...Week 4...ish
No excuses here...except that I was moving, didn’t have internet, and have been nauseous as hell. Pregnancy hasn’t been good to me at all. And now I’m making a midnight-ish post because for some goddamn reason I decided to cook a turkey today. Life has been a hectic battle, so I’m leaving that as it is. No more excuses.
As far as writing goes though, I’ve actually been getting TONS of progress done despite life throwing endless curveballs. I’ve set myself a clear checklist of everything that needs to be done for my current project, Heremup. I’ve also managed to weed through TEN YEARS worth of notes for my book and have organized it all. Or at least mostly organized it all anyways. Between days of unpacking and cleaning the new apartment I’ve organized these papers, rewriting what needs to be rewritten, and perfecting the To-Do checklist.
From here on I’ll have clear weekly goals, starting in January. Next week I don’t expect myself to really complete much as I have other tasks to do. However, I’ve also been working on plans for my page here as well, and am hoping to increase activity, sharing more writing inspiration and an additional view into my writing activities and reading journey. Some writing challenges might be in the works as well...
So all in all even though I haven’t been particularly active online, I definitely haven’t been dormant when it comes to my writing. Next week I’ll definitely have a few more things to talk about at the very least if not a tiny bit more progress.

Week 5...Actual Progress!
FOR ONCE I am proud of the work I’ve done in the past week! I have made massive progress on my Heremup to do list. I’ve nearly finished copying over all of my notes, only have a couple more pages to go out of around 50-60 pages. I also completed a couple of odds and ends, small five minute tasks that just had to be done.
I’ve also been working on a project that I’ll be announcing later this week! Something I’m actually really, really excited about. This week I’m gonna be setting my writing goals for January, which will probably be posted either later this week or during next week’s update. Other than that I don’t have any other writing goals set for myself this week, taking it a bit easy for the last few days of 2020.
So the last thing I have to talk about this week is my Heremup to-do list! There’s many tasks that I have left to do before I continue my writing and they are as follows:
     ~Rewrite all Heremup notes
~Finish/Edit character sheets (11 different ones)
     ~Design world map
     ~Fill out worldbuilding packet
     ~Fill out culture sheet
     ~Edit outline (as needed)
     And then I start writing!
Even though it doesn’t seem like a lot of things to do, there is easily hours of work ahead of me before I start writing once again. So for now I’m gonna leave it at this, and get ready for a 2021 full of writing progress!

Week 2...And 3?
So in my constantly hectic life. things have gotten sliiightly more chaotic as moving and preparing to move has completely uprooted my schedule. So because of this, and slightly overdoing things in my pregnant state, I also ended up overworking myself in some areas whilst my writing suffered, and last week the only writing goal I completed was organizing my book, Heremup’s, notes and various papers. This even was done kind of half-assed though. I did end up getting two more pages of my thought dump for my other book idea written down though so it wasn’t a total loss.
This week I worked a bit harder when it came to my writing goals and I feel like I sufficiently completed some goals, and progressed on others. I finished two more pages of my thought dump for the previously mentioned book idea, leaving me over halfway done with nine pages left. I’m continuing to complete that thought dump throughout the week as well, already making more progress on it.
After that I spent a little over an hour, (sixty-seven minutes to be exact) looking through my Heremup papers. Even though I barely scratched the surface of completely organizing these pages I still felt like I made a lot of progress, bringing just a tad more organization to my writing. This is always welcome in my book. I also spent time whilst doing this developing a “Heremup To-Do List” which is my way of making sure I complete everything I need to to help out my writing process. I find having lists is the easiest and most effective way for me to complete everything I need to do, and keep track of all of my progress.
The last thing that I did as far as my goals go was stress about buying printer ink. Why does it have to be so damn expensive?? Seriously! It’s just ridiculous!

And...it begins.
So this is the beginning of my blogging journey, however it is not the start of my writing journey. I’ve been writing my current book, Heremup, since I was twelve. Obviously the book I was writing then is nothing compared to the book I am now writing at age 23. I feel like the book has matured with me as I’ve grown as a writer, however my love and passion for writing has never diminished.
Which brings me to this blog, and my reasoning for it. In my life I have very few people who I can talk to about my writing and wanted to connect with more writers as well as give others a look into the life and journey of another writer. Maybe we’ll all feel a little less alone and give each other some motivation for our writing! Looking forward to posting on here at least once weekly about my writing journey!

Day 5 - Writing Challenge
What are five places I’d like to visit? Fictional places are included.
5. Egypt. Ever since I was a young child I have loved Egypt and wanted to see all the large attractions. I was always fascinated with mythology which is where my love for the country stemmed from. This was always my top pick for country research projects in school as well.
4. The Amazon Rainforest. This is a newer love of mine, relatively speaking compared to the rest of the choices on this list. In my late teens I developed a fascination for rainforests and so naturally, was drawn to the Amazon. I think rainforest’s are amazing, and there’s still so much we have to learn about the species contained in them. They hold so much mystery for me and I love a good mystery.
3. Greece. Greek mythology is my absolute favorite mythology, and so naturally I’ve always wanted to visit the country that the myths talk so much about. Honestly it’s as simple as that.
2. Hogwarts. I’ve always wanted to be a student at Hogwarts, wanting desperately to live as a witch. I wanted to explore the halls and attend classes. I even wanted to do the homework! Ah, if only.
1. Heremup, Mushroom Forest. And in first place comes the Mushroom Forest from my book. The location is a village where all the home’s and buildings are actually giant mushrooms. Faeries and other small magical and nonmagical creatures also live in this forest, which is the second safest place in Heremup. It’s an extremely colorful and lively place, and honestly I just love how peaceful it is. Making myself a home in this forest would be my ultimate dream.

Week 6...Slow but Steady
So this week’s progress has been minimal, yet still productive. I’ve been doing a lot of journaling which I think is starting to boost my creativity. I also have been working on my 10 Day Writing Challenge, which I am loving right now. I’ve been having lots of fun doing it. I also have made my January writing due dates. The due dates are as follows:
January 7th - Rewrite all Heremup Notes
January 11th - Wolfman’s Character Sheet
January 14th - Punk’s Character Sheet
January 19th - King Halpert’s Character Sheet
January 24th - Mya’s Mom Character Sheet
January 30th - Daunahvind’s Character sheet
                        BONUS - 1,000 Words Due
January 31st - 1/2 Worldbuilding Packet
I’m hoping to get that all completed this month, and by my next entry I should have rewritten all of my Heremup notes and finished Wolfman’s character sheet. I’m hoping that my health allows me to do this much, as lately with the pregnancy its been extremely hard to do anything for extended periods of time. But enough on that.
I haven’t gotten anything else done as far as progress goes. So here’s to another week of potential progress, and two deadlines to complete.
