Megan Cruz spent a good chunk of her childhood somewhere else (probably Latissa, or perhaps another titan landmass) before her father Diego moved back to his childhood home of Bonesborough to take up a job as a captain in the Emperor's Coven, and Megan enrolled into Hexside's high school fraction and joined the oracle track.

She is among the first ninth-graders that Hiro met after he joined the school himself, and is a part of the school's newspaper club along with a couple of witches in her track... But the club doesn't have the best rep around and is often a subject of ridicule amongst the student body. Hiro's group doesn't think like that, but they found themselves at odds with the oracles later on as well...
