sam, Lydia, Malia, and Scott all glanced at one another. "Come on! Missing parents, suspicious guy on horseback, magic bullet. Who's comin' with?", Stiles asked.
Malia spoke up. "I've got to retake my photos.
Lydia shook her head. "Yeah, not interested."
Scott shook his head. "I cannot miss any more classes."
"Scott." Stiles said, disappointed. "I missed thirty-eight last semester.", Scott said.
"Scott."
"And Lydia's mom is the only reason I'm still in school." Scott nodded. "I can go after school.", he promised.
"You know what? Forget it. I'll take Liam." Stiles glanced up and over at the bench where he saw Liam and paused, gaining his friends' attention to see  Liam was on the bench with Hayden, kissing heavily.
Stiles shook his head. "Yeah, I'm not taking Liam."
Sam sighed, a smile appearing on her face. "I'll go with you.", she said and Stiles' face turned into a grin as he snapped his attention to her.
"Hey, can I get a candid?", Sydney came up to the teens with a smile.
Stiles shook his head. "Uh, no."
Sam nudged his arm and his best friends pulled him towards the table, having him sit in between Lydia and Scott. "Okay, fine."
Sam sat behind three with Malia as Sydney readied her camera.
Stiles reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue shard of glass. "If you can explain to me why this is blue, I'll let it go.", Stiles said, giving it to Scott frowned in curiosity as he took it into his hand.
"Everyone smile.", Sydney said. Everyone sat closer and Sam put bunny ears over the boys' heads.
Later that day, Stiles and Sam stood out in the hall as Scott went to ask about the shard. "I meant to ask– why'd you take that shard with you?", Sam asked the boy.
Stiles shrugged.
She frowned. "Is something new happening that you're not saying?"
"Maybe," Stiles hushed.
Before Sam could question, Scott quickly exited the classroom, rushing to his friends. "Thirty-nine?", Stiles asked.
Scott nodded. "Thirty-nine."
"Yes.", Stiles cheered, and led his friends out of the double doors.
"Okay, new question. Why are we always leaving in the middle of the day?", Sam asked.
"It's our thing. We always do that.", Scott stated.
"Yeah, but we kinda messed up our Sophomore year doing that shit too.", Sam emphasized with wide eyes. "We missed out on so much because of everything that was happening."
"But we're not Sophomores anymore, we're Seniors.", Stiles said.
"Exactly my point. We miss any more classes and we may not even attend prom. Or graduate and I dunno about y'all but I want to graduate.", Sam said.
Stiles smiled. "And we will. And solve mysteries along the way, now c'mon!", he said, pulling her further.
Before they could escape the school, the trio stopped, seeing an irritated and disappointed Natalie Martin.
"Neither one of you are going anywhere.", she said and rounded on Scott. "Thirty-eight classes, Scott. I had to beg the superintendent."
"Mrs. Martin, Scott is the sworn protector of Beacon Hills.", Stiles tried to bargain.
Mrs. Martin shook her head, pushing her students back in the school. "He can protect it at 3:30. Now, get to class. Sam, please make sure they attend their classes.", Natalie told her.
Sam gave Stiles a knowing look. "I told you."
Stiles grumbled as they walked away. "We're not waiting until 3:30."
Instead, they waited until their last class, watching an old documentary in World History. Stiles annoyingly, and impatiently sat in his seat while Scott and Sam gave a quiet chuckle at his impatience.
After a couple of minutes, Sam fell asleep.
Her eyes opened to see an empty darkened road. It wasn't her usual clearing or the usual wide, and open view of the moon staring back at her.
This area was foggy, almost. As she turned around, she could feel a patterned thumping coming towards her.
It wasn't like skipping, but… galloping…
It was getting closer. Close enough to where she could hear the clopping sound of horseshoes. She dove into a nearby bush and waited to see who was coming.
It was indeed a horse, but atop it was a man dressed in dark weird clothing. Like a dark cowboy…
He slowed his horse down as he looked around as if he were looking for Sam. She was ready to back away from the horseman only to be awakened by Stiles shaking her awake.
The class was over and it was finally time to go.
Sam felt disturbed once they left the school. It was unnerving.
The memory was almost washed after the trio arrived at Alex's abandoned house.
Looking at Alex's swing made her feel bad. How old was Alex? What was his relationship like with his parents? What happened here??
Stiles handed Scott a flashlight, leading his friends up to the house.
Once they got to the porch,  Scott reached for the door handle, ready to rip it off until he twisted the knob and the door easily opened, making the trio frown in suspicion.
He turned the knob, pushing in the door and it creaked open, as Scott looked around inside.
The boys led Sam around the empty house and inspected each room.
All of them were practically empty. Scott, uneasy, turns to his friends. "You wanna split up?"
"Uh, absolutely not.", Stiles shook his head. Sam's eyes widened at Scott as she muttered. "What type of stupid ass question…", she trailed off as she felt a sensation toward a dusty spiral staircase, similar to Derek's and walked over to it.
The boys watched her before following her. "Uh, are you seeing something we aren't?", Stiles asked.
Sam didn't say anything, but her eyebrows furrowed. She needed to find this feeling. A sense of dread. And it was only in one part of the house.
