SandFire + Princess family tree rewrite! And the changes below!

Brambleclaw is not the father of any of Squilfs kids, they have an unknown sire.

Cinderheart and Lionblaze only have two kids Hollytuft and Honeysnap, a character of two merged characters, Honeyfur and Snaptooth. Cinderheart and Lionblaze’s relationship is not good.

Larksong is now also a merged character of Larksong and Leafshade.

Snowbush, Amdermoon and Dewnose are now the kits of Whitewing and Birchfall.

-Bayshine and Myrtlebloom- Their parents were 2nd cousins once removed.

-Nightheart and Finchlight- Their parents were 2nd cousins once removed, and their paternal grandparents were 1st cousins.

-Ivypool- Her parents were 1st cousins once removed, and her paternal grandparents were uncle and niece.

-Thriftear and Flipclaw- Their parents were 3rd cousins, their maternal grandparents were 1st cousins once remove, and their maternal grandfather's parents were uncle and niece.

-Honeyfur and Leafshade- Their parents were 1st cousins.

-Twigbranch- Her parents were 1st cousins.

-Bristlekit, Stemkit, and Graykit- Their parents were 1st cousins once removed.

Even though Skybranch leaves for Skyclan in the end, I wanna improve the relationship she has with her foster soblings/foster mom and dad.

Snowbush is The Dad. He loves his kids loads and would do anything for them, he extends that to Twigkit. He is devesated seeing her leave but he knows Thunderclan fucked up with separating the 2. He always asks her how she's doing at Gatherings. How is Violetshine? Are you eating enough? Is your den comfortable? What's it like in the camp, is it safe? Are you alright? Any celebrations lately? Do you miss us?

Lilyheart is an amazing mom, she loves playing with her children, and treats them all equal. She also took classes in history, which she tries to teach them as much as she can, though Twigkit already has a special interest in cooking. It also devastates Lilyheart when Skybranch leaves, and she fussed over her before she goes. She would be the mom that asks you to call her loads when you move away. She learned to make Skybranch's favorite food for her at Gatherings. She cries over her at night, she misses her so much.

Honeyfur is the first born, the big sibling. She looks like the grandpa she never got to meet, build wise. She wants Twigkit to feel welcome, but also is a bit of a friendly rival. Loud and boisterous and a bit much for Twigkit, who would rather hang out at the cook-pot. Later in life, the 2 child/mate free girlies love hanging out at Gatherings and After Gathers. Honeyfur is also a gossip QUEEN who would talk Skybranch's ears off if she could.

Larksong thinks Skybranch is ABSOLUTELY part of the Prophecy. He thinks she'll have a power, like the Star-Blessed 4. They just have to 'unlock' it. Many bumps and bruises ensue. These two are gonna give Alderpaw and Sparkpaw a stroke. Thankfully for Twigpaw, it stops after they enter apprenticeship, with Rosepetal keeping Larkpaw very busy. They relatively keep in touch, until Larksong's passing. Skybranch wishes she had been in Thunderclan just a little bit longer, then, or at least been there for Sparkpelt.

Shadeleaf (Leafshade renamed because Leafpool isn't dead) is... Her least favorite. Shadeleaf is rude to her, very possessive over her parents, and has that good old Clan Xenophobia. Shadeleaf is the type of person who "tells it like it is" only their version of honesty is "How much can I insult you and get away with it?" Snowbush and Lilyheart love their children, but Shadeleaf needs a firm hand that she won't be getting any time soon until A Starless Clan. Skybranch and Shadeleaf don't hang out at all afterwards. Skybranch feels no need to be around a cat that made her feel like an outsider when she didn't even want to be there in the first place.

is there any character you really enjoyed re-characterizing in your au that isn't necessarily integral to the plot?

Definitely the relationship between Plumstone and Thriftear is fun to explore. They're best friends who lean on each other, yet also consider each other rivals and always try to outpace and get ahead Both have big aspirations to become leader one day, though arguing who will be the leader/deputy in that situation.

Plumstone is the daughter of Ambermoon and Toadstep (since Blossomfall is with Ivypool and Thornclaw is dead by this point), and her siblings are Stemleaf and Flipclaw. She also has older siblings from her parent's previous leader. She never got to know her older sisters Fernkit and Sorrelpaw, but she did know her older brother Larksong for a period of time before he was killed. The entirety of Ambermoon and Toadstep's first litter died young, and the same fate would befall Stemleaf during TBC arc. As for Flipclaw, he accompanies Graystripe and Larkfeather to the mountains, volunteering to be their Medicine Cat thanks to his temporary work as one during The Broken Code arc. Flipclaw ends up staying with the Tribe, finding himself feeling more at home there, and becomes the mate of Feather of Flying Hawk.

This leaves Plumstone alone. She's the only kit of Ambermoon and Toadstep's that is still in the clans, and she feels immense pressure because of it. Her mother is having a hard time after Flipclaw leaves them, wanting her son to be happy, but still mourning the loss of Stemleaf. Toadstep is concerned about Flamepaw, their grandson, as the black tom never got to know his father, and also now had no mother after Sparkfire fled ThunderClan.

The one who can understand and relate to Plumstone is Thriftear. Thriftear is the daughter of Ivypool and Blossomfall, and her siblings are Shellfur and Bristlefrost. Bristlefrost died from her injuries during The Broken Code, and soon after Shellfur ends up leaving ThunderClan to live in WindClan with his mate Fernstripe. Thriftear too lost a sibling to death and lost a sibling to a new home. She too is alone and has to help her grieving parents navigate through things.

Plumstone is quite strict on herself and is always doing patrols. She may not be Thornclaw's kit, but she's going to still be the "patrol guy" of ThunderClan now. Thriftear is more mischievous and willing to bend the rules. She's distrusting of authority, something which Plumstone teases her for considering she wants to be an authority figure herself. Thriftear wants to lead because she trusts herself, and believes if she's the figure of authority, authority would finally then be trustworthy.

Despite being best friends, the two she-cats also get into arguments a lot, and it's not uncommon for them to be training and joking around one day, and completely ignoring each other the next.
