am reading the stuff i’ve missed for my HHD class and it says a thing here that i feel like i should share.

it states that “ ‘Positive’ does not necessarily mean ‘happy’ emotions, but rather, any emotions that are expressed in a constructive or appropriate manner.”

it also mentions that “Negative emotions are a normal part of life, and the ability to recognise and distinguish negative emotions is an essential component of optimal health and wellbeing.”

ugh. so glad i took this class actually.

Dinner and breakfast for my vegetarian guests for rosh haShanah! My stove broke and one guest brought a wee electric pot so we could have pumpkin rice (and i used it to boil the eggs) which saved the day-- looks more like a sukkot spread and i couldn't make challah but it was extremely fun and rewarding to work together and make it work!

ran the gauntlet last night, fighting everyone there back-to-back for an hour straight, and fell asleep at work I was so tired, but got to dance and the sub put on actually good music and immediately forgot how much I hurt. fuckin love that feeling.

#she put in the little kick-spin-booty pop move in the choreo and I was like oh thank god #and she asked if there was anything we wanted to change for next class and the sweet boy said nothing! same moves same music! do it again!#it's probably the most fun I've had in dance class since the early days of floor work #but I'm taking a break from that right now so I can go back and not have it be rote and experience it new anyway #it's a little funny tho. doing lunges and I'm practically flat on the floor while the dudes are mostly upright.#kb #hhd