Why?
"Uh, hello? I thought you said no splitting? Sam?", Stiles called as they followed her down a hallway to a door.
"What's wrong with this door?", Scott asked.
"Maybe Alex got the address wrong.", Scott muttered.
"Or he lied.", Stiles suggested.
"Why would he lie?", Scott said as Sam inspected the door.
"I don't think he did…", Sam mumbled, staring at the door as it illuminated with spots.
Stiles grabbed the knob, turning it slowly and opened it up, seeing a bright, colorful room. There was a nicely made bed with the covers folded neatly, the floor was cleaned, and there were pictures and toys that were set up.
"Why didn't the cops say anything about this?", Scott asked, glancing around.
Stiles turned off his flashlight, turning to Scott. "They don't know it's here. They can't come here without a warrant, and there's no owner of record to serve a warrant to. So unless there's some kind of threat or imminent danger, they wouldn't come in."
Scott nodded and suddenly turned his head, staring out into the hall. Stiles and Sam's eyebrows furrowed. "What?"
"I think I heard something.", Scott replied, leaving the room. Sam almost followed him. "If you hear something, you better say something!", she warned.
Stiles caught her attention as he stared at some pictures. "What's wrong?", she asked. His eyebrows furrowed. "Alex… he's alone in every picture.", he replied, making her look at the pictures herself.
She picked up one picture and inspected it and he was right. Alex was alone.
She turned around and saw Stiles looking at the bed.
"What?", she asked.
"You didn't hear that?", he asked her. Her shoulders dropped, exasperated. "Look, now–"
Stiles shook his head as he moved around the bed. "I heard it. I promise I heard it."
He got down on his knees, grabbing the sheets of the bed and pulled up for him to see.
Sam waited until he would tell her what he saw, only to hear him breathing heavily in panic as he shot up.
He looked out the windows before looking at her. "Did… Did you see that?"
Sam frowned and pointed a finger at him. "That's enough crazy shit for today. He's hearing something and apparently you just saw something I didn't see. What the hell is going on?", she asked, leaving the room.
"Yeah, we need to go," Stiles got up onto his feet. "We need to go. Now.", he said, following her. They only stop as the sound of wind whirred behind them.
They paused and Sam looked at Stiles with wide eyes. "What the hell was that?" She looked over his shoulder and her heart dropped. "Stiles.", she called, warningly and he turned around to see what she was seeing.
It was the same figure from her dream. Why was he here? Were there more?
Before they could move anymore, the man reached for his side, drawing out a gun and Sam growled.
The cowboys aimed at her and her eyes widened. "No!", Stiles yelled as he watched the man's trigger finger.
Stiles quickly pulled the girl aside, quick enough to dodge the bullet.
Stiles pulled her into safety, taking cover from the oncoming bullets. The more bullets that came the more pressured Sam felt and Stiles could only watch in panic as his vision became dark.
Was he dead? Did he get shot and he couldn't feel it?
He couldn't have because he was still hearing his own panicked breaths and someone else's.
Sam.
He felt a body next to him, but it was dark. All until a shaded light flashed over his vision. It was like he was seeing through sunglasses, except he was in one big glass. The bullets stopped. The room was quiet.
He looked at Sam who looked around in trembling shock. He pressed his hand against the darkened barrier. It was cold. He turned back to her as she slumped against the barrier. "You- you made a forcefield?", he asked.
Sam shrugged, still shocked. "I guess so."
They heard heavy footsteps rushing up to them as they saw Scott and Liam. "What the hell happened!?", Scott asked.
The two werewolves could only see a 6 foot tall black ball, similar to a life sized magic 8 ball. They couldn't see their friends, but the bullet holes and damages in the room was enough to set them in panic.
In the barrier, Stiles banged his fists on the wall and turned to Sam. She dropped the barrier, causing Stiles to stumble and shocking her fellow werewolves.
Sam's hands shook as she looked at Scott, Liam and Mason.
Stiles looked at Scott who was looking for an answer. "He was here.", Stiles explained. "He shot at us. The guy you saw in his memory."
"The guy who took his parents?", Mason questioned.
Stiles shook his head. "No, no, no. They weren't just taken. They were– they were made to disappear. That's why there's no furniture, that's why they weren't in any of the photos."
He took a deep breath. "They were erased."
Everyone stayed silent.

sometimes I forget how easy it is to get stuck in a Renbob mood. I went for a walk in the woods, gathered some flowers again, which is like an IMMEDIATE thing for me, but I'm also drawing Grian -- specifically a hippie grian "redesign" which is how I sorta remember him dressing -- and I'm like. man, man I miss home. I need to draw Impulse too. or maybe I want to continue writing that drabble of us three outside area 77. there's so much to do! I get super embarrassed sharing writing with people but I'm able to talk about stuff we did, like myself deciding we need a music break from working. small stuff like that. or making Grian a flower garment a bit too wide so he kept it as a necklace. Or Impulse just putting one in his hair because it was uncomfortable. that's... quite a ramble so ill leave it there. I'm too full of care for our trio!

Awh! All that sounds really sweet! Don't worry about rambling that's what this blog is here for after all! -mod Hels
